New info is being lost

When I type new info on my desktop, I sometimes come back to find that it didn't "take." I always do everyting on the desktop, never do changes on the Palm itself. I changed a phone number a few days ago, but just saw that the old number is still there. Why is this happening? Do I have to do some sort of save to be sure all my new information is getting saved? Thanks in advance!

when you edit a contact do you do hotsync after?
maybe that the sync action was set to 'handheld overwrites desktop'
try to check it on palm desktop
on the top left go to 'hotsync' and then 'custom'

I have a few saved documents and when I open them to view them quick, sometimes when I close it, I will get asked if I would like to save the document or all my new info will be lost. Unless they were Word documents, Pages has done nothing really, but it is updating date information in the file.
It is annoying but just ignore it and don't save.

I feel your pain. I am a long time user of Palm Desktop/Claris Organizer and have an iPhone that I really can't sync except by doing an export and import into iCal, etc. You might try Missing Sync. I have been working intermittently with writing a replacement for Palm Desktop, but I've only gotten as far as dumping out the information for everything (except repeating appointments) as an XML file.

I've been testing to see which slides are bad, by publishing with certain slides hidden, to isolate the problem. It turns out there are at least two bad slides - but only one has full motion recording on it. Guess that really blows my theory . Any thoughts??

I've been working on a demo and cannot publish it. In the publishing progress bar, it hangs when it says this: "Writing SWF File Tags to Stream" (this slide happens to have a full motion recording on it btw, but I don't know if that's significant info. because other slides do too, and those function just fine).
When our desktop support team looked at some event log, it looked to them like it kept hanging on a file called "CustomTransition_1.swf". What in the world would that be? I thought I had a good theory regarding full motion recording being a problem (other sims. without this publish just fine), but then again- one of the slides with full motion really isn't problematic!
Anyone have some good experience or advice with this?

I have absolutely no idea what that is, but recently I was encountering a ton of publishing problems and they all seemed to go away when I downloaded this patch. Don't know if it will help you, but it's worth a shot...

Create New Info Block in ECC for CRM Customer Fact Sheet

we have a requirement to add a new info block in Customer Fact Sheet to display Equipment master from ECC. the info block required somehow is not listed in standard ECC info block.
is there any way i can configure the info block in ECC so i can call it from CRM? or do i need to develop it using ABAP in ECC?

What I really really need is an example of how a new Assignment block can be created so that it appears in the PDF fact sheet.
I'm aware that the interface within the Smartform will need to be changed, along with the coding to process any new data being parsed in. The copied class, now called ZCL_UIU_PRN_ACCOUNT has a method called Collect_data which populates the itabs and forwards to the appropriate Smartform. I'm currently looking through this code to see what needs to be done.
The collect_data method loops through the data in the CRMT_BSP_PRINT table and retrieves the data structure and class, and I assume it calls them, but I have no idea what these classes have in common as I can't see common theme with them.

It would look like a lot of these classes are based on CL_BSP_*ACCMOD classes, but that's guesswork on my part.
I am unhappy that I seem to be pioneering here as there's no guide/help on exactly what needs to be done to add new AB's/sections to the PDF fact sheet. I find that strange as most areas are well documented, except this area as far as I know.
Sure, there is a note which identifies some of the objects that need to be changed, but misses out a vital table, but there are no guides. There are many people who produce videos on how to achieve the easier stuff, like adding fields to AB's via the UI configurator, but there seems to nothing in the area of extending the PDF fact sheet.

How do I change the email that my security info is being sent to?

I'm trying to purchase something on a new laptop and my account is asking that I answer some security questions. I made my apple account about 3 years ago and I cant remember the answers to my security questions. I also have no idea what e-mail the security info is being sent to when I click on the link bellow the security questions since I don't remember ever signing up to a gmail account though that's what it shows. I just want to know how I can change the e-mail that the security info is being sent to.

You cannot and need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.

Adding new info object to a cube.

Hi Friends,
This is a BI SYSTEM, we have a cube with existing data in it. Now we need to add a new info object to the dimension of the cube.
Now we can add the info object to the cube in 2 ways.
1. remodeling the cube
2. select the cube in RSA1 , RIGHT CLICK, IN CHANGE MODE add the info object to the dimension of the cube.
now my question is why we have the concept of remodeling, when we were able to add the info objects to the dimensions of the cube in the change mode.
kindly explain me in detail.

Hi Soumya,
If you go by option 2 of adding Infoobject in Cube by going in change mode and adding the respective Infoobject in Dimension,
Then you have to delete Data first from the Infocube in order to add infoobject by this option. Otherwise it won't allow you to add infoobject.
But by remodelling option you can add the infoobject in dimension without deleting any data from Cube. But this option has its own limitations too.

You should use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.
The ipod will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase teh content from the ipod.

I recently bought my daughter an iPod 5th generation and quickly set it up with all my info ... E-mail , Apple ID etc. how can I change all of it to her name and new info without losing all her apps , movies and music ???

If you have a Mac, it's pretty easy. But you don't (should I make a pitch for you to get a MacBook Pro in the future)?

you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere. Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

I moved my LR5 catalog to a new hard drive and lost my COLLECTIONS. In the collections i get the messageI then locate the file in the new drive :
i locate the file and receive this message
How can i get the Collection to redirect to the new location?? I have about a LOT of missing pics in Collections.

To clarify....I moved LIGHTROOM to a new hard drive....including 1) Working catalogs, 2) Working exports, and 3) Working Originals. I now know i did not follow correct procedure for "moving a catalog". I dragged it to the new hard drive. Yikes!!
(I was at Imaging last week and spoke to Julianne Kost, she recommended that i use the FIND link....but this gave me the same result as i am speaking about above.)
To Clarify......The Collections are listed. The target path to the images did not change when i moved to the new hard drive.
There is an exclamation point in the right hand corner of the images in each collection. When i click on the exclamation mark i get the message....."“JK_120214_7782.NEF” could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" I then locate the file IN THE NEW current DRIVE...at which time i click on it and i receive the message.....
this file is associated with another photo in the catalog.... each file can only be associated with one photo. Then if i choose to show in library....it points to the image in the FOLDER tab...which is in fact where the image is located.
Up to this point, when i need one of these older collections i have had to recreate. i have manually gone to the original.....in the FOLDER tab, found the image and added to the Collections again. Then i go back and delete all the files with the ! ......a long and tedious task. I was hoping there was an easier way to recreate my "collections".
Initially i was going to just MOVE the entire library again ( the correct way) ....which i should've done i believe. Now i have imported more jobs and have created additional collections , so i'd love to find a short cut!

I used to have MobileMe but in the set-up process was told to turn that off, which I did but now most of my calendar events have disappeared after syncing with ICloud. How can I get my missing calendar events back? They are still on my 3Gs Iphone which I have not yet updated to IOS5.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.
