Need to profile the jdk 1.1.8

Hello Friends,
I need to profile a java app which is targeted for jdk 1.1.8. In absence of the jvmpi interface, is there a way that I could do it through the native header files (in the Include directory). Studying those header files, and the native dlls it looks like that the functions that are exported by the native dlls like javai.dll, only some of the functions are defined in those header files, so I think the Include directory does not include all the header fiels.
So, where can I obtain the remaining header files from? Could anybody please-please respond and help me gain some insights on it. My purpose is to come up with a small profiles for different java apps for older jdks, like 1.1.8. How do I obtain the method execution information, etc, through native jvm ?
Also, how would anybody write a debugger for these older versions of jdks?
Many-Many Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Actually, to be more exact, I think I would need the information on "oobj.h" header file. I was looking for the definition of the structure "Hjava_lang_Class" or "ClassClass". This is the information that I need to somehow be able to profile the older jdks that did not support jvmpi profiler interface.
Thank You so much, all. I would really appreciate your help.
Regards.

I need more than the maximum allowed 30 profiles - how do I change this? Once I reach 30 profiles and I try to add one - it just deletes one automatically thus only allowing a maximum of 30. Please help.

You are talking about 30 Firefox Profiles on the same Windows Logon User Account?
I never saw that as a limit myself. I had 53 Profiles at one time, although I haven't done that since Firefox 3.0. It was causing an extended launch time and I started using "remote" Profiles that weren't controlled by the Profile Manager and weren't in the '''profiles.ini''' file; launched by command line. Like this in the Target line for the desktop shortcut: <br />
    ''' "C:\Program Files\Firefox_4.0_zip\firefox.exe" -Profile D:\Mozilla\Active-Profiles\4.0_10-15-10-N '''

  • Do we need to compile the code migrating from JDK 1.4.2.11. to 1.4.2.15

    Hi
Currently our application is running in JDK 1.4.2.11 and because of the SSL vulnerability issues we are planning to upgrade the JDK to 1.4.2.15 version.
Just wanted to know do we need to complie the code for this change.

In general, no. However, if your code depends on code that was changed as part of a bugfix, you may have to make source changes, and then recompile.
Test and see. And review the release documents for the versions involved.

  • Well is it needed UNINSTALL first the 13 JDK ?

I installed JDK update 13, [not netbeans till now installed=any ver.] well now I want to install upper but below:
bundle JDK update 14 & Netbeans 6.7 all together in one file...
well is it needed UNINSTALL first the 13 JDK ?

Okay, I will explain in detail.
Under normal operating circumstances, you do not need to change any system variables. Only in specific cases do you need to do that.
    COMPILING AND RUNNING FROM COMMANDLINE:
    - you want to add the bin directory of the JDK to the PATH variable. You have to do this yourself on windows.
    - you may want to set a CLASSPATH variable, but only if you do not use ANT or Maven. Alternatively you can run javac and java with the -cp commandline property. Even better is to use a build tool like ANT to automate a build for you.
    RUNNING ANT OR MAVEN:
    - you may need to set the JAVA_HOME variable to the directory where you installed the JDK.
    RUNNING ANT:
    - you may need to set the ANT_HOME variable to the directory where you installed Ant.
    - you may want to add the bin directory to the PATH variable
    - further configuration (such as classpath) is configured in the build files
    RUNNING MAVEN:
    - you may need to set the MAVEN_HOME variable to where you installed maven
    - you may want to add the bin directory to the PATH variable
    - you may also want to set a MAVEN_OPTS variable so you can define minimum and maximum heap space used by maven
    - further configuration (such as classpath) is configured from the pom files
These are borderline cases that I can think of. If you use an IDE, all configuration is done within the IDE itself. For example when you install Netbeans it will allow you to choose which JDK you want to use, it will even detect a default one for you. Project classpath settings are controlled from within the netbeans project. Eclipse works similarly.

  • I can't install Firefox 5. It downloads & starts the wizard. I follow the prompts till it says it needs to restart the computer 'to complete a previous upgrade of firefox' . I say yes and it restarts and there is no sign of firefox and no error message.

The very first time I tried this there was a red message that flashed on the screen too fast to read it. I have Windows 7 and AVG. My son's computer also has Windows 7 and AVG and his upgrade went without a hitch. It deleted my old version of firefox (3.6.12) so now I'm using IE. Windows installed a lot of updates just before I tried upgrading firefox. I have tried turning my firewall down. I have gone to the file in downloads and double clicked it and it does the same thing. It always says it needs to restart the computer even though I have closed all other applications. Should I just give up and try reinstalling an older version of Firefox? Thanks

It is probably because you are not properly closing Firefox. Restarting your system would make sure that Firefox had terminated, but you do not have to do that.
To properly close Firefox on Windows systems, use
:File > Exit or "Firefox:" button > Exit
When you get the message "Firefox is already running" it is too late, and you must force termination of Firefox through the Windows Task Manager before restarting Firefox. Windows 7 has a keyboard shortcut to save you a step "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" then on "Processes" tab, select "firefox.exe" and use the "End Process" button. More thorough would be to right-click on the "firefox.exec" and choose "End Process Tree".
You would find firefox.exe in a Mozilla folder in your program files, but y0u would not want to delete it there, you would need to use the Control Panel which you have already identified and do it from there -- but generally you would not need to do that, and there is nothing in what you have posted to indicate that you should. But if you did do that, then don't let the install start Firefox for you as you would want to use you existing desktop icon or method of starting Firefox, and should decline having Firefox install start Firefox for you. When the install starts then invoke Firefox in your normal manner. This should eliminate problems of creating a new profile rather than using your old profile.

