Need help regarding Modal dialog box in module pool programming

Hi experts,
my program need a dialo box to popup and take some data and on pressing save button in the dialog box, the popup should close and the values in the previous screen should be updated.
my problem is, when i execute the program, i am unable to close the dialog box. i tried use sy-ucomm but found it of no use.
please tell me the way to access the close button in the dialog box.

Try to trigger the popup once it is done with the previous action might be anything.
i have shown one sample code where after i click on save button when the data is saved successfully
after that it has to trigger me a popup asking for conformation for the next action.

F4 help for the screen fields in module pool program

Hi All,
I have a requirement that, i want to provide F4 help for the 2 fields in module pool program. the fields are document number and fiscal year from rbkp table.
i could provide search help for two fields.
but how to select matching fiscal year for that document number.
problem: i am getting fiscal year as first four digits of document number.
please help me to solve this problem.

If your requirement is after selecting the document no from f4 help then the corresponding year should be updated in the document year field then use FM --> DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE
In this function module pass the screen no program & field for which u want to update value

Printing checkbox multiple time on dialog box of module pool.

hey guys,
i want to put checkboxes on my dialog box (popup) With each entry in my ITAB. So i will be dynamic.
Example;- i have 5 names of mentor in my ITAB-NAMES. now i want to put their names on popup screen with a CHECKBOX so that i can select multiple and store the selected names of mentor in another table.
i have created the Popup but not able to create dynamic checkboxes.

Modal Dialog box in Dialog Programe

I have create one Modal Dialog Box in Module Pool.
when i click on the 'X' on the top right side of that screen the Dialog box is not closed.
Can any one help on this?

For the Modal Dialog box you need to create the Status, while creating the status Choose the Status for Dialog box. that time you it will show different Status Options.
you need to set the status to the CANCEL(X) button , Then handle the Function in the PAI user_command module.

hello .. i need some help regarding select options in a module pool program .. i hav tried putting a select options in a module pool prog but i am not able 2 ... can any one tel me why select options r not aloowed in a module pool prog ?? and i read that we hav 2 use ranges 2 fulfil the needs of the select options . is there any way i cal get all the functionality of select options ( eg including , excludig , equal to , not equal to , .... .) using a range ??

Select-options won't work if you declare the program as Module POOL.
if you wants to use select-options like utility in module pool programming

I had a requirement where I need to call a report from the module pool program where in when we click REPORT button, it should display the report output in the another screen.
Can we do by calling screen after pushing REPORT button. If so, where we should write that code ( In pbo or pai). Please give me an idea.

Use submit syntax.
Press F1 on submit, Donot use return statement with it.
If so, where we should write that code ( In pbo or pai).

Debugging of module pool is same as reports, use /h or put breakpoint
but u shud know what u want to check
there are generally two event used in module pool
PBO
This event is used before displaying the screen,It is used to clear fields table, show table control, tabstrip and most important conditionally modify the scrren .
PAI
is used to validate the fields which are entered on the screen with database values and then fetch records from table.
i mean all values to make available in internal table
now u would be sure which part u want to debug.

I have made a screen of Modal Dialog box type . I have one date field on that screen . I have given datatype datum to that field but the serch help for that field is not coming . There is no search help for that field .. Please help..

Calling Selection Screen in Modal dialog box

Hi Experts.
I have created screen 9000 having user interface and in tool bar there is create button in the screen 9000
The create button 9001 will call another screen with different I/O fields (9001 is Modal dialog screen).
In the 9001 there is push button for which the selection screen is called 9002.
I have declared 9002 as subscreen and called the screen 9002 in user command.
In the Screen 9001 when user clicks the push button i need to get pop up screen where the user select some data.
How i need to do ?
I am getting error can't call subscreen in modal dialog box.

How to remove the default icons from the toolbar of modal dialog box screen

Hello Friends,
Iam calling a screen from function module using CALL SCREEN statement.
The screen is of type Modal Dialog Box. I created some input fields and buttons in the screen. When the screen is displayed, I can see the tool bar at the bottom along with the input fields and buttons in the screen.
These icons are Continue(Enter), Check, Cancel. How can I supress this??
I mean in my screeen I want only my input fields and buttons but not the default toolbar. How to do that?

Try this...
First try to capture the F-codes of ur button apppearing on the dialog box and then exclude it from the PF-status by passing it to itab.

       end of tab_type.

      wa_tab type tab_type.
clear tab.
move 'DELE' to wa_tab-fcode.

ALV in modal dialog box

Hi,
I have an ALV on suppose screen 3000, I have created a button in the tool bar to call another ALV, but my question is, can we display ALV in modal dialog box screen(because the requirement is to display ALV as a popup)
So when i changed the screen type to normal screen, my alv is coming,,but when i change the screen type to modal dialog box, then no ALV is being displayed in the output. Only blank screen is displayed.

The problem is that you have to take into account that the ALV in the popup (or modal dialogbox) is displayed on a different screen level:
level 0 = main screen
level 1 = 1st popup
level 2 = 2nd popup
We have up to 9 screen level available.
