No 'content' support (jpeg, etc.) in 3i?
In Discoverer 3.1.44, I can create a report which includes BLOB columns, and in the administrator I specify the CONTENT of a column to be JPG. In the user edition (3.1.44) I can then create a report and double-click on the JPG to display the image. Nice.
However, there seems to be no way to display the image in the 3i (web) version. Bummer. Am I just missing something?
I solved it by changing to saaj 1.3 downloaded from https://saaj.dev.java.net .

i am having problems opening iTunes! ever since I updated to 10.5.3ver, I cannot open the application. I have deleted iTunes and all associated apps (bonjour, Cloud, Apple support apps, etc) and still something is wrong. I cant find it anywhere; where did it go? Love Acrobat XI, but when I installed it became the default program to open all my photos. I'd like them to open in theirr native (JPEG, etc. format) How do I disable the PDF default conversion ? Cant' find anything in Preferences that works.
Sounds like a file association issue in Windows. Right click on the files of interest and select Open With>Choose Default Program and select the program you want used (be sure the "always use" box is checked. The Acrobat installation should not have done this change, but this is the process to make the change on each file type.

Photo Stream only supports JPEG, PNG, TIFF and RAW files.
I'm using Panasonic LX3 with its RAW format (a supported RAW format since sometimes with iPhoto '09 already)
When I choose to Photo Stream my images after import with iPhoto '11, it says "Photo Stream only supports JPEG, PNG, TIFF and RAW files."
My files are RAW formats so why can't I photo stream it?!
Is there something I can get around or need to wait for Apple to support this?!You don;t have a preset set. What you are seeing is normal behavior when importing Raw files.
What you see at first is the camera produced JPG preview imbedded in the Raw file. Aperture puts this up while it decodes the actual Raw data. This JPG has all the special settings and enhancements set on the camera and is basically the image that would be produced if you were shooting JPG.
As a rule none of the settings on the camera (apart from the basics) are applied to the Raw file though some of the newer cameras have settings that could affect the data stored in the Raw file.
This is a often asked question by those just getting into Raw and you can search the discussions here for other answers to this question.
Given the capability of today's cameras, especially the high-end ones, a lot of users have decided to abandon Raw as unnecessary if they are happy with the images the camera produces. It's all a matter of personal needs.

I loaded Mac OS X v10.7 Lion yesterday. Everything’s running fine, except for a simple problem. Any time I want to copy a file, JPEG, etc., I am prompted “Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this.” I don’t want this!! Is there a way to unlock “Finder” or rid this process?
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. You can demote it back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

The ARD agent ones vary depending on installation; that one looks like a language localisation.
Nothing to worry about. (and it and any others will appear everytime you repair permissions).
As long as the message 'permissions repair complete' is given, there is no fault. -
When I load cds i get a message that states, "User not registered for online use." This problem has only begun since the new itunes update and is only a problem on my pc laptop. Media content (track names, etc.) do not load. Thanks

Thx in advanceI feel your pain. I awoke this morning to check my text messages on my iPhone (I'm away working in Norway) only to notice a text my girlfriend sent over the night. The title bar over the message listed her Italian mobile number instead of her name. I thought that odd, only to realize that virtually all of my contacts have disappeared from the iCloud. Even more strange, there appears to be no order, rhyme nor reason, or any form of sense as to what has been deleted. If this (and a few other issues I have with post-Jobs Apple) is indicative of Apple's trajectory, they're not going to be around long. I'm beyond ******-off over this and I'll be thinking very hard about buying Apple products in the future.

VinayI run AE 8 at work, and I have absolutely no problem with Jpeg 2000 stuff. I don't see why you would on AE 10.
And if you don't have it already, go download the latest version of Quicktime 7. Don't get Quicktime 10 or X or whatever they call it: it's a train wreck ready to happen. If you steel yourself to spend an extra 35 bucks, you can get Quicktime Pro, probably one of the most versatile little pieces of software available. -

Apps are not in iCloud. They are in App Store and you can access them through iOS device.

Deliver new Content (Cubes, Objects etc.) via AAK
Hi there,
We have developed a project including InfoCubes and related Objects, Queries and Process chains etc.
Now we would like to continue and distribute it by using the SAP AAK.
So far we have not been able to. It was not possible, because all our Objects were "forbidden". We figured out that we have to set our system to a "content-system", but how to continue - no idea.
My question is: has somebody already used the AAK for bi-content and knows those problems or has somebody a plan how to get from content to the final AAK-package?
