My requirement is to create a PDF file with some fixed amount of information being displayed in the PDF, on the click of a link...
Currently,ive created links on first column of table, and on click of which, a new page opens up (usnig factory method), i even pass parameter to the page. Now instead of a .htm file, i want a pdf file. How can i achieve this? Thanks in advance.

By triggering some events, you can display a PDF file. Use the below piece of code for you requirement.
In the triggering event,
write the code for the smartform data to be displayed.
Ex: EXPORT <structure1> FROM <structure1>
 TO MEMORY ID '<Memory>'.
CALL METHOD current_activity_object->process_document
 EXPORTING
 channel = '<Event ID>'
 IMPORTING
 document = lv_document.

If you use Acrobat pro, generate your .pdf file and then save it as (french version):
... so that anyone using Acrobat Reader (or Pro, of course) can modify the .pdf file (with limitations), add comments, ...

You can't access Acrobat from a service - since we won't run in Service mode...only in standard Application mode. In addition, we don't run on a server.
But if you were doing this from a standard application - then you'll want to read the JavaScript documentation in the SDK as well as the documents about the .NET/JS bridge.

Yes, but you may have to tweak it in Acrobat Pro.
That said, you may be better off just creating the form right in the
site. My guess is that there are a ton of WordPress plugins to do this.

1) pdfwriter. Here i endup with giving the path for the file.I ve tried giving RID and URL of the document. but in vein.
2) createresource. Here i am able to create a txt file. but couldnt find how to create pdf.

In my view,the solution for this is to create a pdf file in C or any drive of the sever temporarily and get the FileInputstream from that temporary file and with the file stream upload pdf file in to KM repository and finally delete the temporary file u have created.

Need to create a pdf that shows imported charts accurately

I have an annual report with a lot of charts and graphs imported from Illustrator. When I create a pdf, the lines of the charts and graphs appear to be inconsistent. The images are fine, but I am unable to show them to the client as the should look. I have tried every option for exporting and also have printed to a pdf with no luck. Is there a way to get a better preview a pdf from Indesign? I am on a MAC/OS 10.5.8/CS3.

That's a display issue and there's not a whole lot you can do about it. You can try playing around with the Acrobat/Reader display prefs but I will tell you one thing for sure...if the person viewing this is using an LCD that is not running at its native resolution it's not likely that you'll ever get it to look good.

I have a new, rather large, pdf document I need to create. After discovering that adobe will not reliably convert hyperlinks from an office document, I need a new strategy. Does anyone know of a program, other than office, that adobe will reliably convert the links in the origional document into links in the pdf? Or is there a different way to do this, other than adding links in adobe after I create the pdf?

Creating a PDF from Word, endnote links jump to wrong page

I have a Word file with a large number of endnotes. In Acrobat 9.5.5 the endnote links jumped to the correct page. In Acrobat XI, which I just upgraded to, all endnotes jump to the wrong page. Somehow when converting the Word to PDF the calculation of what page to jump to is calculated incorrectly. Is this a known problem? I see other discussions on problems with endnotes but they are for different problems. How can I resolve this. I don't want to have to revert to Acrobat 9, but it worked.

Well I tried that. I set the printer driver to Adobe PDF. I then selected all text and hit F9 to refresh all links and saved the file and then went to the Acrobat tab to create the PDF version. Using the application and importing the file to create a PDF causes the same result. I can now see a pattern of what is happening. This has a large number of endnotes, 525. There are probably 30+ endnotes links per page. I noticed that all the endnotes links for the first page that has the links all point to the second page of endnotes in the endnote section (strange that it starts with the second page and not the first), then all the endnote links of the next page point to the third page of endnotes and it continues that way until the end.
Another way to describe this is that the first page of endnote links should point to endnote pages 1 through 4 but they all point to page 2.
I checked and all the links in the Work doc are linking correctly.
I wonder if version XI has been rewritten since version 9 and my case is too extreme for this version and it chokes. I'm trying to rebuild part of the file from scratch and see if the problem goes away since there is a lot of history to this file and it started at least at Word 2007. I'm using Word 2013 now and have converted the format to the 2013 level.
I've sent in a bug report but have not heard anything and talked to customer service over chat but they don't seem to care enough to pass this to development even though it's easily reproducible.

I need to create a .pdf of a CAD (Microstation) file with a bitmap embedded

every plot driver I have tried will not include the bitmaps (3 of them in the title block of the drawing) in the .pdf.
All of the other elements are created but not the bitmaps. I am using MicroStation V8 XM edition.

