Hi Experts,
I am Bw consultant.
Issue: Needs to create ‘customer exit’ in a variable.
Query build on a Cube.
In that query the time dimension is the YEAR.  (‘period’ will gives the value for whole year (Not for specific months).)
When we are in January 2008, the report must display the data of year 2007.
When we are in the other months( from Feb'08), the report must display the data of 2008.
Here we are trying to create  “customer exit” on “Period” Variable, for the query.
   Let me say like this for Example:
      ‘Date’  = Sy_datum                  {Assume date is 20080129}
      'Year'    = 'Date'(4)                   {here ‘4’ calls value of the year 2008}
       'Month' = 'Date'+4(2)              {here ‘2’ calls value of the month 01}
If 'Month'  EQ '01'
      0calyear = 'year' -1
Else
      0calyear = 'year'
End if.
I feel the logic mentioned above is correct.But I need the structured ABAP code for this.
Please do the needful and let me give your valuable solution regarding the particular issue.

Try with the below.
data: v_date type sy-datum,
        v_year(2) type c,
        v_month(2) type c,
        v_cal_year(2) type c.
v_year = v_date4).
v_month = v_date+4(2).
If v_Month = '01'
   v_cal_year = v_year - 1.
Else.
   v_cal_year = v_year.
End if.
The above v_date value can be passed from the user exit.

For one Dimension, Ii need to create a variable that is giving me, automaticaly, the Last 12 Months excluding Current Month (same as the 0CML12LM provided by SAP) without any manual entry done by the user via the Variable Entry Screen.
    I don't want to use offset because I don't want to allow any Manual intervention for my users because it is a report start via RRI.

    My problem is that my report is counting Incident per supplier per Month.  We have a Key Figure that is doing the Total of incident with a Vendor Variable.  So, for a given supplier, if there is no incident for the Incident Month, it won't display in the Result Page.  Also, My report is dynamic so I'can not fix a Structure.  On the other hand, I never used Strucutre, so I'm not really aware on how using this and if it will answer my need.
    If you can give me more details, maybe I'll be able if a Structure is my solution.

    Create a variable at universe level,and assigned table must be the table from which you are getting month.
    Now take the object "YTD" into second query
    Merge the Month object and YTD object
    Create a variable for balance,
    =If [month]="YTD" then sum([balance]) else [balance]
    Noe you will get the required output as your requirement,

    I'm moving a data from Oracle to Sql Server with ETL (80 tables with data) and i want to track the number of records that i moving on the daily basis , so i need to create a table in SQL Server, wilth 4 columns , Table name, OracleRowsCount, SqlRowCount,
    and Diff(OracleRowsCount - SqlRowCount) that will tell me the each table how many rows i have in Oracle, how many rows i have in SQL after ETL load, and different between them, something like that:
    Table Name  OracleRowsCount   SqlRowCount  Diff

    (I can add alot of SQL Tasks and variables per each table but it not seems logicly to do that, i tryid to find a way to deal with that in vb but i didn't find)

    According to your description, what you want is an indicator to show whether all the rows are inserted to the destination table. To achieve your goal, you can add a Row Count Transformation following the OLE DB Destination, and redirect bad rows to the Row
    Count Transformation. This way, we can get the count of the bad rows without redirecting these rows. Since the row count value is stored in a variable, we can create another string type variable to retrieve the row count value from the variable used by the
    Row Count Transformation, and then use a Send Mail Task to send the row count value in an email message body. You can also insert the row count value to the SQL Server table through Execute SQL Task. Then, you can check whether bad rows were generated in the
    package by querying this table.

  • How to create a table with a variable

    Hi everyone!
    I have a procedure which receives a table name as a parameter and need to create a table using that name
    For example:
    PROCEDURE REFRESH_REPORTS (table_name varchar2) IS
    BEGIN
    table_name_REPORT := table_name;
    execute immediate 'create table table_name_REPORT .....
    But I don't get this working. I am just adding this procedure as a part of a package which is used for web/online reports.
    Could someone guide me on how I could create this table?
    I was getting errors like invalid table name and I even tried to use a variable which stores the entire sql statement and concatenated with the table name's variable but still that was not working.

    You really, really need to rethink this entire process from the beginning, not just try to shoehorn in something from a current, astoundingly bad, design.

    can you please suggest me how i can get the value in plsql block.

