Nettable option in Stock Warehouse

Hi Experts,
What exactly does the nettable option do in the Warehouses setup screen?  The help screen states only "Select this check box if you want the warehouse to be involved in the MRP process."
Thanks
Greig

Hi Greig,
You may check SAP Note Number: 896231 and these threads first to see:

  • Date option in stock reversing program(SAP NOTE 175842)

    Hi Gurus,
We have prepared a program with SAP NOTE 175842 for reversing stock posting. My client has done GR in march 09 and quality peoples have posted to unrestricted stock in same month. Now because of some reason stores person want to cancel GR. So we have reversed the  posting for the lot in April using the programme. Now when stores person try to cancel GR in month of march system is giving error "Deficit of SL St.in QI prev. 14.800 MT ".Because we have reversed the posting from unrestricted to quality in april and we are trying to cancel GR in March system is giving above error.
Is there any settings such that in stock reversing program we can enter the date, so that on a particular date we can reverse the stock.Because in current situation we can enter lot no. only or is there any other solution to overcome this situation
    Regards
    Amit

    hi amit
Yes system will not allow you to cancel GR for March when Reversal stock posting was done in April.
Because it will consider the status of stock when GR was made.
Which movement type you have used for reversal From Unrestricted to Quality.
Was it the activation of 08 & then 322.
If it is so then cancellation of GR will not take place through original GR document(as it is in unrestricted), It will give error msg if you give reference of same.
Even GR can not be cancelled based on 08 inspection lot as 08 is not wrt PO.

  • Purch. group optional in Stock Transport Order

    Hello,
Is there a way to set the purchasing group as optional?.
I've gone through all Field Selection Keys and purchasing group is set as optional, but at transaction level the system is showing an error message ME 083.
    Best regards,
    Nelson

    Hi,
this is one of the main fields that SAP expects to be filled in on EVERY PO (STO) and so even though it looks like you can make it optional, the code in  the program makes is mandatory.
PLEASE don't try and make it optional, there will be many programs that expect data to exist in this field and these programs would start to fail if it was missing.
Can't you simply use the defaults so that it does not have to be keyed each time?
this is easy emough to do and FAR safer.

  • Change Valuated Stock option in Project Defintion.

    Hi
our company is using Finance and PS. Now we want to implement
logistics. for that we need to activate the option Valuated Stock. How
can we do the for existing project definition and wbs element.

    Hi,
For existing projects, which are maintained with 'No project stock/Non-valuated stock' u can't change to 'Valuated stock'.
When you create a new project, initially u can chose whether to manage with valuated stock or No stock/non valuated stock. Once u save the project, u can't make any changes

  • Zero Quantity, Negative Stock Value in Inventory Audit Report

    Hi all,
The Cumulative Quantity of an item has become zero but the Cumulative Value in the Inventory Audit Report displayed as -150. How to adjust it to make it zero?
    Kindly advise, thanks.
    Regards,
    Xavier

    HI Xavier,
Mentioned below is teh detail from the note mentioned by J
    Symptom
In the Stock Audit Report, generated for a specific warehouse, a value is shown in the 'Cumulative Value' column even if the item does not have quantity.
    Cause
    Consulting
    Solution
The 'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' setting in the Administration -> System Initialisation -> Company Details -> Basic Initialisation tab determines the information displayed in the Stock Audit Report.
'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' is selected.
If this option is selected, each warehouse defined in SAP Business One maintains its own cost. This warehouse cost is calculated whenever there is a movement of the item in the specific warehouse.
When stocks are issued, the item cost will be from the specific warehouse where the stocks are issued.
The Stock Audit Report should be viewed per warehouse in order to determine the accurate valuation of the item. The option 'Group by Warehouse' can be used for this purpose.
'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' is NOT selected.
If this option is not selected, a single cost is maintained for the item per company. This cost is determined by the movement of the item within all warehouses.
When stocks are issued, the single item cost determined on the company level will be used.
When the item cost is calculated per company, a stock value may remain in a warehouse which has zero quantity. However, since the cost is managed across all warehouses this is ok, as long as there is an overall positive quantity.
If the valuation of the item is required, the Stock Audit Report should be run for all warehouses and not for a specific warehouse. If the report is viewed per warehouse it may not provide an accurate cumulative value of the stock.
If only the quantity in a specific warehouse needs to be checked then the report can be run per warehouse.
    Example:
    1. Create new item with standard price 10 in all warehouses, since price is managed per company and not per warehouse.
    2. Create goods receipt for this item to two warehouses - quantity 10 to warehouse 01 and quantity 10 to warehouse 02.
    3. Create material revaluation, select warehouse 01 (only one warehouse can be selected for posting purposes), and change the price from 10 to 5.
    4. Create goods issue from warehouse 02 with issued quantity 10.
    5. Run the audit report for this item and:
    a) for all warehouses -> cumulative quantity is 10, cumulative value is 50;
    b) for warehouse 01 -> cumulative quantity is 10, cumulative value is 0;
    c) for warehouse 02 -> cumulative quantity is 0, cumulative value is 50.

