Need to update my Logic 7.0.1 on my OS X 10.5.5

Hi. Can you please help me.
I've had Logic 7.0.1 for over 3 years. Never connected to the internet for updates.
I just recently upgraded my OS from 10.4 to 10.5 and starting to notice some problems using my LOGIC 7.0.1.
I visited the apple website to get Logic 7.1 updaters..but there was only updateds for 7.2 and up.
How can I find dmg files with updaters for Logic 7.1 on the apple website?
My Goal is to updated Logic 7.0.1 to the most current update. hopefully that will fix the problem when running logic on my Dual G5 Machine in OS X 10.5
any help is much appreciated

You would have to hunt for the 7.2 upgrade CD which is no longer available. You can go up to 7.2.3 which not only enabled you to use Logic on Intel Macs, but also to use all 4 processors on QUADs.
P.S. Knowing Apple you are better off upgrading to Logic 8 since I don't expect them to release this 7.2 upgrades anymore. It is a shame that they don't make this upgrade available online, but you know Steve Jobs is a forward thinking person. They won't take a step back, and I admire that way of thinking even though sometimes it is hard to swallow.

Need to create a transformation based on Update Rules Logic

Hi,
I have an existing complex Update Rule. I need to manually create a Transformation based on this Update Rule logic. The Start Routine of the Update Rule comprises of:
1) All data declarations in the Global Area
2) The local coding area consists of various select statements from various r/3 tables used later for mapping. It also calculates and stores values in the Data Package final internal table for few infoobjects that are not present in the Source object but and are used to populated data in the target.
3) then we have the various one to one individual Infoobject mappings/constants and many individual infoobject routines that pick result from the comm_structure
I am not very clear as to where each of the above coding logic should be put in the transformation coding area...... I can see four main coding areas in the transformation....global area, 2nd Global Area, Method Start_Routine and Method Inverse_Start_Routine........... I think the global data declarations(point 1 above) should be put in the Global declaration area of the start routine. The local area of the update rule logic (point 2 above) that contains select statements should be put in 2nd Global part or should it be put in Method Start_routine????? Point 3 above for individual filed mappings will be done through Rule groups. Also can anyone let me know what is the methos inverse_start_routine used for?????

Point 1 you mentioned should be put under2nd Global declaration part of start routine.
Point 2 should be put under Method Start_routine.
Point 3 as you only mentioned can be done by individual field rule mappings.
Method inverse_start_routine
      This subroutine needs to be implemented only for direct access
      (for better performance) and for the Report/Report Interface
      (drill through)
Not very clear though about Inverse routine. But definetly not being used for the case you mentioned.

HT1349 First of all, I have just purchased a iMac and I tried installing my Logic Express 9.0 and it won't work. Gives me an error message. I searched the internet and found i need to update it to run with Lion. Tried to download but my SerNum doest work.

I can't even schedule an appointment with them because I am in Italy now. Can anyone show me how I can fix this proble. You would probably have to use a time machine backup if you have one.
This probably isn't a bright idea :
Can you uninstall Logic.
Reinstall it.
And when you search for updates, only install 9.1.1 ?

Cant Update from Logic 9.0.2 to 9.1

i'm on a MacBookPro5,1, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2,66 GHz, 4 GB with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and i'm tryng to update my Logic Pro 9.0.2 to Logic 9.1 without any sucess.
After runing the Logic Pro 9.1 Update this message comes up "YOUR COMPUTER DOES NOT NEED THIS UPDATE". And after runing the Logic Pro 9.1.5 update the information that the Software was instaled with sucess but when i open logic it still on 9.0.2
I have all my logic versions (Logic Pro 7 , 8 and 9) on the Aplications Folder i never changed place and i never re-name the name of the aplication how some people sugest here in the forum.
Any help about this issue?

I need to update to at least 10.4.4 for FCP studio UB to run.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Should I stop there or go to 10.4.5 or 10.4.6 ?
What issues have occurred with .4, .5, & .6
I'll use the combo updater regardless & I'll do a Super Duper or CCC backup.
I have a project starting Friday where I need FCP studio UB (upgrade from Soundtrack Pro).
I'm on 10.4.2 now with everything else working well.

I decided to install 10.4.6 this morning after cloning my drives last night to a triple partitioned external firewire HD using Super Duper.
The OS update appears to be the smoothest one I've done yet. It went very fast. All of my most important apps opened and seemed to function properly, time will tell.
I did have an issue with my AMT 8 USB midi interface. It wasn't being recognized by the system or audio-midi setup. I've had other USB weirdness recently (XS key not found{heart attack}, firmware update not needed), so I hope I'm not having USB bus trouble.
I swapped the connector with another device's port & all is well so far.
Tonight I install the FCP studio UB.
I haven't got much time on the new OS yet, so I'm still holding my breath.

Update to Logic pro

Hi,
I'am an Logic Express 8 user and I'am thinking about updating to logic pro 8.
Can I find anywhere a complete instrument group list with the instruments.
The other possiblity is for me to buy instrument samples, the main instruments I want are woodwind and brass.

I will agree, the main features Logic Pro has over the Express is the convolution reverb, some virtual instruments, and I think better working with video as well as surround mixing- this will make it more clear:

And that is just the difference between Express and Pro, it makes no mention of the other applications bundled with Logic Studio, of which Waveburner for mastering is the favorite of mine. And of course, no loops.
The point is, it would be possible to add everything the Logic Express lacks by going the third party route, but Studio is a much more economical way of adding it all. I don't see how anyone can be without convolution reverb for instance, and just buying Altiverb or something will set you back $500 anyway. But then again, Altiverb is probably better than Space Designer... so you see the dilemma.
I would recommend spending more time knowing what your needs are, and are going to be... if you want better sounding virtual instruments and that is all, then by all means stick with Logic Express and add those as you go. I'm trying out this demo, and loving it:

But if you think your needs might change, then by all means get the Studio package, it rocks, and it's good for mastering and surround mixing, if you think you'll get into those areas ever. The upgrade from Express to Studio, for what it offers, really isn't a lot of money- if you even think you'll be wanting the stuff in there at some point then I'd go for it.

I've been working on this for days and it seems like
nothing I try works. My major problems are:
1. I have no idea how to read the text file and load

2. I can't seem to create a textfile that looks like
text for the output file.The java.io package has file reading/writing classes.

Cannot Update to Logic 9.1

Currently I am running Logic 9.0.2 without problems. A few weeks ago, the 9.1 update showed up in software updates and I installed it. Because of an old and still existing Logic 8 version, I deleted that version since I am new to Logic and don't have old songs in 8. I kept on working and realized just today, I wanted to try the new 64-bit version, that I am still running 9.0.2! The 9.1 update doesn't show up anymore, there is no other version in my programs (and library) folders and a manual install of 9.1 (I downloaded it from Apple) leads to: Your computer doesn't need this update - then the installer quits! What is going on here, where is my updated 9.1 version? Why is the 9.1 update refusing to get installed (again?)? Please guys, help me, because I want to use the 64-bit mode.

Firmware updates through Logic, how ?

I need to update the firmware on my Logic Control. The Mackie read me says:
"Import the MIDI file you just downloaded from the Mackie web site into your audio software application, and make sure the Mackie Control/Logic Control is the target midi device on channel one."
How do i set this target device and channel ?

Assuming you're MCU is connected to the MIDI port on your computer labelled "MyPort", then go to the environment window, New -> Instrument, and set it to "MyPort" and channel 1.
Assign that instrument you just created to an arrange track, and drag the MIDI file onto that track. Now, the MIDI contents will be sent to the "MyPort" MIDI port on channel 1.