    Having said that, your architecture is probably wrong if you are dynamically creating things in a procedure.
    Why do you need to create them dynamically?

    If it is a custom BADI please check the box available in BADI definition (SE18) attributes.
    Step1 - Check the check box Filter in BADI attributes. So that I will enables the filter field and there you need to choose BUKRS.
    Step2 - By doing step1 system adds one more parameter flt_XX to all the methods available in BADI definition.
    Now you need to pass this variable when you are calling the proxy call in the actual application.
    If it is standard BADI you need to check the filter dependent BADIs so that you can impliment them for specific Countries.

    Can i create a template in Excel and map the data columns to the Excel columns?
    I can create a Oracle PL/SQL package and generate the output, but I want to know if I can achieve the same thing using BI Reports.

    What I did, I had the column titles in the XML file as data, like
    <COL01>Employee Name</COL01>
    <COL02>Employee Number</COL02>
    etc.
    I did it this way because columns were variable, and up to the user to pick. If you have fixed set of columns, you still can include their names in the XML file, this way you will be able to display then as fields on the template.

    Yes, but it only has one generic Date column, no start date and end date. I can't use that twice in the prompt. Although I can specify it to be 'between', but I'm not sure I can pass values to both variables like that.
    Currently I have used Campaign Start Date and Campaign End Date to enter values in calender format to the variables.

    I have been asked to create a report which would categorize each lens type according to month. However each lens type would show number of orders according to number of days.

    Now What I have had a thought in mind is to create a report with First Group being Month, then group each Lens type however not sure how to fit each day and order according to lenstype in that particular month.
    Any ideas how should I create this type of report?

    Hmm... do your have the ability (permissions) to create a view in the source database to help simplify this?  Or even use a SQL command for the datasource of the report?  (Actually, what is you underlying datasource?)
    Otherwise I think you may end up with having to create a lot of formulas to init/add to/display variables for each of the 1 - 9+ shipping days columns.
    If going for the latter, yes, group on month/lens type, and in the group header for the lens type have a formula that initializes 9 variables:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar s0:=0; --counter for zero shipping days
    numbervar s1:=0; --counter for 1 shipping day
    numbervar s2:=0; --counter for 2 shipping days

    i need to create a filter on my report .
    the filter for field contract end date.
    for exammple - the object which i need to create the filters (HDREN_DT -
      Remove records with value < System Date
    ) this is the logic so what i need to do i want to go for customer exit or what
    need to create 2 CKF
    Earliest Doc Header End Date     Calculated KF     Min (HDREN_DT)
    Oldest Doc Header End Date     Calcualted KF     Max (HDREN_DT)
    Can anyone give some idea how can i go with this one.
    i choosen a formula variable with replacement path for the both the fields. whether this option is right or wrong.

    Hi,
    You have correctly identified.
    To achieve the filter on HDREN_DT, you can declare an exit variable & write the code behind. But here I'd suggest implementing logic like Date greater than or equal to System date (instead of removing dates less than System date as it will improve the querying.
    For the 2 CKFs, you can try the formula variable concept.

    Hi,
    If  you assign TMG to the table, it will throw error as unable to display the field on screen. why because it can able to display upto 255 char length only.
    For this requirement you have 2 solutions :
    1) Create multiple fields and your Z table, split the data and store them as required.
    2) Create a TEXT ID and store it as a long text using FM CREATE_TEXT.
    or
    This type of text should be treated as Long Text.
    And the steps are:
    1. Create Text Object Using SE75.
    2. Create Text ID Using SE75.
    3. Now you have to Save the text with FM SAVE_TEXT.
    For example:
    The Most simple solution for it can be that Divide the field REMARKS of size 1000 in multiples of 200 characters like REMARK1, REMARK2....REMARKn.
    Now you can create two FMs :
    zset_data: To Store 1000 char long data in Table
    Here you will divide the data of Variable (type char1024) in multiples of 200 and will store in REMARK1, REMARK2.....
    zget_data: To Get 1000 char long data back from Table
    Here you will concatenate REMARK1, REMARK2..... and will store in Variable of Type char1024.
    This is the best solution if Table is not going to be maintained by Table Maintenance Generator.
