No Drag&Drop in Adobe Reader X to Excel or Word...

With Adobe Reader 9.4.1 it was possible to copy text with drag&drop to Excel or Word.
Now, after Update to Adobe Reader X there is no drag&drop possible!!!

In the preferences of Adobe Reader disable the protected mode.

Can I adjust the page margins in Adobe Reader like I can in Word?

I have a quilting pattern I am trying to enlarge, but I cannot find a way to adjust the left or top margins so when I want to print an 8" square, the left margin is staying at 2", no matter what I try. I thought I would be able to adjust the margin, just like in Word.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, Zieh-Objekte beim Aufrufen des Quiz immer in zufälliger Reihenfolge/Anordnung aufzulisten?
Frage 2
Nachdem der User alle Ziehobjekte abgelegt und auf Submit geklickt hat, sollen die fehlerhaften Objekte rot umrandet werden. Wie geht das?
(Ich meine keine typische pauschale Fehlereinblendung á la "Falsch!", sondern eine rote Umrandung des Ziehobjekts!)

Gibt es die Möglichkeit, nach dem 2. Versuch einen Button “Lösungen anzeigen” einzublenden? Bei Bei Klick auf diesen sollen die Ziehobjekte in die richtigen Ablegeboxen fliegen.

Actually I think I used your first method. I had about 10 drag sources, some of the same type and some not and 25 drop targets of the same type to deal with.
The approach I used was to group some of the Drag Source Objects ( like common parts such as multiple wire connector images, 4 in total ) but not group the Drop Target objects ( 25 rectangular shapes that make up the circuit board grid ). That did work successfully. I'm slowly getting to understand the way this drag and drop object type grouping works.
My next test is to Group the Drop Targets by Drop type that can accept the corresponding Drag type. Thus for my 5 x 5 grid of rectangles objects, the drop rectangle objects that are designated for a given wire connector, would be assigned a drop type of that wire connector. If this can work, it could save even more time, when setting the correct answers. i.e. I would just set the correct answer as a drag type and drop type relationship. I think this could make it easier if I had a really big grid of drop rectangles, as I won't have to specify every single drag drop object relationship.
Unfortunately so far this method is not working. I keep getting the Incorrect Answer message when testing, even though I know it's the correct drag drop answer. I know the drag source group type works, but the drop target group type is not working in the correct answer association with the drag group type.

Adobe Reader 9 automatically converts to Word

When I try to open a file in Adobe Reader 9 it automatically converts to Word (just a list of code). How can I prevent this?

Adobe reader is not opening my word document stating that it is an unsupported document??????

I am having difficulty opening a word document that my instructor has attached to my Oncourse (student page) online. I have Adobe reader and Microsoft Office. Installed Adobe Reader 9 in trouble with Word...

I am in trouble because I upgraded Adobe Reader to version 9, replacing the version 8 I was using with success! I work on an iMac.
I wrote a book on Word 2004 for Mac and if I move it on Word 2008, even if the configuration is the same, the pages come out differently and all messed up. I absolutely need to keep it on Word 2004 from which I cannot save my text as pdf because of Reader version 9, it is not available in the menu anymore.
Ok to uninstall it, but I cannot find the download for my previous version 8 on which the book was transferred for the editor and publisher.
On the CNET forum someone wrote that he was in trouble like me, that it was easy to uninstall version 9 but that it took him a lot of time to find version 8 to download. In fact, I search for it on Google but every time it seems I find it when I try to download I don't have the possibility to choose version 8, I click on 8 and get 9. I am a sort of desperate, It's urgent for me to send this book and this stupid problem drives me crazy. Would you mind helping me? Does some of you know where to download? Thank you so much!!! Reader has nothing to do with the creation of PDF's. It is for viewing them only.
Do you have Adobe Acrobat? If so, you'll want to bring this problem over to the Acrobat forum. This one is for the free Reader.

Adobe reader doesn't open when word is running

my adobe reader won't open when I have word open. It opens fine with other components of the office suite. I have windows 8 on my machine. I have tried running and accepting eula.exe but this had no effect. Any ideas?

Removing adobe reader icon from excell and outlook

How can I permanently remove the adobe reader V9 icon from Excel and Outlook? I used toolbar customize to delete the icons but they come back when I restart the programs.

Sorry for the late response!
The users had a habit of going into the printer properties to specify other printer options eg. 2-sided printing, manual feed printing, heavy paper, etc... besides the number of copies inside the printer properties as well. Therefore, they prefer to do all the various changes in the printer properties instead of changing it at the Adobe Reader dialog.
The same method were applied by all the users in Adobe Reader 9.4.7 and there were perfectly no issue at all! All the network printers (23 different brands and models in the network) responded to the printer properties "number of copies" accordingly.
It seems that Adobe Reader X dialog Page Handling: No of copies, cannot synchronise and recognise the "No of copies" specified in the printer properties. This symptom was tested and found to be the same behaviour for different printer manufacturers. Wonder if there is a bug with Adobe Reader X as this issue did not occur for Adobe Reader 8 and 9 versions. The users were using Reader 8 and 9 versions before and there were no complaints until it was eventually all upgraded to Reader X, starting from 10.0.1, 10.1.0 and now 10.1.2.
What do you think could be the cause?

Why can't Adobe Reader find or search for words on a PDF document?

I have seen where people have the same problem whoes comments where dated back in June 2011. WHEN WILL THIS PROBLEM BE FIXED? I am sent PDF files with multiple pages of documents that I have to go through. I need to find documents by employee names. Please help.

Are you able to select the text? If not, then it's probably just a scanned image of text, not real text. In that case there's nothing you can do about it unless you run OCR on the document in Acrobat or some other similar application.

What means "basic account"; what exactly did you purchase? ExportPDF?

Web sight adobe reader file keeps opening in word pad help!!!!

I have a very important file I need to print and it keeps opening in word pad. Seems like it was opened up once that way and now I can't get it to open anyway else. I am sure this is a simple fix but I can,t figure it out.

Check your OS's help files for "file association". Change it back to Reader. In the meantime, you can open Reader first and use File>Open to open the file.

Problem with "Save as Adobe PDF format" in Excel and Word

When I use printing zone in Excel and make a «Save as Adobe PDF format» (menu File / Save as Adobe PDF), the first save is well done. But when I make it a second time, what's not in the printing zone is printing in the document.
I have also problem with the «Save as Adobe PDF format» in Word. The images superposition are not well print.
I'm using Windows 7 in french, Office 2010 french and Adobe Acrobat XI standard. All is in the latest version.

The Save As PDF feature in Office2008 Call up a PDF Creator similar to the AdobePDF Print Driver. whch OX.6 can't use.
To create Pdf you have to use method used:

Not before you attempt to use this method if Rossetta is not installed. pop in your Systems DVD and install Rosetta. Then follow directions to install the Adobe Quality PDF Automator Script which will show up in the Print Menu. Click on Print > then click PDF. Then Click on Adobe quality PDF. AS for setting up Job options and other details Supposedly your suppose to have access. But I have no idea.
First thing Rosetta should be installed out of the box. and Second Adobe should install this Script from their installer. So their should be no intervention from the user. it should just work. Early report when OSX.6 first came out almost no one was able to get this to work. and I see periodic reports that people still can't get it tork and they have to to resort to saving as .ps files then droping on distiller.
