Need to Achieve Grand Total in the Data Template

Hi Team
As per the requirements i need to achieve the grand total form the various level of Total. To achieve the Total i have used the SUM function and it works fine. Could you please suggest me how can i achieve the Grand Total. For your reference i am attaching the data template here that i am using.

I need SUM_UNITS_APPTD, SUM_UNIT_QTY1 and SUM_UNIT_QTY2 of 3 different group to be added to generate the Grand Total. PLEASE ADVISE

I am not much aware of the XDO. Could you please let me know can i pass the field name in place of 2 and 3 as in your example.
For example if i have field A and B and i need to add it then should it be
<?xdofx:A+B?> in RTF.
Else please give me the complete syntax.

for calculating total to the specific field.....
while creating the fieldcatalog pass the value 'X' to field do_sum of lvc_t_fcat( field catalog).
data: fcat type lvc_t_fcat.
fcat-fieldname = <field-name>.
fcat-ref_table = <ref-tablename>.
fcat-ref_field = <ref-fieldname>.
fcat-do_sum = 'X'.

How to display subtotals in every page and the grand total in the last page

Hello Abapers,
I am working with Smartforms. I am not able to print the subtotal in every page ie the Price for that particular page alone should be summed and in the final page I want the grand total also to be displayed. I tried the Total option in the Calculations tab but the value is just getting incremented on every page..How can I achieve this..

Declare two different variables for subtotal and total
Use them in the calculation tab of the table node.
After displaying the subtotal create a program lines node to clear the value of the subtotal. And dont forget to mention the condition in the condition tab of the text node of your subtotal as only before end of main window.
display the grand total in the text another text node with condition... only after end of main window.

Say I'm created a multiple page estimate report. As all the labor and material costs are being created and added up.
Is it possible to put that Grand Total on the first page?
Can you process the report first to get the numbers then print the report? I guess this is what would need to happen.

If you summarize a field (not a running total) then you should be able to create the summary field and move it to the Report Header without any problems. This cannot be done if you use running totals for obvious reasons.

(Smartform) Print grand total on the last page

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to print the Grand Totals on the last page of my Smartform. I have two pages - FIRST and SECOND.
What I did was I created a Text to display the grand total, and I specified that this text should be printed 'Only After End of Main Window'. However, the total is not being printed out.
I can't change the condition to 'Not on First Page', because my form has more than two pages, and I only want the grand totals on the last page.
Any help would be appreciated.

we have a window type called final window if u define this type window in second page . create a table in the window and go to calculations tab and define an internal table. i think u can get the grand totals.

I need to be able to export the data from health kit and read it in something. Anything.

I've tried pretty much everything from Excel to downloaded and online apps. I'm done downloading crap to my brand new computer. My problem is that I need to be able to export the data into a readable format so that I can give it to my dr(s). Is there ANY WAY that this is possible? I'm kind of at my wits end here. All help/suggestions are appreciated.
What I've done:
1. Exported data. It creates an xml file that can be opened in excel but gives raw data that no one but egghead developers can read (and I use that term in the best possible way.)
2. Tried to download an excel add on. Didn't work.
3. Tried several online applications. Same result as Excel.
Somehow this data has to be able to be read by someone other than myself, on my phone.
Thanks to one and all for the many, many suggestions that I'm about to get.

The only way out of Premiere Elements 11 is via export in video format (except for jpegs or audio under Publish+Share/Computer/Image or audio).
The video is whole, not in a project file (project.prel).
And, the Premiere Elements 11 project.prel does not appear to be an After Effects supported project format

Using Variable in the Data Template

Hi All,
I am on BIP 10.1.3.4.1 and DB is SQL Server. My Data Model is a Data Template wherein I have written multiple SQL Statements. I want to use a variable in my Data Template, assign it a value and use that variable to limit one of the SQL statements in the where clause like
declare @cnt int;
set @cnt = select count(asset_id) from asset
How do I use in the data template. I tried using it in a separate SQL statement but it throws me an error when i run the report like
"Need to declare the scalar variable '@cnt'
Can we have a variable section like parameter section we have in the data template to declare the parameters?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

How to enable the "update file" button to update the data template

We have an escalated customer bug that the chinese character does not display correctly on report. We want to update the data template xml file on customer site to test the fix. However, when the customer login using "XML publisher Administrator" responsitility, select function "Data Definitions", search and then update the definition, on the update page, the button "update file" next to "Data Template" is disabled. Anyone know how to enable the button?

Unless until it is a Manual Journal, SLA page doesn't give you the provision to change them.
Even for Manual Journal, it won't allow you to change, if that is transferred to GL.
Only option is to UNDO the accounting and correct the setup to create correct journals. You may contact Oracle Support.

Does Less Than ( ) operator works in the data template SQL within CDATA ??

