When I drop or add new logfile in my 10g r2 on RHEL, I did not see any error. however when I check the alert log file, I noticed at the same time of dropping or adding the logfile, systen produced three error .trc files in the udumpa and display error message about the " Control autobackup written to DISK device handle '/dbrecovery/flashback/#####BACKUP/autobackup/2006_09_07/o1_mf_s_600514666_2j0covnl_.bkp' " and here is the content of one of trc file, which I do not understood. to me there is no important message. can anyone see something significant?

It doesn't seem that the alert log is complaining about log files. It seems that it has to do something with disk backup.

I'm getting a runtime error when creating a new group on a site collection?

The most possible reason is if your site collection is reached the maximum site quota limit,then there is chance to get the run time error while creating a new group.
In this case,you will get the error while creating/updating the group or while adding the new user/uploading any content.
Also Ensure the group name is not having any special/unsupported characters.

download is corrupt. I finally solved it. I had changed my password on my appleid and had not updated it in my phone. After i got the same error on 3 different desktops i decided the error was in my phone and updated all my settings and the update worked the first time.

Error when add new property to User Profile "General Information" portlet

Portal 5.0.2 .NET 1.1
The following error occurs when:
1. Create new property (Everyone has select access)2. Edit "General Information" User Profile portlet and add the new property, then "Finish"
<property name>: Current user is attempting to save an invalid property.

Don't forget to map the property to User objects in the Global Object Property Map. I suspect that this is the problem.

SCSM Authoring Tool verification error when creating a new property

I am needing to add several new fields to an existing customized ServiceRequest Extended Form. Using SCSM I exported the management pack (as a bundle) and then used PowerShell to export to a .xml. Now when I open the class and try
to create a new property I get an error stating:

The Target attribute value is not valid. Element ....ServiceRequestExtendedForm.Category references a Target element that cannot be found.
I am very new to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you probably want to go back to original sources, rather then exporting from Service Manager, since the export will break any sealing and might cause issues when authoring or resealing.
You'll also need :
a Sealed version of the class extension, since this is going to need to be loaded into the authoring tool before you see the extra properties,
an unsealed copy of the MP that contains the form customization, so you can edit it
the original key used to seal the current customization, so you can seal the upgraded form using the same key so it will upgrade the MP correctly in your production environment.
The specific error you're running into looks like a MP reference error, but it's hard to be sure without seeing the original XML. i'd make sure that you have opened the sealed versions of any other MPs this MP depends upon.

Error when creating a new Organization in Deployment Manager

I am trying to create a new Organization to an existing CRM environment and I keep getting the error below. The user deploying the new Organization has full control on all the security groups and Admin rights on the servers that Host SQL and CRM
application. The CRM environment is 2011 on Premise that has been setup for IFD.
We currently have 2 other organizations that are already in the environment, so the new org would be a third. I am more than glad to provide any firther information that I have to anyone that can help us resolve this issue. I also have a log file that I
saved after the failed creation attempt. I can provide the contents of the log file to anyoen who can help. Its too long to add here.
The section of the log file that shows the error is just above the screen shot. It looks like a deletion error. My queston is why is there an attempt at deleting anything if all I am trying to do is create a new Organization. This is not an import or
upgrade.

Error when adding a new node to RAC 10g

Hi all,
I have a RAC 10g environment test in Linux Red Hat Umbreakble 5 with two nodes. This RAC is fine on 2 nodes.
I want to add a new node (rac3) of the following way:
- The node 1 (rac1) is started and the instance ORCL1 is online.
- The node 2 (rac2) is offline. i.e the machine is off.
- The node 3 (rac3). The machine is on and already configured
So that when I execute the CRS_home\oui\bin\addnode.bat on node 1 and put the information of node 3 (Public node name, Private node name, Virtual host name) and press next I get the following message:
OUI-35000: Fatal cluster error encountered (PRKC-1071 Nodes rac2 did not respond to ping in 30 seconds) - Sure: The machine is off;
My question is: Can´t I add a new node on RAC if a node is off ?

CA error - when adding a new job.

Receive the below error while invoking a job on CA.
when try to add a new job ->select template->Select Environment->Select Initial upgrade->Exception comes

Performed the below action but issue not resolved.
--Make sure that when creating the Environments for the Upgrade, that the correct ids and passwords have been entered. A userid and userid password plus the accessid and accessid password need to be entered. The connectid, many times "People", should not be entered where accessid is supposed to be entered.
--Reinstall the Change Assistant
--Be sure that the accessid and password being used is valid.
--Be sure that there is not an & character in PSRELEASE.Releaselabel column. Change this to a text 'and' if you find one there.

Workaround:
DB2 customers running Change Assistant must set the variable 'override_connection_reset' to the value 1 in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PeopleSoft\PeopleTools\Release8.40\Profiles\Default\Database Options
When they are done using Change Assistant, they must change the value to 0 before they use any other PeopleSoft 2 tier applications.
That look a lot like your issue :)
Try setting the registry key value as defined above to see if it solves your issue.

Error when creating a new CrystalReport.rpt file.

I get the following error when attempting to add a new CrystalReport to my project:
Database Connection Error: ‘ADO Error Code: 0x80040e14
Source: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0
Description: Line 1: invalid procedure number (0). Must be between 1 and 32767.
SQL State: 42000
Native Error: 1005 [Database Vendor Code: 1005 ]’
This is happening as soon as I select the database:
It asks me to enter the database password, then crashed out with this error, without giving me the chance to even select any procedures.
There are procedures there, and the user account used to log in has access to them.
I'm using Visual Studio 2010.

Database Vendor Code: 1005 is being passed from the database client through the report engine - unmodified. E.g.; look for the error in your database documentation.

Failed to open the connection. Details: [Database Vendor Code: &lt;vendor code number&gt;].
Compare the version of the client you are using and "other people" are using.
