New user, several problems...
My corporate guys set this up and there are srveral things wrong...
1. I have two inboxes; one called "messages" (mailbox icon) and one labeled with my new "mobile" email address (globe and envelope icon). All messages seem to go to both boxes, can I get one? Or even better, can I have emails go to one and text/pic messages go to the other?
2. How do I delete the "Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry" text from my emails?

you do have the ability to hide the extra mailbox icon. just hover over the mailbox icon and press the menu key and select hide. The messages icon is the one that collects all messages from the mailboxes you setup. yes you can seperate the mailboxes too. you need to open the messages, go to options and select keep sms and email seperate you will now have one icon for email and one for sms. in order to delete the signature you need to log onto the BIS site and delete them from there

Hi,
I'm trying to set up an account for my daughter and I'm have all kinds of issues. When I enable parental controls the account will not login to a the desktop. I just get the space screen and a spinning beach ball. When I turn off parental controls and just create a new user- standard account. The desktop loads but the mail app and skype won't work. A window comes up that says check your network. I know my network is fine because the main user account works fine as well as my laptop. Does anyone know of how I can fix these problems? Any advice is much appreciated!I am sorry i cannot help - but trying to set up new standard account on my imac it is causing me problems - i cannot get permission to access software?

I have the same problem that you answered firstly, it's a nightmare! I did what you said and I ran: studio5me-win-en.exe -is:javahome c:\j2sdk1.4.2_01. A file download appears with only the 'open' (not 'save') option availabe. When I press open, the old message appears (i.e. -is:javahome <JAVA HOME DIR> ). Please can somebody help me I desperately want to get this program running. I would appreciate it if you would reply to my email address ( [email protected] ). However, if that is not possible, I will still be grateful for your reply to this message.

This is my first BB and I am syncing for the first time. I have a Curve 8900 and the Desk Top Manager is version 4.7. I am hoping to work on the calendar, task, memo, and address book on my lap top and then sync to my BB. I have successfully transfered the Address Book to the Windows Contacts folder but when I try to sync the other applications the options that are offered are Yahoo or ACSII Importer/Exporter. I am not familiar with either of these programs and I am assuming that these are online programs. I am running Vista home version and Office 07 Home version. I do not have Outlook. If anyone can offer me some advice with respect to programs I can access or download it would be greatly appreciated.

New user with problems in Flickr
I'm a brand new automator user. I am going through the tutorial first few examples for using Automator on www.automator.us in order to get a general idea of what I can do with this program. I was able to get through the "Re-name Finder Items" just fine, but ran into a problem while going through the "Images from Webpages" section (http://automator.us/examples-02.html). I followed the instructions, it appears, exactly but am getting an error when running the workflow during the "Get Image URLs from Webpage" (2nd) stage. I am trying to capture the images from Flickr.
The error is this:

MaxI am also having similar problems waking the system from standby.
I had it in S1 and the power light and the hdd light both came on, but I got a blank screen and then finally it rebooted? So, I changed it to S3 and the system appears to shut down completely when I hit wake. I will try the different settings on page 3-18 per your comments above.
Also, I do have Cool n' Quiet enabled. -
Transferring iTunes to new Mac - several problems
I'm upgrading from an old MacPro, OS X version 10.6.8 to a new Mac Mini, version 10.10.2. iTunes versions 11.2.2 to 12.1.0. I updated iTunes on the New Mac, and registered the New Mac with the iTunes Store. I then connected the two Macs and transferred the entire iTunes directory from Old Mac to New Mac. But:
(1) I only see 39 of my 161 apps in the app view. The missing apps aren't listed at all.
(2) My play lists are all messed up - like they're old versions of the playlists
(3) All my Apple Store purchased music is listed as "in the cloud" rather than being local and resident on the New Mac, even though all the files transferred
(4) My Audible-purchased audiobooks are also not present in the library list even though all the ".aa" files transferred
Thinking I screwed up, I trashed the entire iTunes directory on the New Mac and did the whole process over again. And I checked in iTunes Preferences Advanced to ensure the library was pointing to the right directory.
Help! I really shouldn't have to re-download all my songs, re-download all my audiobooks, re-download ~130 apps, and rebuild all my playlists. Please tell me it is something simple.
Many advanced thanks.Moving a library: Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive. Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes. At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.
When this is to a new computer put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)
If you did the above and it did not work then sometime in the past you did something that changed the configuration of iTunes files on your computer. We will not know for sure what to advise unless you tell us what it was you did.
Longer answers if for any reason you do not think all library files are inside your iTunes folder (changed preferences settings at some point):

Make sure you understand the difference before electing to move only media. -

This is my first post and I am new to the world of Iphones. I have an IPhone 4. On my old notebook I have a whole heap of music which is also available on my memory stick. I installed ITunes on my original notebook and also on my work PC. Last weekend I had to reset my phone having done a jailbreak that caused my phone to keep crashing. The result of th reset is of course I lost all my music.
So, I plugged the IPhone into my notebook and opened ITunes believing I could move it all back. When I clicked on any of the songs in ITunes I got a message about the original file location not being found. So I gave up on that one. Then I thought I would try it from my work PC. I'm not sure how to copy the music so I figured I needed to use Sync but when I try to sync it doesn't work. Looking on google I found that it is because my identity on ITunes on the work PC is different to the identitiy on my iphone.
As I'm new and still not very familiar with IPhone and ITunes can somebody please help me to restore my music back to my IPhone?

