New and enhanced or changed function modules in Ecc6.0 compare to 4.6C

Hi all Experts,
Now i am at the middle phase of my upgrade project. How can i list module wise (like SD, FI, MM) function modules which modified or newly came to ecc 6.0 or deleted in ecc?
I already visited the sap site and taken the delta functions. but its not having this function modules.
where i can find and list?

DOWNLOAD is obsolete FM in ECC 6. To get the same functionality , we need to use
CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>FILE_SAVE_DIALOG method (It provides the File selection feature)
and
GUI_DOWNLOAD function module.(It downloads the internal table from program to presentation server)
Please see the example below:

Upgrade: Finding ALL obsolete function modules in ECC6

Hello everyone,
Is there a way to find ALL obsolete function modules in ECC6?
I have seen a few web pages posting a small list of obsolete function modules but they are not complete.
I have also tried querying table TFTIT for short text such as 'OBSOLETE' and 'Do not use'. However, some obsolete function modules do not leave any clue in the description at all such as WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT.
However, if you go to SE37 to view WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT, you will notice that the SAP screen displays it as 'Function obsolete' under the General Data tab.
I have tried to debug the SE37 transaction to see which flag determines if a function is obsolete but I was not able to find it.
Any one has any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Enhancement points option: Function modules or BADI

Hi, I am on ECC 6.0 and I need to validate and set some requirement in customer sales area data when user input the document output message in Documents tab strip screen 7003 of sapmf02d in transaction XD01 or XD02.
I found that there is function module EXIT_SAPMF02D_001 that I probably can use to create an implicit enhancement point to validate table T_KNVD or I can use BADI customer_add_data. Can someone suggest which way is better and why? I am new to this so could someone show me screen by screen on how to create and implement BADI.
I am confusing about should I create a ZBADI or using existing BADI customer_add_data. If I use existing BADI how can I add my own method with my own code.

I have a customer document screen 7326 (Customer Master Subscreen SD Documents in program SAPMF02D). What I want is when user click save, I want to do some validation on the output message that they enter and issue some warning or error messages.
I am on ECC 6.0 so I can create a BADI from Enhancement spot not from SE18. SAP has a BADI called CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA with class CL_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA and interface IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA.
When I create a ZBADI_CUST, which interface class I put in the IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA
or a ZIF_EX_XX so that I can create my own method? How does the BADI get called when I am in transaction XD02 and click the save button? Could you kindly show me step by step the procedure.

Help in enhancing CRM logon function module

Hello all,
We have a situation where in the past we have allowed the creation of multiple Business Partners sharing the same e-mail address. We are about to close this loophole but we have this as a master data issue for some existing Customers/Business PArtners.
Currently, our CRM Webshop only uses e-mail address and password for login verification (not using Business Partner/Customer number).
We would like to enhance the webshop logon to include customer number as well ie. We want to determine which customer number associated with the ambiguous e-mail address is used. I have attempted to identify which function module is involved by inserting an endless WHILE loop into the following , but none of them seems to be called :

Hi Pooja,
Please follow the below steps to create a function module :
1. Goto Transaction code : SE37.
2. Create a Function Group first.
   a) From the Menu Bar Choose Goto -> Function groups -> Create group.
   b) Specify the function group name and a short text.
   c) Choose Save.
When you create a new function group, the system automatically creates a main program containing two includes. Like any other programs and includes, you can display them in the Repository Browser.
3. Now create a Function Module.
4. Enter the function's name in the field Function module.
5. Choose Create.
6. In the Enter function group dialog box, enter the function group to which you want to assign the function module.
7. In The Attributes Tab select Remote Enabled Module (since you want a RFC function module ).
8. Give the Import and Export parameters and exceptions(if any).
9. Write the functioning part of the fuction module in the Source code tab.
10. Save and Activate your function Module.
Now go ahead and use your function module where ever you want.

When change Function Module, how to ensure JAVA sees it

I added a new TABLE to a remotely-callable Function Module. I added a new table to the "TABLES" tab of the function module. The table is then populated by the code in the FM.
I now want the JAVA code to be able to access this new TABLE. I am using the "adaptive RFC" model to make calls to SAP.
After making a change such as this, do I need to
1. stop and start the JRA factories?
2. stop and start the J2EE java application?
3. stop and start the whole server?

2. stop and start the J2EE java application? If you have used Enterprise Connector then Re Impor the Model

Adding a new conditon on head via function modul?

Hi,
is there a way to add a condition to an order via function module? I mean in customizing we have maintained the calc scheme (and everything else) and assign it to the order. What we want is to add the new condition type to the head of the order via function module. The scenario is as follows:
We create an order and have on the header a field for a value. If you type a value in the field and press enter the condition should be created and calculatetd. The result is given in the condition tab of the order on header level.
We try to not do a modifictaion. therefore i am looking for a function module. Is there someone who could help?

Why can't this be done by the pricing configuration?
There are also pricing user exits available, which are not modifications and exist for this purpose exactly (i.e. when for some reason configuration alone is not enough). See the list here:

Why Service Call and why not call Function module Directly in WD ABAP

Hi,
I have created a Webdynpro applications and the logic requires calling avrious Function modules.
Do I need to create Service Call for each Function module or call them directly.
It would be great if you can suggest me under what cases I need to opt for Service call
For example, if I use 'RP_CALC_DATE_IN_INTERVAL', do I need to use Service call or call function module directly.

The Service Call is really meant to be a wizard/time saver. It has the advantage that it can generate matching context nodes/attributes for the interface of the Function Module you are calling. However everything that the service call does can also be created by hand.
Personally I'm not a fan of what the service call wizard generates. Its good as a time saver or for beginners, but I find I prefer to touch up the code it generates anyway. I much prefer to create a nice reusable model class with its own unit test and then consume this model class (with the service call wizard) from WD. This model class might contain one or more function module calls depending upon what logic I need to access.

Any example to import and export itab to function module

as the table parameter in function module is obsolete, please advise an example on how to pass in an internal table
and return back the result in an internal table as well.
for example, i have itab1 and itab2. By using table parameters i got the following code. Please advise alternative way by using import and export.

Difference between Import and Export parameters in Function Module

Hi All,
I am unclear about the import and export parameters, when i create a function module. Can anyone explain abt this. However when i call the function module in any program the import parameters in Function module are displayed as exporting in program amd the export parameters as importing.
Any help on this would be appericiated.

Import parameter in FM is the value u provide to FM for processing.
export is the value u get from FM after processing.
when u call a FM in a progam the import parameter will appear as Export bcos u r giving value to the FM.
and u r getting value from FM in import parameter(bcos u r importing).

Debugging Classes and methods in a Function Module

Folks
While debugging a Function Module, I want to know which classes and methods are being called as part of this FM and want to put a breakpoint in this Class method and check the details of variables in this methods. How do I accomplish this ?
Is the hierarchy that - FM will have classes which will have methods or is it something different ?

Goto SE24->Give class name as CL_EXITHANDLER->Display->double click on get_instance mathod->Now u will go inside the method->Now put break point on the cl_exithandler.Now go to any transaction code ( se37) and pass dat..U will see that it will be stopped on the break point which u set on the cl_exithandler...
than can debug further.

Sending email and alert notifcation using function module

Hi All,
I am trying to send email and alert notification messages using function modules in CRM. I am unable to send mail using 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'. Getting a short dump message "dictionary mismatch". If anyone knows any FM which can be used for sending mails, please let me know. I also want to send alert messages using some FM. Please let me know any FM in this case as well.
