New Battery not working

I have a Toshiba Satellite L755-S5244 with windows 7 reinstalled from the disk on it, I have had 3 batteries sent from  laptopbatteryhq to me and when I plug them in, the computer does not want to turn on with or without the AC power adapter.
The new battery fits the terminals and is the correct voltage.
Is there any special driver or something I need to have to make this work?

Satellite L755-S5244 (PSK1WU-05L004)
There's more to it than voltage and fit.
The spec above calls for a PA3818U-1BRS 6-cell battery..
If you go to Toshiba's battery finder and plug in part number PSK1WU-05L004, you get the same result.
There's also a 12-cell battery.

  • New Battery not working, it says its charged 100%

    Hy.
I just bought a new replacement battery for my Macbook Pro the previous battery was from the same seller. It worked fine than i replaced it with the same new battery. But when turned on, in status bar it shows 100%, power source adapter but when i unplugged it the computer shuts off, like instantly.
Any idea of this problem or is something with software.

  • N82 new battery not working as expected

    Hi
I bought a new N82 BP-6MT battery. Now I see when the battery drops 1 bar from full, it skips through all the other bars and goes to only 1 bar remaining! This happens especially when I use a power hungry application, like games or GPS navigation.
Is there something I can do about it? Is the battery faulty?

My New Macbook pro i7, during update, black out, when restart, battery not working. connect with AC adapter, Mac auto starting up, and battery not charge, disconnect the AC adapter, Mac cut off.
This just new one, and we do not have store in our country. I bought this from Austrilia store in Brisbane. Please assis me how to reset this matter, as if I need sent back to store may need spend lots of money on the air tikets.

    Hi Meck PNG,
although it seems to be a firmware or software problem (just after you updated), I think it could be a problem with the charger. It could be the connector, did you clean the connector and the Magsafe Power Port (compressed air/ soft brush). If that doesn't solve the problem, visit the apple store, you still are having guarantee (I suppose).

  • Battery not working for 7 hours

battery not working for 7 hours.. it working only for 3 hours or 4 hours

I'm sorry, got confused. You're not going to get 7 hours on your battery. Apple says "Up to 7 hours". That means they got 7 hours under optimum circumstances and with certain usage. You need to keep your screen brightness as low as you can live with. Minimum music and video. Check some email, a little office type stuff. Forget games. You might get close but you won't get 7 hours.
In the small print of their adds Apple spells out exactly how much of what they did to get 7 hours.

  • HT3964 Installed a new battery for a Macbook 2,1 New battery not charging. Battery symbol shows (Not charging) and replace battery. Green LED on magsafe connection. Disconnection results in an instant shutdown.

I have just installed a new Battery after the old one showed (Not Charging) and when you clicked on this icon the dropdown"condition replace now". Problem now is the computer still shows the same message in the top bar (Not Charging) and the dropdown also shows "condition relace now". the magsafe show the greem LED i.e not charging, but providing power. If you disconnect the magsafe the computer powers off instantly confirming we have power. I have carried out resetting the SMC controller and still no change. Tested the standby voltage on the magsafe pins etc, all in spec. What should I do now, as I don't want to keep spending more and more. Bellow is the info from the system profiler.

  • Battery not working properly after upgrading to 10.8.5

    Hi guys,
    i have upgraded recently to OS X 10.8.5 and now battery charge is always 0% and battery charging light in green state; system is indicating "replace now" as battery condition;
    the thing is that, before the upgrade, even if battery was not lasting more then 50 minutes (400 and more recharging cycles), it was fine;
    now when I plug the power cable and boot the laptop, it seems is trying 3 times to boot;
I did check and I have the latest SMC firmware; trying to reset it as described in
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    did not work.
I suppose i have to bring it to the support but anyone with a similar issue?
    Thanks
    G.

