Need review of iLap by Rain Design
I'm looking at finding a functional and cool looking Podium for my new 17" PB - I used it for long times and wish for heat buildup to not pose an issue.
I'm looking at the iLap by Rain Design at http://www.raindesigninc.com/ilap.html
I'm sure some 17" PM users have this and I would appreciate any feedback reviews you, be it +ive or -ive.

I have had my iLap for a couple of weeks now and I love it. I am constantly using my 17" PB in bed or on my couch. I used to have the same problem with it getting real hot on my legs, but with the iLap I never feel any heat at all and my PB seems to run cooler presumingly due to better circulation under the laptop. The look of it is nice and it even has a velvet feeling cusion that is removable on the front if you want to put it on a desk or countertop (although I don't use it for that and there is even a warning about leaving the front cusion off near the end of a desk). The cusion on the back is not removable, but does swivel to compensate for the surface it is on. I have been very happy with and use it everyday while at home. I don't take it with me because it doesn't seem very easy to take it on the road, although it wouldn't be hard to throw it in a suitcase or seperate bag. It simply won't fit in my Brenthaven 17 Pro bag.

Rain Design iLap 15W - will it fit the MBP?
Anybody out there have a Rain Design iLap 15w? Does it fit your MBP comfortably? Rain Design claims that the 15w model fits the MBP.
I purchased one in anticipation of my MBP arriving, and now I'm concerned that the MBP will be slightly too big. Perhaps the rubber feet of the MBP will be sitting right at/on/beyond the edge and a little slip would cause aluminum-on-aluminum gouging. Ouch!

(I realize this doesn't really answer your question, but I thought I'd post what Rain Design had to say. In my original email, I had asked if they are going to make an iLap model specifically for the MBP.) -

The class has a no-args constructor at least. The useBean tag will work with it. Probably.
But still, some code just can't be translated into scriptless JSTL.
Calling methods which take parameters is one of those things.
In this case you probably want to write a custom tag to work with your tabs
I would probably look at using custom tags like this:

I have an apple developer account to make a new app, but I need to give access to the designer without sharing my payment info or allowing him to have access to my icloud, apps or itunes account. There is some way to have another password?
The designer is usually someone who just handles the user interface portion of the code. The developer would handle core functionality. I assumed you were the developer and the designer was the designer. You are the client and your "designer" is the developer.
Ideally, you should create a business account so that you can add someone to your team. That is the way it is supposed to work. Otherwise, you will have to ask for the final source code so that you can build and submit the app yourself. You should always have the source code regardless. You should always perform the submission under your own account too. Otherwise, it is the developer's app, not yours.
Sharing accounts is against the Apple Developer agreement anyway. The App Store Gold Rush is over. Now it is mostly zombie apps and competing fraudsters. You don't want to give someone access to your iTunes account. You really don't want to give someone access to your bank account either.
The best solution would be to convert your account to a business account. You may be able to have the developer submit the app and then transfer it to you. -

Any of the above technologies will do it. You could also use
a Java
applet or even a .NET solution of some kind, so the choice
you take will
depend largely on what platform you want to support and code
for. This sort
of project will require significant amounts of custom
programming. My
personal approach would be to use Flash, mainly because of
the popularity of
the plugin. The Shockwave example looks beautiful, and I
started out years
ago using Director, but fewer people nowadays have the
Shockwave plugin
installed. It doesn't look like any of the sites shown use 3D
modeling,
which is the only relevant feature that Shockwave has over
the other
approaches. JavaScript (probably some Ajax approach) would
work -- as
seen -- but then you're dealing with compatibility issues
among various
JavaScript implementations in the great variety of browsers
out there.
Flash minimizes that, in my opinion.
All you really "need" to produce what you've seen is Flash
and some sort
of database back end (MySQL, say), which means you'll need a
bit of
middleware (PHP, ASP, Cold Fusion, etc.) to act as your
ambassador between
Flash and the database.

