Hi,
These days mostly basis people talk about HANA and Cloud computing.

  • How to get murrine dust theme to work? (new concept theme for ubuntu)

    hello!
    i just want to try and install the new concept theme for ubuntu - DustTheme!
    but i don't get it to work. it uses the murrine-engine - but when i want to select it via gtk-chtheme or gtk2_prefs it does not sets the colors or anything else. when i hit apply, the standard ugly gtk-theme will be selected.
    anyone here who actually uses the theme?
    more information:
    DustTheme Ubuntu Wiki
    installed packages:
    gtk-engine-murrine 0.53.1
    also tried: gtk-engine-murrine-svn rev 94
    please help, thanks...
    bye iggy

    Hrm, I'm not quite sure what you mean.  I don't see "profile" anywhere in the gtkrc - everything seems to be labeled as "style" already.

  • Want to learn new concepts, Help...

    Hi
    I am good in oracle up to version 7.x.
    After 7.x there are many new concepts have come in
    8, 8i, 9i, 10g ...
    Coming to D2K, upto forms5.0,reports3.0 I am OK, again
    later versions 6, 6i, 9i, etc...
    How do I train my self on these new concepts right from
    table partitioning to all new concepts?
    I am looking for some sort of documents which will have examples for practicing.. Please guide me in this
    Thanks
    Sai

    The various new features guides on http://tahiti.oracle.com are probably good places to start looking. Most will have an example or two for many of the newer features.

  • New concept performance

    Hi, all
    Can you describe difference in performance when using 3.x emulated and migrated DS and old and new concept IS?
    It is very important for us because we start new project on 2004s, and should choose Data flow concept.
    Loads of large amount of data are supposed.

    In general, I would choose the new data flow concept as it has tons of benefits over the old concept. The performance while loading, in general, is more parallelized with the new data flow, so you will generally get a ton better performance. You can run some tests if you need numbers, but I think you'll find the new data flow concept a ton better to work with.

  • New concept of attributes

    hi experts
    I am digging into my system and came through one interesting modelling of objects which I couldnot understand...May be some of you with experience can explain this concept...
    we have one existing dataflow where they get data based on region...and region is created as infoobject...its navigational attribute is country....
    then they have other dataflow where they get data on basis of country...while modelling this requirement..they followed something like...In Infoobject 'Country' they put infoobject 'Region' as Navigational attribute and as you already know from above that Infoobject 'Region' contains ' country' as Navigational attribute....
    Also,all nav.attributes of 'Country' can be found in 'region' but not all nav.attributtes of 'Region' can be found in 'Country'...
    so in short...they have each other as navigational attributes....in one dataflow they have data based on Regions and in one,they have data based on Countries....
    Do anybody know how this design works?Can you please share your knowledge about this?
    I need to add one new navigational attribute to Infoobject 'Country' and I am doubtful if I need to add this to 'Region' also...
    Thankful for your advice.
    S H

    Both are different the coincidence according to the business is all the nav attr's of Country are existed in Region and moreover their Datasources will be different each other.
    Now your reqmnt is to add New Nav attr only to Country .. so no need to add to Region MD.

  • New concepts in ECC 6.0

    hi,
    pls make me know throuh mail id  ;[email protected]

    Hello Satya
    I am not sure if there have been big changes regarding OO concepts. Basically all of them are already available in 4.6c.
    Of course on ERP 6.0 you have many more classes and more powerful classes (in terms of methods) available.
    Major differences that I am aware of are:
    - RTTI (runtime type identification) " e.g. CL_ABAP_TYPEDESCR and other classes
    - functional method calls " e.g. go_msglist = cf_reca_message_list=>create( ) was not possible on 4.6c
    - public type definitions   " I think on 4.6c only protected and private ones were possible

  • Problem authorizations in roles new concept BI

    Hi developers,
    I have a problem because after migration of the authorization  have in a cube (FI area) two characteristic (Company Code and Controlling Area) relevant for the authorizations.
    I wish control only the Company code but the system demands also the Controlling Area. I have insert the Controlling Area in authorization with EQ ( but no work because is insert in the free characteristic.
    If I fixed the value of the Controlling Area associated to Company Code not work, if I insert a variable  where the user enter the value the query work but not necessary for the user. If I insert CP () work but some users have queries of CO Area with controls  on values of  this characteristic. Insert CP () in FI Authorization means see all datas in CO.
    Can help me for manage this situation where there are two areas FI / CO migrated where the old concept is different than BI
    Thanks in advance
    Domenico

