Needs help in developing project in java

hello sir,
i'm the fianl year student.i have got a computing related fields project. our project Director told told us make any type of project that
has a worth in market.so i'm confusing to take decision please suggest me better it's question of my career.i have concept of java but not so good.what are tips to improve java language rapidly.

Well My instructors final project is: have a little spider eat sleep and spin a web based on user input via a button. What would be kinda cool for you to do would be a java based game something to really impress the instructor. But I am assuming that something that has user input via buttons and measage dialogs would be sufficiant depending on how in depth the class goes.

  • Need help to develop Pythagoras theorem-

    Hi i need help to develop proofs 2,3,4
    of pythagoras theorems in java as demonstrations
    These are applets can anyone help me with it or give me an idea of how to go about developing it -
    the site is the following
    http://www.uni-koeln.de/ew-fak/Mathe/Projekte/VisuPro/pythagoras/pythagoras.html
    then double click on the screen to make it start

    Pardon my ASCII art, but I've always liked the following, simple, geometric proof:
         a                   b
    ---------------------------------------+
    |       |                                |
    a|   I   |              II                |
    |       |                                |
    ---------------------------------------+
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    b|  IV   |              III               |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    ---------------------------------------+It almost goes without saying that I+II+III+IV == (a+b)^2, and II == IV == a*b,
    I == a*a and III == b*b, showing that (a+b)^2 == a^2+a*b+a*b+b^2.
    I hope the following sketch makes sense, stand back, ASCII art alert again:     a                   b
    ---------------------------------------+
    |               .             VI         |
    |     .                 .                |a
    | V                               .      |
    |                                        +
    |                                        |
    |   .                                    |
    b|                                     .  |
    |                                        |
    |                  IX                    |
    | .                                      |
    |                                    .   |b
    |                                        |
    +                                        |
    |      .                                 |
    a|               .                  . VII |
    |  VIII                   .              |
    ---------------------------------------+
                     a                    bThe total area equals (a+b)^2 again and equals the sum of the smaller areas:
    (a+b)^2 == V+VI+VII+VIII+IX. Let area IX be c^2 for whatever c may be.
    V+VII == VI+VIII == a*b, so a^2+b^2+2*ab= c^2+2*a*b; IOW a^2+b^2 == c^2
    Given this fundamental result, the others can easily be derived from this one,
    or did I answer a question you didn't ask?
    kind regards,
    Jos

  • Need help in developing BADI for IT0001

    Hi All,
    I need help in developing BADI for IT0001.
    On IT0001 create or change, there is need to update IT0017 with following data from IT0001
    -Company Code
    -Cost center
    -Business Area
    -Begin and End Date.
    Other fields from IT0017 need to be derived from Position and update in IT0017.
    Please guide me how I can address this. I do not want to go for dynamic action, as it is not getting evoked during background jobs.
    I am new to BADI development and will appreciate step by step instructions.
    Thanks

    Hi,
         follow the below steps to achive
    Steps:
    1.     Execute Business Add-In(BADI) transaction SE18
    2.     Enter BADI name i.e. HRPAD00INFTY and press the display
            button
    3.     Select menu option Implementation->Create
    4.     Give implementation a name such as Z_HRPAD00INFTY
    5.      You can now make any changes you require to the BADI within this
            implementation, for example choose the Interface tab there are 3 methods avialble
    6.     Double click on the method you want to change, you can now enter
            any code you require.
    7.      Please note to find out what import and export parameters a
            method has got return the original BADI definition
            (i.e. HRPAD00INFTY) and double click on the method name
            for example within HRPAD00INFTY contract is a method
    8.      When changes have been made activate the implementation

  • Need help to develop a custom connector

    I need some help on developing the custom connector to Homegrown application and the version i am using is OIM9.0.3
    First of all what are the steps do we need to care while developing a custom connector.
    I can't able to find the process in google to develop the custom connector.
    If you have any data regarding the development of custom connector, plz share to me....
    What are the thing do we need to take care while developing the connector.
    I referred in OIM9.1 version there was an option to develop the Custom connector by using Genric technology, can we create the custom connector by using the GTC feature in OIM 9.1
    early response will be appreciated

    The docs for the new GTC framework are here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10391_01/doc.910/e10360/about.htm#Toc153968019. GTC is useful if you target application exposes standards-based SPML (Service Provisioning Markup Language) user management interfaces, although it sounds like this isn't the case for you.
    You will most likely need to go the traditional route in terms of connector development, which involves building OIM Process Task Adapters to invoke the application API's (I assume they're Java?) and invoking those adapters from within an OIM Provisioning Process.

  • Need help with calculator project for an assignment...

    Hi all, I please need help with my calculator project that I have to do for an assignment.
    Here is the project's specifications that I need to do"
    """Create a console calculator applicaion that:
    * Takes one command line argument: your name and surname. When the
    program starts, display the date and time with a welcome message for the
    user.
    * Display all the available options to the user. Your calculator must include
    the arithmetic operations as well as at least five scientific operations of the
    Math class.
    -Your program must also have the ability to round a number and
    truncate it.
    -When you multiply by 2, you should not use the '*' operator to perform the
    operation.
    -Your program must also be able to reverse the sign of a number.
    * Include sufficient error checking in your program to ensure that the user
    only enters valid input. Make use of the String; Character, and other
    wrapper classes to help you.
    * Your program must be able to do conversions between decimal, octal and
    hex numbers.
    * Make use of a menu. You should give the user the option to end the
    program when entering a certain option.
    * When the program exits, display a message for the user, stating the
    current time, and calculate and display how long the user used your
    program.
    * Make use of helper classes where possible.
    * Use the SDK to run your program."""
    When the program starts, it asks the user for his/her name and surname. I got the program to ask the user again and again for his/her name and surname
    when he/she doesn't insert anything or just press 'enter', but if the user enters a number for the name and surname part, the program continues.
    Now my question is this: How can I restrict the user to only enter 'letters' (and spaces of course) but allow NO numbers for his/her surname??

