Need SP to prompt user before ADDING document on hitting Return Key

Our client is moving from legacy system to SAP B1. Legacy system has extensive use of hitting ENTER Key (or return key).
Client is concerned that users will habitually hit enter key and cause accidental creation of documents.
Would someone be able to provide me with a store procedure that pop up  a message on documents such as Sales, Purchase, Delivery and GRPO on hitting ENTER key  - a message for example "Hit Enter Key again to Confirm".
Thank you community!

SP_TN is the only legitimate SP can be used in B1. This SP can only block document creation.
System has built-in function to display confirmation messages. You have to click twice enter (return) key to add a document. Train users to check every message before they try to hit second enter key. They will use to new system soon.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Is there a way to ALWAYS prompt user before allowing server restart or shutdown

    Is there a way to always prompt the user for credentials (or some other type of prompt) before restarting/shutting down a Windows Server? We are looking for a way to prevent accidentally shutting down a server.  I know there is the Shutdown Event Tracker
    that prompts for a reason why the server is being restarted, which is good, but the problem we ran into was after one of our Admins installed some software / Windows Updates, he was prompted with a "The server will need to be rebooted before the changes
    will be applied. Do you want to restart now?" dialog, and he accidentally hit Yes.  When doing this, the Shutdown Event Tracker does not prompt the user (I assume the Windows Update automatically fills in all the fields), it just restarts the server.
    So we are looking for a prompt for these scenarios as well.
    So basically I'm wondering if there is a way to configure Windows Server to ALWAYS prompt the user before any shutdown or restart event, whether it is from a Windows Update, using the GUI Shutdown buttons, or the commands from a command prompt.  Ideally
    it would be a credentials prompt, to ensure the user is really being purposeful about restarting the server, and not just quickly clicking a button before thinking about what the prompt is asking for.
    - Dan - "Can't never could do anything"

    Hi, I would add to Ed that it can cause problem too with scripted task, as if you program in example a planned restart in the night in example, that mean someone must be there to click the button.
    The best approch for you would be to give them the RSAT administration kit, so then can manage what they want without being logged on.

  • Prompt user before exiting

    Hello,
    I'm trying to add Javascript in order to have a prompt appear once a user clicks an Exit button to confirm their choice to exit the CBT.  I added a button to Captivate that successfully calls the closeBrWindow() function (see code below); however, I receive an 'Access is Denied' error message once the 'continuebox' function is added.  This CBT is running on the Adobe Connect server when I receive the error message.
    Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?  Is there a better way to prompt a user when clicking an Exit button?
    function closeBrWindow()
    var ie7 = (document.all && !window.opera && window.XMLHttpRequest) ? true : false;
    var continuebox=confirm("Click OK to exit the CBT, or Cancel to return to the CBT.");
    if (continuebox==true)
    if (ie7)
    //This method is required to close a window without any prompt for IE7
    window.open('','_parent','');
    top.window.close();
    else
    //This method is required to close a window without any prompt for IE6
    this.focus();
    self.opener = this;
    self.close();

    Hi there
    Because closing the window using JavaScript is so utterly unreliable and simply doesn't work in all cases...
    I'd do it like this.
    Insert a slide at the end of the movie.
    Time that slide very brief. Perhaps .1 seconds.
    Configure the movie to close when it completes play. (Edit > Preferences > Project > Start and End)
    Insert two buttons on the slide before the last slide. One will be labeled Yes and one will be labeled No.
    Insert a Text Caption on the slide asking the user if they wish to exit.
    Program the Yes button to Go to the Next Slide. Program the No button to visit a different slide.
    Insert buttons on other slides that are labeled Exit and are configured to jump to the slide where the user chooses.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Simple problem with popup message before adding document on system form

