Need Script to split multi-paged ID file into multiple single paged ID files

I have created a 366 page document (and have 2 more to create). None of the text threads from page to page, and there are no master page items. Each page is destined to be used as a single block that will be copied and pasted into a master document by a database driven plugin (and for color editing reasons it needs to be separate .indd files). For expediency, I created these as a single document because I could import the text with ID style tags to pre-format the text (with all text blocks threaded). I then broke all the text threads using API's Auto Unstich plugin. We then manually tweaked the text of each page.
Gluon once sold a plugin called DocSplitter, but it has not been updated since CS1 and does not work with CS4.
Before you ask why I don't have the database plugin create multiple single page docs — the plugin doesn't currently save to individual ID docs (yet - feature to be released in 3 months).
I know that scripting could possibly do what I need, but I have little to no experience with AppleScript (7 years ago) and none with Javascript. Would love to find a pre-packaged solution and am willing to pay someone for it.
To guess there are two ways a script could work:
1) script breaks the doc into single pages (not sure how that would work really) but the files would be named based on page number — i.e filename-01.indd, filename-02.indd, etc.
2) script selects all objects on a page, groups the objects, copies the objects, creates a new page, pastes the objects and then saves the file in the same manner as number 1 above - loop and repeat for al the pages.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks
Roger

    The link I was given was a dead link. I noted it in my post, so I am hoping the person that posted it will repost a
    new link. If I get it I will repost it here as well.
    I should add that the Badia Software EportTools demo is excellent. I will be buying it. It allows you to export individual PDF, EPS, PS, JPG, Text, INX and INDD files from any multipaged Indd file. It also allows for comprehensive file renaiming similar to Adobe Bridge, it even has a few twists that bridge might not have. The demo is fully operational for 30 days with no limitations except for a slightly annoying reminder. You can also export in text mode with Indd text tags attached.

  • Split TempDB Data file into multiple files

    Hey ,
    I have been seeing TempDB contention in memory on our SQL server 2012 Enterprise Edition with SP2 and I need to split TempDB Data file into multiple files .
    Could someone please help me to verify the following information:
    1]
    We are on SQL server 2012 Enterprise Edition with service pack2 but as per SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition under CAL Licensing –We are limited to use 20 logical processors instead 40 logical processors. Our SQL is configured
    on NUMA nodes and with the limitation SQL uses only 2 NUMA nodes on live .There are 10 logical CPUs are evenly assigned to each NUMA nodes. Microsoft recommends that if SQL server configured on NUMA node and we have 2 NUMA nodes, then we may add two data files
    at a time. Please let me know should I add two TempDB data file at a time?
    2] We have TempDB Data and log files both on the same Drive of SQL server  .When I split TempDB into two Data files, I can get them on the same Drive .What your recommendation should I need to create TempDB Data files on the same drive or on separate
    disks?
    3] What would be the blackout plan for splitting the tempdb into multiple files? Please let me know if someone has a better back out plan ?
                1] Run script that create tempdb Database with a single file
    2] Reboot SQL service in order to apply change
    Your help will be apprecited .

  • Adapter file sender doesn't split file into multiple message

    Hi everybody.
    We are in PI 7.0 SP10.
    In adapter file sender, I want to split a file into multiple file.
    We use protocole "file content conversion"
    in the field "recordset per message", I put the value 10 to test.
    The file content 30 records .
    The result we have is the treatment is not split into multiple message .
    The treatment is made but with one message.
    I need  to treat big files.
    Is there some one who have an idea  why t doesn't work ?
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
    have you specified recordset name......if not, then specify it.............
    in recordset structure, specify like RECORD,1 and not RECORD,*
    again test your scenario......if still your file data is not getting split, then ask your basis guys to do a full CPACache refresh using PIDIRUSER..........your basis guys will know how to do it..........then again test your scneario............

  • Combine multiple CSV files into a single multi-column CSV file

    Hey Scripting Guy!
    I have what is probably a simple issue, but I haven't been able to find the right answer.
    I have 18 CSV files that each contain the same header and a single value as shown below:
    "Sum"
    "90"
    These files are the results of SMTP traffic by domain.
    All I want to do is to combine the 18 CSV files into a single file with the content of each file in a separate column, using the file name as the column header.
    For example:
    file1.csv
      "Sum"
      "90"
    file2.csv
      "Sum"
      "325"
    file2.csv
      "Sum"
      "3534"
    The desired ouput is:
    "file1.csv","file2.csv","file3.csv"
    "Sum","Sum","Sum"
    "90","325","3534"
    I don't need to row of Sum's if it is easy to leave out.  It would be even better if this could be put into an Excel spreadsheet.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Split file into multiple Instance of an IDoc .

    My file (only one file) in the file system contains multiple entities(lets say sales order). Now using File adapter I want to transfer this file into XI and want XI to create multiple instance of an IDoc(for each sales order) and send them to the target system one by one.
    Alternatively can I split the file into multiple entities(sales order) in the file adapter (using dispatcher for e.g) and send multiple message to the configured XI automatically.
    Is any of the alternative possible in XI20.
    Any responce would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Bikky.

