NewBee question - Table Formatting
Hello,
I created page with table ( ui:table) bound to Oracle database. It was as easy as it should be, but now I need apply formatting to result table.
I tried ...following my .net experience... replacing #{currentRow.value['BRN']} with #{numberConverter1(currentRow.value['BRN'])} but it doesn't work.
Is there something in jsf like DataFormatString..or maybe some other way how to manipulate forrmating in result table? (other then modifying sql query).
Hi,
It does happen at times. But its great to find the solution right?
It would be nice if you could share the solution. The rest of the Creator community can also benefit from it.
Happy times with Creator :-)

Question about exporting FBL3N data in Pivot table format
Dear all
I have a question about the "exporting file" function of ECC 6.0.
We started to use ECC 6.0 system, and it appears that we are no longer able to export "FBL3N data" to a local PC in pivot table format.
Is there a way to do it?
We used to be able to do so when the system is 4.6.
I appreciate your support!
Kind regardsDear:
You can do that. Execute report FBL3N with desired GL account in it. After when report has been executed right click on it. There will be an option Spread Sheet. Select all available format. In drill down select 08 (Excel in existing XXL format) and press OK. There you will get pivot table option for downloading., Hope this will help you resolve your query.

How can I create a matrix question? Specifically, I need a question in table format that allows each respondent to list a number of events and then data for each event (date, location, number of participants, topics covered, etc.
Hi,
Sorry, we do not support a matrix-question field. Please try the multilines text field (where your participant can enter multiple lines in the input text box) and see if it works for you.

.Really, really bad idea.
There is never any need, in any implementation to display or even keep actual passwords.

May i know how to get it in a tabular format as an
outputAs in a GUI? Then that is a GUI question not a JDBC one.
Something else? Then you need to explain exactly what the destination is and what defines it as 'tabular'. -
Customizing Pivot Table format in answers
Hi,
I have some questions about formats of a Pivot Table.
1) I want to change the position of row headings in Pivot Table view, show them on the right side of the table. Is there any way to do that? The reason is to show "results" column (sum on the columns in results tab) only for one part of the table, like | data | results | data |, combining two reports with the same rows edge to edge. Maybe it's a bad idea, but I don't know better way...
2) In the report we make links on values in the table grid to another report (detailed). But while exporting to Excel they became not numbers (and not summable), because it adds a space after a number. Overriding the default format by "number format" is not helpful. Can I control format while exporting?I'd make sure the default compound view has only the objects you want to show (ie pivot, title), Remove the table and your all set. That should do it.

Importing XML destroys tables formatting
Hi!
I have an xml file containing my document translated into another language. When I import this into my Indesign CS4 document, the info in the tables, although it is imported correctly, removes my alternating row fills.
I have checked the origin xml file, it contains no info about alternating row fills, neither does the new xml document. So Indesign decides to scrap it by itself.
Question is, is there anything I can do to stop it from doing this, or otherwise simply restore the tables design so I don't have to manually go in and fix all tables from scratch?
(The tables part were tagged using the autotag feature)
Best regards
KristianDid you use a table style?
I don't know much about XML, but I suspect if you want table formatting to be preserved it would need to be defined as a style.

Radio Validation Widget Blocked by table formatting?
We are building a form we will be using to assess user
satisfaction with our application (university employee development)
and it contains a number of likert scale questions (one a scale of
1-5 this best addresses . . . . ). The likert scale is displayed in
a table format.
The problem is that the spry Radio validation widget
(radioRequiredMsg) will ONLY display if the table formatting is
suppressed. The table formatting appears to be blocking the spry
validation.
Anyone have any idea why this is? Or how we could solve this
problem?
Please HELP!
thanks in advance
mHave to use the following as suggested by KPSeal:
// If you're using a JMenuJMenu menu = new JMenu("Menu 1");menu.getPopupMenu().setLightweightPopupEnabled(false); // If you're using a JPopupMenuJPopupMenu popupMenu = new JPopupMenu("Popup Menu 1");popupMenu.setLightweightPopupEnabled(false);

