Need to display value from ztable to a free field in a standard tcode...

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement wherein I need to get some data from a custom table and
need to display it in one of the free fields of transaction FBL1N(Vendor line item display).
I really do not have any idea how to go about this. Hope you can help me guys.
Thank you and take care!

Hi!
You will have to look for an appropriate user-exit (if there are any) for transaction FBL1N. In the user-exit you can fetch the data from the custom table and populate the fields of the std transaction. Alternative - The fields in FBL1N are populated from the FI documents. So you can create a substitution rule (using a user-exit) and populate the field in the FI Doc. For this you might require the help of your functional consultant.
Hope this helps
Cheers!

  • How can I get dataTable to display values from the java layer?

    When I use the dataTAble in my JSP page it will only display values from my java layer if the facets tag has it's name set to "header". Why is this happening?
    If I set it to "header" and I look at the page source it actually has created the correct number of rows but it doesn't put the values between the <td> tags? It see's the length of my list but it doesn't pick the values out of the list.
    <h:dataTable var="data" value="#{NameBean.test}" border="1">
    <h:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <h:outputText value="Name"/>
    </f:facet>

    <f:facet name="header">
    <!-- <h:outputFormat styleClass="outputFormat" id="format1" value="#{NameBean.test}"></h:outputFormat>-->
    <h:outputText styleClass="outputText" value="#{NameBean.test}" style="" rendered="true" escape="false"/>
    </f:facet>
    </h:column>
    </h:dataTable>
    public List gettest()
              List li = new LinkedList();
              Object Developers[] = {"M@n00j", "sdsadas"};
              for( int i = 0; i < Developers.length; i++ )
                   li.add(Developers);
              return li;
    Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

    I've been able to get it working with some of those changes along with changes in the JSP. I think it's a setting or two in the JSP that'll allow the program to run correctly.
    I have a list and it's returned like what you suggested. A day or two ago I tried to move the outputtext outside of the facet tag but nothing would print, I know believe that's related to the following setting in the JSP:
    rows="0" in the <h:dataTAble tag
    Unfortunately the dataTAble isn't displaying the values correctly. It prints all of the values (Strings) in the list on each row and it make a new row for the number of items in the list.......... ???
    Here's what it's printing to the screen (the table):
    ===================
    == [asdasd], [sddfdfd] ==
    ===================
    ===================
    == [asdasd], [sddfdfd]==
    ===================
    what it should print:
    ============
    == [asdasd] ==
    ============
    ============
    == [sddfdfd] ==
    ============
    My code:
    public List gettest()
              List li = new ArrayList();
              li.add("asdasd");
              li.add("affffd");
              return li;
              }JSP
    <h:dataTable border="1" columnClasses="list-column-left"
        headerClass="list-header"
        rowClasses="list-row-odd"
        id="table"
        rows="0"
        value="#{NameBean.test}"
        var="data">
    <h:column>
    <f:facet name="header">
    <h:outputText value="test"/>
    </f:facet>
    <h:outputText value="#{NameBean.test}" style="" rendered="true" escape="false"/>
    </h:column>
    </h:dataTable>

  • Need to display data from one group while in another repeating group

    I have a repeating group in my .rft file which displays line level data that has a quote number in it.
    At the end of this repeating group I need to display the total for the quote number but these values are in another group that's within a differnt group higher up in the XML tree. Both of the groups have quote number so there is a link between the two. How do I do this? When I add the "higher up" repeating group within the current group I can't get any data to show. Any help would be appreciated.
    Kind Regards

    Here's the data, I do know how to to move up the tree like a file system but I think my problem is I need to move up the tree and repeat based on the value (quote number) of the lower node.
    For instance for each quote number in repeating group G_FORX_OPS_QTE_ORDER_LINES loop through the occurances of same quote number in G_OPPCAT_BREAKDOWN so I can get a total of the fields by quote number
    This is overly simplified but it would be like this
    <?for-each-group:G_FORX_OPS_QTE_ORDER_LINES;QUOTE_NUMBER?>
    quote number 1428
    various line level data....
    various line level data....
    etc....
    -- Open loop to get data from other group (Only get data for quote 1428!!)
    <?for-each-group:/FORX_AS_OPPOR/LIST_G_OPPORTUNITY_SHEET/G_OPPORTUNITY_ID/LIST_G_OPPCAT_BREAKDOWN/G_OPPCAT_BREAKDOWN;./QUOTE_NUMBER1?>
    Total For Quote 1428
    Billing Class
    BILLABLE: Billable total in dollars
    INTERNAL: Internal total in dollars
    <?end for-each-group?>