    Hi all,
    We have an AddOn that validates price lines on system Sales Order form matrix, so that if prices fall below a certain value, a popup is show to ask to continue or not, when user presses ADD button.
    The problem is that if he chooses yes (to continue), the Sales Order is not added since the button ADD keeps being selected ....
    Here is my code:
            [B1Listener(BoEventTypes.et_CLICK, true)]
            public virtual bool OnBeforeClick(ItemEvent pVal)
                int iResult = B1Connections.theAppl.MessageBox("Price lines fall bellow minimum! Continue?", 1, "NO", "YES", "");
                if (iResult == 1) // NO
                    // Show error
                    B1Connections.theAppl.StatusBar.SetText("OK", SAPbouiCOM.BoMessageTime.bmt_Short, SAPbouiCOM.BoStatusBarMessageType.smt_Error);
                    return false;
                // YES: Continue to add Sales Order
                return true;
    The problem is somehow related with the popup message being shown: if user says YES to continue, the system form does not continue with the standard process of adding the Sales Order (when I move the cursor above the ADD button is shows it already pressed...).
    Do I have to do anything more to force the process to continue, when the user says YES?
    Regards,
    Manuel Dias

    Thtas known problem. The solution for this is declare global variable as boolean, when user selects Yes, then set this variable to true and emulate click to add button again where before the message box check if its varaible sets to true - in this case dont show message box, only set variable to false.
    The concept of code will be
    dim continue as boolean = false
    in item event
    if continue = false then
        x = messagebox...
      if x = 1 then
        continue = true
         items.item("1").click
    end if
    else
    continue = false
    end if

  • BADI, User Exit before FI document is posted during GR posting in MIGO

    Hi Gurus,
    In transaction MIGO, whenever a goods receipt is posted, a corresponding FI document is then created. I am in need of a BADI, User Exit, or other forms of enhancements that is triggered before this FI document gets posted because I have to edit data in the header (BKPF) and detail (BSEG) part, specifically the fields BKPF-XREF1_HD (Reference key 1) and (BSEG-ZUONR) (Assignment).
    The field XREF1_HD is to be populated with the vendor number from MIGO (GOHEAD-LIFNR)
    The field ZUONR is to be populated with the PO Number from MIGO (GOITEM-EBELN)
    Regards to all,
    Joseph

    Hi,
    I am on 4.6C.
    We are using EXIT_SAPLF048_001 of enhancement F180A001 for the same.
    Please note that control comes here for no of SAP transactions, hence you need to take care of it by executing your logic only for a particular SAP transaction.
    I hope this helps,

  • User Exit/BADI/Enhancement Point  in VF01 before new document no assignment

    Hi Expert,
       I am looking for a user exit/BADI/Enhancement point which will trigger in VF01 before the new document no (Billing document no assign).
    I need to cross check few things in Billing via VF01 at billing document save and give error message accordingly. The problem is if new number assign and there is error due to my code then when user save the document next he get a new no. its mean a no skip.
    Example: The invoice no is 1000. User start creating a billing document with Vf01 and he get an error message due to my code at exit , at this point of time the next number assign to billing which is 1001 but document not save due to my error message. Now after applying correction user save data and billing document created with no 1002. So there is no skip.
    I tried BADI BADI_SD_ACCOUNTING but this will trigger after no assignment.  Can someone provide me a user exit/BADI/Enhancement point in VF01 which trigger before no range assignment and contain at least Billing header data to use in my code?

    HI Brad and team,
       BRED is right. I check few user exit normally all of us have that list or easily available on net.
    BRED: my question is: I need to check the billing date VBRK-FKDAT of document should not be less than the sales order plan billing date VBAP-Oldate.
    If this check fail then won't allow the user to create billing document. The problem is I used one user exit SDVFX001 already define previously that's work fine but issue is that user exit trigger after the billing no assignment. That's why when user get that error message he correct the document and create billing this time he get a new number which is skip of one no.
    That why I need a User Exit/BADI/Enhancement Point  which trigger at save but before document no assignment.
    Please update more about your comment "Why not use a header level copy requirement routine to perform the checks and log the messages? This is the standard process."  .
    Suggest user exit USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP  trigger before save. I need at save the reason is VBRK-FKDAT  this can be change.
    Feel free to contact me back if you need more clarification.

  • Be careful of "Prompt user to change password before expiration" policy -- it's counting the days wrong!!

