NI-DAQmx 8.5 download file bad?

I have tried downloading it twice, and when I try executing it I get a window that says "NIDAQ850.exe is not a valid Win32 application."  Is there a way I can run a checksum on the file to see if it is corrupted?  Can someone tell me what the checksum should be?
Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad,
I have download the file and runs fine on XP machine. I have attached a program to read the checksum of files. On my end it was "1981745157" (decimal) and the file size is "849488672" bytes. Other problems might include some restriction with your IT department and EXE files.
Hope this helps,

  • Names of downloaded files appear in Downloads Window only if that window is open during download. I run Firefox 4 on windows xp 32 bit sp3. I didn't have such problem with Firefox 3. Can somebody please help me?

    When I download a file with firefox 4 Downloads Window opens but downloading file name doesn't appear there. If I keep Downloads Window open further downloads appear in it but if i close it and reopen it again it appears blank, all downloaded file names are disappeared. I tried everything, unchecked "Remember download history" box and checked it again, deleted downloads.sqlite file, even created new profile but nothing helped.

    It is easy for me to explain things badly, and I can not see what you are actually doing, I will therfore try to list as steps to take.
    Please confirm that you have used firefox safe mode and still see the problem, by doing the following:
    # open firefox - use any profile
    # use '''Firefoxbutton -> Help -> Restart with add-ons disabled'''
    # you should now see an options dialogue with a list of check box options,
    #*you may get a confirmation option, if so accept it
    #* do you now see the listing of check boxes, with a continue button at the bottom
    #without making any changes, click the continue with safemode
    # firefox should now restart in safe-mode
    Now try the downloading, whilst we know you are in safe mode.
    # once a download has completed, use the option to open the containing folder that you see in your download manager
    ## does that option work ok,
    ## does it open a folder with downloads in it, make a note of the folders path/location/name
    ## do you see the downloaded file you just downloaded
    ## if so regardless of what the downloads folder says you have found the downloads
    ## close firefox and the folders with the downloads
    ## are you now able to reopen the 'containing' folder and find the downloads <br />( use Windows Explorer, not clicking on firefox, - firefox is closed)
    ## close the folder again
    ## open firefox, this time no need to be in safe mode
    ## look again for the containing folder whose name you noted down, does it still contain the downloads
    #'''IF''' you are getting problems now that you are in safe mode read the article about [[Unable to download or save files]]
    ## the article has several steps it suggests you try,
    ## please try all the steps in turn and report what happens with each step

  • AIR Badge + RewriteRule fails - Downloaded file is not an air file

    Hi everyone!
    I'm not entirely sure my problem comes from RewriteRule but I've searched this forum for topics on corrupted AIR files and the Install Badge and tried almost every possible tip with no luck so I thought maybe my special issue comes from it...
    Here we go:
    I have a server-side script that builds AIR apps which are supposed to be installed (via an Install Badge). Those AIR apps are not stored at a public URL (for security reasons) but read (via PHP) when a specific URL is called. Let me give you an example (with fake paths) :
    The server-side built AIR app is store at /srv/data/air/myApp.air
    A RewriteRule redirects calls to http://www.my-server.com/air/999.air to http://www.my-server.com/air.php?id=999
    The air.php uses the GET id to read the AIR file :
    header("Pragma: public");
    header("Expires: 0");
    header("Cache-Control: must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0");
    header("Cache-Control: private", false);
    header("Content-Type: $mimeType");
    header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=$name;" );
    header("Content-Length: ".filesize($path));
    readfile($path);
    With $mimeType="application/vnd.adobe.air-application-installer-package+zip" and $name="999.air"...
    When accessing the rewritten URL directly with a browser, everything is fine: the AIR file can be downloaded and installed as expected.
    But! When using an Install Badge linking to that URL, I get the nasty "The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged" message...
    And here's what's stored in .airappinstall.log:
    Starting app install of http://(...)/9889.air
    UI SWF load is complete
    UI initialized
    Downloading file to C:\Documents and Settings\Quentin\Local Settings\Temp\fla19D.tmp
    Received HTTP Response Status event
    Response URL is http://(...)/9889.air
    Downloaded file is not an air file.
    starting cleanup of temporary files
    application installer exiting
    Hum... And I'm stuck.
    Thoughts?
    I have multiple Install Badges in the same page, do you think this can break things?
    I've try adding the AddType instruction in a .htaccess file but it didn't change a thing...
    Thanks in advance!