    Thanks for your reply;
yes, the update raised is probably picking up that my battery is not anymore in good condition; as it is indicating  "replace now" as condition and Apple documentation states:
Replace Now: The battery is functioning normally but holds significantly less charge than it did when it was new. You can continue to use the battery until you replace it without harming your computer.
Saying "functioning normally but holds significantly less charge", I would expect the battery to keep at least the 50 minutes of charge (as before the upgrade); but now is not re-charging at all (0% always and green light status); and the consequence is that as soon as I unplug the power cable, the laptop will die. So I still believe there was something with the upgrade and the SMC firmware (my mac is a MacBookPro.8.2 early 2011).
    Thanks
    G.

  • Why would new battery not charge?

I have an iPhone 5 with a 1 year history of good behavior.  I recently transferred my Sony-manufactured battery (date code=08/2014) to my daughter's iPhone 5 so that she could make an outbound airplane flight with a functioning phone.
There was evidence that daughter's battery had died, not been subjected to a bad or uncertified charger.  It would not charge on my known good chargers.  Her Lightning port was not full of lint.  After I transferred my good battery to her phone, her phone worked fine and she was on her way.
I discarded her suspect battery and installed a new one in my phone. Acquired from a well known supplier of batteries, t was a Sony-manufactured battery with a date code nearly identical to mine.  My phone booted up fine and showed 45% cell charge.  As the hours passed, the state of charge gauge indicated showed a battery of normal endurance.
However, at the end of the day this new battery will not accept a charge in my phone.
I am using the same known good chargers that I used previously.  I am an experienced iPhone disassembler.  My Lightning port is not "linted-up".  I admit that Apple's fine-pitch PCB connectors are a challenge even for experienced disassemblers but I believe that this battery transplant went OK.
    Any ideas?
If I did, in fact, damage the battery connector during transplant, wouldn't the phone have squawked error messages before refusing to charge.  There were no error messages or hints that the battery transplant had problems.

So, to clarify, you've opened up the iPhone, and replaced the battery yourself?
Are you an Apple Authorized Service Technician?
Apple doe snot supply batteries to third-parties.  Any iPhone battery you acquired is either:
    A) Counterfeit
    B) Stolen
    C) Salvaged from another unit.
Additionally, unless you are an AAST and were using an Apple-supplied battery, your device warranty and support is permanently voided.

  • Has anyone had their iphone 4 die on them? Mine is just 2 yrs old and won't switch on, tried all the remedies, reboot, tried to connect and reboot via itunes, new battery--nothing works

Hias anyone had their iphone 4 completely die on them? Mine won't switch on, I have tried using the power key with the home key, tried connecting it via usb cable to itunes, tried new battery- nothing has worked. The phone is just 2 yrs old this month, and I haven't dropped it or anything. I have never had a phone break on me before in almost 20 yrs of having mobile phones- I've had to resort to using a 7 yr old Nokia, which I used to love but it's not the same as my iphone!!

If you have attempted the reset, which is holding the home button and sleep/wake button, was it still connected to the computer? Have you tried to do that when not connected. You stated it never came on, how long did you hold the buttons together? If you cannot get it to connect to iTunes then you would not be able to restore the device. You can see if you can put the device into Recovery Mode by following the instructions in this support document. If that does not work, then you are correct, make an appointment at the Apple Store. If you can't update or restore your iOS device

  • IPhone 4S battery not working after DIY repairs

I have a three year old 4S that I dropped and shattered the screen. It's already had a new screen and a new battery so I wasn't bothered about replacing the screen myself. After replacing it (and the lock button), the phone was all fine. But then it started to randomly turn off and only power up when it was plugged into the wall. When I did plug it in, the apple logo would come up for a few minutes, then turn black, then the apple logo would come back. After a few hours it would show the charging symbol then come back on with full battery, and it would all be fine. But last week it did it and it's completely stuck on that apple logo mode now. So this led me to think it might be the battery. I ordered a new one (for £12) and it doesn't work, which probably shouldn't be surprising. With this battery, I put it in and it came up with the charging symbol again, but it just cycles through this apple logo symbol to black screen thing again, BUT it does this on battery as well as while charging. My question is: should I spend money on a GOOD new battery, or is the phone completely useless? I don't want to spend a lot to find out it's not going to work. FIY: the phone doesn't show up in iTunes, it is however completely functional with no other broken parts, there was no damage to the battery whatsoever.
    Thanks