    Consider using this site: http://www.stolenlostfound.org/
This is Apple's official word on the subject:
Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
If you have lost or found an Apple product, please contact your local law enforcement agency to report it. Although Apple does not have a process to track or flag lost or stolen product, you can use My Support Profile to find a list of serial numbers for items purchased or registered with your Apple ID.

You can put two 2gb RAM sticks in your model 2,1 but it can only use 3,3gb. This is a hardware limitation and cannot be changed.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3_GB_barrier
    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/faq/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-3-g b-memory-limitation-details.html
OWC tests have found that there is a slight speed increase with having two 2gb sticks in rather than one 1gb and one 2gb. Your model is in the gray lines at the bottom of the graph. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/Memory_Benchmark/Apple_MacBook/
You can buy Lion for $29 from the App Store witht a model 2,1 MacBook. Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly. As for programs see this list for compatibility with 10.7 http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications.
These are good online stores for Mac compatible RAM
OWC http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/MacBook/DDR2/ - They offer Mac tested RAM at very good prices.
Crucial Memory http://www.crucial.com/ - good place to buy RAM from all over the world. They also have an excellent memory selector that allows you to choose memory based on your computer's model
Data Memory Systems http://www.datamemorysystems.com/apple-memory.asp - another good, cheap place to buying RAM if you live in the U.S.
Here are instructions on replacing RAM in a MacBook with a removable battery. http://homeoffice.consumerelectronicsnet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=44404

  • Is there an Add On that automatically stores history to a file? Even if the history has been manually "cleared" via the pull down and dialog box? I need to monitor the history on my teenager, who knows how to clear history.

I know this might be considered "stalking" to a certain degree, but I am interested in my teenagers internet safety and an Add-On that can help parents would be great...

This is probably a loosing battle. Next you will need to ensure the teenager can not make a new profile, install another browser, or use a totaly different OS from other media. Once you have done all that you are unlikely to prevent internet access from mobiles internet cafes and friends devices.
I am sure others may make suggestions, but simply installing spyware is not likely to be the best philosphy.

    Hello Sreekanth
Thanks for your input. Yes it is working now after posting cost under same CE as what I have maintained in Base of costing sheet on required WBS..
I was under impression that the cost lying in cost center can be pulled out indepedantly on WBS through costing sheet  based upon percentage mentioned in overhead. However I am observing now that the cost posted on WBS is taken as base amount to calculate overhead.
In my case, Eur 100 cost is posted under primary cost element 652100 on WBS and Eur 2000 cost is posted on Cost center under same Cost element Actually I am required to pull out some percentage of cost Eur2000 on cost center to WBS. However,
currently it is taking Rs 100 (posted on WBS) as basline cost and calculating overhead over it and posting it to WBS again under overhead cost element.
Can we handle this through costing sheet or for that Assessment distribution is must?  May I expect the answer.
    Best Regards

The Firefox 3.5.x branch has reached end-of-life and is no longer maintained.<br />
You will no longer receive security updates.<br />
You can update Firefox via "Help > Check for Updates" or download and install the latest Firefox 3.6.x.<br />
Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
    * http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/4.0/system-requirements/
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

    Hi Abbas,
First, I notice that you are using IMAQ for USB.  Is there any particular reason you are not using IMAQdx?  This is the newer, supported driver for use with USB cameras that supports acquiring from multiple cameras at the same time.
    Check these two articles:
Can I Acquire from Multiple USB Cameras Simultaneously Using IMAQdx?
Can I Acquire from Two USB Cameras Simultaneously with NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras 1.0?
And also this example (if you camera does not support acquiring from multiple cameras at the same time):
    Toggle Between Multiple USB Cameras
As for timestamps, some cameras output them with the frame timing.  However, usually this is not a feature of USB cameras; if it is not, you can look into timing options within LabVIEW.  Try playing with the property node for IMAQdx and the Acquisition Attributes.

    Hi ,
Check the jdk versions in SDM and your machine.
Make sure the JAVA_HOME environment variable is set to correct jdk version which is used by sdm.
Where to check the JDK version in sdm:
You can check which jdk is being used from the following file: /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/SDM/program/config/sdm_jstartup.properties
        under value of property "sdm.JavaPath"
Go to your system desktop and select mycomputer->rightclick and select properties ->
Advanced ->environment variables ->System Variables check the variable JAVA_HOME=c:\jdk1.6
Both jdk versions should be same. Then only sdm will deploy the appl properly.
