NI PXI-785XR C calibration drivers

Hi!
I'm deploying a calibration program for NI PXI-7853R boards in Visual Studio with C drivers.
I found a C library with .dll converted functions from LabVIEW when I installed niRIO driver but when I call "AdjustExtCalibration" function in C, I don't know what parameter should I enter as "(uint16_t) Action", I suposse that some define exists in a library to enter the action but I can't find it.
Thanks for your Help

Hello Marton,
I have searched our internal database for similar cases and almost all of them ended in sending back the device to NI for repairs.
Best regards,

  • PXI 4070 use DAQmx Drivers

I have replaced a PXI 4060 card with a PXI 4070 card in a PXI 1042 chassis that I use for resistance measurements.  I want to use DAQmx drivers instead of the traditional daq drivers.  How can I do this?
My controlling software is VB6.  I have had issues with traditional daq on Windows XP machines with new NI installations.  Errors indicate there is an issue with the traditional daq drivers.  The sample applications installed with the niDMM 2.7 installation error with message "Error Loading Driver Module".  I have used the palbase utility in the past to work around this issue, however, the palbase utility is not failing to change the base address.  There is an error message associated with the failure, but I figure I may save myself the headache by switching to DAQmx drivers.

I would recommend upgrading to the niDMM 3.0.4 drivers found here.  This version is still compatible with Visual Basic 6.0 and Windows XP.  niDMM 2.7 would have installed NI-DAQ 8.5.  The name indicates that it is traditional DAQ, but as far as I can tell, version 8.5 was only DAQmx.  3.0.4 will also install a newer version of DAQmx that is compatible with XP, as well as the examples.  It seems that the version you have should have worked, but there may be some corruption, or there may have been a version of traditional DAQ 8.5 at some time (we had some versions of NI-DAQ that included both traditional DAQ and DAQmx).  I hope this helps!

  • Use of PXI 4070 for calibration with CalExec

    I am running CalExec 3.1
NI 5421 and 5422 cards need the DMM  NI PXI-4070 for the calibration. Can I use HP 34401A instead of that?
    Thankyou,
    Poornima

    Hi Poornima,
Yes you can use the 34401a. Test Exec uses IVI so you can choose which IVI device you wish to use.
    Hope this helps,

  • PXI-4204 External calibration

I’m looking for the external calibration procedure for a PXI-4204 card. Also is there a way to do the calibration with Calibration Executive?
      Dan

    Hey Dan,
Unfortunately we do not offer a customer external calibration procedure for the PXI-4204; the card must be sent in to National Instruments for external calibration.  The price list for external calibration is located here.

  • To what limits (lower and upper) are the PXI-6052E boards calibrated for their various gain settings?

I am trying to get some boards calibrated by our metrology lab, but I can't find the relevant information.

I've viewed all, and downloaded most, info at the link that you've mentioned. Unfortunately, the data I'm looking for isn't there. In the E Series Calibration Procedure document, there is an extensive listing of tables that contain calibration data points for a variety of E series boards. However, the 6052E board isn't listed. Elsewhere on the ni website, there is a note to use the 6034E/6035E tables for the 6052E boards. These tables do not contain all the gain settings for the 6052E. I would assume that the 6052E boards were factory calibrated at all possible gain combinations.

  • Using Calibration Executive for PXI-5610 using PXI-5124

    Hi guys,
We've been trying to calibrate PXI-5610 but the Calibration Executive software pop up an error of PXI-5122 requirement but we don't have the module, we have the PXI-5124 instead. We have tried to use the unsupport but it's not working too.
We have found that their resolutions are different

    PXI 5122 http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/12615
Is this the cause of error? Is it possible to use PXI-5124 instead of PXI-5122?

