No Dashboard Display under Reports and Analytics - AC 10.0

Hello,
When I try to access the Dashboard reports under Reports and Analytics menu in NWBC, I do not get any display.
Instead, I see something like x at the top left hand corner and it keeps loading indefinately.
I have instead Adobe Flash Player 10.0.....Do I need to install another software (like Crystal Reports) to have this display showing graphs and stuffs?
If yes, what other steps do I need to perform to get this graphical display out?

Hi Hemant,
The user has all authorizations. I have even given the user admin right to the user.
The behavior of the explorer is as if there is a feature that is not activated or installed as it does as if it wants to open...but it now comes out with a cross like sign.
The only requirement I saw in the installation is guide is for adobe flash player which I have since installed. Are you aware of other tools to install to display analytics n reports?

I created the showModule.xhtml in the web.view.module\src\main\resources folder and test the application and Now I'm getting the error in both deployment ways.

Weird Shimmering Display Under Arch and Ubuntu Linux on GT72-QE with GTX 980M

Just bought one of these laptops to run CUDA applications while on the road and all went smoothly until I installed Linux and then activated X (Gnome/Unity/XFCE). I first noticed this under Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and the behavior is the same Ubuntu 14.10 LTS, 12.04 LTS, and even Arch Linux. In all cases, I used the 346.59 NVIDIA display driver either obtained through the Edgers PPA or manually installed.
What I'm seeing is The laptop display shimmering as if the horizontal sync is slightly off. External displays look fine.
I've updated the BIOS of the laptop to the 10R version from March and that had no effect.
Has anyone gotten this thing to work under Linux (any linux distro) with the discrete GPU active? If so, how?

Another guy here with the same problem. We have to create a platform of users. We have spent a lot of money on our equipment; we deserve some quality costumer support. The problem is clear and the solution seems straightforward. It would not take a lot to fix our situation, but we need to team up.

Nouveau driver is stable, but does not do the job. Nvidia-346 makes the screen flicker. Switching to integrated graphics (through windows) ubuntu runs perfect. I have tried everything during the last weeks.
I am new to the forum and I have very little time for myself; somebody please take the lead. It wouldn't be the first time I see costumers getting together and achieving support.

Does the graph plot area occupy all the space within the graph window? If not, that may explain why you are seeing the white space. You may also want to try and customize the graph portlet within Portal and adjust the graph size to see if that helps.

Display @ interactive Report

Hi,
Login to the application, and run the report as developer account. After running the page, click on interactive report Action menu --> select columns. Select the columns which you want to display in report and move them to Display in Report list box, arrange the order of the columns as per your requirement. Now Click on Apply. Now you should be able to see the new columns on the report page.
To make this report setting available for all the users, you have to save this layout as default report setting. To do that, click on Action menu -> Save report . Select default report setting and then click on apply. This will save the current report as default report for all the users and they can see the newly added columns.

Displaying a report in Java instead of using DHTML or ActiveX

We have Crystal Reports XI release 2, and BusinessObjects XI release 2
We were using ActiveX to display our reports, and have switched to DHTML, which displays a more modern looking menu. (There are probably other reasons, too). But the ActiveX display behaves better: the menu at the top continues to display even when scrolling down the report, and the spacing matches what it looks like when printed. Our customer is complaining about the DHTML report viewer, because the text is more squished together, and then there is a lot of white space. The reports when printed look fine, but they often just view the report on the screen. (And the menu scrolls off the screen when going to the bottom of the report.)
We're calling the reports using a URL that includes the OpenDocument.aspx and the document number from BusinessObjects.
I checked into the Java viewer, and it has the more modern menu, but it stays on the screen, and it also has the same spacing as the ActiveX viewer. We think it should make the customer happy. We've looked at the documentation, and it says to call the report using OpenDocument.jsp in the url.
It won't work. It tells us the report can't be found or the request completed (another guy did that part -- I'll ask him for the details if necessary).
When we're in BusinessObjects, and displaying the report (whether by ActiveX, DHTML, or Java), the url at the bottom of the screen includes 'report_view.aspx'. So we're wondering if there's something in BusinessObjects itself that we need to change in order to use the Java viewer.
I've googled and not found any references to this problem (which doesn't mean they aren't there, just that I haven't found them). It seems odd that no-one would complain about the differences in display between the ActiveX and DHTML. And it doesn't appear that anyone else is having problems using Java. Can anyone give us some guidance? Thank you.

From what I remember, there are just too many runtime dependencies (handling callbacks, asynchrony, etc) to use a web service control outside of a container.
As far as using clientgen within a project, I usually just have a separate build script to run clientgen when I need to, but you are correct, it certainly can be a pain.
There are in fact plans to make clientgen much easier from eclipse. I'm not at a level to speak to any details, schedules, etc., but if you have suggestions for how you'd like things to work, etc, please post them here.

