Need to get the color value of a specific point

I'm writing a game that uses a custom button class.
Inheritance looks like this:
java.lang.Object
java.awt.Component
Sprite
GameButton
Now, the Sprite cass stores an image. I need to be able to take get a single pixle from the image (based on mouse click) and get its color value - or better yet, its opacity.
The reason for this is that the buttons are irregular shaped and transparent, so if the area the user clicked was transparent, the mouse event needs to be disgarded.
Thanks

  • How to get the color value matching with HTML?

    Hello,
    I'd like to have the color value based on the HTML pattern using JS like InDesign file is having the value c=80,M=20,Y=40,K=20 and getting the HTML pattern as #29a37a during HTML export.
    Please advise to get the same type of value for all the colors in InDesign without doing HTML export using JS.

  • Calling the DTExec from Perl Script and need to get the Return Value (Sucess or Failure)

    I am able to execute the SSIS Package from Perl Script using DTExec. But i need to get the return code of the SSIS Execution. Is their any option available to get the Success or Failure information from Perl ?

    Exit codes returned from dtexec utility
    When a package runs, dtexec can return an exit code. The exit code is used to populate the ERRORLEVEL variable, the value of which can then be tested in conditional statements or branching logic within a batch file. The following table lists
    the values that the dtexec utility can set when exiting.

    There's a wrinkle if the package is running in the SSIS Catalog:

  • Possible to get the color space and resolution from the .eps file

    Hi all,
    We have using the InDesign CS3 5.0.4, windows, javascript.  We need to get the color space and resolution of the graphics (.eps) file using scripting.
    The properties of the image like (actualPpi and effectivePpi will return the value only for the .tiff. and .jpg etc) but it will not return the .eps file resolution values.
    Kindly give me the suggesting for the decrepancies.
    Regards,
    Nagaraj

    ... open them programmatically in PhotoShop, read out resolution and color space ...
    On opening them in Photoshop, it asks you "what resolution shall I use, and what color space shall I apply?"
    A single EPS may contain any number of embedded bitmaps, with any horizontal and vertical resolution, and in any color space. You can use only a few of these with Illustrator -- and even only one at a time with Photoshop --, but other programs allow just about every possible combination.
    Not to mention procedurally generated bitmaps, also possible with PostScript.

  • How to get the key values of record in ADF Read-only Form?

    Hi
    I am using ADF Business Component VO.
    I have a search page( ADF Search Form) and I am displaying the results of the search in a ADF Read-Only Table( only few columns are shown) .Then by selecting a record and clicking on the button 'View' , I am navigating to a different page(ADF Read-Only Form) to show all the columns of the table for the selected record.
    In the second page, I have one more button 'view child details'.Now when I click on this view child details button, I have to show another page(ADF Read-Only Form) which fetches the data from one of the child tables of parent record.
    My idea is to create a ViewLink between the parent and child tables.( I have more than 15 child tables for a parent table).
    Is there anyother way to achieve this functionality?
    Please respond ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.

    Sijav,
    ASAP?
    Anyway - yes, you can do this with a view link. When you add the child table to the application model, make sure you actually add it as a child of the parent table instance (select the parent VO first, then use the shuttle to add it). This way, the parent->child relationship should be coordinated for you automatically. You should not need to get the key values manually.
    Then, when you create the page to show the detail table, make sure you use the child table that is shown as a child of the parent table in the data control palette (expand parent table to see the child).
    Hope this helps,
    John

  • Getting the Color of a Pixel in a Image

    Hi. I need to get the Color of the point in an Image (or ImageIcon). I've seen examples but they use BufferedImages.
    Thanks, Bob

    Here is a simple conversion for you:
    BufferedImage bi = new BufferedImage(myImage, myImage.getWidth(null), myImage.getHeight(null), BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
    Graphics g = bi.getGraphics():
    g.drawImage(myImage, 0, 0, null);If you are using ImageObserver objects, then replace null with the corresponding ImageObserver object in the BufferedImage and drawImage.

    How can I get the default value of a particular preference in FireFox?.
    I know I can see the default value for some of the preferences in about:config but, I need a programatic way to get the default value.
    I see some that there are values for preferences in firefox.cs but I am not certain that these are being used as the default values for preferences. prefs.js in user's profile only has the updated values and not the default values.
    Any help towards acheiving this programtically is greatly appreciated.
    If the default values are stored in a file, kindly let me know the format in which it is stored for me to parse it programatically.

    Dear Friend,
    Here when you have the callableSattement as ?=proc(?), the first ? is an output parameter. So you should register it as out parameter using registeroutparameter.
    Then you can get the value from the outparameter using callablestatement.getXXX().
    Try that way.

