New PC to recognize my Cannon Multipass Machine C-2500

Hi, I want to get my new PC to recognize my Cannon multipass C-2500 machine. How can I do this?
Thanks very much,
Wayne

Hi waynefrye,
The MultiPASS C2500 was release several years prior to Windows XP.  While the printer can be installed on an XP or earlier system (official drivers are only available for ME and earlier), I'm guessing that you are using either Windows 8 or Windows 7 since this is a new computer.
The MultiPASS C2500 is not compatible with these new operating systems.  Since your device is not supported under the current operating system, you are eligible for Canon's Loyalty Program. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a new or refurbished product that uses Canon’s next generation technology and carries a limited manufacturer’s warranty. To help you get up and running quickly, we also offer free ground shipping (if the order is completed by 4:00 PM EST). If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (800)OK-CANON (800-652-2666) seven days a week, 8am to Midnight.

Hi,  I want to get my new PC to recognize my Cannon multipass C-2500 machine.  How can I do this?  I searched the list of printers and find a lot of Cannon inkjet references on my new Gateway computer but I don't find that one.  I obviously want my machine to relate to my printer.  Does the linkage require updated cannon printer drivers?   Thanks for your answers on how to make them compatible.

  • My new smart TV recognizes my network, & asks, "Please enter you WEP keys (10 or 26 hex digits)" but my netwotk uses a password of 6 characters. How can I get my smart TV to connect to my network?

I have a current iMac with the latest OS update.
My new smart TV recognizes my network, & asks, “Please enter your WEP keys (10 or 26 hex digits).  My  Airport Express, an early model, only requires a password of less than 10 characters.
When I open “airport utility,”on my iMac it tells me this version doesn’t support my base station & says go to “Airport Service & Support.”  That’s what got me here.
My earlier MacBook runs OS 10.6.8. Its version of  Airport Utility works. Its Airport ID has 17 characters, & uses the same password to access the internet, but it also has a “wireless password” of 26 characters, but only shows me the dots. i haven’t the foggiest notion  what the characters are, if I put them in there years ago when i did the original configuration, or if they got there otherwise..
I’m afraid of changing those settings for fear that I’l mess up the whole thing.
How can I get my smart TV to connect to my network, ?

Please check out the following AirPort User Tip on how to recover AirPort passwords.

Why won't my new Airport Extreme recognize my USB external hard drive.  I put a USB port on the base station, and the system recognizes my printer.  When I click on disks - it lists my printer, and when I click on Printers it lists my printer.  What do I need to do to get it to recognize the external drive?  BTW, the MacBook recognizes it, no problem.  I have erased it and reformatted it.  I am running the new Lion OS.  Any help is appreciated.

Yes, I saw a post on one of these threads about a powered USB hub so I ran over to Office Depot and picked one up.  I was finally able to see the HD in the Airport Utility.  Yay!

Yes, it will do a full backup.
and if so, do I really need all the old backups on my smaller external drive?
Only if you want to be able to go back in time to those previous Time Machine backups.  When you plug in the new larger external drive, you will only be able to go back as far as the first day you plugged it in and ran the first Time Machine backup on it.

  • Can I restore a new hard drive from a previous time machine back-up?

    Hi there,
My MacBook Pro 13 inch is 4 years old.
The computer began to freeze/stop working, so I took it to an Apple care centre and they informed that my hard drive has crashed and has to be replaced.
Luckily, I backed up my old hard drive a few days before with an external hard drive using Time Machine. My question is: can I restore this new hard drive with my old time machine backup that is on my external hard drive? If so, how do I do this?
    Thanks

Of course! If you couldn't, Time Machine would be rather worthless, now wouldn't it?

Firstly, time to get rid of the 2 x 512MB FBDIMMs in there, they add more heat and use more watts then they add to the system. If you need more, and 4 or 8 DIMMs is ideal, Amazon has 2x2GB sets $22 - about 1/50th what I paid for 1GB new.
    Buy a 250GB Samsung EVO SSD $129
Pick up Carbon Copy Cloner http://www.bombich.com to clone the system to the SSD
A sled adapter for the SSD from Icy Dock $14 Amazon.com
7-8 years overdue for new system drive! amazed it lasted this long. An SSD plus some WD Black 2TB drives or larger should do the trick.
you can also put the SSD in the lower optical drive bay and use one of the two ODD "spare" SATA ports for the SSD - an SSD is the best way to improve the performance of our old Mac Pro 2006-7 models.
When you downloaded the Lion installer that was when to create a flash type installer with Lion DiskMaker.
If you have put in a new-ish graphic card then OS X 10.6.0 may not support it.

But what can I cut and paste? the html code or image and text directly?
depend on which template you used.
if you use iweb photos page template then you need to search for my photos page solutions in this forum.
@ot: cut and paste from the online version
@rw: You can drag an image from the website to the Desktop
have your try your methods in iweb photos page?

Have you updated your iTunes on your computer? WIth a device running iOS7, you need iTunes 11.
When you removed iTUnes, did you see something named 'apple mobile device support' or something like it? (The exact name varies from operating system to operating system). If you see that, uninstall it too. That's the drivers for your iPhone and they should self-install when you plug your device in.
If all that is fine, have you checked your cable and USB port? a malfunctioning cable can keep you from syncing.

Based on a thread I started and others I've read, I would backup your System with a bootable clone to an external HD. After the new HD is installed, use the clone backup to restore your new HD.  You can do this with Apps like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. That's what I plan on doing.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
