Nexus 5548UP Downgrade from 5.1.3.N1.1 to 5.0.3.N2.2b fails -- SRG file not present/cannot be opened

I am attempting to downgrade from 5.1.3.N1.1 to 5.0.3.N2.2b for standards compliance.
When following the ISSU steps for validation of the install all command I receive the following error on the following command:

I followed some recommendations from this post https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2108814
reload to clear temp and cache
show system internal flash
checked md5sum of image
I found this information http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus5000/sw/deferral/Deferral_Advisory_Notice_N5K.html
I am unsure of how to upgrade when the steps to validate indicate a problem with the upgrade/downgrade.
I still receive the error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Attached are the steps done so far and outputs.

I had already created a case with our reseller.  The engineer there had me reload the 5ks and attempt the show install all impact again.  When I did it was successful.
I was able to then downgrade to 5.0.3.N2.2b.  I am currently working to duplicate the issue by going back to 5.1.3.N1.1.
The engineer also stated that I was probably running into this bug:

    Hi David,
Is NX-OS 6.2(1) the correct version? The reason I ask this is because as far as I'm aware this release is not officially available at this time. I've just checked again and there are no release notes or download option for NX-OS 6.2 on CCO currently.
Assuming you've not made a typo in the release you're trying to downgrade from, the best advice I can offer at this point would be to attempt a multistep downgrade to either NX-OS 6.1 or 6.0 first. It may be that a single step downgrade from NX-OS 6.2 to 5.2 is not a supported option, but as there's no documentation for NX-OS 6.2 at this time we don't know.
At least if you can get to either a 6.1 or 6.0 release, then when you attempt the downgrade to NX-OS 5.2 it'll be one shown as supported.

  • I tried to download my photos from the memory card to my computer but I got an error message of  " file not found ". What would cause this ?

When I inserted my memory card from the camera into the computer it opened the Adobe window. I clicked on the get photos icon and the process of downloading to the computer began as usual. But when it was complete an error message came up No file found. Now I cannot open anything to view any of my previous photos. How do I fix this ?

The Camera Connection Kit works with SD cards, not Memory Sticks.
Maybe you can find an MS to SD adapter, or use the USB connection with the USB cable that came with the camera.

I'm not sure if you are asking if you can or telling us you are doing it, either way if you can you may need to get the media from Lenovo, or stick with 8 and wait a month then get yourself Windows 10

  • How to downgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1

How to Downgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1?

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

  • How do I downgrade from ios6

I don't like apple maps. How do I downgrade from ios6 so I can get google maps and streetview again?

It's a pity one cannot downgrade, google maps streetview was really good.
My local underground station has a sign explaining "iphone ios6 users can get a paper map from the information stand". I believe someone wrote it on there. Did make me laugh. I hope Apple get to grips with their maps version, perhaps they could have waited until it was somewhat better. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

  • My latest attempt to import photos from my slr resulted in an error.  Something to thew effect of file not compatible.  never had this problem before.

My latest attempt at moving photos from my slr to iphoto resulted in an error, something to the effect of file not compatible.  Never happened before.  Made about six attempts...no change.  any ideas?
    Thanks

What system and iPhoto versions are you using?  What camera model and are you shooting just jpegs or RAW or both?
See if you can launch Image Capture and get it to recognize your camera.  If it does then download the photos to a folder on the Desktop to get them safely on the hard drive.
See if the files can be imported into iPhoto from that folder.
Reformat the memory card with your camera, take some test shots and try to import into iPhoto directly.

  • Nexus 5548UP snmp gathering information from FC is not working

    Hi all,
We have a couple of Nexus 5548UP.
    Nx-OS = n5000-uk9.7.0.5.N1.1.bin
monitoring traffic of FC interfaces was working fine until we upgraded to 7.0.5.N1.1 from 6.0.2.N2.1.
We didn't change anything on our Nexus config and on our Centreon monitoring engine.
I also can't see Fc interface while browsing MIBs from the Nexus.
Is there any issue or something to do to recover the monitoring of The FC interface of the Nexus ?
    Best Regards
    Cyril

    Hi,
    It might be this bug.
FC interfaces are not listed in IF-MIB snmp walk

  • LMS User Tracking for NEXUS 5548UP

    Dear,
A while ago I received a ticket from one of our customers because User Tracking was not working for NEXUS 5548UP on LMS 3.2. I opened a TAC case for this but this was normal since it is a Datacenter switch. Now the customer came back on this because they really want to see which server is connected to which switch port. I understood from the TAC engineer this is not on the roadmap to integrate in LMS 4.x. They want to know if there exists another product (they thought about DCNM) and wanted to know how this integrates or works together with LMS...
    Kind regards,
    Sven Laureyssens

My latest understanding of User Tracking and Nexus 5K series is that it is not supported due to a limitation of the MIB support in the NX-OS.
The current DCNM (release 5.2) is distinct from the LMS and Cisco Prime umbrella but that wil be changing a bit moving forwad as DCNM is enhanced and rolled into the Cisco Prime family. Last I heard there should be some information coming out of Cisco Live this week and a new release will have some additional functionality and better integration. Still, I doubt we'll see UT for the 5K due to the NX-OS limitation.
One way to do what you're asking apart from use of any of the Cisco products is to enable LLDP on your Nexus and servers. That will at least give you the ability to pull the information from the NX-OS command line ("show lldp neighbor")

  • C-200 M2 with P81E to Nexus 5548UP

    Hi all,
I'm working on a project which is about to set up a Cisco UCS Lab.
Actually the topology looks simple and easy but there must be some missconfiguration on my side because i can't see any of IDs (P81E's wwpn and mac address info) from the Nexus 5548UP.
I connected my 5548UP to MDS 9124 for providing the FCoE traffic to the C-200 Farm.
Then i configured the MDS with NPIV and converted couple of ethernet ports to the FC ports on 5548UP (which i'm using to connect to the MDS)
Finally i connected my C-200M2's VIC to the 5548UP but i couldn't see any information about server. The ports actually are up. But can't see nothing.
Some help and advises will be appreciated.