All,
I am trying to use <= operator (<= sysdate) in the data template sql query and it's throwing Java exceptions.
I have CDATA around my sql and XML parser should ignore '<' symbol. Query works fine if I use 'ampersandlt;=' operator. Here is my query
<sqlStatement name="Q_1" dataSourceRef="">
<![CDATA[select * from table where date_column <= sysdate]]>
</sqlStatement>
Just want to know if this is a bug.

Problem was solved. Use 'ampersandlt;' where ampersand is '&' for less than

Try this..
select * from table where date_column <= sysdate

Calling a package function in the data template

Hello All,
I am not able to understand the concept of calling a function from the data template.
In my data template, I put the sql statement as

</sqlStatement>
Is it possible to call a specific package function as shown above in a select statement?
I am getting the message "ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended" when I tried with the above. Could you pls. point out what the error is in the above sqlStatement?
1) My instance is R12.1.3
2) The base pkg function 'xla_tb_ap_report_pvt.get_period_name' expects a number to be passed in as 'IN' parameter.

I tried another version of the sql statement (after going through some older posts) like:

Adding a grand total to the columns

Hi
I need to add a total to one of the columns in my report. I have set Aggregation rule as "Sum" but it is not displaying Grand Total.
Am I missing any thing or setting the rule incorrectly?

Thanks for your response. I am not using a pivot table I just tried to add total to the table which is created by just selecting columns required in the Define Criteria section.
We can add a total w/o creating the pivot table also. By the way, I have found the solution. The key lies in the second step. If u want me to explain in detail. Just let me know.

Yes
presumably your total is in a repeating frame above the detail. What you need to do is make your detail repeating frame shorter than the page width. Your total repating frame should extend to the page width. You an then insert your total on the same line as the detail.
This will probably put the total at the top, rather than the bottom. I think you can get around this by using anchors

I ran my iphone over but need to access my contacts/info/pics. I have a up to date backup of my whole phone in iTunes but need to know how to extract the data and load it to my new desktop since it will be a bit before I can afford a new phone.

I accidentally ran my iPhone over and can't afford another one for a few weeks. Until then I need to find a way to extract the data from my last backup in itunes. I can either put it on my computer or I've set up a cloud account that I was hoping could open it. So far I haven't had any luck with either. if anyone can help me out. Need to subtract one day from the date appearing

Hi, I am modifying a script in such a way that for an output type there is an invoice date appearing. This invoice date should be back dated to 1 date less to the actually date that is appearing currently.
For ex the date is 2007.08.30 it should appear as 2007.08.29.
While debugging I found that it is picking up the data for the date from the structure vbdkr and the field is fkdat. From the following code in the script.
/:   DEFINE &SALES_ORDER& := &VBDKR-VBELN_VAUF&
/:   INVOICE DATE,, : &VBDKR-FKDAT&
What changes do I need to make the changes in the script or in the driver program?

You can get this Functionality by Calling a FORM (subroutine) from the Script Layout itself There is no need to change the Print program.
Eg:
In the layout set -> window -> text elements. Write this before displaying invoice date

I need to add new data type like SDO_GEOMETRY in spatial Oracle.
I don't mean the User-Defined Datatype but new datatype embed in the database.
I read the Data Cartridge Developer's Guide but it has info how to use more efficiently UDT through indexes.
Anybody used the “Type System” under Databases and Extensibility Services?
It might be written in C++ or Java but I do not know how.
Any hints and help will be appreciated.

The "Type System" is merely a compartmentalising the data type handling and implementation code/modules in Oracle.
This covers all types. Oracle native types, user defined types (UDTs), etc.
Saying that you want to create a new type in the "Type System" is basically saying you want to use the CREATE TYPE SQL command in Oracle.

Hmm.. I'm not sure what you are trying to compare ito of a UDT and Data Cartridge extensions. It is not one or the other. What research is this if I may ask?
Simplistically you extend the Type System with a new UDT/ADT. And there you have a new type data can be used in the SQL Engine and the PL/SQL engine. The OCI (Oracle Call Interface) supports such types via the OCI object API calls - which means this new type can also be used from Oracle clients written in Delphi, C++, Java, etc.
That new type can be a complex type. This type may need specific management code (memory management, context management, internationalisation, etc). To support this you can extend the UDT/ADT further by developing Cartridge Basic Service interfaces for the type - designing and writing management code to, for example, support specific internationalisation requirements when dealing with multibyte character sets.
You can also extend the UDT/ADT to be custom managed ito indexing, determining query optimisation, computing costs of custom methods/functions/operators on this custom data type. These extensions are done by developing Data Cartridge interfaces for the type.
Thus I cannot see what you are trying to compare. It is not one layer/interface versus another. These layers exist for all Oracle types (in the Type System). Oracle not only allows you to add to the top layer by adding/defining a new data type. It also allows you to customise (if needed) the layers below it.