Cannot display Crystal Report with ActiveX Viewer

I am using SmartViewerActivex.asp in a classic ASP website to display Crystal Reports and the report will not load.
I get a blank grey screen with only the toolbar showing but able to export out with data intact.
I am using CR9, running in Windows Server 2012 R2 IIS 8.5.
I've already spent about 2 weeks and have not found an answer. Please HELP!

Unfortunately, no help available. I suspect when CR 9 released in 2002, Win Server 2012 was not even a twinkle in Bill's eye. E.g.; you are looking for CR 9 to be 10+ years forward compatible. In other words, it is not supported on WIN server 2012.
Possible option is to upgrade to CR XI R2 (v. 11.5). There you have a weak prayer and hope. With luck it may work. Note that CR XI r2 was the last version of CR to include the AcitiveX viewer. And CR XI R2 has been out of support for over 2 years now.
Best bet: CR SDK for VS .NET or CR SDK for Java. This would mean a new app...

How to un-group columns on my the report and how to add an export to PDF

Hello OBIEE developers...
So, I have this report with about 7 columns, I just submitted to my boss he came back saying "Don’t group the columns, the users typically want to see data on each row".... I am not quite sure what in the world he is talkign about, do I need to report each separate or if separate how do start that? I am sorry I am new to this area, some of my questions might be senseless..
Also, on the same dashboard I am required to add an option where users can export the dashboard to PDF, how do I go about that?

Right, may be that's what I should have said: once you've opened the dashboard then I need to export it as a dashboard. How do I that? There is a way, my predecessor was able to do it. I have a report with a print as a pdf on the dashboard with pdf icon on it (its a separate dashboard from the report) and you are able to print it as the pdf doc. I just can't figure out how he was able to do this,
Any idea?

Financial Reports and LCM 11.1.1.3

Trying to migrate reports from DEV to PROD. I export the xml file from LCM on PROD via 'Application Groups'->'Reporting and Analysis'->'Repository Objects'->'Reports'. Then on the target system I run the 'File System' to bring them in. However I can't run them on the target system. So I goto change the 'Database Connection' on each report to the current environments conntection 'DEV'. Problem is the drop down is not giving me the original connection from PROD to change it to.
Am I missing something on how to migrate Fin Reports using LCM? Perhaps I need to extract additional artifacts under Reporting and Analysis??

I agree with John. You need to creata the database connections in the target environment. If it still fails, I would also give it a shot to the good old fashioned import export option. If you have exactly the same folder structure and naming conventions between your environments then try this:
- In your source env, login to Workspace, click on Explore > File > Export > Select the report folder. Workspace creates a zip file. Save it on your computer. Doesn't matter where.
- Go to your target env, login to Workspace, click on Explpre > File > Import > Select the zip file.
You will probably get a pop-up asking for the database connection. Select the one you created on your target env, and it will apply to all of the reports. Disadvantages:
- Very manual
- You can't automate it like you can on LCM.

SO, the above said fields has to be update and provide dynamic data in the report. (Also those field info is not available in Usage tracking table so we need get those information from Catalog manager also...........)
For this I have one alternate idea like to get the solution by planning to get this solution by CSV file.If you would provide any solution like CSV get updated dynamically from Catalog manager it would be a great thing to me....Your help is highly appreciated.
How to implement this requirement ............could you provide a right path to achieve this solution.

We have install/configure WebCenter analytics and activity graph.
Wehave added Login Metrics in our Group Space and we are getting default login count for specific time frame but when we define a filter under User Property of any property like city, department name, phone title etc after refreshing data it is giving error like

Inserting a link to BI Publisher report and passing the dashboard prompts

I have an answers dashboard where there are various prompts (say P1, P2, P3, P4 -all these are date prompts )and various reports.
These Prompts are stored as Presentation variable say var1, var2, var3, var4.
I need to insert a Link on this page to a BI Publisher Report. BI Publisher report also has some prompts say D1, D2, D3 , D4, D5, D6
The link should take the values from the prompts of this page and open the BI Publisher report with D1= value of Prompt P1,
D2= value of prompt P2, D3= value of Prompt P3, and D4= value of Prompt P4.
I was easily able to use an action link -> "Navigate to Web Page" option. I gave the URL for this BI Publisher report and clicking on that link takes me to the report.
But I am still figuring out out to send the values of the prompts.
The BI Publisher Report is :
- built from an RTF template.
- uses a SQL Query with Bind variables to get the value of its prompts D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6.
- Suppose D1 is bind variable :date1, D2 is bind variable :date2, D3 is bind variable :date3 and D4 is bind variable :dat4.
So my first try was to append the value of bind variable to the URL