I have a pre existing script that we used in CS and CS2 to reformat a pre-existing table.
I won't include all the VBScript but what it basically does is this -
-Take an existing frame that already has a table.
-Then the borders are changed and the text is aligned.
-Then a dialog box appears and you can then select colors for different cells, etc.
-After doing that the colors are filled into the different cells.
The script has worked in both CS and CS2 perfectly (other than making few minor changes like setting the Application to CS, CS2).
After trying it in CS3 instead of reformatting the table it strips the borders completely and then adds a table above the existing table/text.
My question is if anyone knows of any major changes in CS3 for Table Formatting?I have walked through the VBScript and it appears that the line that doesn't seem to work the same is this -
Set myTable = myStory.Tables.Add
This doesn't reformat the text into a table but instead adds a table above the text.
Any ideas would be great! -
Asset acqusiton list - table format display
Dear Asset experts,
can you please advise how to get list of Asset acquistion (report S_ALR_87012050 - RAZUGA_ALV01) to ALV format?
There is only a hierarchical view which is difficult to export to xls table format.
When I click "ALV format" in selection screen got message "Use of ALV grid not supported for hierarchical lists!
Message no. AB063"
Or there might be another non-hierarch. report for asset acquistion for AuC? (AuC/value/Inves.order/tr.type)
thank you for your effort
P.Hello Pavel,
With regard to your question a few years ago, you could modify the view output ALV?

I am converting old PageMaker files to InDesign files. It appears to copy the data over properly, just that the tables are really wacky when it comes to formatting. It makes huge gaps between the cells, and i have to go resize each cell.
My question is, is there a way to copy a tables formatting to another table? Mainly font, font size, and cell size?
Table and Cell styles appear to do nothing.Thanks Wayne - I've been working on my AppleWorks to Numbers comversion using the Apple key - D method to duplicate tables.
I do have to retype column headers (these change for each table)
If I could paste formatting, I could copy the entire table from imported spreadsheet, paste formatting, and Wah-Lah.
Oh, Well the Apple Key - D method (re-entering column heads - type once and then Ctrl-C & a bunch of Ctrl-Vs) is WAY easier than reformatting each table manually.
Only slightly painful to have to re-enter all the cell references for the summed-column totals in the sub-tables into the main table
I've been using the same spreadsheet (w/ minor tweaks from year to year) for the past 12 years... it ain't broke & I'm grumpy about fixing what Apple broke - computers are such timesavers... sigh

How can I convert my css code into table format?
Wasn't sure how to word the title, but what I am trying to do is post my html code generated with Dreamweaver CS4 into craigslist for an advertisement I designed. Craigslist seems to only accept "TABLE FORMAT". I just learned enough to design this AD using css, now do I have to go back and learn table cell coding? Is there something I am not aware of like a conversion or something that will work?
Thank you very much for any help, I am very anxious to get my ad placed.Example of the accepted code:
<table border="0" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" width="100%" id="table4" align="center">
<tr><td width="125"><b><font size="2" face="Verdana">Contact Name:</font></b></td><td><font face="Verdana" size="2">Patrick</font></td></tr>
You must have an old HTML editor because that isn't INLINE CSS CODE. It's deprecated HTML code. It might work OK on Craig's List... but <font> tags won't pass W3C validation in XHTML doc types.
To express what you have above using inline CSS styles without tables would like this:
<p style="font:16px Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, Sans-serif; text-align:center"><strong>Contact Name:</strong> Patrick</p>

How to put check box in a table format at the out put ? Urgent issue...
Hi,
I am working an assignment to assign multiple roles for multiplr user.
In selection screen we have to enter mutiple EMPNO from ..to
1) in second screen we will get the empno, First name, last name, Position,
From date, To date, Sap user ID, Email id in the table formate with first
column with Check box.
2) In second screen below the table I have to place the multiple roles just like in
the step loop format and below this one Execute button should be there.
If we select the multiple employees or single employee and place the multiple roles or single roles and if I click the execute button then the multiple roles will be assigned to the multiple employees. The empno and roles will come from table and step loop to internal table and the same will pass to the BDC.
For this requirement I prepered recording for Transaction PFCG. But I can't understand how to design the second screen that table format and the step loop format. Can anybody give any idea or any coding to design the second screen.
and how to meet the requirement. This is urgent issue. Good SDN points will be reworded.
Witing for kind response.
Thanks in advance.
BansidharHi upendra
There are slight changes in the sivas code.Where is the data coming into the table.If its from a Model Node then iterate each element of the source node get that value compare and set the corresponding value in the element of the node binded to table.
Create a boolean attribute "select" in the table node and bind it to checked property of the check box.
for(int i=0;i<wdContext.node<tablenode>()..size();i++)
if(wdContext.node<tablenode>().get<tablenode>ElementAt(i).select())
wdContext.node<tablenode>().get<tablenode>ElementAt(i).set<yourattribute>(true);
else
wdContext.node<tablenode>().get<tablenode>ElementAt(i).set<yourattribute>(false);
See the attribute is boolean so pass true or false as a values in setter methods.