CarolineYou're having this problem because your Video Files: Family Guy Episodes and other cartoon has specific Video Codec; Probably: DivX, which isn't compatible with iTunes/iPod.
The solution is you have to use this famous free iPod Video Converter: Videora

N97 mini New User, Annoying Problems
I just recently got my mini and I really do not know anything about it. The manual that it came with was not decriptive at all and I'm still trying to figure out how to set some features. If someone could relocate me to some forum or manual(and I've already looked at Nokia's), that'd be awsome. And also, I've noticed that when I'm in an application or a call and I go to end it with end red "end button", the phone is non-responsive. Instead, believe it or not, I have to use the teal "call button" to both end calls and applications. And when I first got my phone and was attempting to set the phone to my preferences, the phone was over-bearingly loud, as in the sound effects and ringtone were louder than I thought ANY phone could be, but the volume level said it was only at 3. I know it sounds really confusing, but that's my problem- I'm so confused by it, I have no clue where to start trying to resolve the problem!

The first ting I do when I get a new phone, is to make sure that i'm running the latest Firmware (OS+features update) from Nokia.
New updates brings new features, stability fixes, bugfixes and other performance improving moves to the device (usually).

Try that first, also try turning your device off and remove the battery for at least 5 mins before putting it together again and turn it on again. - Start with this.
If you cannot update or the problems you face don't go away, please post a bit more info of what problems youre facing - and what you've done to your phone; like installing what 3rd party apps etc...
Be quick as if there is real problems youre facing, you should take it back and get it replaced if it's brand new. -
Hi ... I used my ipod nano for the first time yesterday, and it worked like a dream ... I bought some songs and connected my ipod and they were all synced fine ... however, earlier I bought a few more songs, a game and a music video, but when I connected my ipod, I got a message saying "This ipod cannot be used because it requires Itunes version 7.6 or later" ... so I went to the web site and tried a few times to download and install Itunes 8, but I'm getting a message saying "Invalid Drive (E)"
Can anyone help me with this?

Drive E is referring to your windows computer... not the ipod...
on your computer... what is drive 'E'???
i assume drive 'E' is a cd/dvd drive (you cannot save files to cd/dvd drives)
typical computer has local disk 'C' as the main data disk.....
when you click on the download (if your not going to do thru itunes) change the saved area of the file to your desktop to reduce confusion. -
WHy is it that each time I get an upgrade some of my Apps won't work when they did with the previous version. I have just upgraded to v7.01 and now I cannot send email, wake up Apple and get it right as I am a new user of Apple technology and not impressed.
That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -

My sister gave me her old iPhone that she bought in UK, she she it here in the Philippines and i'm having problems because i can't use it. i already restored it to set it up new but i couldn't still activate it. It says, " Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached." and "The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Problem while creating a new user on solaris
I have a SUN ultra machine. Solaris 2.6 is installed on this machine.
I have successfully created a new user in this machine using "admintool"
Problem is I'm getting error messages when I'm trying to update NIS DATABASE.
I'm doing-

I wasn't able to add new users and change the shell variable while using admintool.
Login back into the console would simply not happen.
All i've been able to find is that changing the users' variable - i.e. .login or .profile to match that of a working existing user (root),
would skip over the problems.
Other variables in the skeleton files were helpful. I suggest you take a look at them. -

Problem in Accessing list of users while Provisioning New User in SS
Hi Experts!!
I am working on Hyperion Planning applications (Hyperion 9.3.1) & we have externalized user authentication in Shared services. During the process of provisioning new user in Shared Services, the problem occurs when I try to set the application access type as “Essbase & Planning” for the new user.
To assign the new user as “Essbase & Planning” user type, I need to select the new user from the list of available users which gets displayed on selecting global Analytic Server located under Project directory in Shared Services. However when I click on the analytic server, it shows *“loading”* on the right side screen & hour glass icon can also be seen on the screen. But the list of available users does NOT appear despite waiting for quite some time.
While I am not able to access it even if I logon to the shared Services directly from the Server using remote access, my USA team can access the list of available users locally from their machine as well as from the server & are able to perform the step. Our server is located in USA & I access it from India. What could be the reason for this difference? Any suggestions/ input from you would be a great help for me in solving this issue.

Thanks for your reply. My US team has tried this particular step from their local machine as well as directly from the Server. They were able to see the listbox containig the list of available users & could set the application access type as "Essbase & Planning" for the new user. When I remotely log into the server (using mstsc) I use the IE installed on the server to acess Shared Services. My US team also use the same IE when they log into SS directly from the server & are able to performing this step. Hence there should not be any issue with the browser ,port or firewall.
I agree this is very weird problem because I get stuck only at this step where I have to set the application access type as 'essbase & Planning" for the new user. Rest every thing else is accessable in SS.
Any suggestion / input would be great help.
