NFS sharing multiple loopback images gives empty dirs

Question

Hello!
I want to share multiple DVD/CDs mounted as loopback iso files from a single Solaris10u6 server.
On the server i mounted the two DVDs:
# /etc/init.d/nfs.server stop
# mkdir -p /mnt/dvds/x86
# touch /mnt/dvds/x86/NOFILES
# lofiadm -a /sdarray/isos/sol-10-u6-ga1-x86-dvd.iso
/dev/lofi/1
# mount -F hsfs /dev/lofi/1 /mnt/dvds/x86
# mkdir -p /mnt/dvds/sparc
# touch /mnt/dvds/sparc/NOFILES
# lofiadm -a /sdarray/isos/sol-10-u6-ga1-sparc-dvd.iso
/dev/lofi/2
# mount -F hsfs /dev/lofi/2 /mnt/dvds/sparcThen I added the following line to /etc/dfs/dfstab
share -F nfs -o ro,anon=0 -d "DVDs" /mnt/dvdsAnd restarted the NFS server and checked the exports and that there are files in the dirs:
# /etc/init.d/nfs.server start
# share
-               /mnt/dvds   ro,anon=0   "DVDs"
# ls -al /mnt/dvds/x86 | wc -l
      20
# ls -al /mnt/dvds/sparc | wc -l
      20Ok! I surpose this is fine. Then on the client (also Solaris10u6):
# mount nfsserver:/mnt/dvds /mnt/dvds
# ls /mnt/dvds
sparc  x86Cool! Here are the roots for the two DVDs BUT the directories do not contain any files:
# ls -la /mnt/dvds/sparc
total 0Not files from the DVDs OR the 'NOFILE' I created in the directory before I mounted the DVD on it.
And still no files if I do:
# umount /mnt/dvds
# mount 192.168.1.14:/mnt/dvds/x86 /mnt/dvds
# ls -la /mnt/dvds/
total 0I am not sure why this is not working because if I had shared '/mnt/dvds/x86' and '/mnt/dvds/sparc' on the server and mounted them on the client, by calling mount twice, it would work fine.
This is not acceptable because this requires a mount for each new DVD (and sys administration).
Can anybody tell me if this is a bug or how I else can share my '1 million DVDs' using one share and one mount command?

NFS shares filesystems independently. So sharing a directory on the root filesystem (/mnt) doesn't descend into your other filesystems (/mnt/sparc).
You have to share the additional filesystems explicitly.
Being able to traverse multiple NFS filesystems automatically on the client requires client support and NFSv4 (sometimes called "mirror mounts").