    OK, I've got news.
    Bad news.
    In fact I realized the appurl set in the Install badge is (obviously) not called directly but by a script located at http://adobe.com/apollo... So your my session is not available in the script that is called and that reads the actual AIR file. So I can't check wether the user requiring the file has the right to. At least, not the way I intended to do it...
    I will keep you updated if I find something!

  • Download files are empty. .part files have to be renamed

    When I download files, the file will be empty, and there will also be a file with the extension of .part that contains the actual file. Sometimes it will have the same name and other times it will have a string of letters and numbers for the file name. I do a rename to get rid of the .part file and I delete the bad, empty file. It's a pain to have to do all that.

    The only restrictions were to disable the dictation and to hide the profanity. I unchecked those and tried it again. Same problem.

  • Cannot download files from the internet

    Two G4 Macs, both on OS 10.4.6. Desktop (ethernet connection) will not download files/apps -- hit the button and it very quickly flickers and says "done" but nothing has downloaded. Laptop (Airport connection) will download correctly from the same sites. Have repaired permissions, and have tried turning off firewall (Norton) with no result. Obviously some setting in the desktop, but I'm perplexed...

    Hi Michael,
    hit the button and it very quickly flickers and says "done" but nothing has downloaded
    That description sounds like a bad/incompatible SpeedDownload installation. Do you recall installing that in the past?
    Either way, try going to http://www.yazsoft.com -> Downloads and then download the installer by control-clicking/right-clicking on the download link and choose "Download Linked File". Once downloaded, run the installer, but select the Uninstall option.
    Give your browsers a restart and retry after trying the uninstallation.
    Edit: All Comp's are Model T's, try the same procedure as well. Hopefully $5 will be on their way to me

  • ERP 2005 / Unicode / Japanese char's in download file.

    Hi,
    We login with language = JA and executes transac. ME2L. The output appears on the screen and now we want save a local file *.txt.
    However, since this is output with Japanese characters, the vertikal graphic characters that generates the frame for the downloaded content looks odd.
    The vertikal lines are broken and not straight anymore.
    This is the right side of the page and frame. Because of the Japanese user, these downloads look bad.
    Any suggestion ?
    Thanks.

  • ADF: how to download files?

    good day,
    does anyone know what the best way is to download a file to the client side using ADF? is this a trivial thing to do? i can find docs online on how to upload files using ADF but nothing for downloading files using ADF.
    initially, my thought was to use the FacesContext ResponseStream; but quickly realized that facesContext.getResponseStream returns a null with in my backend bean. so, i decided to bypass ADF and use HttpServletResponse's ServletOutputStream and simply write to this object. this works fine but ran into another problem, this comletely bypasses the ADF framework. after downloading the file ADF does not know what state it is in (i.e. my pages do not get updated). nothing gets updated via ADF.
    a second approach was to to kick off writing the Servlet OutputStream in a separate thread and have the backend bean return first. well... ran into another problem: java.lang.IllegalStateException: getOutputStream() has already been called!. obviously, i do not understand how the response mechanism works for servlets :-( it appears that per request the ouputstream can be only written to/flushed once.
    so if anyone has a way to correctly download a file using ADF please share.
    thank you

    Lius,
    thank you for the link. i read through it.
    for a existing file on the server a redirect works. but what if i do not have a physical file on the server and i simply want to write it from memory to the client side. i would like to write an outputstream object from the server directly to the user's browser.
    from the backend bean i do the following:
    ServletOutputStream out = response.getOutputStream();
    ByteArrayOutputStream outputStream = getOutputStream();
    // Reading the bytes through buffered input stream and writing the
    // presentation to the servlet output stream in the form of bytes
    // using
    // buffered output stream\
    while (-1 != (bytesRead = bis.read(buff, 0, buff.length))) {
    bos.write(buff, 0, bytesRead);
    // Flushing the buffers of Http Response. this is bad for ADF.
    response.flushBuffer();
    and once i flush the buffer here it returns to the client and the user can than download the file but it completely bypasses the ADF framework and i am unable to make any ADF callbacks (i.e. send messages or use adf progress bar) :-(
    is there a way to download a file to an ouputstream without having it on the server side as a file.
    thanks for you help,
    joon

  • DAQmx C Reference Help file pack?

