Need to render everytime I re-open project in PP3

My problem:
On a particular project, I need to re-render everything everytime I re-open project even after I have saved and closed project.
I also experience SERIOUS ERROR crashes or simply PP3 freezes while trying to render whole timeline, I need to render in chunks.
The project file is a single timeline 2:45 minutes long with only the clip on timeline in project; it's CFHD low res clips (not corrupted) and there's quite a lot of CF cross-fades in timeline (it's a trailer) with about 5-6 clip color corrected that need to be rendered.
My specs are:
PP3 + AspectHD v5.2 build 105
dualmonitors with Ultramon 2.6
AMD ATHLON x2 4600+
4 GB SDRAM2 733 Mghz (dual channels)
MATROX APVe
ASUS SLI-DELUXE
Sound Blaster X-FI

I am having the same issue. I am also using AspectHD v5.2. The timeline which I am having this issue has many effects and also has some imported Photoshop files. Another aspect of this is that when I try and play the timeline the play-head jumps to the end of the timeline. If I render the clip it plays fine. Except when I exit Premiere and then open it again the renders are lost and I'm back at square #1. I have been struggling with this since November and am not sure how to fix it. I know you were hoping for an answer (as am I) but thought I would just chime in to let you know someone else is also having this issue --- for what it's worth...

I sat up all night, last night, editing a movie for a school project which is due Friday. I am extremely busy, and as i opened the file this morning to show the progress to a partner, Premiere, told me "Premiere pro has encountered an error" - "[c:\Mightykilt64\shared\adobe\mediacore\mediafoundation\api\inc\keyfra" - I click continue, and it says "The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements"
I am so frustrated as i'm super busy, and on top of that i'm no computer genious, i really really hope someone can help, i need it asap! I use windows 8 btw..

Gaps can be very small, and almost impossible to actually see.
First, I zoom in on the Timeline, to the Frame-level, and step through the Timeline, or play it, looking for a flash of black.
Next, I will hit Home, to get to the beginning of the Timeline, and then use the PageUP/PageDN keys to step through, Clip by Clip. I watch the CTI (Current Time Indicator w/ the red Edit Line) carefully. It should smoothly jump from Clip to Clip. With a tiny gap, say 1 Frame, the CTI will "hiccup," or "bounce." That is where the Gap is. How one fixes it will depend on where the gap is, and what one wants. Say that it's between two stills, I would then drag the Head of one, or the Tail of the other, to fill that gap. If it's between Video Clips, other choices might work best.
PrE has a "Close Gaps" function, but if one has Audio that covers that gap, it will not work.
One trick, that can get you to Transcoding is to add Transparent Video. Drag that to Video Track above all of your existing Video Clips, and extend it to "cover" the entire Timeline. The limitation of this method is that if there is a gap, there will be a black flash in the Video. If only 1 Frame, that might go undetected.
Usually, when one gets the ":Failure to Return Frame," there is a % of the Timeline, also listed. One can do the math to locate that on the Timeline. As PrE does a two-pass Transcode, then 100% of the Transcode is through two passes. The full Duration of the Timeline is at 50%, as that is the end of the first pass. That can be a bit confusing, as a glitch at 75% would mean that half-way through the second pass, there was an issue detected. Usually, if there is a glitch, it will be discovered in the first pass.

Need to render titles evertime project is opened

Just a quick question on rendering titles. If I save a project file where all the titles are rendered, can anybody tell why when I open it again there are red lines (need to render) over all the titles in the project?

Yes, Titles appear two places: the Project Panel, and then instances of those Titles in the Timeline. For unique Titles, you will need one of each in the Project Panel, but can have any number of instances of those in the Timeline. They are linked back to the Title in the Project Panel. What this means is that if you have same Title_01, and have used it 10 times in the timeline ("Meanwhile back at the pyramid") would be an example, and decide that they should all read "Meanwhile back at the Sphinx," you just need to make that change once and all of the instances will update to reflect that change. Now, if you want both, you would need to create a new Title with the other text, and then use as many instances of it, as is required. PrPro's Titler has one neat feature, a little icon, "Based on Existing Title," that will create another similar unique Title, based on the one in the Titler Panel. You will assign a name to that new one, and it will start as a perfect clone of the one you are basing on. Then, when you make changes to it, the do NOT affect any instance of the first Title, but will provide the same formatting, Styles, etc.. I use this "one-click" function all of the time. I also will Save as Template, any Title that I anticipate needing in other Projects, so I can load those, across all Projects, and base my new Title on the formatting and Styles. Not positive of exactly how PrE might differ here. Help, or others can direct you.
As Titles need to be Rendered for the smoothest playback, every time that you make a change, all instances of that Title will require Rendering again. Also, just adding a Title over fully Rendered footage, will then give you a red line, and you would need to Render all over, as PrE looks at all Clips/Titles on that part of the Timeline as a composite - one change will affect all of the Clips in that "composite."
Hope that this helps, and sorry that I do not know all of the in-n-outs of PrE's Titler, but just do not use it all that much. Others will know and can give you tips.