  • Calibration of PXI-5695 RF Attenuator

NI PXI-5695 Specifications, RF Attenuator (NI document 375125C-01) indicates a calibration interval 1 year.
    1. Is there a published National Instruments calibration procedure for the PXI-5695 RF Attenuator?
    2. The PXI-5695's that we have purchased did not come with calibration data or a calibration certificate.  Is there an option to purchase the PXI-5695 with calibration data?
    Thanks,
    Darrow Gervais

    Hello Darrow,
There is not a published calibration procedure for the PXI-5695 RF Attenuator. You would need to send in your PXI-5695's to be calibrated by National Instruments. Here is NI's Calibration Services page: http://www.ni.com/services/calibration.htm. If you choose to have your device calibrated, you can choose from several types of calibration reports: http://www.ni.com/services/calibration_compare.htm.
For new devices, NIST certificates are kept in an online searchable database here. National Instruments products are calibrated at manufacturing, so a newly purchased device will be NIST traceable. The certificates are searchable by the serial number of the device. The following link has more details on NIST Traceability Certificates: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/3459F092CEDE62C6862575A0006900F6.

  • Carte PXI-6682H non reconnue dans MAX

    Bonjour,

  • I do not have the daq assistant vi on my labview 2010 and have found no drivers for it what should i do

I do not have the daq assistant vi on my labview 2010 and have found no drivers for it. I downloaded the service pack but  that did not have it either what should i do.

    Hi Youzhang He,
Did you install LabVIEW first on your PXIe 8102 before the drivers?  Most likely, you're missing LabVIEW support for your DAQmx drivers. Fortunately, this is an easy fix. What you should do is open Add/Remove Programs, select National Instruments Software, select Uninstall/Repair. In the window that pops up listing NI software, select NI-DAQmx 9.x and select Modify. In the window that appears, expand Application Development Support and select to install LabVIEW support.  From here complete the install process and restart your system.  LabVIEW support should be installed and DAQ Assistant should appear in your palette.

  • Calibrating PCI cards using Calibration Executive?

I am currently calibrating PXI cards using Calibration Executive (3.2.2) and a PXI-1050 Chassis, my company is getting ready to start buying PCI cards, specifically PCI-6542 and PCI-6713. What additional equipment will I need to purchase so that I will be able to calibrate the PCI cards? If the PC I am currently using does not have enough slots to accomodate additional cards is it necessary to buy another PC or is there a chassis that will let me calibrate the PCI cards outside of a PC?

    Hi Rick,
I went ahead and answered your other thread here.  We like to keep the questions on our forum to one thread to make it easier for future customers to search.

  • Read Calibration Due Date with Labview

    Greetings Everyone,
I figured out a way to read the configuration of my PXI-1044.  I would like to read the External Calibration section of the Calibration Tab in MAX for my PXI-5114 and PXI-4065 (Last Calibrated and Recommended Next Calibration Dates) by using Labview to read it.  The preferred format I am looking for is similar to the configuration of my PXI-1044 that extracts data in a Tab delimited format.  Thank you in advance for any information that this forum can shed on this subject.
    Regards,

    Hi Dennis,
Thanks once again for your reply.
I searched all examples that are loaded into the computer and the search came up empty for the file you mention.  I even searched for the file on Google and stil came up empty.  Is this file something that came with Labview 2011 or Labview 2012?  If so I don't have access to that since all computers are running Labview 2010.
I appreciate your efforts in helping me out.  I'm still a little confused as to what System Session Refnum is to be expected on the input of Measurement I/O>System Configuration>Hardware>Property Nodes (Hardware).  Looking at the slew of stuff that the property node offers and tying a couple to Text Indicatorsto them it looks like the stuff I'm after.  The only thing I would need is to connect the PXI-4065 and/or PXI-5114 to this node in order to extract the data that I need.  Property nodes are very new to me and I'm sure they can be very useful.  This information is going to be used for a Test Rack Self Test program that I'm developing above and beyond the embedded self test protocol that NI has in its software.  I look forward to your response or anyone elses that will push me forward in my education of this software package.  Thank you in advance.

  • IVI error will not run PXI cards calibration

I had an NI automatic update done a week or so ago and it wiped out my ability to run NIMAX, Calibration Executive, and see any of my PXI card plugins. I am using a PXI-1033 mainframe and calibrating multipe PXI cards. I was able to fix NIMAX and I can now see my mainframe and cards in the mainframe, but I cannot communicate with the cards.