    *and give me ANY feedback on how I can better this code(program) or if I've done anything wrong from your point of view.*

    Now my question is this: How can I restrict the user to only enter 'letters' (and spaces of course) but allow NO numbers for his/her surname??You cannot restrict the user. It is a sad fact in programming that the worst bug always sits in front of the Computer.
    What you could do is checking the input string for numbers. If it contains numbers, just reprompt for the Name.
    AND you might want to ask yourself why the heck a calculator needs to know the users Name.

    Hi,
    For this kind of problem, I believe you can use the inner class.
    Here's the sample code I hope will help:
    class MyApp{
    B bFrame;
    A aFrame;
    class A extends JFrame{
    public void doSomething(){
    bFrame = new B();
    bFrame.doSomething();
    class B extends JFrame{
    public void doSomething(){
    aFrame = new A();
    aFrame.doSomething();
    If you have further question, you can email me your task sample code at [email protected] and I will solve it for you.

  • Need help for my project

    Hi there
    I need some help with a project. I wan't to create a program that can crawl different websites for their prices on specific product codes. I have these product codes listed in XML format (or another format). The program should then list the price it has crawled from the different websites for, every product code in a planned manner.
    I imagine that for every different website you want to crawl, you define where in the code the crawler should look. E.g.: (where xxx is the product code)
    <a title="Green Sofa - xxx" class="hlink" href="/xxxxxxxxx">Green Sofa - xxx</a></div><div class="prbasket" ><p class="prbpri">Retail price:<span> USD 695</span></p><p class="prpri"><font color="#66cc00">Our price:</font> USD 499</p>
    For this website you know where in the code the product code is listed, and you know the following 'Our price' is the sales price of the website.
    For this specific site you add url1, url2, url3... urlN for the pages you want the program to crawl.
    The output should be similar to something like this:
    Product code Our price: Website1 Website2 Website3
    xxx1 $ $ $ $
    xxx2 $ $ $ $
    xxx3 $ $ $ $
    xxx4 $ $ $ $

    just forget it no one here would write code for you it is you who have to struggle and write some code come back if you have any specific questions regarding the coding or architecture or something like that so [Get Started|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/getStarted/index.html]
    OP didn't ask anyone to code it for him/her
    that said, OP needs to put forth some effort
    you'd think a final year student could demonstate a bit more understanding of how to interact in a community such as this
    i'm also curious to know why a final year student has been given a software project but doesn't know how to program?

  • Need Help For Developing Java Network RPG

    Greetings,
    Did anyone develop any similar game?I'm developing one for my final year project and i need some guidelines on that.
    Thanks for your help in advanced.
    Cheers,
    yc

    Since you are making a 2D game I suppose that speed is not really important. Don't make it too hard on yourself and use objectstreams.
    first thing you need is a class which holds all the variables you want to send (like position, health, whatever) and let it implement the "Serializable" interface.
    next stop: the client side connection
    socket     = new Socket(ipaddress, port);
    obi = new ObjectInputStream(socket.getInputStream());
    obu = new ObjectOutputStream(socket.getOutputStream());and the server side connection:
    ServerSocket s = new ServerSocket(port);
    while(true) { // keep accepting new connections
    socket = s.accept();
    obu = new ObjectOutputStream(socket.getOutputStream());
    obi = new ObjectInputStream(socket.getInputStream());
    }make sure you turn around output and input. The server won't continue unless his output has input on the clientside.
    with the objectoutputsstream you can send the objects:
    obu.writeObject(netData);
    obu.flush();
      // make sure you flushreceiving the object:
    netData = (YourNetData) oi.readObject();so what you need is a client side function that sends objects, a client side thread that handles received objects.
    The easiest way to make a server is making an array of client threads and put the socket and the objectstreams in the thread. The thread can read an incoming object and send it to all clients in the array. This way you never have to change your server, you only have to change the object you send.

  • Need help to develop a leave management system

    Hi All,
    Can someone please guide me how to start with developing a leave management system? I know core java but nothing beyond that. I'd love to read J2EE and do this project.

    For my LMS, requirement is this
    Requirement : User login and after that he would get a homepage. In the homepage, we need to show the details of the leave taken along with option of leave application.
    Similarly an admin shud have option to register the new user and also check his leave status (no of leaves). Shud be able to generate a report for the same.
    A mail shud go to the manager for the leave application from the employee.

    For learning Java EE 5, it is difficult to beat the [Java EE 5 Tutorial|http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/] (PDF).
    You have several options for implementing what you describe. Your web pages could be implemented with [JavaServer Pages|http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bnagx.html] and your login requirement means that you need to think about your [authentication mechanism|http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bncbe.html#bncbn], part of [securing a web application|http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bncas.html]. You also have several options for building reports, including [simple dynamic JSP construction of your reports|http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bnahl.html].
