We are in to new development of product catalog in Oracle Product Hub , As per the client requirmnent we have to
create a primary key attribute basis on the Internal refrence code for product and promotion
can any one please take interest and help for us to resolve this iussue.

There are 3 columns involved with that table . Out of whihc one is a Primary Key (string) , The other column (Number) has a unique key constraint defined on it and the last column stores a value corresponding to the 2nd column.
The reason for me to do a create in the Finder exception is as follows.
I Loop through the Data present in JTable. As given in the example let us assume that there are 2 rows in the JTable. Out of whihc the First row needs an updation and the second row , which is a new row needs to be created. So During the First iteration of the loop, The findermethod does not throw any exception (Because it is a modfied row) and hence the update gets fired successfully. During the second iteration , since it is a new row the findermethod will throw a finder exception and hence create will get fired.
I understand that this is not a good coding style but then it is not 100% wrong and i need to find out as to why it is not working.

u dont need to create a primary key class for a entity bean.if ur table's primary key feild(int ,float) is a built in or primitive data type,then u dont need one.But if ur table has a primary key field which is non primitive (for example StudentID,ItemID etc)then u have to create a primary key class.

Help needed to get unique record from an internal table

Hi Everybody,
I have to get unique record from an internal table. i know we can use read statement with key condition .
But the problem is i have to use some relational operators like GE or LE.
eg
read table itab into wa with key width GE itab-widthfrom
                                                   width LE itab-widthto
                                                   machno eq itab-machno.
Its giving me error when I use the operators GE , LE.( I think since it can't find a unique record with those relational
operators in the with key statement)
Is there any other way to get unique record from internal table without using the loop?

Using the read statement you will need some kind of loop. For example.
DO.
READ TABLE......
WITH KEY ......
                    READ = SPACE
IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0
TABLE-READ = 'X'.
MODIFY TABLE
ADD 1 TO W_FOUND.
ELSE
EXIT.
ENDIF
ENDDO.
IF W_FOUND EQ 1.
...record is unique.
ENDIF.

Premiere Elements 13 (not Pro), recorded a video with mono mic input (left channel only), need to create 2-channel (left and right) audio track for finished product. Help?

The question says it all. I have been all over the tutorials as well as the menus inside Premiere 13 and cannot find how to edit the audio track beyond basic balance, volume, etc.
I can see the Audio 1 track, shows audio in left channel only, but it will not respond to attempts to select, cut/copy, paste, etc.
Basically I just want to turn one-channel audio into two-channel audio.

From what you wrote, your Premiere Pro video seems to be saying the same.
If that Premiere Elements Fill Left or Fill Right is no go, you might want to explore what you can do in this regard using the free audio editor Audacity.

And, then import the Audacity edited audio back into Premiere Elements project as source media.

Difference between Unique key and Unique index

Hi All,
I've got confused in the difference between unique index & unique key in a table.
While we create a unique index on a table, its created as a unique index.
On the other hand, if we create a unique key/constraint on the table, Oracle also creates an index entry for that. So I can find the same name object in all_constraints as well as in all_indexes.
My question here is that if during creation of unique key/constraint, an index is automatically created than why is the need to create unique key and then two objects , while we can create only one object i.e. unique index.

This is only my understanding and is not according to any documentation, that is as follows.
The unique key (constraint) needs an unique index for achieving constraint of itself.
Developers and users can make any constraint (unique-key, primary-key, foreign-key, not-null ...) to enable,disable and be deferable. Unique key is able to be enabled, disabled, deferable.
On the other hand, the index is used for performance-up originally, unique index itself doesn't have the concept like constraints. The index (including non-unique, unique) can be rebuilded,enabled,disabled etc. But I think that index cannot be set "deferable-builded" automatic.