"Unable to open project file." i need help! URGENT

before the problem...
my film project and all its files were in a WD external drive. i had some problems with soundtrack pro being too slow because the files were on an external drive, so i bought 2 Internal Seagate drives. i moved all my files to the internal drives, and i changed my scratch disk to my new drive.
i have done this procedure several times before, and i never faced this problem before!
after...
so i went on to launch my FCP project, and while loading i got this message "Unable to open project file."
how can i fix it?

i reformatted it, and moved the files again... and surprisingly, it worked!
computers have a mind of their own sometimes!
but now i have another problem... i opened soundtrack pro to work on the same project, but its very slow! it keeps freezing whenever i want to make any actions.
whats the problem? and how can i fix it?

Premiere Pro CS6 crash everytime I close a project

I got 32 different projects with lots of AE links in the timeline (more than 80% is AE links). The problem occurs when I start the queue process for rendering in media enconder.
Everytime I send a project to enconder, when I want to close premiere pro to swtich to another project and do a big batch render list on encoder, premiere crash with a "sorry a serious error has occur" message.
Even if the queue encoder is empty but the app is open the premiere crash, whenever you quit, close project or open a new project.
It's taking a lot of time to reopen, wait for the media to come online and consolidate links, then send queue then wait for the crash the reopen etc... I making corrections on this 32 different projects and I need to batch enconde all of them everytime the clients ask me for a change.
I feel is payback time... I just switch from FCP to premiere and I was loving how fast I was doing this project working everythin in adobe over FCP+AE+Protools was so fast until now.
Any suggestion? thanks

one more thing, this could be helpful if anyone else is running the same problem.
I found that if you save the encoder queue and close the encoder, then you can close the premiere project without crashing premiere.
but also found that AE does exactly the same, if you are editing a AE link comp you will need to close and quit after effects before changing premiere project

I hope someone can help me.
I am using AE CC/Windows 7 on a Dell computer, 32 GB RAM, 64 bit op system, processors: Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPU x5670 @ 2.93 Ghz 2.93 Ghz (2 processors).
So far I had worked on many projects with no problems and then a few weeks ago the project crashed non stop. The problem was overcome when I got rid of all MP3s and converted them to RAM. Again this was an issue I didn't have in the past and I don't recall changing anything.
Now it seems it is impossible for me to export/render out a project into a Quick time file or even AVI. If its quick time I get this message: After Effects unable to render error an output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted -1610153464 and if I am trying to export with AVI I get this message: AE unable to open projects in the background 26:: 142)
This is happening with different projects.
I read the forums and heard that the problem may be a Bug with quicktime and H.264? I never had a problem with it before but again when I try to export AVI I get this error message:

I have a feeling it is quick time related. I have uninstalled and reinstalled QT but still get the problem. It will open old QT files no problem. I tried to download a bug fix update as one post suggested but I think I have the latest which is why it didn't work.
This particular project has a couple of quick media H.264 files. Do I need to convert them? Are they the cause for all of this?
I am sorry I really tried to look for answers in the forums before contacting you here but I cannot find a reason for all this mess, which again only appeared a few weeks ago with no problems for months...if someone can point out an area where I can start looking, I would really appreciate it. update: I converted all the H.264 footage which were in the project to WMV. And I was able to test export with AVI and it turne dout fine (like 10 seconds). However I still got the Error message: "After Effects unable to render error an output module failed, a filme may be corrupted or damaged. Error-1610153464 " when I tried to export H.264 QT..
I don't know what to do now, how can a problem which did not exist suddenly come up. How can I export a QT file? with AVI it will be massive!

Can I use Automator to render hundred's of LiveType project files?

hello. I have a few hundred LiveType projects that I need to render to QT movie--need to make them eneditable but still usable in FCP--So, does anyone know if I can do this with Automator, i.e. point it at a folder and let it open, render, save to different folder and close (rinse/repeat)?
Or is there an applescript that can do this?

btw, I tried a watch me do, where I went into LiveType with the few hundred or so projects opened, I then hit command-R, then "enter" (to save to doc) then once the rendering was done, I hit command-w to close the rendered movie file, then I hit command-shift-w to close the project file.
Then I stopped recording.
Couple issues: One: when I run the action, it only works if the project I am rendering to a QT file takes LESS time to render than the one I recorded.
Two: it doesn't repeat one time, let alone a few hundred times.