    Hi Balaji,
    I had already create the authorization because we have effectued the migration after the upgrade of release.
    Some users can see queries of FI an CO areas, for example:
    User A (FI) can see only the Company Code XX but in the query there are also Controlling Area and if I insert Controlling Area XX the authorization don't work, the problem is resolved only I insert a variable also for Controlling Area not necessary for the user. If I insert ( or the value XX in CO Area the query do not work.
    The query work only with variables after the introduction of the value XX or if I insert (*).
    User A (CO) can see only the CO Area XX but if I insert in authorization precedent (*) the user can see all because the authorization are summarized.
    In this situation you know a method for manage two different authorization for the same users autonomously
    Thanks Domenico

  • A new concept of iPod classic

    The scrolling is  automatic.
    Scroll speed depends on the distance of your finger from the central button (button should be in the center-not like on the picture).
    The screen is getting bigger but ipod classic atmosphere is maintained.
    Also it should be thinner =)
    Don't judge me strictly, I'm just having fun

    I do think there's a need for a high capacity audio player out there that keeps pace with modern design and technology and comes in at or below the current price of the ipod classic.  How about an adaption of the latest generation nano, but with a bigger hard drive?  You take that at $150, figure no more than $100 extra for the bigger harddrive, and it seems like they'd be set.
    But I don't think Apple really wants us to have big hard drives anymore, which is why they aren't upgrading the ipod classic and may stop making them at some point, in my opinion.  They want us dependent on the cloud.  I'm not interested in being cloud dependent.  The cloud is fine as a backup or for specific situations where it comes in handy, but, in general, I want all my music on my PC and on my ipod or portable music player.  For that, I need capacity.  And if it backs stuff up to the cloud in case of a hard drive failure or in case I am using a friend's device sometime, great.  But a 2 or 8 or even 16 gigabyte player is almost worthless to me.

  • At new and At last Concept

    Hi All,
    Is their any Possibilities to use AT LAST and AT NEW Concepts in WebDynpro ABAP.
    Plz Give me the solution with an Example
    Regards,
    Vimalraj

    Hi  Vimalraj,
    yes you can use at new and at last as you would use in normal abap....
    lets say i have a context node called: TABLE_NODE
    and this node has two attributes, name: field1 and field2.... field1 is of type char and field2 is of type p.
    table_node
    >field1
    >field2
    and a context node called : TOTAL with an attribute "VALUE".  value is of type p.
    total
    >value
    now i am interested in doing the sum for field2 and display that sum on my view....the ui element which is bound to my node "total"  attribute "value".  And also i am only interested in the sum of field value "A"...pls see code below.
    so here is the code:
    DATA lo_nd_table_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
      DATA lo_el_table_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
      DATA ls_table_node TYPE wd_this->element_table_node.
      DATA lt_table_node TYPE wd_this->elements_table_node.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <TABLE_NODE> via lead selection
      lo_nd_table_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_table_node ).
      lo_nd_table_node->get_static_attributes_table(
      IMPORTING
      table = lt_table_node ).
      ls_table_node-field1 = 'A'.
      ls_table_node-field2 = '1.0'.
      APPEND ls_table_node TO lt_table_node.
      ls_table_node-field1 = 'A'.
      ls_table_node-field2 = '2.0'.
      APPEND ls_table_node TO lt_table_node.
      ls_table_node-field1 = 'B'.
      ls_table_node-field2 = '5.0'.
      APPEND ls_table_node TO lt_table_node.
      ls_table_node-field1 = 'B'.
      ls_table_node-field2 = '2.0'.
      APPEND ls_table_node TO lt_table_node.
      DATA lo_nd_total TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
      DATA lo_el_total TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
      DATA ls_total TYPE wd_this->element_total.
      DATA lv_value LIKE ls_total-value.
    navigate from <CONTEXT> to <TOTAL> via lead selection
      lo_nd_total = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_total ).
    get element via lead selection
      lo_el_total = lo_nd_total->get_element(  ).
    get single attribute
      lo_el_total->get_attribute(
        EXPORTING
          name =  `VALUE`
        IMPORTING
          value = lv_value ).
      LOOP AT lt_table_node INTO ls_table_node.
        AT NEW field1.
          SUM.
          IF ls_table_node-field1 = 'A'.
            lv_value = ls_table_node-field2.   "at this point lv_value will be 3...
          ENDIF.
        ENDAT.
        lo_nd_table_node->bind_table( lt_table_node ).
      ENDLOOP.
    get single attribute
      lo_el_total->set_attribute(
        EXPORTING
          name =  `VALUE`
          value = lv_value ).
    that is all....similarly we can use at last.....
    hope this helps...