Acrobat DC for iOS itself is a PDF viewer that offers the basic functionality (viewing PDF documents, adding annotations, filling out forms, searching, printing, sharing documents, etc.) for free.
To create PDF documents or covert one file format to/from PDF, you would need the Adobe PDF Pack online subscription service.

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to convert an email (in Apple Mail) to PDF on iOS.
Here are some alternatives that I can think of.
Copy and paste the email content to a Word document and convert it to PDF with Adobe PDF Pack.
Take a screenshot of an email on your iPad/iPhone and convert the image to PDF with Adobe PF Pack or other free/paid scan iOS app.
Install the 30-day free trial version of Acrobat Pro DC (desktop app) on your desktop computer and print an email to PDF by choosing Adobe PDF as a printer.

Help! I need to create a PDF from a folder of jpg and tiff images.

This would be from a known CD folder so I could pass the name to the program. The resulting PDF, with the same name as the folder, should be put it in a books folder under Documents.
I would like to initiate this action by clicking on a link on a local HTML page.
Just knowing if this is best done in Automator, AppleScript, or bash (or whatever) would help.
For some background: So I have 20 CDs with several dozen folders in each, full of images nicely ordered. Right now I preview them and Save As..PDF. Works fine but it is tedious.
I have a list of the CD Labels, and the existing folders inside them. I also have a handy HTML page in my Documents with the links to all the (future) PDFs ready to go.
Having a program that would just go through a whole CD and make PDFs of the same name as the different folders would be great too.

Are you attempting to delete content based on the tags? If so, it doesn’t work that way. You could work in the Content navigation pane to remove content but just remember that information on each page won’t reflow. Also, things like headings/page numbers and such won’t renumber either. If you need to do this level of editing you should export the PDF to a format like Word.

Have working PL/SQL, need to create a PDF

I am a newbie to Oracle Reports, and I need to generate a report that is beyond the basic reports scenario. I am having no luck with the GUI or web editor (I can't even get anchors and expandable sections to work), but I have a working PL/SQL routine that writes the output to html and does everything I want except to format the data in a .PDF file and make the output available via a URL. Oracle Reports did a great job of formatting the original version of what we need, but the few modifications are not so simple with reports.
Old simple scheme:

Expert help needed to create a PDF which mirrors a real book

I am trying to turn my book into a PDF.
Here's the problem: My book is best enjoyed when the pages are side by side because some of the illustrations fill both pages. Unfortunately when I set my Adobe Reader Page Display to Two-Up, the odd numbered pages appear on the left which screws up the illustrations. Needless to say, most books have the odd numbered pages on the right hand side but I can't seem to figure out how to get Adobe Reader to accomplish this.
Since my book was originally formatted in a six-year old version of Quark Express, I tried to insert an extra page in the beginning, but this royally screwed up the illustrations and threw everything out of kilter.
Does anyone have some glorious stroke of genius to help me out of my predicament? Thanks.

Acrobat X won't open pdfs by clicking on link

After Acrobat X has one or two files already open in it, clicking on additional files, they fail to open. I have to do a "file open" then search for the pdf file then click on it to get it to open. This is time consuming, especially when the pdf is an attachment. You have to go through the steps of saving the attachment someplace (maybe I don't want to save it after reading it) then open the file.
I also am having problems printing to a pdf. Most of the time after saving, the pdf will open it so I can see what it looks like. Other times it saves it and then I have to manually open Acrobat and then open the file.
These two problems have only begun occuring since installing Acrobat X. Previous versions worked fine.

You are using either the built-in Mozilla PDF Viewer or the built-in Chrome PDF VIewer and have a LiveCycle Designer XFA form being viewed. You need to configure the web browser accordingly.

There are are probably registry entries available for setting this up in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry hive for both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, but I don't know them and have not seen them posted on any vendor site. Then again, I haven't looked either.

My iMessage says it needs to be activated but i clicked the link and it already says its been activated...how do i get my imessage to turn on?

I just updated my 3GS to the 6 and everything has turned out well, but when i started signing up for the imessage i ran into some problems. I went through each step as it asked and then it sent a verification link to my email and thats where im lost at. I went to my email and clicked on the link and it says my account has already been verified. When i go back to settings and down to messages where you turn on imessage it says "waiting for activation. What is going on? thanks in advance

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
