Needing to input formula for percentage
It need to look like this...(obviously I can do this part), but I need to input the formula for the third column to automatically take off the 30% discount from each list price (they will all be different. Then, I need the last column to keep the running total for all discounted prices column. I am having trouble finding this in the helps, as alot of the info is similar to what I need, but I have not found one that actually shows how to just take the 30% off the list price. Thanks a bunch for any help.

=C2*.3
Fill this down.
A running total of every number in column D would look like this:
SUM(D$2:D2)

I am creating a fillable form for subcontractors to submit change requests. One of the sections on the form is for materials. Most subs will charge a markup which is a small percentage of the actual cost. Obviously, both amounts are variables. I want the subs to be able to enter the material cost in field 1, the markup percentage in field two, and then have field three calculate the dollar amount for them. Is this possible? Btw, I'm clueless on this, it's my first attempt at an adobe form. Thanks!!!
A more standard way is to use something like the following as the third field's custom Calculate script:

This is assuming that a percentage of 20% is entered by the user as 20, as opposed to 0.2 or something else. Change the field values to match the actual fields in your form.
If the markup field is blank or zero, the total will simply be the same as the price value. -
Financial Reporting Studio: Formula for percentages in Dynamic report

I have a formula problem in Financial Reporting Studio vers. 9.20.582. I created a dynamic report with four columns:
1. Column: Entities
Entity A, Entity B
2. Column: Accounts
Account A, Account B, Account C
3. Column A: Accounts
Data for a selected period
4. Column B: Formula
Percentage Account B to Account A and Account C to Account A per each Entity
My question is: Could I create a formula in 4th column that shows a percentage of Account B in comparison to Account A for each Entity (everything in one cell)?
Because when I use for example the Formula Percentoftotal([a], [a,1(1)]) it shows for second entity B the wrong percentages.
I hope this was understandable.

You can use the concept of multiple grid here.
Please keep the referred grid at one place and use another grid where you want the formulas.

Create a variant, when you run a query - make it to be run only with this variant (via definition in a transaction for this query). In variant, you can define required fields.

Anyway, I cannot really make out heads or tails of your question. Your output takes about gender, but I cannot see it in the output from the query, which appears to group by "Foreign" and StateName. How does the boys and girls get into the picture?
And for that matter that "totals" column?

How to modify formula for the calculated measure in a cube.

I need to modify formula for some measures within a cube, What would be the best way do that? In the obj view if I update the formula and compile, it does seem to reflect in the model view.
I cannot delete and recreate the measures deletion and recreation would change the order of the measures which i do not need.

If you want AWM to show the correct expression in the front end then the way out is to change in the XML and reimport the xml.

How can I sum up raws? the Sum function seems to work only on columns. Right now I have to create a separate formula for each raw

You do need a separate formula for each group of values to be summed.
If the values are in columns, you need a copy of the formula for each column.
If the values are in rows, you need a copy of the formula for for each row.
If you set up your formulas as SGIII did in his example (shown below), where every non-header row has the same formula, Numbers will automtically add the formula to new rows as you add them.
"Same formula" in this context means exactly the same as all the formulas above, with one exception: the row reference in each formula is incremented (by Numbers) to match the row containing the formula.
Here the formula looks like this in the three rows shown.
B2: =SUM(2)
B3: =SUM(3)
B4: =SUM(4)
That pattern will continue as rows are added to the table.
Also, because the row token (2) references all of the non-header cells in row 2, the formula will automatically include new columns as they are added to the table.

User input formula variable with greater than/less than operators for KFG
Hello all,
I have used a formula in my query that is a difference of two key figures .For e.g:
Difference = tax from system A - tax from system B.
Now when the users run the report they should be prompted for the 'Difference' threshold for seeing the report say where difference is greater 100 or equal to 10 and so on.Currrently I have created a formula variable with 'user input' and created a 'condition' to display 'Difference' greater than the user entered value.
However,it is required to have various selection options for setting the threshold of difference.For e.g User should be able to set say 'equal to'/'greater than/less than/not equal to operator for 'difference' in the initial selection screen of the report.
With the current user-input formula variable I am not getting these 'greater than' etc operators.Any ideas on how to achieve this?Ya know, that's all well and good ... BUT ... WHAT IF you do want to sort text type columns with Greater Than and Less Than operatiors??
SQL does it just Fine ... so WHY does APEX have the limit??? This is an Oracle BUG ... it SHOULD NOT limit the operators ... I realize "they" may be trying to be helpful with proper constraints to field searches ... but ... if SQL can do it, then ... no need for a limit.

the "Begin_Year-Wk" data is less than or equal to "2009-09" AND
the "End_Year-Wk" data is greater than or equal to "2009-04"
... to give everything that was running in that 5 week period whether or not it starts within that time frame
I can run this query perfectly fine via SQL ... but not in APEX ... unless I reconvert a lot of strings back to numbers, and for sorting / formatting / explain-to-user purposes, I really don't want them to be numbers.
So ... there's gotta be a hidden tweak for operators somewhere ... -

Regarding the date matching... As I understand it, you want to truncate the date to Month and Year, not considering the Day part of the date. You can do that with this type of expression:
=MONTH(date) & "-" &YEAR(date)
The result for January 10, 2013 would be: 1-2013. If you must have the exact format of Jan-13, you could write this somewhat more complicated expression:
=LEFT(MONTHNAME(MONTH(date)), 3)&"-"&RIGHT(YEAR(date), 2)

How do I get 2 decimal places when using a formula for a quotient? It only gives me whole integers. Most of the results will be less than 1 so I need 2 decimal places
the quotient function returns only whole number portion of the dividing two numbers. If you want the actual decimal value use the divide operator. you enter this as:

is it possible to get a drop down box for a ready for input formula variable in the BEx Analyzer (not BEx Web!)?
We want to let the users choose scaling factors 1, 1000 or 1000000 (implemented via this formula variable). In the settings of the formula variable you can only choose a default value but there seems to be no option to provide all three factors in a drop down box like the ones for characteristic value variables.
We could prevent other entries in the variable pop up via customer exit (i_step 3) but the business is wishing an F4 input help like the ones for characteristic values.

I ran a secure erase of the hard disk ready for sale of my MBP 2007 (Snow Leopard). But then I needed to input my AppleID and password in order to download and install an operating system (Yosemite). The screen the showed the Welcome opening as it does for a completely new machine. It is ready for a new owner to register and use his or her own AppleID. Will the fact that the OS was downloaded under my AppleID mean that the new owner will still be able to update it as necessary when the time comes?
You can't sell that computer with an OS newer than 10.6.8 on it(or 10.7.5 if you originally got Lion from a thumbdrive and not the Mac App Store.) Any higher version will be tied to your Apple ID.

Need formula for drawing method
I need help figuring out a formula for a
dynamically-generated diagram. Of course the lines will be drawn
using the AS drawing API and I know I will need six coordinates
total (the start point, the moveTo point, the curveTo point, the
anchor point, and the end point) to draw the line.
The position of both start and end points will be dynamic.

So check screen number, screen fields and report name. In case of screen fields, use F1, F9 (technical information), and check the name of the screen field for batch processing (all the way at th bottom of the pop-up). This can differ from actual name of the screen field.
