Does the new iPad have video zoom capabilities while recording?
I would like to upgrade from the original iPad to the newest iPad but am still waiting for video recording zoom capabilities. I can't find out anywhere if this is available on this newest one. Does anyone know if it is? Thanks!
There's some video apps at the iTunes store.

'We apologize for this inconvenience; however, your system does not meet the requirements necessary to view our media presentation'. I just received the iPad mini and get this message when I try to view videos. Does the full size iPad support video play back?
iPads have the same video requirements. What is the source of the video - streaming, download, from video camera?

How much video can be recorded on the new iPad?
What is the new iPad's video recording capacity?
KalA better question is to ask what the average data recording rate is. Based upon that you can calculate whatever limits you desire.
I've recorded a few short clips, in the neighborhood of 10-30 seconds, and from that and the resulting file size I calculate that 1080p recording requires roughly 2.8 MB/sec, or 168 MB/min, or 10 GB/hr.
You should be able to figure out whatever you need from that. Of course, these numbers are based upon the videos I've taken with my new iPad. YMMV. -
Will I be able to upload Canon 7D video directly to the new iPad?
Hi,
I'm thinking of getting the new iPad as a useful tool in the field when filming with my canon 7D. Will I able to upload my footage straight from the camera and preview it back?
Thanks! What video format(s) does the Canon 7D have?

How should I best import HD Videos from the new iPad to my mac without loosing video quality?
The new HD video on the new iPad is awesome, but it can eat up a lot of memory in no time. I would like to know what is the most recommended way to export my ipad movies to iLife on my mac without loosing image quality, so i can free up space on my iPad.
If I use iPhoto I notice that the file size of the video from the new iPad is a lot smaller then if I use iMovie to import the same video.
Example: I import a 53 second video from the new iPad to iPhoto and the imported file has a file size of 143 MB in iPhoto. (iphoto save the video as IMG_0048.mov)
I import the same video to iMovie manually and the imported file size is 843 MB in iMovie. BIG DIFFERENCE. (iMovie saves that same video as clip-2012-03-20 16;13;08.mov)
Now to really be confusing: I go to Image Capture program and locate the file manually on my iPad and is has the same name and file size is what is in iPhoto.
So either iMovie is making the File a lot larger when it imports to an event, or the file I'm looking at is actually the iPhoto version that I get because I sync with iPhoto.
The second issue that I have is that now I have 2 videos on my hard drive: one in iPhoto, and one in iMovie for a combined data storage of close to 1 GB.
I would like to be able to import ALL my iPad recording into iPhoto and then delete the video from the device when done.
But if I loose video quality, I'm not happy about that. Secondly, by importing video from my iPad into multiple iLife programs, I'm creating duplicates with sometimes different quality. Any suggestions? is there a setting in iPhoto that can do all this for me?
RobertDon't use iphoto to deal with movies. it's not really meant for that. use Quicktime or iMovie to work with your videos

I am unable to initiate a video chat on facebook from a pc to a new ipad mini. Is this possible and do I need a special app on my iPad? Receivew a message on the PC after request a video chat with the iPad that the connection is too slow and the iPad does not show an incoming video. JMaruje
A Mac Mini s a computer you can use with the iPad.
YO do not need a computer fro backup since yo can backup to iCloud.
However, sometimes software glitches occur and require connecting the device to a compute to restore vi iTuunes.
You can control a computer via an iPod with an app like TeamViewer or LogMeIn. There are others too.
You can also use an iPad a a SECONDAY monitor for a computer. with other apps.
You need a dedicated monitor, keyboard and mouse to setup the Mini. You can use a PC USB mouse and keyboard. -
I shot a video with the camera on an iPad and want to transfer a copy to a new iPad Mini to take advantage of the retina display. I can see it in a photo stream, but it won't let save it to the new iPad. The old iPad didn't have enough memory to work on an iMovie, so I need to get the video in the new iPad mini to put it in an iMovie project.
Okay, I figured out that Windows has "AutoPlay" settings which can automatically download photos and videos from a newly connected device, such as an iPad Mini. I think I could open it in Windows Explorer too that way but the auto download solved my problem.

I got a new iPad and can't get my music or videos from the cloud or iTunes. Every time I download all my music & a video then click on music it says I don't have any music & I can purchase music on iTunes. I go to iTunes click purchased and download again. It shows everything downloaded so I open music and get the same message - no music. The same happens with videos. Am I missing a setting or something?
But how did you fix it ????? Pls help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - tears of pain and frustration gushes out-

I have switched to a new iPad and transferred all the needed aps, included some high-priced ones for my business. The only thing I can't do is get my music and music videos to move. I originally tried to backup the old unit and restore to the new unit and this was successful for a lot of the aps, it didn't work for the music. It also messed up several aps that I had already initialized on the new unit and I had to go through the whole process again. How can I move my music without damaging other aps?
Thanks for any help. The contents of the Music and Videos apps aren't included in a device's backup. If you don't have them on your computer's iTunes library then if they are iTunes purchases then you should be able to copy them back from your old iPad via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to your new iPad. If some/all of them are not iTunes purchases and you don't have them on your computer nor on your backup of your library then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -

Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I have the new ipad and I'm trying to transfer videos from my PC to the ipad. My GB allotment is almost used up and I want to utilize some of my free cloud storage. How do I do this or does the icloud only take items purchased thru itunes?
iCloud cannot help you - it's not a storage device, but primarily a syncing and backup service. You have to decide which videos to put on your ipad as you cannot add more memory to it.