    After several tests, I'm pretty sure that the policy "Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration" is counting the wrong days. (Note: this policy is in Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security
    Options)  So I think I should post this in the forum in the hope that it could be helpful to others in the same case as me, esp if the policy is pushed out as a domain-wide policy.
    First, the context of the test, ie domain-wide policy settings:
    1. Password minimum age = 2 days
    2. Password maximum age = 4 days
    3. Prompt user to change password before expiration = 2 days
    If everything is going fine, users will be asked to change password when it is changeable (ie it has reached the minimum age).  However, it turns out that users are prompted BEFORE they can change password.  Look at the image below that I got in
    Win7:
    (In WinXP, we have similar prompt when user has just logged in)
    Look at the clock: it's 13:16 (04/12/2013).  Then look at the DOS window in which I ran the "net user /domain" command and read the line "Password expires": it's shown
    06/12/2013 18:09:04.
    A little math would tell me that if users are prompted to change password *2 days* before expiration, the dialog will appear
    ONLY AFTER 04/12/2013 18:09:04.  But since the prompt is shown at 13:16 (ie well before 18:09), that mean the "prompt user...." policy makes mistakes in calculating the moment to show the prompt.
    In other words, if we have the policy set like this:
         Prompt user to change password before expiration =
    N days
    The prompt will actually appear from N+1 days before expiration.
    I would consider this as a bug, but I also suppose it's hard to make Microsoft fix it.  So that's why I make this post to warn others.  In my case, I have received several calls from users complaining that they were prompted to change password
    but their new passwords were always refused and they had no idea what went wrong.  And it took me a lot of effort to sort out what really went wrong.  And in order to work around this stupid bug, I have to change the "Prompt user...." policy
    to N-1 days (before expiration) instead of N days previously.
    Hope this help

    Hi,
    Based on my research, you are right that the prompt policy is implemented by date, which is by design.
    “Set
    Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration to 5 days. When their password expiration
    date is 5 or fewer days away, users will see a dialog box each time they log on to the domain”, I quoted this sentence from the article below:
    Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj852243.aspx
    The problem is consistency!  For Minimum/Maximum password age properties, they are also defined for
    days as well.  But for them, days are exact days, ie a
    multiple of exactly 24 hours.  There is an "Explain" tab for every parameter, but even if you read them through, you can't tell if day means strict multiple of 24 hours or loose definition of days.  I'll leave the exercise to you to read
    them if you like and spare me the article from your KB library.
    As for the password minimum age part, what I mean is that is why users can’t not change their password within 2 days when the prompt appears before the changeable time.
    Anyway, I agree with you that we need to be careful when we configure the password policy because the Prompt policy is not doing calculation by hours.
    Miss, the 2 days is just a TEST EXAMPLE.  Let's say it's
    N days if you was unable to understand.  I wouldn't change N days to N-1 days because of this stupid GUI bug.  As I said earlier and let me repeat it once more,
    Minimum password age = N days is a security policy and it is more important than the user prompt and no security officer with sane mind will change this.

  • Prompt user to save change before abnormally closing the application

    Hi,
    I've some trouble prompting user to save change before abnormally closing the application (logging off, shutdownding machine...). I tried to use Runtime.getRuntime().addShutdownHook() and it doesn't seem to work. Here's part of my code. Help please!!!

    configuration before exit?",
    "Save Config"
    JOptionPane.
    YES_NO_CANCEL_OPTION);
    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(this, "Can't connect to unit. Error in Heal unit!", "Error", JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE);
    System.out.println("2 ");
    if (answer == 0) {
    savefileButton_actionPerformed();
    jMenuFileExit_actionPerformed();
    else if (answer == 1) {
    jMenuFileExit_actionPerformed();
    else {
    return;
    else {
    int answer = JOptionPane.showConfirmDialog(itself,
    "Are you sure you want to exit? ",
    "Exit",
    JOptionPane.YES_NO_OPTION);
    if (answer == 0) {
    jMenuFileExit_actionPerformed();
    else {
    return;
    private class MyShutdownHook extends Thread {
    public void run() {
    shutdown();
    // add shutdown hook
    MyShutdownHook shutdownHook = new MyShutdownHook();
    Runtime.getRuntime().addShutdownHook(shutdownHook);

    doesn't much matter. shutdown hooks are not guaranteed to run or be able to finish.