    Padma,
Right now i connected the N5548 directly to the storage for that reason you can not see the fc uplink connections on running-configuration.
    On Nexus 5548 ;
Ethernet 1/1 and Ethernet 1/2 are the server ports (P81E)
Ethernet 1/15 is the Uplink Ethernet port
Fc 1/31 1/32 is the Storage Ports
Storage has been configured for the wwpns and LUNs.
And here is the configuration :

  • Nexus 5548UP L3 card swap out for L2 cards

    Hi everyone,
I have two Nexus 5548UPs and I am going to swap out the L3 cards and put in L2 cards.
I can't seem to get a straight answer out of TAC so I thought I'd try here.
How will this affect the current configuration (apart of course from removing the L3 capability)?
Will swapping the cards clear the config?
Will swapping the cards clear the licenses?
It's a very simple config so that doesn't worry me that much .. but if it will clear the licenses installed than I need to take action on that.
    Thanks,

    any idea ???
Confused as both switches have same lic installed.
    Thanks in Advance.

After the port type has been changed from Ethernet to FC, the FC port will not be enabled on the switch until FCOE feature is enabled:

  • Nexus 5548P vs Nexus 5548UP

I have a question regarding Nexus 5548UP which is supported from NXOS 5.0.3 on.
I assume thats the absolute indentical hardware as the Nexus5548P which was available a little bit
earlier and had also the HW ready for support Unified Ports on all Ports (but was just enabled on expansion-module).
Is it possible by SW upgrade to 5.0.3 to make a 5548UP from a 5548P ?
    Thx
    hubert

    Thx Lucien,
then there is absolutely no reason to buy the 5548P, because 5548UP has same price, and no reason to buy another expansion-module than the UP(has the same price as well compared to the other expansion Module ?
So I assume 5548P and the pure Eth-uplink Modul, and the mixed FC and Eth-uplink Modul will have very limited lifetime ?!
One additional Question: I read that in case a 5596 has L3-Modul built in , it no longer supports the maximum numbers of FEXes  it supports only 8 then.
Is this a limitation which will remain, or is there a chance new NX-OS Versions will break thhis limit

  • Connecting many Brocade switches to Nexus 5548UP

    Hello,
I have a SAN network composed of few separate PODs. Each POD is divided into SAN-A and SAN-B. Most of those PODs are Brocade switches (FOS 6.1). There are also few Nexus 5520s. Now, we have built new core infrastructure with Nexus 5548UPs and many MDS 9148s. We would like to move all servers and sotrage from old Brocades to the new SAN. As we cannot move all devices at the same time, all segments must be connected to the core for some time. Each POD has different zoning. Some zonings on Brocade switches are based on PWWN, some on Domain ID and Port ID. In my opinion, the only way of successfuly connecting all PODs together is to merge zones manualy (in excel, etc). and paste them on all switches. However, maybe there is some other way of merging all zones? What if I leave Nexus 5548UP in native mode (so zones from Brocade will not get merged), and only implement that manually merged zoneset on Nexus 5548UP? Will the ISL links get isolated due to zoning merge failure? Or they will maintain operational state even if zones are different on each POD? I do not have any lab boxes, so I cannot test it. Any advidse will be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Krzyszof

well since you can not cluster the 45K as a virtual switch ( Cisco with new sup will start support VSS in the 4500 try to check which sup exactly and if you can upgrade as this will make a significant improvement to your design )
anyway the only method that you can use currently is the traditional way which is depending on STP ( use rapid-PVST)
from each N5K use one separate link to each 45K and STP will put on of the links in blocking mode
however you might do some STP and vlan design for load sharing where you can send vlan x over link1 and vlan y over link b to the 45K using STP cost

  • Nexus 5548UP with 1Gb ether to 10Gb ether on same switch

I have a Nexus 5548UP switch with a couple of systems some of which have been configured with 1Gb nic's running various OS's and other that have 10Gb nic's.  When I try to SSH from 1Gb box to a 1Gb box everything is fine, when I SSH from 1Gb to 10Gb box it does not work but 10Gb to 10Gb boxes will work.  The switch is a fresh install and has one VLAN 51 the first 2 ports are setup with LACP and the only differences is speed of 1000 and 10000 for the boxes attached.  Is there some trick or additional configuration that is needed to make 1Gb to 10Gb work for SSH and other applications?  I trying to setup some test boxes now to have a repeatable environment and will update when completed.

I have a laptop connected to a port on the switch and I am currently adding a SUSE 11 SP2 to another port that has a 10G card for a NIC.  Once I finished the install I will post more specific tests using ping and SSH to illustrate.
