Need information about FI document with header and no items

Hello Experts!
I need your help for understanding the following subject :
How is it possible when using F.13 to obtain a fi document with header without items sometimes,
and fi document with header and items anothers times?
We didn't saw/found customizing topics about that ( to enable or not header without items) Some exists?
The only difference in the two cases are the document's type involded which are not the same.

We verify and compare everything. it's the same everywhere except the document type of the invoice
first case, F.13 create conciliation fi document with header and no items
invoice ( doc. type YB )
payment ( doc type ZT)
conciliation ( doc type XZ )
2th case, F.13 create conciliation fi document with header and none items
invoice ( doc. type YT )
payment ( doc type ZT )
conciliation ( doc type XZ )
We match / compare every fields and value between invoice of 1st and 2tch case, every fields and value between payment of 1st and 2th case.
( we create tests case in own integration system for reproduce )
We alse match / compare customizing of invoice type document YB and YT and they seems identical...
The procedure is the same with F.13 to do conciliation in both cases.
we got same amount, same currency etc etc.
We still didn't understand why with invoice type YT the conciliation document created is not the same as invoice type YB ...
Nobody have idea ?

Iam checking with document number , document type, document part, document version... it is throwing error message as
error while checking in and storing: version number(25).
Please advice whether it is correct approach?

Need informations about dependency scenario with job chains

Hi,
I created several job chains containing one ora mor scripts.
Now I want to create dependencies between this job chains. For example : job chain 2 must begin when job chain 1 is finished, job chain 3 must begin when job chain 2 is finished etc...
So my first question : how can I do that ? (create dependencies between job chains)
Second point : all this job chains have not the same time periods : example : job chain 1 must execute every day, job chain 2 every monday, job chain 3 every day...... so if i take the example of tuesday : job chain 1 must execute and when it is finished then job chain 3 must execute. On Monday : job chain1, then job chain 2 and for finish job chain 3. How can I do that ?

Hi Yves,
If your chains are not dependent on each other, you should submit them as separate jobs.
So if you have a chain that runs every workday at 18:00, and another chain that runs on Tuesday and Friday at 14:00, and there are no dependencies between the chains, then you should:
- submit the first chain at 18:00, time window "Workdays", submit frame "EveryDay"
- submit the second chain at 14:00, time window "TuesdaysAndFridays", submit frame "EveryDay" (it will skip the days that the time window is closed anyway)
Same for the other independent chains with different schedules. If there are no dependencies, there is no need to combine chains together.
The first reply was for the scenario where you have chain A and B, A starts at some time and B starts after A. Additionally, B only runs on Tuesdays, while A runs every workday. In that case there are dependencies between the two chains, and then a parent chain is very convenient:
- chain "RunAandB", with two steps
- step 1: call chain A
- step 2: call chain B, with a precondition so that B only runs on Tuesdays.

The pricing technique used by most retailers is cost-plus pricing. This involves adding a markup amount (or percentage) to the retailers cost. Another common technique is suggested retail pricing. In Western countries, retail prices are often so-called psychological prices or odd prices: a little less than a round number, e.g. $6.95. In Chinese societies, prices are generally either a round number or sometimes a lucky number. This creates price points.

Alternatively, there can be price discrimination for a variety of reasons, where the retailer charges higher prices to some customers and lower prices to others. The retailer may conclude this due to the customer's wealth, carelessness, lack of knowledge, or eagerness to buy. Another example is the practice of discounting for youths or students. Retail Industry has brought in phenomenal changes in the whole process of production, distribution and consumption of Consumer Goods all over the world. In the present world most of the developed economies are using the Retail Industry as their vital growth instrument. At present, among all the industries of U.S.A the Retail Industry holds the second place in terms of Employment Generation. In fact, the strength of the Retail Industry lies in its ability to generate large volume of employment.
Not only U.S but also the other developed countries like U.K, Canada, France, Germany are experiencing tremendous growth in their Retail Sectors. This boom in the Global Retail Industry was in many ways accelerated by the Liberalization of Retail Sector.
Observing this global upward trend of Retail Industry, now the developing countries like India are also planning to tap the enormous potential of the retail sector. Wal-Mart,the world's largest Retailer has been invited to India. Other popular Brands like Pantaloons, Big Bazar, Archies are rapidly increasing their market share in the retail sector. According to a survey, within 5 years, the Indian Retail Industry is expected to generate 10 to 15 million jobs by direct and indirect effects. This huge employment generation can be possible because of the fact that being dependent on the the Retail Sector shares a lot of Forward and Backward Linkages.
Emergence of a strong Retail Sector can contribute immensely to the economic development of any country. With a dominant retail sector, the farmers and other suppliers can sell their produce directly to the major retail companies and can ensure stable profit. On the other hand, to ensure steady supply of goods, the Retail Companies can inject cash into the production system. This whole process can result into a more efficient production and distribution system for the economy as a whole.