    Hi,
    You can get the file adapter to split the file without the need for a dispatcher user exit.  The config goes a little like this:
    mode=FILE2XMBWITHSTRUCTURECONVERSION
    xml.recordsetStructure=SALES_ORDER,1
    xml.recordsetsPerMessage=1
    This last parameter ensures each sales order is posted to the integration engine as a separate message.  Therefore a separate Idoc is created for each.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to split large video files into multiple individual clips by date

    Hello. I'm looking for a freeware/shareware program (if one exists, or willing to pay for one if it does this well) that will:
    1) Analyze a large AVI file identifying the start/start points of each segment of video and the dates the video segments were shot.
    2) Then allow me to organize (for example, join 2 or more segments together if it's a video with a lot of start/stop points during the same shot) the segments identified in step 1 into logical clips that could be split apart from the 1 large AVI file.
    3) Lastly, it would split my one large AVI file into the multiple clips or files that I identified in step 2.
    A piece of software called FootTrack does a great job analyzing AVI files as I describe in steps 1 & 2, but it doesn't allow you to split or export the one avi file into multiple avi files.
    I really don't want to have to do this one clip at a time, I've got to believe there's a program out there that will automate this process for me.
    Thanks

    I don't know of a way to automate it. I just did about 15 years worth. It wasn't too hard. I use an application called mpegstreamclip. Its very easy and free to download either from the apple site or direct from its site.

    Bascically you set the in and out points with the i and o keys and export.

  • Open the "Merge Files into a Single PDF" utility via script or exe?

    Greetings:
    I'm trying to find a method to open the Merge Files into a Single PDF utilty without opening Acrobat first.  Does anyone have some example code on how to open this dialog window?  It doesn't matter what language it is in, I can do the legwork to translate it to something I can understand.
    Ideally, I'd like to open the combine/merge window through an EXE or VBScript and pass it a handful of filenames that would appear in the programs list to process.
    Any help would be *GREATLY* appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    As far as I am aware it is not possible to pass a list of files to this dialog using any API in Acrobat.
    You could however create your own VB .net application that has a mutli file select dialog box and the use the JSObject to merge all those files and open the resultant file in Acrobat.
    There are samples in the Acrobat SDK that show how to use the JSObject and the JavaScript function you could use to perform the merge are in the SDK documentation, I would start with investigating "insertPages".
    Please note that using the Acrobat SDK requires the Acrobat program to be installed and it will also need to be running in order to convert the files.
    Hope this helps

  • HT201066 How can I split a long recording audio file into multiple audio files?

    Hi,
    How can I split a long recording audio file into multiple audio files?
    With Windows I was using Nero software, which is not available for Mac. Is there any similar app for free for Mac?
    Thanks!

    Hello ingiorgio
    You can import the track into GarageBand and then split the tracks there. Once that it is done you can highlight the ruler section and then share the song to iTunes to get them separated out.

  • How to convert a multi page PDF document into a single TIF file?

    Hi!
    We are trying to convert a multi page PDF document into a single TIF file. We are using Adobe Acrobat Standard v 9. Can it be possible?

    I am also looking for feedback.  Although having a PDF copy of a document is wonderful, long term and efficient archival for my workplace is tif or tiff.
    Very frustrating that the PDF to tiff creates a separate tiff file for each page of the multi-page PDF document.  Are there any options or work-arounds?

  • Split MP3 file into multiple MP3 files

    I've been through the help section and is till cant seem to figure out how to split a large (2 hour) mp3 file into multiple mp3 files.
    I have a 2 hour MP3 recording (Stereo not mono), and I have added markers (by simply pressing keyboard shortcut 'M' to add marker), but now I would like to know how to split that one mp3 files into multiple files from the markers which I have made...
    All my marker types are "Cue" when i pressed 'M' at the locations I want the track to end/start

    You didn't say which version of the program you're using, but in general, there is a way to do this by adding one additional cue at the very end of the file, then "merging" the cues (which converts the space between each cue into a "range"), and batch processing each range out to a separate file.  (Make sure there's a cue at the beginning of the file, or at least the first material you want in a new file.)
    Now that you've done all that work, I'm going to tell you that what you're doing is probably a bad idea.  Opening any mp3 in Audition and resaving back to mp3 means you've doubled the losses and distortion inherent with the mp3 compression.  Audition can't do lossless editing of mp3s.  The bottom line: are you really splitting the file, and does the result have to be mp3 format?  If saving to a (wave file, or any other lossless format, then what I'm saying doesn't matter.
    In any case, "mp3 Direct Cut" is a terrific freeware program that does lossless mp3 editing, and I'd highly recommend you try it.  It's saved my neck a number of times.  See http://www.mpesch3.de.

    Hi,
    extract your xml and then you can use insert all clause.
    here's very small example on 10.2.0.1.0
    SQL> create table table1(id number,val varchar2(10));
    Table created.
    SQL> create table table2(id number,val varchar2(10));
    Table created.
    SQL> insert all
      2  into table1 values(id,val)
      3  into table2 values(id2,val2)
      4  select extractValue(x.col,'/a/id1') id
      5        ,extractValue(x.col,'/a/value') val
      6        ,extractValue(x.col,'/a/value2') val2
      7        ,extractValue(x.col,'/a/id2') id2
      8  from (select xmltype('<a><id1>1</id1><value>a</value><id2>2</id2><value2>b</value2></a>') col from dual) x;
    2 rows created.
    SQL> select * from table1;