  • Displaying values from JSP in textbox

    I want to fetching values from database table using JSP and display the values in a textbox in a textbox. I found if the value is a single word, it can display correctly. but if the values are multiply words, there are just the first word appeared in the textbox. for example, I want to fetche address: 5 East 98th Street, just 5 appeared in textbox. The code is as follows:
    key = request.getParameter("key");
    person = homePerson.findByPrimaryKey(key);
    <input type="text" name="Address" value= <%= person.getAddress() %>>
    Can someone suggest on this problem. Thanks in advance.
    Qiang

    <input type="text" name="Address" value= <%=
    person.getAddress() %>>do this
    value="<%=person.getAddress()%>"
    dont forget the code... as in html spaces are ignored in values if they are not in codes.

  • Re: Help needed in passing values from workflow to Approve Forms

    Dear Experts,
    how do I pass values from a workflow to a step (Form) - approve form?
    I am using a customized table structure as my data source (FORMCONTAINERELEMENT) but am stuck on how to access the data when i get to to the screen painter's flow logic... What am i missing? Can you give me a step by step example. the ones i see on the net are input fields that update the screen... nothing that shows value being passed from the outside.
    I need to pass an exisitng value in the workflow into the form for approval of the the assigned agent.
    Please help!!
    Thank you.

    Hello !
             Create a method just before the form step.This method should populate the values for the fields maintained in the form.
             Pass the values populated from this method to your customized table structure (data source).In other words, you have to pass all the values to the workflow container.
            To the step, pass this workflow container by binding.In the control tab of form step, you have to do the binding.

    S.Suresh

    please go through the code below.
    export p_keyfgr to MEMORY id 'XYZ' .
    EXPORT gt_fcst_filedata[]       TO MEMORY ID 'ABC'.
    SUBMIT (g_hlp_progname) WITH fpath  = p_fname

  • Display value instead of key in input field with LOV?

    Sorry, this is so basic I'm sure it must be easy but somehow I can't find it in the documentation. The LOCATION table contains a foreign key referencing the CLIMATE table. As well as its primary key, CLIMATE has a column called NAME holding the name of the climate (e.g. temperate, tropical, etc.). The user must be able to update the climate value for the location he is working on. So I have a list of values which looks up possible climate names, the user selects the name he wants and the value gets set in the LOCATION table. That works, but the problem is that the input item displays the key value of the CLIMATE record, and I need it to display the value of NAME instead. Of course I can have another field showing the name, but that is messy, the user doesn't understand the key value and shouldn't have to see it. So how do I make one input field display the NAME, while actually updating the key value from the LOV choice?
    Thanks

    Thank you, Joseba. It does help to some extent. Now I have a non-updatable field with the climate name in it, and below that is the magnifying-glass icon that invokes the list of values. I guess that's not bad, and I can put a label next to the magnifying class saying "Click to select climate". So it's better, but still looks very odd compared to updating fields that are in the LOCATION table itself, where it's an updatable field and the maginfying glass is right next to it. Really the user should not have to behave differently just because the database chooses to hold the value that he wants to alter as a reference to another table.
    Is there at least a way to put the list of values magnifying-glass next to the field that displays teh value, rather than underneath it? They are all inside a thing called "af:panelFormLayout", and I tried setting MaxColumns to 2 in its properties, but it still won't let me move the list-of-values field alongside the other one.
    Thanks.

  • Displaying data from stored procedure into textbox fields based on user input.

    I have a stored procedure that is selecting data from a table called "Vendor" in my database.  The data that is being returned are vendor names, vendor addresses, vendor Id's, etc...In my stored proc, I have one parameter that allows
    the user to enter a vendor name and then return all the data for that specific vendor.  The report that I'm building is going to look like a basic form with a bunch of textboxes on the screen labeled Vendor Address, Vendor Id, Vendor City, Vendor State,
    etc...In the report I'm trying to build, the user will enter in a vendor name and then it will return all of the vendor's data based on what the user searches for.  However, the report will only return ONE vendor's data at a time.
    The problem is that some of the data in the database has very similiar vendor names, but different vendor addresses, vendor Id's, etc...In some instances the vendor name is actually
    exactly the same, but the vendor address, vendor city, vendor Id, is all different.  So what I did was added another parameter in my report that shows a drop down list of vendor names based on the wildcard search the user just did and
    allows the user to select the exact vendor name that he/she is looking for based on what they searched.  The problem I'm having is that I don't know what expression I need to put in each one of my textboxes to retrieve the correct data from
    the vendor table that the user selects from the drop down list.  So what I want to do is return the exact data from the vendor table based on the selection that the user makes from that drop down list.  It's like I somehow have to compare the
    drop down list parameter directly to the dataset but I don't know what expression needs to go in the textbox.  I've tried...=First(Fields!VendorName.Value, "DataSet1").EqualsParameters!DropDownList.Value(0) but I keep getting an error message.
    --Here is an example of the kind of thing the user might search for...when the user searches the word "sprint" it returns three different vendor names to the drop down list.
    1. sprint
    2. sprint
    3. sprint co
    Each one of those three vendor names has a different vendor address, vendor city, vendor ID, etc...but the vendor names are extremely similar and in some cases
    exactly the same. In my report now I can't get the textboxes to return the correct data based on what the user selects.  Any advice at all is greatly appreciated.
    P.S. I didn't even know what SQL Server was a month ago and had zero knowledge of SSRS at all.  I've learned a lot recently, but if you could explain a solution in the easiest way possible I would appreciate it. Thanks!