  • I need to get the value of a text field that is located in another page JSP

    I need to get the value of a text field that is located in another page JSP. How do I do that?

    Well you see, I have a page at angelfire.com, which
    does not support JSP. I want to call a script located
    at mycgisever and then, when pressing a link on the
    former page, the JSP page is loaded, and the script
    get the value from the text field on the OTHER page.
    Is this possible?I know nothing about cgi. But that should not prevent me from understanding what can and cannot be done, assuming cgi is sort of comparable with jsps.
    I'm unable to understand your description clearly. Try to explain it better. Give precise steps that you intend to follow and I should be able to help you further.
    So you have a page1.
    You hit submit from page1.
    That goes to the cgiserver.
    From the cgiserver, programmatically load up the jsp.
    search this for the text field.
    Display it on your page2.
    Is that what you are trying to do?
    BTW, won't be able to help you with cgi scripting at all. Can help with Java and Jsp.

  • Get the color of a pixel in an image

    how can i do to get the color of a pixel in an image ???
    Can anyone help me ?

    Hi,
    first of all you need to get the library to transfer your image to java.awt.image.BufferedImage object.
    I know many such libraries. Its depends of what kind of image you have: jpeg, gif, png or other.
    And when you get the BufferedImage of you picture using library, then you can get the color of any pixel in image using int BufferedImage.getRGB(int x, int y) as integer value.

  • How to get the attribute values out?

    Hi everyone,

    <category name="Mens Clothing" id="0">
    <subcategory>Active/Baselayer Tops</subcategory>
    <subcategory>Active/Baselayer
    Bottoms</subcategory>
    </category>
    <category name="Womens Clothing" id="1">
    <subcategory>aaa</subcategory>
    <subcategory>bbb</subcategory>
    </category>
    </root>
    How to get the attribute values out? For example "Mens
    Clothing" and "Womens Clothing".
    // the line below returns "Active/Baselayer Tops" and
    "Active/Baselayer Bottoms"
    var myXml:XML = new XML(event.result);
    Thanks,
    May

    Here is attribute identifier operator from FB Help:
    @ attribute identifier Operator
    Usage myXML.@attributeName
    Identifies attributes of an XML or XMLList object. For
    example, myXML.@id identifies attributes named id for the myXML XML
    object. You can also use the following syntax to access attributes:
    myXML.attribute("id"), myXML["@id"], and myXML.@["id"]. The syntax
    myXML.@id is recommended. To return an XMLList object of all
    attribute names, use @*. To return an attribute with a name that
    matches an ActionScript reserved word, use the attribute() method
    instead of the @ operator.
    Operands attributeName:* — The name of the attribute.
    Example
    How to use examples
    The first example shows how to use the @ (at sign) operator
    to identify an attribute of an element:
    var myXML:XML =
    <item id = "42">
    <catalogName>Presta tube</catalogName>
    <price>3.99</price>
    </item>;
    trace(myXML.@id); // 42The next example returns all attribute
    names:
    var xml:XML =<example id='123' color='blue'/>
    var xml2:XMLList = xml.@*;
    trace(xml2 is XMLList); // true
    trace(xml2.length()); // 2
    for (var i:int = 0; i < xml2.length(); i++)
    trace(typeof(xml2
    )); // xml
    trace(xml2.nodeKind()); // attribute
    trace(xml2
    .name()); // id and color
    } The next example returns an attribute with a name that
    matches a reserved word in ActionScript. You cannot use the syntax
    xml.@class (since class is a reserved word in ActionScript). You
    need to use the syntax xml.attribute("class"):
    var xml:XML = <example class='123'/>
    trace(xml.attribute("class"));

  • I need to get the complete element including tag. How to parse this xml?

    I am sure there should be some solution to this. I have XML file like this
    <test>
    <data value="123" color="RED">
    <type>single</type>
    </data>
    <data value="13323" color="BLUE">
    <type>double</type>
    </data>
    </test>
    I need to parse this XML and get the data element(s). The problem is that I need to get the complete data element include tags like
    "<data value="123" color="RED"><type>single</type></data>". I need to parse the complete XML file and get every data element including tag and send it to another upstream process.
    Any solution to this will be appreciated. I am little familiar with SAX. Is there any solution around using xerces SAX parser.
    Other solution is also appreciated.
    Thanks

    how can i get the all values from the Property file to Hashtable?
    ok,consider my property file name is pro.PROPERTIES

    4306=sun java developer
    3943=java developer
    how can i get the all keys & values from the pro.PROPERTIES to hashtable
    plz help guys..............

    The Properties class is already a subclass of Hashtable. So if you have a Properties object, you already have a Hashtable. So all you need to do is the first part of that:Properties props = new Properties();
    InputStream is = new FileInputStream("tivoli.properties");
    props.load(is);