  • X220i battery not working, starting up on its own

Background: I've had my x220i for a bit over 2 years and never had a problem with it.  Suddenly a couple of weeks ago it completely died for no reason.  It was fine one day, and the next morning when I tried to wake it from sleep state, the screen went on but was frozen.  Nothing changed that, including long-pressing the power button, so I removed the battery and that turned off the screen.  Then it wouldn't turn back on again no matter what I did (I tried things I found online, including removing the battery and pressing the power button 11 times, which has apparently worked for a lot of other people).  I took it to get repaired, and they replaced the motherboard.  When they did that, it was able to start up but the keyboard and battery weren't working.  They replaced the keyboard because it's still under warranty, but not the battery.
Battery: The computer identifies the battery and it charges, but when I unplug the laptop it turns itself off and doesn't seem to draw any power from the battery, considering when I turn it back on the battery still says it's fully charged.  The battery lasted about 4-5 hours with no charge before all this happened.  The repair people said they checked the battery's connections to the laptop and it all seems fine, but I'm not convinced it's not a connection issue.  However, I don't know what else to tell them to check.  I don't want to order a new battery only to find that that doesn't solve the problem, but I will if there aren't other ideas about what to check.
Startup: When I shut down the computer but keep it plugged in, it's been restarting itself.  When it's unplugged, it starts itself as soon as I plug it in.  Today when I plugged it in it started itself, but the screen went black before the login page.  After a long press of the power button, it went to sleep, and then I pressed the power button again and it went straight to the login screen.
Does anyone have ideas about what could be going on, or what I could have the techs look into further?

Who did you get to repair it?
Is there any activity in Power Manager? When its charging it should tell you the amperage that's going through. Being stuck at 0.0 means a bad mainboard charging circuit but they apparently replaced it.
My question is how old is the battery and what is it's charge cycles?

  • DO I NEED TO UPDATE MY BIOS FOR A NEW BATTERY TO WORK?

I bought a new battery on ebay to replace my old battery and adapter because my computer wasnt charging and didnt know if it was the adapter or battery. The adapter was fine, it powered my laptop, but the battery has never been able to charge.  When I contacted the seller, he said to update my BIOS. and to power up my laptop and choose start battery calibratation and update battery to known.   I've read not to update the BIOS unless it is neccasary.  What do you say?

Hello Dawn, welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you've replaced the battery for your notebook and are now having issues with it charging. I will try to assist you with this.
I recommend following this document for any troubleshooting. It will also guide you threw calibrating the battery. Battery Does Not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge.
As there is no mention of updating the BIOS in that document, I don't recommend doing so unless deemed necessary later on.
I hope this is able to help you and answer the questions you had.

  • New battery not charging and no power supply reported

The battery for my G4 17inch powerbook had expired and a new one was needed. A brand new battery has been purchased and inserted into the machine. With the old battery the charger would go green then quickly amber before going off. With the new battery the light never comes on and in the battery info in the operating system it is listed as a new battery with 1 charge but the power supply section is not listing the power as connected. However with no batterys inserted the power supply will power and run the machine.
Can anyone offer any advise of something I could try or is it likely to be a dead laptop / charging circuit?
    Thanks

There's 4 components in the charging circuit: power adapter, DC-in card, battery, and logic board. If you can run on power without the battery, and does not run when you insert a battery, that suggests that the DC-in board may be OK. So ... power adapter works, assume DC-in card works, new battery assume it works ... if you accept those assumptions, then you have a logic board issue.
