To my Knowledge there is not method for converting a standard report to alv grid.
U just collect the required data to final internal table and then build field catlog.Use this field catalog in the function module.

What rights do I need for materialized views scheduling

Hello,
Can anyone tell me what rights do I need to schedule a materialized views at 1:00 am every night?
To create material views I've use the folowing script:
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW MV_view
REFRESH COMPLETE
START WITH sysdate NEXT round(SYSDATE + 1) + 1/24
AS SELECT ... join tabeles... ;.
The problem is that on my test server the MV_view run every night, but on production server my materialized views run only once (when I've run the script above).
I have take a look into the user_refresh and in field NEXT_DATE it's the time of my MV_view creation.
It is possible tha my DBA put some restrictions on my schema? Or do I need some rights to use START WITH and NEXT in my script on production server?

Need a Material Master Report from R/3

Dear Experts,
Thank you experts for your valuable suggestions.
Now the requirement has come like,
The client need a report from R/.3 which will hold MATERIAL, Base Unit Of Measurement (BUoM) , NET WEIGHT,GROSS WEIGHT, MATERIAL GROUP. These 5 field should be there in the report.
And I am able to make a report on this from Sales Cube ( ZSD_C03 ),which is readily available, But client need a separate DATA SOURCE which will hold this character. I need to make a new flow from R/3 to BW with all Transfer Rule, Update Rule, CUBE/ODS ( DATA TARGET).
So kindly suggest me in Generating a Customized Data source and Doing all the activities for the above requirement.
Please help me out.

I am still not convinced as to why would the client want to go for a report thats going to be redundant. As consultant, you should explain them that why its unnecessary.
Still if its a requirement, you have to create first a view based on MARA table. Include the fields in this view from MARA that you want in your datasource. If you want a generic delta datasource, then you would have to include an extra field in your view i.e. Created on
Save it and activate it. Next, check in contents of this view, whether you can see the data in it.
If thats working fine, go to RSO2 and create the datasource (Master data datasource). Select Based on database table/ view.
Give your view name and save it. On next screen, select the fields that you want to keep for selection conditions. For delta, click on generic delta button. Here, give the created on field. This would ensure that deltas are based on created on date.
Next, you have to replicate the datasource in BW. Based on your requirement, you may decide whether you want to have ODS or Infoobject as datatarget. Then, created transfer rules by doing mapping. Once everything is done, create infopackage for Init delta load. Carry out Init-with datatransfer.
In this way, every day, you would be able to fetch the deltas for previous date.

Master data related fields for DP, SNP and PPDS needed in Material Master

Hi Kumar,
For DP, many of the fields under MRP3, forecasting tab
views will be utilised more in material master of R/3.
For SNP, MRP 1, 2,4 and basic data views will be mostly
useful
For PPDS, Fields under Bom, routing, receipe, production
versions will be used along with few fields in material
master

Create new entries with Field name BSEG-MATNR.

Fn Mod needed for Material Unit Conversion

Hi All.
I was trying to get the value of a material from EA to KG using a function module MATERIAL_CONVERSION_UNIT with which the data is not correcting properly.
After this I tried with the other Fn Mod MD_CONVERT_MATERIAL_UNIT. But this is calculating the Net Wt of the material where as I need to have the value for the Gross Wt of a Material.
Please hel on this.

Batch Determination in SD - Need for Material Master Classification View

Hi!
Is it mandatory to have the classification view of the material maintained to enable expiry date based batch determination at delivery creation?
I have configured BD for the delivery. When testing with a material for which the classification view is maintained, the batch is determined. When testing with a material for which the classification view is <b>not</b> maintained, the batch is not determined.
Appreciate that this may seem like a strange question given what the testing shows but I am working with a colleague who is adamant that the classification view on the material master is not required.
Any casting votes would be much appreciated and rewarded accordingly. Thanks, Duncan

Classification of batches is mandatory if you want to use the batch determination feature.

Need practice material for Oracle Apps forms, reports and workflow

Hi,
I want to design new form using Forms Developer 6i/Template.fmb, report using reports developer 9i and new Workflow using WF builder by changing the subscription of the currently defined event in Oracle or totally creating new event and its subscriptions. I want to do all the above from scratch and upto Oracle Apps standards. I have vision instance here.
