New to Business Graphics in WD ABAP

Hi all,
I am new to Business Graphics in WD ABAP. I have already go through the WDR_TEST_EVETS. But I don't get it clearly. Is there any other document or any earlier thread to understand BG.

Hi,
First try to create a table with some values in it and bind it to the node.
When you create the BG there are thow things- Series and Category.
Category is the X Axis and Series is the Y-Axis.
Bind the respective properties to the node defined above.
Select the type of graph as Chart/Line type using the Chart editor.
When right cliecked on the BG you can see the Chart settings there you set the Chart type, X and Y axis.
Create a Business Graphic, under that create Category for X axis and Series fror Y-axis that dispaly values from a table.
Bind the Category to the context node->attribute and also the bindthe values to the respective Series and to the BG UI element.

Business Graphics Customizing

Hi,
i want to set customizing for my business graphics element in Abap WebDynpro.
If i click with the right mouse button on the BG element, and change something and then click ok, the transport request dialog appears. I select one and click ok.
But the system does not create the Folder "MIME Objects" in the WebDynpro Component! In another system it creates this folder and includes the created customizing xml file. But not in this system. Why?
The consequence is that it ignores the customizing if i run the wd component.
Can anybody help?

If you use the chart designer tool (by clicking secondary mouse button on the business graphics ui element), it automatically sets an url into "customizing".
you find this generated xml in mime repository -> sap > bc > webdynpro > <application_name>.
My question now is:
How can i use the settings i made dynamically in a method?
i tried it by setting an id like this:
lr_series_element->set_attribute( name = 'CUSTOMIZING' value = 'Series2' ).
In View designer i set "CustomizingID" to the corresponding node in context..

Business Graphics, GeoMap and BIApplicationFrame in ABAP WD

Hello everyone,
I just started working with ABAP WD and saw in the documentation that it was possible to integrate BI reports and graphics in a Web Dynpro application. I would like to know if there are any concrete examples available of ABAP WD apps integrating Business Graphics, GeoMap or BIApplicationFrame? Although the documentation provides some information about the different properties related to these UI elements, an example is always a good way to get a better understanding of the actual implementation.

Hi Christian,
you can find examples in the system in SE80. For GeoMap choose Web-Dynpro-Component /Intf WDR_TEST_EVENTS with the view GEO_MAP, for BusinessGraphics have a look at WDR_TEST_EVENTS again, this time all the views called BG_*. There's also an example in component WDR_TEST_UI_ELEMENTS.

Download Business Graphics to PDF

Hi All,
Iam using Business Graphics in Web dynpro ABAP, the output business graphics image to be export in PDF file. I have Customizing XML file in MIME object and CL_IGS_CHART_ENGINE class is there. But I dont know how to use that class in Web dynpro using Customizing XML as input or any other solution is there to get PDF file.
Please help me to get PDF File.

Hello,
I assume you can: get the data, pass data somewhere where the picture is generated, get the picture back in some useful/ common picture format. Now you need to create a PDF with the graphics.
1) go to transaction SFP - create an interface (just like DDIC structure, create a node/ element for every data element that will be passed to the form, if only picture, create a XSTRING element called PICTURE or something)
2) create a form in SFP based on the interface from 1)
3) drag interface data (left) and drop to right (form context)
4) open form layout
5) put image field on the layout (not image, it MUST be the image field)
6) goto tab Object - Binding of the image field, set the binding source to your XSTRING node from interface/context
7) save, activate
8) write a generator program for adobe form
9) run program
Note: I don´t know if you have any experience with adobe forms, I don´t know if you have ADS for adobe forms installed or even if you can have this service installed.

Business graphics need more than one category

Dear All,
     We have a issue for business graphics need more than one category about web dynpro abap.
   Our data:
   plant   month   qty
1000   201101 10
1000   201102 30
2000   201101 30
2000 201103   40
Now we need one category for "plant" and other category for "month", Data is qty.

Business Graphics(IGS) Application Killing memory

How much memory should kill (In the Server)for a Webdynpro ABAP business graphics application(IGS).
Someone developed one Business Graphics application and it is taking 130305127KB memory.Basis is saying for this Server is not behaving properly.
I want to know do you have any idea regarding this

Business Graphics in WebDynpro - bundle chart and data sheet

Hi experts,
I have a simple chart with stacked columns in a WD4A application.
At the bottom of the chart I'd like to display the values of each column.
I know that it works in ABAP reports (CL_CU_DATA_SHEET).
Does anybody know how to do the same in a WebDynpro?

I cheked all examples in WDR_TEST_EVENTS but couldn't find any that fits.
The class <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/de/70/8fa0375b5dd003e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm">cl_cu_data_sheet</a> does exactly what I need, but only with SAP GUI.
I still hope that it will be possible to do the same in a WebDynpro.

Business Graphics and Data Tables

Hi All,
I have a SAPGUI application which uses the SAP Chart to display a pretty simple column chart with a data table underneath.
With the SAPGUI Chart Options this is set as so: [Chart Options |http://www.assetcentric.com.au/images/chart-options.png]
The result is a chart looking like so:

Does anybody know whether this is possible to achieve with the IGS from WebDynpro?

If you are using webdynpro for ABAP then we cna use the Business Graphics UI element where we have differenet chart optins( bar, pie, lines etc) to have the graphs.
BG in Webdynpro -

For WD4Java we need the separate IGS server to render the graphs, but in WD4A we dont need it. we can design webdynpro applicaitons in SE80 and can run the applciations in browser direclty.
we can use the data from BAPI by making a service call to that BAPI, and bind the tables to this BG UI element to display.

Hi Cristian Teles,
YOu can use the Business graphics even in Adobe forms. In the Adobe Designer you can find the various graphical UI elements. Please go through them.
Structure of the Chart Designer
The Chart Designer is divided into three areas:
·        The graphics preview
The area on the left-hand side in which the business graphic is displayed. This area is used to display a preview of the Customizing settings. Changes to these settings are displayed immediately in the graphics preview, which lets you implement necessary changes in the business graphic display instantly.
·        Overview of graphical elements
The area in the upper-right side that contains the list of graphical elements. For a detailed description and list of all graphical elements, see SAP NetWeaver ® Application Platform (SAP Web Application Server) ® ABAP Technology ® UI Technology ® Frontend Services.
Each graphical element, in turn, has one or more properties. To change a property, select a chart element either from the chart window or by name in the chart element window. The properties of the chart element are then displayed, and you can edit and change the values of the properties.
·        The property list
The properties are listed in the area below the graphical elements. To change a property, select a graphical element either with the mouse in the graphics preview or from the overview of graphical elements. The properties of the graphical element are then displayed. You can change the values of these properties.

Creating Gantt charts using Business Graphics that can be downloaded

The short version is I need the format for XML data to create a Gantt chart in a Business Graphics UI Element in order to be able to automatically email it. The long version is...
I currently have a Web Dynpro ABAP component that displays a Gantt chart using a Business Graphics UI Element based off data in various other UI elements in the view.
This works fine and the graph displays nicely, but I cannot find a way to download that straight from the Business Graphics UI Element. Having read around the forum there appears to be two options:
- Code it up myself by calling methods on the IGS API directly
- Bind the image data attribute on the element and get the data that way
Unfortunatly, we are not currently running a recent enough version (702/720) to be able to do the latter and so, unless there is another way, I need to code up the API calls myself.
So far I have got a business graphic in to an Adobe PDF form, loaded in my config data so it appears as a Gantt chart but I cannot figure out the format for the actual data that needs to be sent through in XML. Does anyone have example XML data or code to generate it that can be sent in to the call:
l_igs_ce->set_data( EXPORTING data_doc = p_ixml_doc ).
I have used the example in GRAPHICS_IGS_CE_TEST and the page http://liualex.com/archives/185 to generate the image and load the config data in but this only explains the XML format of the chart data for bar graphs.

This is the SAP Chart Designer, it contains a PDF which explains the XML format used, you can use it to manually create your own XML streams.

Problem with Gantt table (Business graphic)

Hi everybody,
I got a problem with an gantt table (Business graphic) in an old project. This gantt table is used to display the timeline of used ressources. The Problem here his that, if the last row of the gantt table is filled, this row will not be displayed correctly. The line will only be filled up half of the height the row has and the row will be divided by a horizontal black line.
If somebody has an idea about fixing this problem, that will be great.
