Need to populate value for a KF only once for a combination of characterist

Hello All,
We had a requirement for a report. wherein we need to consolidate the data of the 0FI_GL_4 datasource and a custom table.
both these sources have only 4 fields in common i.e Fiscal Year/Period; Company Code and Pool
in the custom table, for each fiscal yr/period & Pool combination, there is a unique Plan value available.
To consolidate the data, I wrote a routine in the transformation to extract data from the custom table based n the combination of Fisc yr Period, Comp Code & Pool.
However, since 0FI_GL_4 has more than 1 entry for the above mentioned combination that is GL_accounts, document number, etc; during extraction, my plan value is being extracted multiple times to the cube and hence for a fiscal yr/period, cube shows a summation value.
I want the plan value to be picked only once.. please advice

As I understand in your infocube along with the primary key of custom table one more field exists e.g. Document number and due to which the value is getting repeated over multiple lines.
Though all these records are valid but when you are running report on this cube without document number all the plan values are getting aggregated, again this behaviour is also correct.
For your reporting purpost I feel that you need to extract data from the custom table in other data target and then do the reporting on that, wherein the plan value will not be repeated.

How to populate values for a new field in target infoprovider

Hi Experts,
am new to BI. i would like to know on how to populate values for a new field in the target cube with start rotuine.In my case, i have a source infoprovider, which has 3 fields and a target infoprovider, which has 5 fields. i need to populate the new 2 fields in start routine. i dont want to populate using Field routine and am using 3.5 version. please assist with code on how to solve this issue.

Debug the standard code and see where the other fields are getting update. you can use the similar approach and area to code for the new field.

Populate Values for Drop Down by Index in Table in Web Dynpro Java

I have a table and having a column table cell editor as Drop Down by Index.
I have created the table node (tbnode) and child node for DDBI (ddbinode) and set the singleton property for DDBI node to false.
I have same local variable node as same as above node and the values are available.
I have one button ADD.On click the add button i need to populate the values to table node and as well as DDBI Node.
I created supply function for DDBI node and populate the values for DDBI Node.

If you created the supply method by setting the supply property of the node, you should have variable 'node' available as argument of the supply method, which will be related to the table row of the triggered dropdown. Opening the dropdown does not change the lead selection of the parent node, so
ddbinode = wdContext.nodeddbinode().createddbinodeElement();
wdContext.nodeddbinode().addElement(ddbinode);
does always relate to the first row of the table (given that leadSelection == 0). With the node variable you can
IddbinodeElement ddbiElement = node.createddbinodeElement();

Need rounding off value for partial Goods receipt

Hi,
My requirement is that the PO value,PO tax value ,GR value and Invoice value(IR) should get rounded off.
When I am using the PO value which is rounded off in PO, but at the time of posting partial goods receipt the value for the GR/IR clearing or the stock value is not getting rounded off for these G/ls.
What should I do for this to get the rounded off values in GR.

Hi Goraksh,
The problem is that the pricing (incl. the rule 17) is not normally called at the time of GR. As Jürgen wrote, the system just uses the "net value" field of the PO.
I have however a "wild" idea. If the price in the PO comes from the info record or from a contract (and not changed manually there), then you can set the "pricing date category" = 5 there, meaning "GR date". This causes the pricing to be called again at the time of GR and your formula 17 will fire.
The side effect of course is that the price that you had in the PO, printed and sent to the vendor will not be binding: if you change the PIR price before the GR, the GR will be posted to the new PIR price, despite the fact that the PO printout showed something else. So the question is if the price printed on the PO is indeed binding in your business case - in many business cases it is the current vendor price that matters for the billing by the vendor, not the one that you prined on the PO. For such business cases you should have had pricing date category 5 anyway...

I have a Report requirement where in I need to Populate values for FROM Period & TO Period based on the user i/p for Quarter variable.
For Eg;

There are no fields FROM Period or TO Period in Cube.I need to populate them in the report directly.

ALV List in the same Column for the row CELL i need button or value

In my ALV list for the same column I need Button or Value for the different rows (CELL) depending upon my condition.
as well as I have to make read only of 3 rd column CELL based on my first column dropdown value CELL for this Row Only.
Depends upon the value in column 1 / row 2   I have to read only the CELL of   column 5 / row 2   ie for the same row.
Depends upon the value in Column 1/ row 3    I have to   EDITABLE or   Button   the CELL of column 5 / row 3 ie for the same row
How to do the logic for this.
I tried and got it for the entire column only.
But my requirement is for the sepecific cell in the column.
Kindly help to proceed further.

Here is how you can make a particular cell in the row read-only based on certain conditions.
In my example I am displaying the flight details in an ALV. Here I am checking the airline id and if it is "AA' I am making the cell in the column airline id as readonly. In my example I am putting a check and readonly on the same column. However you can do this for different columns as well.
In order to achieve this you need to add a new context attribute 'READONLY' of type abap_bool to the context node which is bound to data node of ALV.
The method where I populate the node has the following code to populate the data.

i have retrived the values in Class[] and if i populate the table (as in code below).. i get only the first record..
i have created a value node (GroupNode) in the view context and iam binding the values to it from my Java Command Bean (CategoryBean)..

How to stop user from entering value for already existing data

Hi ,
We have a situation , where we need to give user a template for entering the data and then send it to the database. But we want that if user has already entered the value for a combination, then he should not be allowed to select the same combination again in that template.
In other words , there should be write access but not update access.
So I have two questions related to it:
1. How to build report with giving user , the drop-down list of available members under each dimensions. (I know that we can provide list by writing all of them in excel and then using those values in drop-down)
2. How to restrict the user for selecting the combination which has already been selected.

Hi Sanjay,
for your first question...
you can build an EVDRE in a hidden area/sheet to display all values of a desired dimension in rows. Set Option SuppressDataCol to 'Y'. Also maintain MemberSet options to display only the values you need.
Now you can reference your DD-box to the key- or description range.
With some VBA-code you can refresh this EVDRE on Workbook_Open and also set the range (attribute ListFillRange?) of you DD-box dynamically to the RowKeyRange.

Different values for threshold array?

Hi, I am collecting measurements from 8 fluxmeters in an array of 8 elements and graph them in a multi line chart.
The fact is that some measurements return bad values due to bad transmission or bad reading from the (OLD) instrument. So, those wrong values are under or above the 50% of the real value (or the same, of the setpoint value).
Only a wrong value between 2 good values is collected (only a peak at time), so my goal will be:
if a > or < 50% of the real value (or the setpoint) is collected and both the value before and the value after this wrong reading are good I would replace the wrong with a correct value (say: with the previous or with the setpoint) in order to have a smooth chart shape.
I started to use threshold array vi but I need different threshold values for all 8 array positions because all 8 fluxmeters could have different setpoints.
Not able to solve...and probably I will need to collect at minimum 3 readings before filter wrong values, so I suppose I'd have to fill a 8x3 matrix (?)...

I don't think that the threshold array primitive is the right choice. This function interpolates the array and finds the fractional index. It assumes that the data has a slope. It doesn't sound like your data would meet this criteria.
You just need to find the "bad" data points and replace the value with a reasonable value. (maybe the average of the two data points on either side)