Will FCX3 open projects I created in FCP3?

I have just purchased FC Express HD ver. 3, and I was hoping to be able to open projects that I created in FCP 3 (and never finished). I never did upgrade to FCP 4 or 5, and wanted to see if I could import them into the FC Express so I could finish them.
Am I wasting my time, or do I need to upgrade to FCP5 from express?

I opened an FCP3 project in FCXpress. I had loads of keyframed effects, which were preserved on the rendered file. I could not alter or re-render any of this portion of the timeline though as the keyframes dont exist for these filters in FCX. I have since added to these projects and carefully rendered around the old keyframed stuff.

Strange Need to Render

I just created a 2-camera HDV multiclip sequence and have edited a clip into the timeline. I now get the dreaded red line indicating the need to render. I checked my clip and sequence settings against my Easy Setup settings, and everything is identical. Any clues why I'm getting the red line?

make sure that the actual sequence you are setting your multiclip is HDV. I'm saying this because it happend to me before. I opened a new project, then went to easy setup, didnt realize that the first sequence when the new project was opened wasn't HDV.

Any solutions for lost render/preview files when opening files?s

Have any solutions been found for the intermittent lost render/preview files when opening a large file? I have Premiere CS6. A large project file that I have been working on lately opened without a hitch with previews intact ...until I bought new faster hard drives and rebuilt the computer (built with the same drive letters). I just installed the latest updates. When I now open this file, a segment of the sequence always opens without previews, unrendered, no matter how many times I rendered the file previously. I don't use 3rd party plugins. I am using the warp stabilizer. I tried all the suggestions that I have found on the forums (using a blank sequence to close and open, unchecking “write XMD…” etc.) but none work. I checked the render/preview drive, and these files are on that drive but they will no longer link to the project. It now takes a good 15 minutes to re-render every time I open.

I may have found a solution. I took out the warp stabilizer, and then added it back in on the clips in question, and then re-analysed and re-rendered. So far, so good. It seems that bringing in the warp stabilizer effect in the file into the re-built computer needed re-analysing (as I do after this 2 day exercise.)

Unable to open project

I am having two different problems to Adobe Robohelp HTML X5
(1) When opening a project (previously created in the
Robohelp HTML X5) from my networked drive i can see all the folders
and topics i have created in the Project tab. If i select to view
them they are displayed correctly. If however i want to edit them,
that is a different matter altogether. Double clicking a topic or
selecting 'Edit' does absolutely nothing - the text is not
displayed in the right hand side of the window like i am used to
and i am unable to find a way to edit the information at all.
(2) Thinking that this may be a network problem i have copied
the entire directory for my C drive - now when opening the same
file from the C drive i get the following error: 'Open project was
cancelled or application was unable to load database for
"C:\MyCvs\src\helptext\ISM.cpd' - the file ISM.cpd is in the
required directory.
Please help, i am unable to get started with anything !!

One problem I think. RH is not designed to be run across a
network so it has probably corrupted a file that is now giving you
the problem on the local drive.
See the topic on my site about Opening Projects. I think you
need to delete the CPD file at least and perhaps the XPJ file.

Can't open project

I downloaded RH6 on my machine and then tried to open my
WebHelp file by opening the .hhp file, since I'm unable to locate
the .xpj file. I get an error stating the open project was
cancelled or the app was unable to load database for [the path
name] with the file name Quik Fixes.cpd. I'm wondering why it's
pointing to the .cpd file. I've tried restarting, tried deleting
the cpd file, thinking that it would re-generate itself upon
startup, but I've received the same error. Also, I've always opened
the project with the .HHP file, and never had a problem before. Why
can't I ever see the .xpj file? Does anyone know a fix to this? I'm
under a tight deadline here, and this is the last thing I need
happening!

What/where/how to find depends of the version od Windows.
Look for "Security Center" if in WinXP. I don't remember where to
look in Vista as I hated it and blew it away, never to use a byte
of my hard drive again. I no longer have Windows 2000 installed so
I can't help with that.

Open project was cancelled or application was unable to load database for pathname

My pc is installed with Robohelp 3x. Recently I shifted the
pc from one room to anther. Now when I attempt to open my existing
workable solution, it give me the following message: "Open project
was canceled or application was unable to load database for
<pathname>". Do I need to call for Robohelp technical
support? If yes, can someone provide me the toll free number?
Can someone pls advise?

Thanks Peter, managed to get in through the link you've
given. I seriously doubt it has anything gotta do with a corrupted
project. I have 2 working projects last week but they can no longer
be opened this week.
I tried even to created an empty project from scratch. It was
created successfully but when I reopen the project, it shows the
same error message.
Could there have been other possibilities or ways which I can
troubleshoot?