Creating an INDEX on an internal table

Hi Folks,
Currently I am dealing with some programs which needs to be optimised.I had came acrossed some queries which are having some fields in the where clause which are neither a primary key nor in any index.As it is not advisable to create as many index as we can in a standard table,I just want to create an index on the internal table.

Hi,
There is no need to create the index in the internal table since the primary key of the database table from which you selected the data becomes Primary index for the internal table.
The primary index is distinguished from the secondary indexes of a table. The primary index contains the key fields of the table and a pointer to the non-key fields of the table. The primary index is created automatically when the table is created in the database
You can also create further indexes on a table in the ABAP Dictionary. These are called secondary indexes. This is necessary if the table is frequently accessed in a way that does not take advantage of the sorting of the primary index for the access.
You create secondary indexes using the ABAP Dictionary. There you can create its columns and define it as UNIQUE. However, you should not create secondary indexes to cover all possible combinations of fields.
Only create one if you select data by fields that are not contained in another index, and the performance is very poor. Furthermore, you should only create secondary indexes for database tables from which you mainly read, since indexes have to be updated each time the database table is changed. As a rule, secondary indexes should not contain more than four fields, and you should not have more than five indexes for a single database table.
Secondary indexes should contain columns that you use frequently in a selection, and that are as highly selective as possible. The fewer table entries that can be selected by a certain column, the higher that columns selectivity. Place the most selective fields at the beginning of the index. Your secondary index should be so selective that each index entry corresponds to, at most, five percent of the table entries. If this is not the case, it is not worth creating the index. You should also avoid creating indexes for fields that are not always filled, where their value is initial for most entries in the table.

How to create unique constraint in ODI

I have view at source side, I want to store source data to target interface table.
For that I need to create UNIQUE constraint at source side to identify the unique records.
I have composite primary key example as follow
desc Test_V;
orderID NUMBER,
itemNumber NUMBER,
productId NUMBER,
quantity NUMBER,
lot_number varchar2(80)
where
PRIMARY KEY (orderID, itemNumber,lot_number);
Some times, lot_number can be null, So, I can't use lot_number in composite key (as per requirement)

Problem while creating MS-ACCESS tables from Internal tables

Hi All,
I need to create Access tables from the Internal tables of an ABAP program.
I am using RIACCESS program to create Access table and FM TABLE_EXPORT_TO_MSACCESS for populating the records into Access table.
Internal table name is ITAB1. I have created Z table with the same number of fields of ITAB1.
Key fields of Ztable is MANDT and Project ID.
I have two problems.
1. When I am trying to create access table from RIACCESS, the Access table is not having the MANDT and Project ID as key fields. Is there any way to pass the Internal table with key fields to the selection parameter of RIACCESS?
2. How to avoid the MANDT field from the Access table.
Please help me.

Unique Key Violation While Doing Multiple Updates And Create in EJB

I am using oracle 9i and Weblogic 7.0. I have a table that has a unique key constraint on one column , say 'Col1' and i am using a CMP to read,create and update data in this table. The problem description is as follows.
I have JTable that display the data from the above said table. The user can modify the existing data and insert new data that will be reflected in the DB using the CMP. Let us say the following are displayed
ROW1
Col1 : 3
Col2 : 'ABC'
Col3 : 1 (Primary key in the table)
Now the user modifies the above row and inserts a new record. Now the following will be the display
ROW1 (Modified)
Col1 : 4
Col2 : 'ABC'
Col3 : 1 (Primary key in the table)
ROW2 (New)
Col1 : 3
Col2 : 'DEF'
Col3 : 2 (Primary key in the table)
When the above data is saved i do the following in the Code
a) Session Bean
For (all the data in the Jtable)

I'm getting this error "duplicate keys found". I'm finished installing the central instance and during the database instance, i got this error. I'm installing BW 3.5 on x64 windows server 2003 platform. I'm using NU kernel 6.40.
Thanks for your suggestions on how to resolve this error.

Issue solved by deleting central and database instance and started a new build. it finished without an error.
