New Web Developer Tools interfere with my add-on

I use the add-on Menu Editor & have hidden the History & certain Tools. To access Menu Editor I simply press ctrl + shift + S Today however, a weird subscreen appeared at bottom of my browser. I figured out that under Tools there is an option for Web Developer (Debugger) that requires the same combination of keys to open. Now I cannot open Menu Editor at all. I tried to run in Safe Mode and could not get it to run in Safe Mode. I cannot access my add-ons at all because that is one button I have hidden.
How do I fix this? I don't care about Web Developer, don't know how to use it & most likely never will. I just want things to go back to the way they were before everyone starting messing around with firefox.

You might be able to switch one of them using the keyconfig extension from here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=72994
(Not helpful to you, but the NoScript extension also uses Ctrl+Shift +s and somehow it overrides the built-in debugger shortcut.)

Why are web developer tools not available on Firefox for Android?

I do some freelance web design. I just replaced my laptop with a tablet last year (Samsung Galaxy 10.5 S). I want to do web development on it - I work from a terminal doing Ruby on Rails and web development all the time. It would be awesome to have the F12 developer tools handy in Firefox for Android, but sadly I've waited for a while and there is no indication they will ever appear.
Do NOT suggest using a remote debugger - I'm not testing the layout of pages on my tablet, I want to be able to profile, view source (without an add-on) and such. I have seen this exact question marked closed by suggesting remote debugging, and I fail to see how telling me to use my tablet next to a laptop or desktop is a solution. Telling me to carry a second device means I don't need the tablet at all, when my intention is to ONLY use the tablet.
My tablet has a huge screen resolution and a powerful processor - more powerful than some laptops? Why is Firefox for Android neutered? I would understand disabling it by default to help those with less powerful devices, but why remove something that would add a competitive edge to your product, and is already integrated in desktop Firefox and has been for years? I prefer Firefox, but if Chrome adds web developer tools for Android first, I'll switch to Chrome.
There are people today using a tablet as their sole computing device. Please do not relegate us to a second-class Firefox experience!

Web Developer Tools option must be installed

Hello Experts,
I have been working with Visual Studio Ultimate 2013. Today when I tried to open a solution, it tried to convert the solution and showed me error like
"The Web Developer Tools option must be installed prior to opening or creating Web projects. You can install this option by repairing your Microsoft Visual Studio installation and ensuring that 'Web Developer Tools' is checked in the list of optional
components."
I goggled about this and tried to Modify the Visual Studio 2013 ultimate by enabling the Web Developer Tool. But here I am getting the other error like
Unable to Locate Package Source.
What should I do now? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Actually based on your error message "Unable to Locate Package Source", I recommend you download a new copy of VS2013 Ultimate ISO and use it to repair or install that component. Please remember that the ISO should match the hash, you

iWeb is not working for sending podcasts to iTunes, so I need a new web building tool. What is the closest thing to iWeb that I can use, which also supports podcasts?

There's no reason you can't go on using iWeb for this - with iWeb '08 you have to publish to a local folder (i.e. on your Mac) and then upload the contents of the folder (not the folder itself) to your hosting service: and you have to make sure you enter the new URL in the Publish information or the feed won't work properly; this done, an iWeb podcast should work fine.
Of course there is still the problem that iWeb is not supported and sooner or later a system upgrade may break it. You could look at RapidWeaver: you can make podcasts with that, though the last time I looked into that - which was admittedly some time back - I didn't feel it was ideal for this. There are lots of other podcast creation programs or services around. WordPress is OK but it may be a bit of a steep learning curve: Libsyn is an online service that seems to work reliably. Blogger writes messy feeds but does usually work. Podcast Maker used to work well - I used it myself a few years back - but it rather looks as if it's gone moribund and it may not be reliable with Lion/Mountain Lion, so you would want to check into that.

I downloaded the web developer tool bar and after using it my images are gone. I use google and a home page and the big google is gone. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it but I still don't have any images. How can I get them back?

Two days ago I downloaded the web developer tool bar (aus2.mozilla.com). I tried to use it but gave up. I deleted the tool bar.
I don't have any images anymore. I use Google.com as my home page (default) and the large GOOGLE isn't there anymore. I've also noticed some of the sites I use don't have the continue or next or enter keys anymore. It seems the only thing I have now is the text.

Are you sure you are looking at the Google page?? In Firefox 4.0 the default homepage / Start Page in Firefox was changed to '''about:home''' which looks a lot like the former www.google.com/firefox homepage.

Okay so I downloaded and installed Firefox and then tried to download the web developer tools recommended by Nadia (http://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer), but apparently I don't have the program to open the .xpi file to install these tools. Any advice?.

I'm ready to drop Firefox because Scratchpad repeatedly opens anytime I have to Capitalize anything and at no time have I ever used the Web Developer tool

Have used Firefox for many years on multiple computers. On the home desktop, anytime you need to CAP a letter, Scratchpad opens instead. Every single time!
This is only having on this one computer, none of the others.
I have completely uninstalled, cleaned and purged Firefox from this computer multiple times. I have run multiple virus checks. I have done the Firefox reset multiple upon multiple times.
Yesterday I completely uninstalled every scrap related to Firefox I could find on the system, did a system clean to get rid of hidden and duplicate files, and with what I hoped was a clean system, reinstalled the latest version of FF. Same problem.
WHY is Scratchpad coming up anytime I hit the Shift key?
Somehow the developer tools and Scratchpad still show up and ultimately the problems start again.

I can understand your frustration with this issue - especially after you are running into this issue after resetting your computer too.
Can you please check if the scratchpad comes up, if you disable the setting ''devtools.scratchpad.enabled'' by setting the value to false. You can do this by following the instructions in the Mozillazine about modifying the configuration of Mozilla [http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config Editing About:Config]

Just upgraded to 10.9. was hoping it would fix the bugs in the last system. now my Epson scanner won't work. Downloaded their newest software. No go with the new OSX. Why would Apple roll out a new free upgrade that interferes with Epson?

Just downloaded OS 10.9. hoped it would fix bugs from the last version. now I can't use my Epson perfection 4870 scanner. Cehcked with Epson. They say the software is an Apple update. checked with Apple-No Go.
For now my Scanner just won't work. I'm surprised Apple would introduce new OS material -free- which compromises a good vendor like Epson.

My issue is a large amount of money spent over many years on computers for my company, myself, wife and sons. Got an investment here
The company I favor, Apple sent me a message that they have a wonderful new Maverick operating system.
I send documents back and forth to friends and people to do business. Hoped maverick would fix the bugs from Leopard.
With Maverick system, my main document sender, Epson perfection 4870 and its software doesn't work anymore, or so it seems to me.
Checked with Apple, very apologetic, they can't help, maybe it will be fixed in a couple of days...
Epson, referred me to Apple...
I still ccouldn't send documents.

I didn't know that- not in the Apple help area, can't find it in their manual, their help line couldn't give me a clue to something as obvious as this
So, lot of money over the years. Plenty of smart, well compensated folks writin code at both companies. I can't keep up with tit all, they don't keep up with each other.
Bottom line Apple releases a product that doesn't work well for a lot of little people like me. Maybe some clear expanation would help re:Macjack..
I certainly don't understand all the ins and outs of a zillion dollar computer behemoth business model. Do know this though, If I ran my business like this customers would go somewhere else and some would probably sue me.