    Hi all,
    I'd like to download the latest version of DAQmx C Reference Help file pack.
    Where can I find it?
    Thanks
    - George -
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi George,
    If you download and install the latest DAQmx driver from http://www.ni.com/support/daqmx you can install it and you will get the C reference help with it. After installation you can find the C reference help at Start->(All )Programs->National Instruments->NI-DAQ->Text-Based Code Support->NI-DAQmx C Reference Help
    I think, you cannot download directly only Reference Help packet for the newest version of DAQmx (9.3 now). You can download the latest DAQmx 3.x Base C reference directly (http://digital.ni.com/manuals.nsf/websearch/C4B5B92E74F160C6862574560065F8BC), but it is from 2008 June.
    I hope my reply is an aswer for you question. If you have any other question, feel free to write again.

  • Couldn't find the Download files

    Sorry today i had a very stupid question.
    Im serching for the download files of Netweaver Enterprise Search. But in Marketplace i couldn't found them.
    I read the installation guides wich said that the Files are on https://service.sap.com/swdc --> Download --> Installations & Upgrade --> Entry by Aplication Group --> SAP Netweaver --> SAP NW Enterprise Search ...
    But this Link i couldn't find in the Marketplace. I try to search the Software but there are no entries found.
    Could anybody say me where i can found it or ne we an extra Lizenz ?
    Thank you for your answers and sorry for my bad english.

    Hi Carsten,
    SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search is licensed separately from SAP NetWeaver standard components.
    Based on the description you provided, it does not seem that your organization is licensed for the product.
    You might want to discuss this topic with your SAP account executive.
    Hope this helps.

    Joseph

  • IPod seen by Windows, not downloading files ...

    Tried the '5R' bit. Didn't help. Let me see if I can explain.
    * Purchased iPod for my wife for Christmas a month+ ago
    * Downloaded iTunes and created a fairly large library of MP3 files from our CD collection. Use iTunes regularly on Windows, no problem.
    * Got the iPod out of the box today, and followed directions.
    * Plugged it in.
    * iTunes sees it, entered information for iPod name, did registration stuff. [NOTE: each time I plug the iPod in and iTunes sees it, it brings up the "Setup Wizard", which is kind of pointless ...]
    * It said it was updating the iPod. It showed it was copying the library file by file.
    * It copied the files not to the iPod, but to: C:\iPod_Control in a folder there (they MP3 files in the library are in a folder called "C:\MP3s" and stored in folders there for individual CDs). This now doubles the disk space used on the harddrive, but also did not copy the files to the iPod itself.
    Suggestions? What did I do wrong? Is it me, the software, what?
    When I plug the iPod in, it is seen by iTunes. It shows the library of files, but in that other folder. How do I know? I go to the iPod menu, select "Settings" and "About" and it shows zero songs, zero videos and zero pictures (have no videos or pictures set for download, just trying to be complete). Any help will be gratefully accepted.

    Thanks. The problem appears to be that the iPod was not being recognized by Windows as a drive. I had to go do some weird jumping through hoops. The computer wanted to map it as drive 'J:' which had a reference to my hard drive that had been mapped for my network -- am not quite sure why. But I could not get the computer to assign as any other drive letter (I am sure it's something I've just forgotten). Anyway, once I unmapped the drive 'J:' mapping, suddenly the iPod showed up as drive J: and I was able to start downloading files to it. I am still doing it, but I think it's working. I should note that I had previously deleted the iPod folder that I mentioned in the first post first. As noted, it apepars to be working, so we'll see. Thanks!

    Moderator moved thread from Premiere Pro forum to AME, and trimmed the title.

    Looks like one component in Media Encoder is either missing or corrupted somehow.
    Could you uninstall Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 and please make sure all files are deleted after uninstall?  Then, please try re-installing it.

  • How do you transfer your adobe creative suite cs5.5 from one laptop to another. I bought downloadable files from the Adobe website; I did not own physical cds.

    I bought a downloadable file when I bought Creative Suite CS5.5 for my laptop, which has now become slow and laggy. So I bought a new laptop and have downloaded trial versions of CS5.5 on to it, as suggested by information online, only to type in my serial number and it tells me that it's unvalid. I'm a college student and spent a lot of money to have this compliation of programs, and I do not have the money to invest into CS6 quite yet, as my needs are met with the previous version.
    Is there any way to transfer the creative suite from one computer to another, as I've tried many and have been unsuccessful.

    No, transferring between machines does not work.  You need to install using installation files.  You can download thru the following and use your serial number to activate...
