Need to create a report to show values for a particular date range

I have to create a report, out of which I need two columns : << Customer Value Variance and Churn Score Variance >> to show values only for a custom date range, which will be entered via a dashboard prompt.
These generic date columns are not present and cannot be added. I have to make use of Pres variables
What I have currently done is:
1) Created a prompt with 2 different date columns and passing those values into variables vStartDate and vEndDate. (I don't actually need those 2 column which I have selelcted, but I have taken those so that I can prompt the values in calendar format and pass onto the variables)
2) Created report with necessary columns, with 2 extra columns (hidden) as vStart Date Column and vEnd Date Column which take the values from the presentation variables defined in the prompt. I have created these columns as then I can reference these in the two required columns if necessary.
I am already facing error in report after doing this and I am confused how to proceed. Any suggestions?

Yes, but it only has one generic Date column, no start date and end date. I can't use that twice in the prompt. Although I can specify it to be 'between', but I'm not sure I can pass values to both variables like that.

    Hi, I have a unique requirement to process/report only the values of the last record found in a date range for a given set of characteristics.  The order would be by FISCPER.
    For example:  I have some data with 3 characteristics.
    STORE001 MATN001 2004001 100 PCS
    STORE001 MATN001 2004005 75  PCS
    STORE001 MATN001 2004006 80  PCS
    STORE002 MATN002 2003008 10  PCS
    STORE002 MATN002 2004001 15  PCS
    STORE002 MATN002 2004004 40  PCS
    A selected date range of 2003008 to 2004001 would result in the following records being processed.
    STORE001 MATN001 2004001 100  PCS
    STORE002 MATN002 2004001 15   PCS
    A selected date range of 2004002 to 2004006 would result in the following records being processed.
    STORE001 MATN001 2004006 80  PCS
    STORE002 MATN002 2004004 40  PCS
    How can I accomplish this at runtime?  Any ideas?

    Nope, it's not an inventory scenario.  It could be say the last status of a gas meter within a selected date range. 
    Any other ideas? 
    I've considered using VKF, but haven't figured out how this would work yet.  If I could modify the selected query data prior to query processing I might be able to number the records and then filter on that.....  Anyway I'm open to any suggestions or leads!
    I won't forget the points for anyone with a solution!

    IExpense Create Expense Report Page has an entity value by default . I am not sure that whether it is based on responsibility login or on employee login .
    1) Pls let me know if you know it .
    In Create Expense Report Page , department value can be selected by the user . Now I have selected a department which does not belong to the default entity . In this case I am able to create the expense report but with default entity code combination .
    2)I need to customize the entity value based on the selected department.But I could not track where the entity value is being set.
    Any suggestions to start it off ??

    You need to decompile your Controller and AMImpl class files and understand the underlying logic. Thereafter you can identify a solution to extend the controller and introduce the solution.

  • Calculate result as average in the report not showing average for all

    I have a calculated key figure in the query where its result should show average. I have made a setting for this calculated key figure as:
    1. Calculations tab: Calculate result as "average" and calculate single value as "nothing defined"
    2. Aggreagation tab: exception aggregation: Total and reference char: []
    Now coming to report, BEX it showing correct average for all cells but when i run it in portal few values it is showing correct average but for few it is showing as blank. I exported this to excel then cell shows blank but cell has some values in the custom format and display values when i change the format to general from "format cells" option.
    Please help me in resolving the issue- why portal not showing value for all.

  • CN41 report with out values for project dates

    Hi Experts
    The following field values are captured in Table PROJ.
    a. Finish Date PROJ-PLSEZ
    b. Forecast Start PROJ-SPROG
    c. Forecast Finish PROJ-EPROG
    But the report CN41/CN41N does not show values for these fields.
    Can anybody give clue to get this report with values for the above fields.

  • Custom Report for the Stock and Stock value for a specific date

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    Is there any SAP standard t-code or any logic to get the transcations (additions (for example: Purchases) and subtractions (Sales) to the inventory) for a particular materials in a plant and with Total Stock and also Total Stock value when that particular transaction happened?
    Our system is R/3 4.7
    I looked at the MB5B, MBCE, MBCA, MC44, MB51 and some other standard T-codes but could not find the total stock value at the time of Transaction happened.
    The history tables MBEWH and MARDH  are updated after the month end closing procedures, right, which means I will have the inventory value changing every month if material has Price "S".

    Unfortunately, you cannot see in a single tcode the value of stock and stock quantity on a specific date. As you yourself have pointed out, we only have to make use of the history table MBEWH, MARDH for the month wise stock quantity and value. Along with that you should also make use of the table MBEW to take teh stock quantity and value. So the total value of stock on a particular date will be
    Stock qnty = MBEWH value until the previous month (for teh specific valuation class, period etc) + MBEW value for the present date.
    But this will nto work out if you want to find out teh stock quantity and stock value on a past date basis. For past data, only  m onthwise data is available. For this anyway you can refer to MC.1 and so on reports.

    Sorry for my unprecise answer, but you talk about a tcode, but you're using a BAPI Call. Maybe you want to call the transaction in batch mode?

    For case A, create insp plan with usage "1- production" If you have one IP with this usage for given material then system will assign Plan to lot automatically. In your case for second plan update usage as 1.
    For case B, system should assign 1st plan make sure for both plan udage is correct. for 1st plan usage should be 5 while 2nd plan usage should be 1. Now if your 1st have status 4 and key date before lot date then system will assign plan auto.