How to fire a Alert Message in a table format
Hi friends,
Currently im performing an Alert. My requirement is i need to display the alert message to the user in the mail in a table format.
But i couldnt perform that, as the alert is not displaying in a properly aligned table format.
Can you friends propose me a right way to bring the alert in a table format with two columns.
Thanks in Advance..
Regards,
SaroI agree w 936671, do this in PL/SQL. Much, much easier.
However, I will recommend a different approach using PL/SQL.
1) Create a package to send the emails. Sample code:
create or replace package cust_fnd_utilities as
procedure send_email( p_sender in varchar2,
p_recipient in varchar2,
p_subject in varchar2,
p_message in varchar2);
end cust_fnd_utilities;
create or replace package body cust_fnd_utilities as
procedure send_email( p_sender in varchar2,
p_recipient in varchar2,
p_subject in varchar2,
p_message in varchar2)
is
v_mail_host varchar2(30);
v_crlf constant varchar2(2):= chr(13)||chr(10);
v_message varchar2(10000);
v_mail_conn utl_smtp.connection;
begin
v_mail_host := 'localhost';
v_mail_conn := utl_smtp.open_connection(v_mail_host, 25);
v_message := 'Date: ' ||
to_char(sysdate, 'dd Mon yy hh24:mi:ss') || v_crlf ||
'From: <'|| p_sender ||'>' || v_crlf ||
'Subject: '|| p_subject || v_crlf ||
'To: '||p_recipient || v_crlf || '' || v_crlf || p_message;
utl_smtp.ehlo(v_mail_conn, v_mail_host);
utl_smtp.mail(v_mail_conn, p_sender);
utl_smtp.rcpt(v_mail_conn, p_recipient);
utl_smtp.data(v_mail_conn, v_message);
utl_smtp.quit(v_mail_conn);
exception
when others then
utl_smtp.close_connection(v_mail_conn);
end send_email;
end cust_fnd_utilities;
2) Build the email, then call the package from step #1. Sample code:
create or replace package cust_fnd_monitoring as
procedure profile_options_build_email ( p_errbuf out varchar2,
p_retcode out varchar2,
p_sender in varchar2,
p_recipient in varchar2);
end cust_fnd_monitoring;

procedure profile_options_build_email ( p_errbuf out varchar2,
p_retcode out varchar2,
p_sender in varchar2,
p_recipient in varchar2)
is
v_subject varchar2(100) := 'erpgamd1 - Recent Profile Option Changes';
v_mime_type varchar2(100) := 'Content-Type: text/html';
v_body varchar2(10000);
v_line_feed varchar2(1):=chr(10);

3) In your alert, do not use an email action. Rather, your action should be a SQL*Plus script that calls the package from step #2. -
Query on report display in table format on 7970G
Hi,
I know how to use the xml objects to display data on Cisco IP Phone using Ip Phone services. Now I want to generate report in table format on the phone.But in the xml objects available there is no option display data in table format .
Should I have to use BTXML for that ?
or do I have to diaplay it as an image ?
I want to keep the first row as heading and the rest of rows I should scroll and view.
Please let me know how to do that .Please also provide any sample documents or links.
Thanks,
PeterI've never really seen btxml in the wild.. it may be used in environments where people use Cisco phones but connected to SIP proxies, and not callmanagers. I don't think this is the place to discuss btxml.. I've never seen a single mention.. you might find people in Asterisk or similar forums though.
Now, your screenshot shows a CiscoIPPhoneImage.. behind it is a simple PNG image, at a resolution of 298x168 and at 24bits (the shot looks like from an IP Communicator). Depending on the phone type, the resolution varies (IP Communicator and 797x phones have the same resolution but different bit depths, the 7965/54 have a lower res and 16bit, the 7921 supports a resolution of 176x140 at 16 bit).
It's probably easier for you if you stick to the CiscoIPPhoneImageFile instead of the CiscoIPPhoneImage because PNG is a standard, whereas with CIP you either write your own library, or you create a GIF in your code then use Cisco's code to convert that to a CIP file.
For your reference, here's the latest IP Phone services developer guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/all_models/xsi/6_0/english/programming/guide/XSIbook.html. It contains detailed information about every CiscoIPPhone element, including samples.
Creating a PNG file pro grammatically is a bit out of scope of this forum.. you need to figure that one out on your own but there are tons of other boards on the web that deal with that kind stuff. Once you have the PNG, creating the appropriate CiscoIPPhoneImageFile object will be a piece of cake. Once you have your PNG generation in order and still have trouble getting the object to the phone, it would be appropriate to continue here.