Retail comes from the French word retaillier which refers to "cutting off, clip and divide" in terms of tailoring (1365). It first was recorded as a noun with the meaning of a "sale in small quantities" in 1433 (French). Its literal meaning for retail was to "cut off, shred, paring". According to Jim there are three major types of retailing. The first is the market, a physical location where buyers and sellers converge. Usually this is done in town squares, sidewalks or designated streets and may involve the construction of temporary structures (market stalls). The second form is shop or store trading. Buildings for retail have changed considerably over time. Market halls were constructed in the Middle Ages, which were essentially just covered marketplaces. The first shops in the modern sense used to deal with just one type of article, and usually adjoined the producer (baker, tailor, cobbler). In the nineteenth century, in France, arcades were invented, which were a street of several different shops, roofed over. counters, each dealing with a different kind of article was invented; it was called a department store. One of the novelties of the department store was the introduction of fixed prices, making haggling unnecessary, and browsing more enjoyable. This is commonly considered the birth of consumerism [3]. In cities, these were multi-story buildings which pioneered the escalator.
In the 1920s the first supermarket opened in the United States, heralding in a new era of retail: self-service. Around the same time the first shopping mall was constructed [4] which incorporated elements from both the arcade and the department store. A mall consists of several department stores linked by arcades (many of whose shops are owned by the same firm under different names). The design was perfected by the Austrian architecht Victor Gruen[5]. All the stores rent their space from the mall owner. By mid-century, most of these were being developed as single enclosed, climate-controlled, projects in suburban areas. The mall has had a considerable impact on the retail structure and urban development in the United States. [6]
In addition to the enclosed malls, there are also strip malls which are 'outside' malls (in Britain they are called retail parks. These are often comprised of one or more big box stores or superstores.
Non-traditional exterior of a SuperTarget, JacksonvilleLocal shops can be known as brick and mortar stores in the United States. Many shops are part of a chain: a number of similar shops with the same name selling the same products in different locations. The shops may be owned by one company, or there may be a franchising company that has franchising agreements with the shop owners (see also restaurant chain).
Some shops sell second-hand goods. Often the public can also sell goods to such shops, sometimes called 'pawn' shops. In other cases, especially in the case of a nonprofit shop, the public donates goods to the shop to be sold (see also thrift store). In give-away shops goods can be taken for free.
There are also 'consignment' shops, which is where a person can place an item in a store, and if it sells the person gives the shop owner a percentage of the sale price. The advantage of selling an item this way is that the established shop give the item exposure to more potential buyers.
The term retailer is also applied where a service provider services the needs of a large number of individuals, such as with telephone or electric power.
IS Retail was original develop to meet specific needs of Retail industry where standard SD/MM cannot.
- Significant functionality difference are:
- Store specific features are built into IS Retail where as it is not in
standard SD/MM.
- Mass processing of pricing (some of the retail features were
included as standard SAP as of 4.6)
- Assortment handling is not in standard SAP
There are other differences in inventory costing/valuation etc.
Retail valuation only available in SAP Retail.
What is known in the trade as the "retail inventory method" or the "retail method" involves valuating stocks at retail, often aggregated at merchandise category or departmental level.
Both the cost method and the retail method can be used in SAP Retail.
Actually IS-Retail is a combination of MM and SD plus other funtionalities speacially developed for the retail industry such as:

I need to know if exists some report that gives me more information about release documents in transaction VKM1. What user releases some document? How many documents a credit account had been release or block in a year or between dates?
The transaction VKM2 just gives the release date of the document and not the user.
Where I can find more information?

Hi,
There is a field to know which account is the parent account, but you can't have others informations from the parent account except the name. In the new R16, you have others field called "Parent Account external unique ID" and "Parent Integration ID". What can I do with this field? Is it possible to display the parent account phone field in the report?