  • Reg: Negative Stock

    Hii,
How does negative stocks works in SAP, here in Material Master for a selected material in plant 1000 and SL 0001, i have checked on negative stock option in Plant/ Storage 2 view.
while issuing the stock in MIGO, it is not allowing and it is givng an error with deficit qty not allowed.
Can u pls guide me, how does it should make it work.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Muralidharan

    Hi muralidharan ,
A negative stock occurs when you post a goods issue(GI) witha quantity that is larger than the book inventory.Negative stock balances may be required if,for organizational reasons, you enter goods issue before the coreesponding goods receipts, and the material is already physically located in the warehouse.Negative stocks always indicate that physical movments have to be entered in the system at the later stage.
So that you can work with negative stock inSAP system, you have to specifically allow this in customizing for the affected material. In Customizing for inventory mangerment, you will find the settings for negative stock under Goods issue/Transfer postings>Allow Negative stocks..The path for this is
    SPRO>Materials mangement>Inventory management and physical inventory>Goods issue/Transfer postings>Allow negative stocks
Negative stocks are allowed at valuation area level and storage location level. At plant level, you can set the special stocks for which negative stocks is allowed.
For example the special stocks for which negative stock is allowed are
    >Vendor consignment
    >Stock of material provided to vendor
    >Consignment stock at customer
    >Sales order stock
    >Project stock
    >Returnable packaging with customer
    >Returnable transport packaging
If you have negative stock for a material ,this is shown in the material master record on the accounting view, the plant stock view, and the storage location stock view. The negative stock is also displayed in the stock lists.
To determine for which materials you have negative stocks, use the warehouse stock for material report. From SAP Easy acess screen, choose Logistics>Materials management>Inventory management>Environment>Stock>Warehouse stock(MB52)
You can execute the selection, for example, for several materials for a storage location that allows negative stocks. So that only the materials with negative stocks are displayed, choose the Only display negative stocks indicator on the selection screen.
    Hope this will help you

  • Calculating opening and closing stocks at a plant (on specific dates)

    Hi,
I am to develop an ABAP-report. On the selection screen, I'll have plant, material, and a date range (date_1 and date_2). The report should show opening stock on date_1, closing stock on date_2, and then there is more segregation based on movement types (along with both stock-quantity and stock-value). I am stuck at how-to's around calculating opening (and closing) stock on a particular date.
Secondly, transaction MB5B has 3 options : batch stock, valuated stock, special stock ... One of these options uses table MBEW and other uses table MARD ... Which (all) tables will I need to use so as to get both stock-quantities and stock-values ?
    Please advise. Thank you.
    Regards,

    Hi
    for second question answer is
you need to consider all batch stock, valuated stock, special stock ... One of these options uses table MBEW and other uses table MARD to get both stock-quantities and stock-values
    hope it helps

  • How to exclude stock of a particular storage type from collective availabil

How to exclude stock of a particular storage type from collective availability check in MDVP.

you can set the storage location as 'Storage location stock excluded from MRP' value '1' in the field
Sloc MRP indicator , in MRP view $ when you enter a storage location accessing the material master.
Thsi is the only way to exclude the storage location, you have to do it per each material and also it is excluded from the MRP.
With this option the stock is not considered in ATP.
IF you need the storage location in the MRP, then you should consider the use of MRP Areas.
With the MRP Areas you define which plants/storage locations belong to each MRP area and the ATP is performed for eah area with the stocks that exist in each of them.
Please if the issue is solved set the thread  as answered and provide the points to the useful replies.

When you deploy objects from the Design Center, if there are any unsaved design changes, then Oracle Warehouse Builder prompts you to save these changes by displaying Oracle Warehouse Builder Warning dialog box. Click Save to commit unsaved design changes. Click Cancel to terminate the deployment.
If you do not set this option, then Oracle Warehouse Builder saves any design changes before the deployment job.

  • Stock is not get posted in Quality to Unrestircted.

    Hello Experts.
In our case Warehouse management is active. after Usage decision of any FG lot , stocks moves to QI to UR and generates delivery order in background and warehouse user does PGI against the delivery.
For some batches system is behaving erratically, sometimes system partially posts the stock QI to UR and sometimes whole stock in not moving QI to UR.
    Thanks in Advance !

    Hi Rahul,
After UD, System automatically creates Transport order (TO) for posting change notice if its a complete stock posting, on the other side in case of partial posting system does not create automatic TO.
Check the complete procedure followed by WM person.