    Hi Jrcowles,
    If I understand you correctly, you wnat to list all the Vendor Name which like the user typed Vendor Name on a drop-down list, right? If in this case, we can use a cascading parameters to achieve your requirement. I have tested it on my local environment,
    the steps below are for you reference.
    Create an other stored procedure using the query below.
    CREATE PROCEDURE GetVendorName
    @VendorName NVARCHAR(50)
    AS BEGIN
    exec( 'SELECT * FROM Vendor WHERE VendorName LIKE ''%'+@VendorName+'%''')
    END
    Create another dataset DataSet2 and using the new created procedure.
    Create another parameter VendorName2 and check "Allow Multiple Values" for this parameter.
    On the Available Values tab, check "Get values from a query". Select corresponding dataset and field.
    On the Default Values tab, check "Get values from a query". Select corresponding dataset and field.

  • Need to display a percentage sign '%' in the query field

    hi all
    I know that this might be very simple..
    but it has bugged me for a while now..
    i need to display ''%" in a particular field alongwith the number in the query for
    1. when field is having a percentage calc of two KF.
    2. when field is a mixed containing amount type KF & i need to display it only for certain records not all .
    Please help me.
    best regards,
    ramesh

    1 - if you are using a percentage function in a CKF/Formula, it should by default come with a % sign in your report.
    2 - You can't mix and match (have '%' only for some rows) unless you want to use some vb macro or table interface class to do it.
    For any number that is a percentage but doesn't appear with %, you can always create another CKF ( = 100 % ckf_minus_perc ), or a variant of it and that should get you the same value with a % sign.

  • How to assign values from multiple output(cursor) to fields(line item-one below other) in forms??

    Hi all,
    I have a Form which has text_field columns as below , created from table RECEIVED_FORM_15G. This table is blank.
    1)     CUST_CODE with 1 line item. (Number of Items displayed=1)
    2)     ACCT_FD_NO with 10 line items. (Number of Items displayed=10)
    There are more than 1 ACCT_FD_NO for 1 CUST_CODE.
    When i enter the CUST_CODE and press tab, all the values of ACCT_FD_NO must get displayed. I am taking ACCT_FD_NO values from another table called KEC_FDACCT_MSTR
    and want to display ACCT_FD_NO, one below other (line item). So i put in the following code:
      BEGIN
           FIRST_RECORD;
           FOR CUR_R IN (SELECT  ACCT_FD_NO FROM KEC_FDACCT_MSTR WHERE   STAUS='E' AND ACCT_CUST_CODE=:CUST_CODE)
           LOOP
               NEXT_RECORD;
              :ACCT_FD_NO :=CUR_R.ACCT_FD_NO;
           END LOOP;
        END;
    But the problem is i'm not able to display the captured value in next consecutive line items.
    It is getting displayed in first & second line item only.
    The first value gets displayed in first line item, then the cursor moves from first line item to second line item,
    the second value gets displayed in the second line item, (this is because of NEXT_RECORD in my code)
    later all the values are getting displayed in the second line item only. (I checked it using message call.)
    I want it to display one below the other.
    The problem is the cursor is not moving to third line item after the second line item.
    So the remaining values gets displayed in the second line item only.
    So what is wrong in my code??
    Where should i place the next_record to make the cursor move from one line item to next line item i.e from second line item to third line item
    & third line item to fourth line item & so on....  Please let me know.
    Thank You.
    Oracle Forms Builder 6i
    Oracle 9i.

    The above code is right..
    The only mistake was In the property palette of CUST_CODE, "required" was not set to "Yes" .
    So after setting required to 'YES' , it worked perfectly fine.

