No burner software found...

I try to burn CDs from my windows vista HP computer, but iTunes says "disc burner or software not found..." I know I have a burner on my computer, how can i get it to register it??

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
Sorry, just this minute went to insert image and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content is not allowed?.
The most recent key I altered is in: HKey _local _machine. System\class - 4D36E965-E325-11CEBFC1-08002BE10318. Upper Filter data: Upper filter NTIDrvr SiRem GEARAspiWDN.

No Burning Software Found

Hello All,
I'm running the current ver of Itunes for windows. I get an error every time I open Itunes that states " Warning the registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning cd and dvd are missing this can happen asa result of installing other cd burning software please reinstall I tunes" I have reinstalled with no success any help would be appreciated

You dont need ANY CD/DVD burning software on your Mac

CD Burner Troubleshooting: No Burner Disc or software found

I've had my iMac for just a couple months, slowly learning the ropes. I successfully burned a few CDs, but then one day it suddenly started giving me an error message when I click on "burn disc." It said: No Disc Burner or software found.
I tried to go to software updater under the apple/software update, but it told me there was no software that needed updating.
Any guidance?

Can you burn at all?
Does your burner show up in System Profiler?
To run System Profiler, select 'About This Mac' in the  menu.
Then click on the 'More Info...' button.
Expand the 'Hardware' section by clicking on the triangle.
Your disc burner can probably be found in 'ATA', otherwise try 'Serial-ATA'
Also check 'Disc Burning'. This should give more details about your burner.
On your system it should say at 'Burn support:' Apple supported or something like that.

Disc burning software not found?

Trying to burn a cd, and it says that the disc burning software isn't found, but I recently burned a CD. How do I fix it?

I've been struggling through this problem with little help from Dell and NONE from Apple. I receive the same error message. I've updated drivers, bios, uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes, even bought an external usb cd/dvd drive. No success! Apple is pretty lame when it comes to fixing problems. I don't know why people are drinking the Apple cool-aid. Their software and support are no better or worse than in the Windows environment. Maybe worse. At least you hear back from other hw/sw companies.
I don't know what the fix is or when it will be fixed but iTunes 8 is crap.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". (If you're running iTunes 11.0.x you'll need to bring up your menu bar first to see the Help menu.) Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

When you get through to the final screen:

Have burned hundreds of cd's in the past four years...burned one an hour ago...went to burn another and when i hit burn to disc was told no cd burner or software found...what happened and how do i get the driver or whatever back...not real computer savoy