Help needed with header and upload onto business catalyst

Can someone help with a problem over a header please?
I have inserted a rectangle with a jpeg image in background, in the 'header' section, underneath the menu. It comes up fine on most pages when previsualised, going right to the side of the screen, but stops just before the edge on certain pages. I have double checked that I have placed it in the right place in relation to the guides on the page.
That's one problem.
The second problem is that I tried to upload onto business catalyst, which got to 60% and refused to go any further, saying it couldn't find the header picture, giving the title and then u4833-3.fr.png. The picture is in the right folder I have double checked. And it isn't a png. Does it have to be ?
And the third problem is that I got an email following my upload from business catalyst in Swedish. I am living in France.

How can I check the preview in other browsers before I publish a provisional site with BC?
The rectangle width issue happens on certain pages but not others. The Welecom page is fine when the menu is active, also the contact page, but others are slightly too narrow. Changing the menu spacing doesn’t help - I was already on uniform but tried changing to regular and back.
In design mode the rectangle is set to the edge of the browser, that’s 100%browser width right?
Re BC I have about 200 images on 24 different pages and it seems to be having difficulty uploading some of them. But it has managed a couple I named with spaces but not others I named with just one name.
Is there an issue on size of pictures ? If I need to replace is there a quick way to rename and relink or do I have to insert the photos all over again?
I’m a novice with Muse with an ambitious site !

Answering the questions :
- Have you checked the preview in Muse and also in other browsers ?
- Does the rectangle width issue happens when menu is active , or in any specific state , Try to change the menu with uniform spacing and then check.
- In design view the rectangle is set to 100% browser width ?
With publishing :
- Please try to rename the image file and then relink
- If it happens with other images as well , see if all the image names includes strange characters or spaces.
- Try again to publish
With e-mail from BC :
- Under preferences , please check the country selected.
- If you have previously created partner account in BC and selected country and language then it would follow that, please check that.

Perhaps the most useful feature of interfaces is that you not
only can define the data type but also method signature of the
class that implements this interface. In other words, interface can
define and enforce what methods class MUST implement. This is very
useful when classes are branching in packages and team of
developers works on a large application among others.
The general syntax for an Interface with method signatures is
written the following way:

Oops! An error again. Interface specified that the function
doesn’t accept any parameters.

Now compiler stops complaining.
But, if we revert the class back to:

compiler starts complaining again because we don’t pass
any parameters into the function.
The point is that interface is sort of a set of rules. In a
simple language, if it is stated:
public class ClassOne implements IQualified
it says: “I, class ClassOne, pledge to abide by all the
rules that IQualified has established and I will not function
correctly if I fail to do so in any way. (IMPORTANT) I can do more,
of course, but NOT LESS.”
Of course the class that implements an interface can have
more that number of methods the corresponding interface requires
– but never less.
MORE means that in addition to any number of functions it can
implement as many interfaces as it is desired.
For instance, I have three interfaces:

Also, the picture of me that was taken when I bought the iMac more than a year ago and appeared at logon recently disappeared and was replaced by a soccer ball. I took a new picture, which appeared for about a week at logon, and it has now been replace by a blank picture.

The standard procedure with these types of isues is a PRAM reset.
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

SCAT is used to upload the data with the transaction.The use of CATT is for bulk uploading of data. Although CATT is primarily a testing tool, it can be used for the mass upload of data. The way CATT works is like a real user actually inputting on the SAP screen.
The over-all procedure to upload data using CATT is as follows:
· Creation of the CATT test case & recording the sample data input.
· Download of the source file template.
· Modification of the source file.
· Upload of the data from the source file.

Release code is a two-character identifier with which a person responsible for processing a document can release/ approve an item of a purchase requisition, a complete purchase requisition, or a complete external purchasing document, or cancel a release.
If a link to SAP Business Workflow has been defined for the release code, the person can refuse to effect release (withhold approval), thus rejecting the item or document.
You can find the relelase codes Using the following path :
Go to Transaction : SPRO and click on SAP Reference IMG and follow the menu :
-> Material Management ->Purchasing->Purchase Requisition->Release Procedure ->Procedure with classification -> Setup procedure with classification

Say, Sales revenue for the year compared to all the previous years...This show what is the trend in the last few years
Management reports high level reports with summarized data which helps in decision making. Say, Vendor performance report...this report shows list of default vendors by ranking them and management can decide to continue or not to continue with certain vendors

The module is not very sophisticated. Profficiency in Java or ABAP will be a great bonus here. There are plenty of good materials regarding XI on SDN. I suggest to start with step-by-step guides and master all basic integration scenarios