  • Add Option of choosing values from list in "Person Responsible" field of Cost Center Master

    Dear All,
    Could anyone advise me how can I add the option to Choose Values from list to field "Person Responsible",
    in Cost Center Master Data ?
    The Technical Name of this field is VERAK, and currently it is an open field.
    I would like to allow the user to choose values from existing list.
    Thank you!
    Orly

    Hi Orly,
    You have take it to your ABAPer, who will have to modify the attributes of CSKSZ-VERAK field in CSKSZ structure. ABAPer will have to define it with foreign key and introduce the name of the table, which will be used for deriving the available values. No standard table exists for it, but you can either create your own Z-table or take it from users table (USR02) if you have the necessary information there. Of course, this action would account for modification of standard SAP structure.

  • Default value from another table in dummy field on a portal form ..

    A form based on a table :
    id
    name
    xx_id
    I created a dummyfield on the form in which i would like the
    name corresponding to xx_id -> I would like to fetch a value
    from another tabel into a dummy field.

    I could do this task by creating the form manually - is there anyway I can modify the insert for a form created by the wizard?

  • Direction Needed: Storing calculated values from datagrid column in order to call values into graph

    Hi all,
    I am new to Flex/Flash Builder, actionscript, and mxml, so please be kind.
    I have developed a small program that has a component that displays a datagrid fed with information out of a mysql db via a php data services connection. Within that same component (page), I have a graph that charts the dates via a plot chart. I am interested in adding a line series to the graph, but the data I want to use is a calculated field in the datagrid which I used a custom lable function to derive and display. Can someone steer me to the correct method to store such values and how to call them into a chart?
    Some addition information
    Custom label function:
      /* Custom label function for the Delta1 column. Calculates the number of days between the planting date and 10% flower. */
                                  private function calculateTo1stFlower(item:Object, column:GridColumn):String {
                                            var tempDate1:Date = new Date(item.dflower10 - item.dplanting);
                                            return Math.round((tempDate1.time / MS_PER_DAY) + 1).toString();
    /* Number of milliseconds in a day. (1000 milliseconds per second * 60 seconds per minute * 60 minutes per hour * 24 hours per day) */
                                  private const MS_PER_DAY:uint = 1000 * 60 * 60 * 24;
    Within my spark datagrid
    <s:GridColumn width="30" headerText="Δ1" labelFunction="calculateTo1stFlower" ></s:GridColumn>
    I assume I need to store the array of values for this column and then chart the saved values as the xField within the LineSeries. Should I use a class based model?
    The following link seemed like it may be an appropriate path; I am not sure though.

    Thanks for trying to post DDL, but you have no idea how to do a data model. You do not know that tables have to have keys, what ISO-11179 is, etc.
    You have a table that is supposed to model companies. Your singular names says that there is only one company!  There is no company identifier (the industry standard is the DUNS). A customer is not a company. We do not use numeric data types for identifiers;
    do you do math on them? NO!  The attribute property comes after the attribute name (you never heard of ISO-11179).
    Think about how silly VARCHAR(1) is.
    CREATE TABLE Companies
    (company_duns CHAR(9) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
     company_name VARCHAR(30)NOIT NULL,
     margin_oil INTEGER NOT NULL,
     margin_hangar INTEGER NOT NULL,
     margin_cleaning INTEGER NOT NULL);
    INSERT INTO Companies
     VALUES (1, 'AviatKorea', 100, 125, 200),
    (2, 'AXHollande', 50, 40, 30),
    (3, 'BFXNorway', 60, 80, 600),
    (4, 'EEEFrance', 10, 25, 60);
    CREATE TABLE Company_Tariffs
    (company_duns INTEGER NOT NULL
       REFERENCES Companies(company_duns),
     tariff_type CHAR(1) NOT NULL
        CHECK (tariff_type IN ('A','B','C','D'),
     PRIMARY KEY (company_duns, tariff_type));
    INSERT INTO Company_Tariffs values (1, 'A'), (2, 'C'), (2, 'D'), (3, 'A'), (4, 'A'), (4, 'C'), (4, 'D')
    SELECT * -- do not use * in production code
      FROM Companies AS C,
           Company_Tariffs AS T
     WHERE C.company_duns = T.company_duns;

    You might but a SQL programmer would not. This violated First Normal Form. It is a display report and is done in the presentation layers.

    Hi,
    ValueHolders are used by the JSF internal framework. To work with an object (attributes) in a managed bean you don't need to make it returning a value holder.
    Create a POJO, provide accessor methods and register it as a managed bean. Access it from JSF with EL