  • Need to restrict users from adding or modifying folders or reports

    Requirement: Need to restrict users from adding or modifying folders or reports through Info view and to reflect the modifications only thriough LCM.
    Issue: Customer wants to restrict users from adding or modifying existing reports from Infoview and need to force users to do make the changes through Life cycle manager tool.
    As per my understanding LCM can only be used to to promote folders and objects from one environment to another and to schedule the promotion of these jobs on a daily basis.My query is:
    Can we add or modify existing reports or folders using the LCM tool?
    Could you please help me out in this issue and provide me your suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.
    Prashanthi Rayaprolu.

    You can not restrict that using LCM. Need to modify the rights at the folder level.
    Explicitly remove the following rights for the user group,
    Add objects to the folder
    Edit objects
    Delete objects
    Copy objects to another folder (check this if required)
    Once the above four are denied then users wont be able to Edit/Add/Delete reports in that folder.

  • RSOP: Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration

    Hi,
    I am trying to implement a GPO so that users are prompted to change their password 5 days before it expires. I have done this via -
    Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > Enabled
    Interactive Logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration
    Despite doing the above the GPO does not seem to be taking effect. I have run RSOP on my machine and a few users machines and can see that there is a red circle with an X next to
    Interactive Logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration.
    Below is my winlogon.log file but I am not really sure what I am supposed to be looking for. Can anyone help?

    ******UPDATE******
    I think I have managed to get this working. I changed the source of the policy to a different GPO. I then did the following -
    From a command prompt run gpupdate (without the force parameter)
    Ran rsop.msc and checked the policy and this time there was no red circle with an X
    Have done the same on a few users machines and it appears to apply successfully. I say this because when you go into the properties for the policy you see the following -
    The policy XYZ was correctly applied
    Just have to wait and see if it actually does what it says on the can.

    1. The library will remain as is. Back it up anyway.
    2. Authorize that computer individually before connecting the iPod touch to it.

  • EditForm.aspx Save button prompts user to open/save document.

    Hi,
    Here is the senerion where i am working on.I am saving a document to a sharepoint 2010 document library from an windows user control and soon after saving i am redirecting that saved document to editform.aspx  so that metadata can be applied
    to that document.But when i am trying to save the document form editform.aspx it is prompting to open/save the document to the hard disk.
    so my question is how can i override the save functionality in editform.aspx of an sharepoint document library so that it should't prompt to  open/save document.

    I know this is very old and I had a similar issue with creating an upload button for a client.
    <div class="ms-uploadbtnlink">
    <button onclick="javascript:window.location='http://adventureworks.com/_layouts/Upload.aspx?List={05D72EF7-0026-48C2-BE40-464B7F30CA21}&RootFolder='" type="button">
    <nobr>
    <img alt="Upload a Document" src="/_layouts/Images/uploaddoc.png"/>
    <span>Upload a Document</span>
    </nobr>
    </button>
    </div>
    I tried everything listed here and nothing worked. Opening the upload form in a dialogue solved my issue.
    Here's the updated code:
    <div class="ms-uploadbtnlink">
    <button type="button" id='upload-vendor-doc'>
    <nobr>
    <img alt="Upload a Document" src="/_layouts/Images/uploaddoc.png"/>
    <span>Upload a Document</span>
    </nobr>
    </button>
    </div>
    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    function openModalDialog(modalUrl, width, height) {
    var options = SP.UI.$create_DialogOptions();
    options.height = parseInt(height);
    options.width = parseInt(width);
    options.url = modalUrl;
    SP.UI.ModalDialog.showModalDialog(options);
    var URL = "http://adventureworks.com/accounting/VI/_layouts/Upload.aspx?List={05D72EF7-0026-48C2-BE40-464B7F30CA21}&RootFolder=";
    document.getElementById("upload-vendor-doc").onclick = function() {
    openModalDialog(URL, 800, 1000);
    </script>
    Hope that helps someone.