  • Inventory Management : Total stock turnover

    Hello,
Can anyone tell me the logic for calculating Total Stock turnover & the Average quantity of total stock in an Inventory Management scenario.
    Thanks & Regards
    Indraneel

    Hi
    1. Warehouse Inventory Turnover of Total Stock  Specifies how often average total stock has been consumed. (Total consumption quantity / Total stock- average quantity)
    2. Average Total Stock Warehouse Inventory Turnover Specifies how often average total stock has been consumed based upon the average total usage. (Average total consumption quantity / Total stock u2013 average quantity)

  • SBO 2007A PL46 - Inventory Audit Report same warehouse exist for twice

    Hi All,
Is anyone encounter the same error? As when i trying to generate the Inventory Audit Report for all the warehouses and check the option "Group By Warehouses", i get the results that the same warehouse are appear twice in the report. As for the transactions detail of the warehouse are being split into two portions ... BUT it does not happens to all the items ...
The thing is when i trying to generate the report for an item with same parameter settings EXCEPT to select only single warehouse, then the warehouse is not being split into two ...
Anyone have the idea? I had did some researches in SAP Notes, found there is a similar case for the above error, but it is happened to SBO 2007B and being resolve in PL16 and above.. but cannot find any thing for 2007A about this issue...
Appreciate if anyone of you can provide any feedback on this ...

    Hi,
Have you checked SAP Note 1415496?  If that applies to your error, it is a bug.
SAP will deliver patches only for selected releases at its own discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the implementation.

  • Maintaining Item Stock Project wise.

    Hi All,
I am implementing SBO 2005 B for the Project base company. They get the order & each order is treated as a Project.
Now the question is material tracking is required Project wise i.e. which item is available & under which Project.
    Scenarios are:
    1. Project wise stock should be available.
    2. Transferring the Stock from one project another (i.e. if material is not required for the particular project)
    3. At the time of delivery the item should reduce the stock from the Particular Project as selected.
In all the related transaction at line level I am capturing the Project code.
Currently work around planned is to maintain the Stock warehouse wise i.e. for each Project a separate warehouse is to be created. (In this case can we make the warehouse inactive after the project is completed, so that it will not be available in any transaction)
Kindly let me know the details & solution for above.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Yogesh Jadav.

    Dear Yogesh,
I would like to throw light on a couple of things you want to achieve.  Certainly Projects are a great way to handle AR and AP transactions.
Since this is also extending to inventory in your case, adding Warehouses for each project can probably work but you should also consider the long term impact on the Business One application.  Let us say you have 100 projects in a month, will you scenario require creating 100 warehouses.
If so, managing warehouses would become a daunting task.
If possible please share with my a little more in details the inventory side of business and I shall be glad to help you.
    Best wishes

  • CKMM for special stock.

    Hi all,
We plan to change price determination of materials from 2 to 3, new price control = S, using CKMM.
I noticed that there is an option to choose special stock in part "Restrict Material Stock". I have searched SAP notes and found that this option is used for changing price determination for special stock only, as special stock is not been affected by CKMM.
But the strange thing is when I mass changed materials in testing system using only option "Stock material" (NOT special stock), even materials in special stock were changed. I have checked several times and I am pretty sure, that CKMM affected material in special stock as well, without choosing option "Special stock".
Could you please explain why this option of choosing special stock is needed? Maybe I missed something?
    Best regards,
    Linh.

    Hi Van,
This option (Special Stock) is related to Sales Order Stock Valuation or Project Stock Valuation.
    Hope it helps.

  • Handling Consignment Stock at Customer Location

    Hi Experts,
    Please advise how to handle consignment stock at customer location in SAP B1 2005B, the situation is in this way;
The customer pays for the goods but the delivery is a consignment shipment.
    Regards,
    Shakeel

    Hi Shakeel,
We handle this in the following way:
(only works well if you do not have too many customers wanting CS)
    To summarise
    1) Created new BP Account spcificly for CStock for Partner wanting consignment stock.
    2) Order for Consignment stock entered on new account, delivered and invoiced (invoice never sent to Customer) but you have a delivery note.
    3) Balance on Cstock BP account credited back to 0 but the stock is credited back to a new stock warehouse (e.g. CS001).  customer now has stock and you have a record of what has been sent in location CS001
    4) Cutomer notifies usage of stock.
    5) Manual invoce raised on Actual BP account for consumed stock against warehouse CS001 (warehouse entered on invoice line) we also change payment terms for CS stock invoices.
    6) CS0001 Warehouse not been reduced by invoice qty and you have and invoice to send to the consumer.
There are one or two floors in the procedure. eg handling changes in cost of stock.
Happy to send you our procedures is you put an email on your business card.
    Thanks,
    Mike