I've one list "Purchase Order" where I'm storing the data for purchase order details below are

List Name = Purchase Order
Order No, Order Date, Part No, Part Qty, Delivery Date, Delivery Qty, Balance Qty.
Now in above list I'm storing the Purchase order details to check Order Qty and Balance Qty for every part
no and this list is working fine.
Now my requirement is to create one more list to issue the Part No from available Balance Qty in above List "Purchase Order".
So I thought to create new list with below details (Please suggest me if you have other idea also I can use
only SharePoint OutofBox feature or SharePoint Designer 2013):-
List Name = "Issue Order"
Issue No, Part No, Balance Qty, Issue Qty, Issue Date, Remaining Balance Qty OR Stock Qty
So in List Name "Issue Order" once user will select "Part No" the "Balance Qty" will show the available Qty (from Purchase Order
List). And once he enter Qty in "Issue Qty" column it will show the remaining Qty in "Remaining Balance Qty OR Stock Qty" column.
Also "Remaining Balance Qty OR Stock Qty" will get update in "Balance Qty" column in first list "Purchase Order" list so next time
when user will issue the Qty from "Issue Order" he will get the correct Qty for Part No.

For the Point# 1, per my understanding, there are two columns in the list2, both columns are getting values from list1. In List2, when user select a value for the
“Part No”, you want the “Balance Qty” column to be populated automatically.
As there is no such OOTB feature can meet this requirement, custom code using JavaScript would be required.

Need Suggestion for the Recurrence appointment design
Hello All,
We are planning to design a feature where doctor can create appointment with the patients on the recurrence basis like Daily, Weekly,yearly etc.
Following features also needs to be present
1. User can edit the recurrence appointment and that changes must apply to all
2. user can go and change the details for the single appointment
We had a discussion for this and identified the below schema to store the details..
TABLE Appointment

IsRecurrence,

So the logic is for each recurrence we will create a entry in table recurrence and will store the details accordingly

Basically it simply takes the appointment info, throws into a temp table, creates a schedule based on that info, validates the schedule based on existing schedules to avoid conflicts.
If there is a conflict you get a warning. If not the appointment gets added along with the schedule.
Once the schedule is created it's a simple matter to go in and manually edit individual occurrences.
If you want to change and entire series, simply delete everything WHERE AppointmentID = ??? AND BegDateTime > CURRENT_TIMESTAMP and create a new appointment.

Need Help with Creative Suite 6 Design Standard.
I was working with a tech named Ashok Kumar Mohanty. I was sharing my screen with him and trying to install Creative Suite 6 Design Standard. We lost each other. He had me set up a new administer account but I can't get online with it because it has no browser and I don't know how to get one.
My installation keeps freezing at the AdobeHelp portion of the installation. The time remaining continues to climb but the installation freezes at 19%. I have been trying to resolve this for 2 weeks. I tried to download a trial version online and finally bought one but both programs keep freezing in the same place. I am downloading from a disc.because it has no browser and I don't know how to get one.
IE is available to all users by default on Windows, Safari on Mac, and Firefox, Opera and Chrome are avialable as free downloads. The rest is far too vague. You are not providing any system information or other details. As a start, simply run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and try again. For anything else we realyl need much more information and possibly the install logs.

the most common problem is failing to meticulously follow directions 1,2 and/or 3 which are needed to add an adobe.com cookie to your computer that allows you to download directly without using the akamai download manager.

Thanks.No, I am saying the three programs that you want to use in the suite, if you are planning on using all three programs (at the same time) then it is possible your system could slow down, then a RAM upgrade will help. Give it a try it may work out okay.
Yes, I know how to backup separate things on to another external hard drive. Just connect the hard drive make sure it is formatted for use as a Mac hard drive. Open disk utility and click on the hard drive at the bottom of the window it will show you the partition map scheme, it should be GUID Partition Table. If not then you should format the hard drive but clicking the erase tab and the selecting Mac OS Extended (journaled) from the format drop down box. If you are going to use the drive to transfer files from Mac to PC then you should select MS-DOS (FAT) the only problem with this format you will not be able to copy file larger then 4GB. Then just open the find and drag and drop folders and files to the external hard drive. -
