New to ASM, need pointers

Just took a new job. Shop has some of the DB's on ASM. This is the first time I've had to deal with it, so am starting my reading with the 2-Day DBA and the Admin Guide. Does anyone have any recommendations for other reading to get me up to speed.
Believe it or not, my first project assignment is to actually migrate one of the systems (one dev and on prod db) off of ASM and back to OS file systems. ASM files include data and temp TS, redo logs, and control files.
Just to keep things interesting, they are still using the old java client based db manager from pre-10g (though it is still included with the 10g installation). No dbcontrol, no Grid. That's all on my personal to-do list.

ASM is not all that magical. The DB's interaction with disk is basically still raw disk, and ASM simply provides some metadata, such as "your block is on this spot of the disk" telling the various readers and the DBWR where to position the heads. That metadata is kept on the raw disk in a special area, and served up by a stripped down version of the Oracle DB kernel. The DB is a client to that ASM instance, and you see typical Server Processes on that ASM instance.
The 11gR2 ASM manual at http://docs.oracle.com & http://tahiti.oracle.com is one of the better sources of info, and relevant to older versions once you read the "What's New" section. (http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/portal.portal_db?selected=16&frame=#oracle_automatic_storage_management) I found the older versions of the docs aren't as good.
But the best source for understanding ASM is the book "Oracle Automatic Storage Management: Under-the-Hood & Practical Deployment Guide (Oracle Press)" authored by Nitin Vengurlekar, Murali Vallath, and Rich Long. It contains actual words of wisdom by the creator of ASM.
Since you are migrating off ASM, one word: RMAN. You can actually use RMAN to migrate one data file at a tme, if you wish. (For demo purposes, I've had a DB running with one tablespace using 3 data files - one in ASM, one on raw disk and one on cooked file system. I just got my mac a month ago so go easy on me but I was just working with the pages that was already on it, and then today I know it updated, and now I am unable to open a lot of my documents!:( Idk what you mean by the icloud version lol sorry! As for the version, when I open pages from my apps and click 'about' it says version 5.1? And when I open the document it just goes grey and kind of blinks and doesnt open? Sign out in System Preferences>iCloud. This will remove any synced data such as Calendars, emails and Contacts from your Mac, but will have no effect on the data on the server - so that other devices logged into it will continue to see the data.

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Yes, I very well may be over thinking this, but I tried duplicating and moving it, but the text distorts slightly, which can be mostly remedied by rotating it on the x-axis, although the light is still off. And the shadows and reflections are not visible - this is pic1... In pic2, I used "rotate 3d object" with the green and red arrows, instead of just sliding it up the y-axis using the coordinates in the scene tab. Using the green and red arrows to move the text preserved the reflections but the shadows now aren't visible. It was also hard to align the text perfectly in scenario 2. Thanks for the help

Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.

If you need to change the iCloud ID on your new phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

If you don't have your old computer, but you made regular backups of it, restore the most recent backup using the backup software that you used to make the backup. You will have to read the instructions for it.
If you don't have your old computer and you did not back it up regularly see: Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive

User Exit during Sales Order Creation - New Line Item needed

I have a situation during the process of sales order creation. If a Material in a line item has say 27 EA and the Base Unit is EA. But the Sales Unit is CSE. Then whenever the user enters 27 EA and presses enter he should get two line items.
The first line item needs to convert to maximum number of CSE posible and the rest will be the second line item with the remaining EA. The order isn't important but that is what is needed. Question is how do I approach this problem and code my user exit accordingly and where do I code it.
I was looking at SAPMV45A and saw the program MV45AIZZ which is meant as a user exit for any PAI event handling. If anybody has encountered this kind of requirement can you please share your view on this.
I will definitely reward points for useful answers.

PART 1:
Sales Order Enter:
1.     When a line item is entered on a sales order (VA01 or VA02), at enter, check the sales unit of measure (VBAP-VRKME).
     Do not check line items where item category (VBAP-PSTYV) = TANN, TAPS or ZTAP. TANN are free goods that should not be considered for consolidation. TAPS & ZTAP are lower level materials as a result of product selection. They will be attached to a higher-level material with an item category of TAX, which is relevant for consolidation.
     Do not check items where VRKME <> EA
2.     If VRKME = EA, go to MARM for MATNR.
3.     Go to record where alternate unit of measure (MEINH) = CSE, get the value from the numerator field (UMREZ).
4.     Divide the order quantity (VBEP-WMENG) by UMREZ.
5.     If the result is greater than 1.0, the customer has ordered more than one case and a new line item needs to be added to the sales order for the case quantity.
6.     Add a new line to VBAP for the same material with the case quantity. If not a whole value, the remainder of eaches (bottles) should update the qty on the first item on VBAP.
     Part 1 is relevant for order types ZCA, ZOR, ZSO, RE, ZSM
PART 2:
Batch Job to run prior to the Delivery Due List:
1.     Read VBUK for Delivery Status (LFSTK) = A (delivery not processed). Get all of the document numbers (VBELN).
2.     Go to VBEP for those document numbers to get the goods issue date for the order. There will be many records in VBEP for the same sales order. Look at all orders with a goods issue date (WADAT) of next day.
3.     Go to VBAK for those document numbers to see if there are multiple sales orders for the same Sold To party (KUNNR).
4.     For customers who have more than one order in VBAK, search all line items (for all orders). If there are no duplicate materials across sales orders, do nothing.
     Do not check line items where item category (VBAP-PSTYV) = TANN, TAPS or ZTAP. TANN are free goods that should not be considered for consolidation. TAPS & ZTAP are lower level materials as a result of product selection. They will be attached to a higher-level material with an item category of TAX, which is relevant for consolidation.
     Do not check line items where reason for rejection (VBAP-ABGRU) is not blank
5.     If there are duplicate materials, go through the same logic as in part 1. If the quantity across the sales orders adds up to greater than one case, add the appropriate quantity to a new line item on the first sales order.   If there is a remainder qty, update the line item on the first sales order with this qty. In this case, the quantities on the second sales order needs to be closed out with a reason for rejection code of 50, Line Item Consolidation. If there is no remainder, update the qty on this item directly.
     Part 2 is relevant for order types ZOR, ZCA, ZSM
     This batch job will have to be run manually for Day Pick orders. The end of this program should automatically kick off the delivery due list for Day Pick orders, shipping condition 02.
Business Justification:
The business requires that like order line items be consolidated to one line item prior to the order going to the warehouse for picking. This will aid in picking at the warehouse as well as result in the customer invoice not reflecting more than one line item for the same material. In the case where the customer has truly ordered more than a case, i.e;, 1 case, 2 bottles, the documents in SAP will still reflect 2 lines.

Yes.
What you need to do is Transfer the iTunes Library from your Old computer to your New computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

The way that Dropbox works is that it keeps a copy of all your files in your local Dropbox folder on your hard drive (which is, by default, directly under your home folder). Adding files to that folder will sync them to the Dropbox server.
You do of course have to download the Dropbox application to enable this (download link at the top right of http://dropbox.com ).

VC6. is rather old, but you can try to convert the VC6 project using the upgrade wizard of VC2012. Depending on the content of the project your code will work more or less without problems, at least it will compile without errors.
You could also go the 2nd way and create in VC2012 a project type using the wizard that is very similar to your current VC6 projcet (MDI, SDI, Dialog Based, ...). Than you replace the files generated by the wizard with the content of your project. Sometimes
this way is more successful.
But at all the automated converting success depends on the code of your VC6 project. I had both, conversions without big problems and also conversions that need a lot changes to run on a current VC version.
