Need help with completion and debugging...please

          BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("OmertaEdited.txt"));

     thats my code and the program is supposed to open a text file called "Omerta" and edit it so that it takes out all the double spaces between the words in the text file...ive been told that this should work.......yet i still am unsucessful in compiling the code....all help will be greatfully appreciated

did not tell you that, they told you what was wrong - and is still wrong. And, in addition, you have introduced another error in your curly braces.
You need to understand how to construct a Java class; see this tutorial:
