New to LiveCycle

I am not a form designer but I am trying to get a fillable form to use in a medical lab.  What I am trying to figure out is if it is possible to do the following:
1.) populate fields based on what choice is made from a drop down menu
For example: I need to choose an anesthetic and I am given the choice in a drop down menu of isoflurane, propofol, thiopental.  Once I choose one, such as isoflurane, I want to be able to populate fields for how it is administered and the dosage used.  So for example, I choose isoflurane and the route field is filled in with inhalation and the dose field would be filled in with 4%.  Then if I chose a different one, i.e. thiopental, the values would change in the route field to intravenous and the dose would change to 40.  Is this possible.
2.) utilize different subforms based upon choice from a drop down menu.  For example, I have a drop down list of surgical procedures and for each surgical procedure I want a different subform to populate the form.  This feature is needed because different surgical procedures have different monitoring and documentation needs but I want to keep the basic patient info the same.  Thus you could enter the patient name, identifier, DOB, SSN, etc and then enter the surgical procedure and then based on that choice have unique data input cells based on the procedure.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.  thanks.

In both cases you will need to write code to accomplish what you want. I prefer to use Javascript as it gives you more control. If there are a large number of selections then I suggest a Select statement where you can determine what selction was chosen and act accordingly. I recommend using the exit event of the dropdown list as the value is "committed" at that time.
Hope that helps

  • New to LiveCycle need some help.  How to....

    I am new to Livecyle but it has been pretty easy to figure out the basics. I have two questions. I am using LiveCycle Designer 8.0.
    First:
    When I place the "submit by e-mail" button on a form, does it only send back to me as an XML file? If yes, is there a way to change that so it sends as a PDF? If there is no way to change it to an XML file, how and what program do I need to read the XML file?
    Second:
    If I send a form out to a customer say and want them to keep it and save it for their use, is there a way to do this. Everytime I send it to myself it prompts me that I will be unable to save and can only print the form for personal use.

    This will create a button which works correctly in Acrobat, but you will find that nothing happens when users on Adobe Reader click it. After you make the button you will need to open the file in Acrobat 8 Pro, then select "Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader" from the Tools menu then save the new file.
    In the new file that is produced, the button will be able to send the PDF/XDP via email from Adobe Reader (with data).
    Be careful using this, (from the top of my head) the licensing terms for Acrobat state that you if you enable this in the document then it can either be distributed to 500 people who can submit it unlimited times, or unlimited people but only 500 data submissions can be processed. Read the fine print in the user agreement for details.
    If you are likely to come close to these limits you must license the server product Reader Extensions ES.

  • New to LiveCycle problem with form submisson

    I have been searching the previous posts to find the answer to this question, but to no avail. I apologize if this has already been answered. I created a form to be emailed out to the sales team in our company. When they fill in the appropriate information I would like them to click the submit button to attach the completed locked pdf to an outlook email which is then sent to our orders processing team. I was able to test the form on my pc and it worked great, but whenever I email it out, no one else can get the submit button to work. It doesn't do anything--no error messages or anything. We are all using the current versions of adobe reader. What am I missing? Thanks so much for any feedback…I am very new to this. I can attach the form if needed.

    I followed your instructions, saved the form and emailed it off to a coworker for a test. They filled in the required fields, saved the file, and clicked submit and it brought up a security warning:
    “The document is trying to connect to
    File://C/Documents%20and%20Settings/pkim/Local%Settings/Temporary%20Internet%20Files/CLKBB/[email protected]
    If you trust this site, choose Allow. If you do not trust the site, choose Block.”
    He then clicked allow, and nothing happens.
    Basically what I am attempting to do is have a paperless order sheet for our sales team. They would have a blank copy of the pdf that they fill out and submit for each order. The completed pdf would then be emailed to our order processing team by clicking the submit button. Is this possible? Thanks so much for your help.

  • New to LiveCycle - Submit Email problem

    When I try to distribute a form LiveCycle wants to attach the form to my email. I'm using Yahoo mail. The LiveCycle attachment specifies the folder for the attachment but I've tracked it down to a hidden system folder.
    Is there a way to specify the folder that is being used for attachments?
    Am I doing something wrong?
    TIA

    Sure.
    I create a simple form with one radio button and an email submit button. I then use the DISTRIBUTE FORM wizard and insert my Yahoo! email address to send the form to myself. The Yahoo! mail interface comes up as normal and asks me to attach the form, giving me the path to the form. I've followed the path to no avail and then realized it may be a path to hidden files and folders.
    When I change my view to show hidden files and folders then the form appears and is ready to be attached. Unfortunately, if Microsoft is placing the PDF to be emailed in a temporary folder that is hidden then there's more to this than meets the eye (I expected I should be distributing from the folder I saved the file to!).
    I'm figuring I"m missing something in the setup of the file. BTW, I've also tried simply attaching the saved PDF and then emailing. When the email arrives at it's destination and the user opens it the resulting Yahoo! attachment thing happens.
    Of course, the user can always save the PDF and resend but doesn't that defeat the purpose of automating via the submit email button?
    Any ideas are appreciated.
    regards,
    denis

  • New to LiveCycle and question on Current Date box.

    Hi all,
    I'm very new to designer and I'm trying to put in a Current Date box. The issue I have is that it displays as 2/26/09 and I need it to display as February 26, 2009.
    I've gone into the patterns and enter that, but it doesn't change anything.
    When I drag the Current Date box into the form, I get a message that says "This object has settings that this form does not support. These settings are removed when the object is placed on the form."
    What is this? I made this form off of an existing PDF file that has nothing in it.
    Thanks for any help,
    Jason

    Ah, ok I see what's going on - I didn't realize there was a prebuilt current date object.
    The reason it doesn't change the format from the Patterns is because it is using a script like the one I gave you.
    You need to open the Script Editor window (Window->Script Editor -- I think its default location is just under the toolbars above the page you're working on) then when you click on the object the Script Editor will list scripts attached to the object.
    You need to change the script where it says DateFmt(1) to DateFmt(3).

  • Script to add a new page in LiveCycle

    I am new to LiveCycle so please forgive my ignorance. I have 2 things I am trying to do.
    1. In my fillable form, I want to have default text in the the form field that appears in light gray and disappears automatically when a user clicks in the field to enter text. I know how to add a default but then my user would have to erase the default to add their own information. I don't know if this is an easy thing or if it needs scripting.
    2. I created a button and I want to add JavaScript to it to have it copy the second page of my form and add it as a third page to be filled out too. I don't want to send a form with a bunch of extra pages so I want my users to create new pages as necessary. I know how to view the script editor and I added some script, but it doesn't appear to be correct as I don't get the green or red icons to attach the script to the button and when previewed, the button does nothing. I chose on Click and I understand that the script creates a path to my object with a period in between each object, but I don't understand after the instanceManager.addInstance(true) what I should put. What does the "true" part mean. I thought that I would put the name of the object that I wanted added. Am I close to doing this right or is it much more complicated? Does my button have to be in a subform with the objects or something to work? Am I trying to do something that is possible?
    I wish I could printscreen to this forum.

    For each of the fields that you like to have default value displayed and get cleaned on entry you can have following JS script in "enter" event....
    if (this.rawValue == "<default value for that particular field>") {
         this.rawValue = ""
    and for "exit" event....
    if (this.isNull) {
         this.rawValue = "<default value for that particular field>"
    Hope tha helps with the first issue....
    And with the second question you had....yes it is some thing that can be done with few tricks and little script.
    Your button does not need to be part of that subform...and noting wrong even if it is.
    instanceManager.addInstance(true)     //true is part of syntax however following example can give you better idea
    _secondPageSubForm.addInstance(true) is what you would use in "click" event of the button where "secondPageSubForm" is your subform name to repeat and designed to fit entire page so you can continue adding entire page rather than part of page. And "_" (Underscore) is part of the syntax to recognize the repeating subform.
    And to whole thing work as expected you need to save/render PDF as Dynamic template and set your "secondPageSubForm" as repeating in "Binding" tab.
    Hope that helps, Good Luck,

  • LiveCycle Designer 8-scripting search Access DB records

    Hi
    I am new to LiveCycle Designer 8 having it included with Acrobat Pro 8. I have been trying to set up a basic form that can interact with an Access 2007 DB. Following the help guide, online tutorials, I have been able to set up the data connection, figure out how to establish a "trusted environment" and added several buttons as a test. Using JS, the next, previous, update, first and last buttons work, populating the form fields with the sample DB data and updating the DB (update). Can't get the add new record button to work even though the JS scripting is precisely that shown in the same tutorials for the other buttons. If I delete the text in the on screen cells in the .pdf form, enter new text, click add, all that I added disappears. Checking the DB, nothing has been added. Same difficulty with deleting a record, and the current opened record does not delete.
    Reading a posting suggesting setting up an SQL query instead, leaving of any auto-incrementing item (like ID), and using the JS scripting for the button (don't yet know how to use SQL for next, previous, update, etc.), still couldn't get the add new or delete to work. Tried every combo of no user name, no password to user name, password blank, etc. No success.
    The other needed capability for the test form is the ability to search the DB records, for example by name or ID, for example by the user entering a name or ID in a text input box, clicking a "search" button and the record (if it exists) displaying in the other cells. Then, once found, it could be updated or deleted. One tutorial aims to populate a drop down list box with the data from a specific DB column. It doesn't use JS, rather FormCalc (which kept generating error messages, when I tested it out))and is far too complex for my limited novice skills. If I could display a drop down list box with all of the names and ID's in a DB, the user could choose one and once the record would populate the cells, they could update or delete it.
    So, I'm stuck. Can't get the add new or delete to work and can't figure out how to set up a search to identify records for update or delete. I've read and read anything I can find online, in the Adobe knowledge base, forum, blog postings, trying out many ideas without any success.
    I am hoping someone can help with some suggestions, sample scripts, hopefully understandable by a beginner.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Stephen

  • LiveCycle Designer 8.0 Drop-down menu help - newbie

    I am new with LiveCycle and do not know much about coding and the like. I've search the forums and have not found quite what I need. (It might be because I don't know the correct terms to search - so I apologize in advance if there was a previous posting regarding this)
    I am creating a form for lab tests for referring physicians to fill out.
    for simplicity, I will just use the state, city example.
    >>>>>> QUESTION 1.
    I have dragged/dropped a drop-down menu icon onto the form, gone through the Palette>Object>Field>List Items to compile the list of states (in my real case, a list of lab tests)
    How can I get the second drop down menu to show the corresponding cities based on the "state" selected in the first drop down menu? So that when I choose "California" I have the option in the second drop-down menu to choose from "Los Angeles," "Orange County," "Long Beach," etc
    VERSUS
    if I select "Texas" the list will retrieve "Houston," "Sugarland," "Dallas," etc.
    I read about hardcoding and although I'm not quite sure what that means, I think that is what I will be doing as I will not be referencing outside of my form.
    Also, the items in these menus are long/descriptive in nature, is there a way to refer to the lists in the code without having to type everything out? In my form (instead of "state") I will have lab tests "Test_1" with CPT codes attached, that is the list includes items like:
    93880 - carotid duplex scan, bilateral
    93882 - carotid duplex scan, unilateral
    and in drop-down list 2 I have items like:
    454.0 - varicose vein with ulcer
    454.1 - varicose veins with inflammation
    it would be such a pain to type each out in the code, but if there are no other ways around it, that is fine too.
    >>>>>>> QUESTION 2.
    The referring physician will have the option to email this form to the vascular lab scheduler. To prevent an "accidental" changes, I would like the form to be a "live form" for people to fill out, but upon return, the form to be a static PDF file, that is, the person receiving the email does not have the option to make any changes (purposeful or accidental), is there a way to do this?
    THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!
    again, I apologize for asking for help for what I'm sure is an easy fix. I don't know very much about the coding language, if it is not too much to ask - step-by-step would be helpful.
    I'm using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0.
    Thank you.
    -Viv

    Hi Geo,
    Thank you for the link.
    Sorry, this is very difficult for me to explain not knowing the scripting language, but I will try my best not to confuse you too much.
    I was able to get Thom's example to work, and based on that, I was able to get this hypothetical situation to work:
    < script contentType="application/x-javascript" name="Example2" >var oTestOrdered = {
    12345678912345678: [ ["-"], ["AAA (Endologix)"], ["AAA (GORE)"], ["Aortic Arch"],["other"]],
    56565: [ ["-"], ["Varicose Vein"], ["Venous Insufficiency"], ["Spider Veins"],["Symptomatic Var Veins"]],
    46546: [ ["-"], ["TA biopsy"], ["CEA"], ["amputation"], ["debridement"]]
    function SetTestEntries()
    ICD9_2.clearItems();
    ICD9_2.rawValue = null;
    var aTests = oTestOrdered[xfa.event.change];
    if(aTests && aTests.length)
    for(var i=0;i<aTests.length;i++)
    ICD9_2.addItem(aTests[i][0].toString());
    </ script >
    HOWEVER, I cannot get something like this one to work (the only difference is that I added a "9" to the first option) it seems as though I cannot insert anything beyond 17 consecutive characters (no dashes and underscores are allowed either):
    < script contentType="application/x-javascript" name="Example2" >var oTestOrdered = {
    123456789123456789: [ ["-"], ["AAA (Endologix)"], ["AAA (GORE)"], ["Aortic Arch"],["other"]],
    56565: [ ["-"], ["Varicose Vein"], ["Venous Insufficiency"], ["Spider Veins"],["Symptomatic Var Veins"]],
    46546: [ ["-"], ["TA biopsy"], ["CEA"], ["amputation"], ["debridement"]]
    function SetTestEntries()
    ICD9_2.clearItems();
    ICD9_2.rawValue = null;
    var aTests = oTestOrdered[xfa.event.change];
    if(aTests && aTests.length)
    for(var i=0;i<aTests.length;i++)
    ICD9_2.addItem(aTests[i][0].toString());
    </ script >
    The form I am creating is a Vascular Lab request form, where the test ordered (drop down box 1)has a CPT code to reference the test being ordered (i.e., 93880 - Carotid Duplex Scan, bilateral) and the test has a set of diagnoses (ICD-9 codes) in drop down box 2, associated with that test (i.e., 459.81 - Venous Insufficiency)
    I have found that I do not have a problem with the "diagnoses" but I cannot add the descriptive test select in the first place. That is, the code works fine if I leave it as "93880" but not "93880 - description." I have also run into the problem that I cannot use dashes or underscores, nor can I type more than 17 characters otherwise the code no longer works.
    Is there something I need to add or remove in order to make this work?
    Thank you in advance for your help and patience!

  • Livecycle userform with dynamic table

    Hi Everyone,
    New to Livecycle Designer and was hoping this is possible - Can you have a PDF userform with a dynamic table below it?...
    Basically the user fills out a userform then clicks an ADD button - this populates a dynamic table below the userform then clears/resets the userform - as the records fill the table an EDIT button appears in the last column so that if the user makes an error with a record they could click the EDIT button, this would bring the record back into the userform fields so they could change the field(s) they made the error in then a SAVE button would replace the ADD button in this instance, clicking SAVE then changes the record and clears/resets the userform ready for more entries.
    At the bottom of the PDF there would be an EXPORT button which attaches the table as a csv or tab-delimited text file to an email message...
    If someone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated - I have googled and searched the forums for an answer but they mostly relate to importing data into a dynamic table from a database or xml file... I was hoping to directly populate the table with the userform.
    I also have a PDF example which illustrates what I am trying to achieve... but seems you cannot attach to a post... I can email it if someone has a solution, but needs to see it visually.
    Cheers

    You don't know the names of your columns? hmm you do, because before you created dynamic table you had to create field catalog, so the structure and column names of newly (dynamically) created table will be the same like defined in the field catalog.
    The last loop also does not look good, in my opinion should be something like:
    LOOP AT lt_datatable +(my first table)+ ASSIGNING <ls_data4>.
        AT NEW pernr.
          APPEND initial line to <fs_1> assigning <fs_2>.
          <fs_2>-pernr = <ls_data4>-pernr.
        ENDAT.
        ASSIGN COMPONENT <ls_data4>-wage_type OF STRUCTURE <fs_2> TO <fs_5>.
        <fs_5> = <ls_data4>-amount.
    ENDLOOP.
    also keep in mind that number of calls of method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table is limited to 36 (?) calls within one program session because it uses dynamic subroutine pool behind so you will have short dump if you will execute that 37 times.

  • Preview PDF crashes in LiveCycle Designer

    I'm new to LiveCycle designer and PDF development and am working through the first LiveCycle Designer tutorial. When I click on Preview PDF, LiveCycle crashes -
    MicroSoft Visual C++ Runtime Library -
    This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
    I am running on Windows 7, have Adobe Acrobat X Pro and Reader 9.4.0 installed.

    Thanks. I tried that and it did not work. Ultimately I fixed it by uninstalling Reader and installing the latest version.

  • LiveCycle Designer ES Rights Management

    Hi
    I am new to LiveCycle Designer ES (included in my copy of Acrobat 9 Pro) and am still trying to figure out if I can utilize the rights management server features (or if I would need to based on available features). While I suspect that this would require purchase of software additional to what is included in the Acrobat 9 Pro package, I am not sure about this. I've read what is available in the help guide and online, but I am still unclear about use of these extra features. If setting up a policy and restricting PDF content to make it more secure is available, this may be useful in a particular health project.
    I have a website (latest Windows server) managed by an ISP and am wondering if I could use this shared server as a LifeCycle Rights Management server. If I created a connection and policy for this server (not sure what is involved here), could I use it to better secure a PDF or form with sensitive (health) information?
    Any help, suggestions for reading, would be appreciated. I'm afraid I am not understanding this set of features, how to use them or if they can be used without additional purchase of software.
    Kind Regards,
    Stephen

    Yes additional software is required, as well as a https link to the server. The Rights management server is part of the LiveCycle suite and it will allow you to define policies that can be applied to various PDFs. These policies are kept separate from the PDF and are accessed via the https link I mentioned earlier. When opening the PDF the user must authenticate and based on his/her permissions in the policy the interface in Acrobat/Reader will adjust accordingly. For example if print is disabled then the print buttons will be greyed out for that form only. Because the policy is separated from the PDF you can change the policy on the fly and the next time the user opens that document the new rights will be applied. There is also a provision for working offline (no access to the server).
    This is just a 10000 foot view you may want to contact a Sales rep and have them start a trial for you.

  • Livecycle design 8 Help with PDF forms

    I am new to Livecycle 8. I have created a simple PDF form in Livecycle 8 which was orignally an excel form. I set it up with a submit button to submit by email to a designated person. The form is housed on an internal web site for viewers with adobe reader to open and fill out and then submit by email. The goal is for the designated receiver to receive the the same PDF form with the information filled out by the previous viewer. I was successful with the form being emailed to the designated person as long as the peson submitting the form was using adobe professional. If the viewer only has adobe reader, the form would not submit to the designated receiver. Please help?

    Reader does not allow a local save of the form and data by default. To be able to add the attachment o an email message a local save must occur. You can Reader Extend your form to allow for this. Open th eform in Acrobat Pro. Under the Advanced menu choose the "Extend Features in Adobe Reader". Follow the wizard and save the result PDF as a different name ....I like to put RE in the name so I know it is Reader Extended. Try the new file.

  • Can Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.0 do this...??

    Hi everyone, i'm new to livecycle and I want to know if this application can do the things I need it to do.
    Heres my situation,
    I want to be able to create a form (for example, a blog entry type of form)that has:
    -title
    -url link
    -message
    -upload picture / movie file / audio file ??
    *possibly more fields
    I then want to be able to EXPORT all this data as an .XML file and save it on a WEBSERVER after hitting the submit button.
    with that being said, once there are alot of entries, could it be possible that now when someone fills out the form, they will be able to see the 'titles' of past entries in a dropdown or list box, and have the ability to delete entries if they wish?
    --- what it comes down to is that I basically want to create a really low-budget content management system, where the backend will be a Dynamic PDF form....and the front end is a FLASH web template.
    the flash web template gets its information from the .XML spit out from the PDF.
    Can all of this be done? or am I way off
    THANKS for your help in advance!

    Ian,
    I don't know if you can use a PDF form to do an HTTP upload of a file. You can use an image field to allow a user to browse for a GIF, TIF, JPG, or PNG and include that in the submitted XML, but I don't know if it's possible to do something similar for other file types. I doubt it. PDF does support file attachments, but that functionality requires the user to have Acrobat or the PDF has to have usage rights enabled using Adobe Reader Extensions Server. Even if you assume that all your users have Acrobat though, attaching files in this way doesn't get the file into the XML form data like an image field does.

  • Controlling XML output Livecycle Designer 8.0

    Hello.
    I am new to XML and somewhat new to LiveCycle Designer, however I have acclimated rather well.
    Here is what I want to do:
    1) Create a PDF fill-in-form (including various fields...text, numeric, radio buttons, and some FormCalc functions)
    2) Create a Submit button that emails an XML file to the form administrator
    3) Use MS Excel to import XML files into pre-mapped fields
    Basically, I do not have server database support, and this is the best workaround (and most functional) I could come up with.
    After mapping fields in Excel, I exported the *.xsd and created a new data connection within LiveCycle. Then, I linked the schema fields with the bindings - corrected any errors, and have tested the form (form1). I made the submit button - that's all good, too. When I import the XML into Excel - that's where I have a problem, and it's not an issue with Excel to my knowledge, but rather how the form generates the XML output.
    For example, I have 25 fields that will be outputted via XML. My PDF form consists of 4 pages (8.5" x 11"). When I created the form and got to the end of the page, I "inserted new page" and went on my merry way. When I import the XML, Excel properly maps the fields, however, it does not import the info to a single row. What I have discovered is that since my PDF form consists of 4 pages (each bound to "sheet[*]"), the XML output looks like the following:
    Example of the XML output from my form:

    Wherever there is a "<form>" tag (hence a new page in my PDF document), Excel puts that data on a new column. All fields within form1 are imported and mapped to the correct field, however importing a single XML file will occur on 4 rows.
    I bound each "page" as "sheet[*]" mostly because that is the only way I knew how to use FormCalc to do calculations from fields that occur at different places throughout the document.
    So, I have tried to be as clear as possible, and would like suggestions/help as how to control the XML output from a LiveCycle document. If I am to modify the outputted XML and remove the multiple instances of <sheet> and </sheet> then Excel imports the data just fine and on a single row.
    I would love some help on this rather specific problem. I guess it's a very basic issue that someone with experience could help.
    Thank you so much!!

    I have a vital form that clients fill out, which is passed to many people in the company along the workflow. The form is a Planner and we have in the following PDF, Word Doc..
    Well before, the Planner.pdf was originally created in Word, since most people have access to Word.. but evolved to a PDF form created from the Word Doc via Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 w/ User Rights enabled so that the form could be filled out and saved using Adobe Reader.. which was a step better than Word.. being that it is free. But this needed to be easier and more to the point b/c some clients don't particularly like installing the latest version of Reader, even if you provide them the link. Nor do they like saving the form, filling the form, and attaching the form to send back.
    My goal is to have the client fill an HTML version of the form, submit and be done with it, but everyone in the workflow be able to easily receive the filled Planner as a PDF form.
    So some months ago I ran into this post Chris Trip, "Populate Livecycle PDF from mySQL database using PHP" #8, 22 Sep 2007 4:37 pm
    which uses the command line Win32 pdftk.exe to merge an FDF file into an existing PDF on the remote server, and serve this to whoever.
    My problem was with shared hosting and having the ability to use the Win32 pdftk.exe along with PHP which is predominantly used on Linux boxes. And we used a Linux box.
    so i created the following unorthodox method, which a client fills the HTML version of the Planner, all field values are INSERTED into a table in MySQL DB, I and all filled planners that have been filled by clients to date can be viewed from a repository page where an XML file is served up of the corresponding client, but someone would have to have Acrobat Professional, to import the form data from the XML file into a blank form.. altoughh this is simple for me.. I have the PHP file already created so that when a Planner is filled and client submits. >> the an email is sent to me with a table row from the repository of the client name, #, email, and a link to d-load the XML file,
    But I also have the PHP files created so that the Planner can be sent to by email to various people in the workflow with certain fileds ommitted they they do not need to see, but instead of the XML file beiong served up i need the filled PDF Planner to be served.
    I can do this locally with ease on a testing server, but I am currently trying to use another host that uses cross-platform compatibility so i can use PHP and the pdftk.exe to achieve this, as that is why I am having to serve up an XML file b/c we use a Linux server for our website, and cant execute the exe.
    Now that I am testing the other server (cross-platform host), just to use them to do the PDF handling (and it's only $5 per month) I am having problems with getting READ, WRITE, EXECUTE permissions..
    Si guess a good question to ask is can PHP do the same procedure as the pdftk.exe, and i can eleminate it.
    or how in the heck can i get this data from the DB into a blank PDF form, like i have described??
