No image dispayed

When I click 'Edit in External Editor' in iPhoto on an Apple iMac, Elements 10 opens correctly but no image is displayed.  Previously when I used Elements 6, the image dispayed OK in Elements 6 ready for editing. Can you help, please?

Most likely you chose the logical file and not the correct file. You want this one:

  • Random Images in Dreamwaever CS5?

    Hi,
    I'd like to set up  my site so that every time the homepage reloads, a different image dispays each time. How is this done in Dreamweaver?
    Thanks!

    It would require either custom javascript or some server-scripting.  Google "random image on load" - you will surely find a boat load of scripts.

  • Howto dispay image from binary type

    Hi, I have sucesfully displayed picture from context of type "Resource" to an Image child with binded to it context of type String. I use to it belov listed piece of code and it works fine:
    FileResource = value attribute if type com.sap....Resource
    Image = value attribut of type String binded to Image child
    if (element.getFileResource() != null) {
    element.setImage(element.getFileResource().getUrl(WDFileDownloadBehaviour.OPEN_INPLACE.ordinal()));
    Now I have encountered closely related problem (there is a smile with coding an upload as well but I was able to upload "something" != null.). I have a picture in Binary type (uploaded from mysql db). How do I display it in an Image child with String type context (you can bind other types of context to Image child than String)? Below code how I upload the image:
    ResultSet rs = stUpdate2.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM photo");
         while(rs.next())
              byte[] b=rs.getBytes(1);
    IWDResource res=WDResourceFactory.createCachedResource(b,"Image4",WDWebResourceType.JPG_IMAGE);                    IPrivateMyProjectView.IImageTableElement imageEle=wdContext.createImageTableElement();
         imageEle.setImage3(b); //this is probably wrong, I tried bot "setImage3(res)" but I get error
    //The method setImage3(byte[]) in the type IPrivateKartaPolakaView.IImageTableElement is not applicable for //the arguments (IWDResource)
    //or
    //imageEle.setImage3( res.getUrl(WDFileDownloadBehaviour.OPEN_INPLACE.ordinal()));
    //               wdContext.nodeImageTable() .addElement(imageEle );
    //how it should be but that provides me "The method setImage3(byte[]) in the type //IPrivateMyProjectView.IImageTableElement is not applicable for the arguments (String)" error
    wdContext.nodeImageTable().addElement(imageEle );
    ImageTable = Value Node
    Image3 = value attribute of type binary
    Please advice. Regards, Balmer.

    Hi,
    First of all, make a string context attribute, and bind ur image UI element's source name to it.
    Then write the following code:
    IWDResource l_resource = WDResourceFactory.createCachedResource(<variable of type byte[] whihch has the binary type>,"MyImage",WDWebResourceType.JPG_IMAGE);
    String l_image = l_resource.getUrl(WDFileDownloadBehaviour.OPEN_INPLACE.ordinal());
    now set this l_image to the source context attribute.
    check it out and let me know if it works.....

    Gita

  • Re: Java Images and Threads prob Help!!

    Without going through it in detail the problem may be that you're doing the repaint which you hope will draw the image before the image has completed loading.
    Create your ImageIcon (loading the "xxxx.jpeg" files) during program initialisation. And check the load status of the icon, at least in a test version.

    I still cant get the reqd output. Only the 1st image is dispayed and when i click the second code, the 2nd image doesnt come(the first one does not disappear, and even when i click the code 1 i have to minimize/ maximize the screen, to get the image and after that it does not go for the s2nd image 2 come!! )

  • Upload image that is not in local file system

    We have an abomination of a project where we are trying to upload employee images into our main 'People' form. The only issue is that the images exist on a SQL Server database. I can get the images onto the Oracle server easily enough but the functionality does not exist to browse to a remote server, just the local machine. Has anyone had to do something like this before? If it was just a few images we could FTP them to a mapped drive and do it 1 by 1 but we are talking about 15000 images so that is not an avenue we would care to explore. Any advice would be welcome.

  • Change colors of interactive image controls

    Hello,
    I seem to be having a problem with the interactive image widget in iBooks author. In the software, and under the template I'm working with, i added some interactive image widgetsvwith always-on controls. Now the controls niceley integrate wth the template by adopting a light blue color.
    However, when i preview the book on my iPad, the controls are dispayed in black which is, in my opinion, much uglier thannblue for this specific template, do you know how this csn be changed ?
    Thank you

    I suspect this repsonse is somewhat mis-leading, the code has no effect on the control other than setting its state, although the route is somewhat tedious for the mod.
    I would imagine that the control is set up so that the pixels didn't move around when they are being used as controls.
    There are nested groups and locks on the controls, which might make the ordering in the cluster easier to manage.
    The following should work....... ;-) it did for me
    Open  your own new VI
    Open the main LCD VI
    Open the Browse VI Hierachy
    Drag and drop the LCD VI onto your own diagram
    Create a cluster from the LCD VI's connector
    Now ungroup the clusters and unlock them (this is tedious) if you create your own then you could be more imaginative in the structure, I leave that for homework.
    Then import a new bitmap (gif) into the control
    Now update the modified contol back into the master control
    ........ Told you it could be done, but I am not sure the pain was worth it.
    BUT
    Try the alternative control..... with colour settings as well, ANY colour and even some size control.

    Hi,
    Not especially familiar with images and am having issues with images being painted over when ever I move or adjust the size of my GUI. I built a majority of the GUI using the Form Designer included with Netbeans.
    Would really appreciate any advice, happy to include more detail if required.

  • Problem clearing applet's screen for different images

    I have an applet that displays several jpg-images.
    Images are photos of different sizes that are portrait
    and landscape.
    Problem is that the rest of a portrait image remains at
    the screen when a landscape image is dispayed and
    in the same way the rest of a landscape image remains
    at the screen when a portrait image is displayed.
    I thought update and repaint methods should do the
    work but something is wrong.
    Code that should do it is:
    private void runWork() {
       curFrame = 0;
       try {
            while(noStopRequested) {
         waitWhilePaused();
         curFrame = (curFrame + 1) % image.length;
         repaint();
         Thread.sleep(5000);
       } catch (InterruptedException e) {
             Thread.currentThread().interrupt();
    public void paint(Graphics g) {
        update(g);
    public void update(Graphics g) {
       g.drawImage(image[curFrame], 0, 0, this);
    }What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance

    Yeah, I knew flickering would probably happen. I've never done double-buffering exactly in an applet, but I can give you an idea how it's done.private void runWork() {
       Image offScreen = createImage(appletWidth, appletHeight);
       Graphics offGraphics = offScreen.getGraphics();
       try {
          while (noStopRequested) {
             waitWhilePaused();
             curFrame = (curFrame + 1) % image.length;
             offScreen.clearRect(0, 0, appletWidth, appletHeight);
             offScreen.drawImage(image[curFrame], 0, 0, this);
             repaint();
       catch (...) {}Then in paint():public void paint(Graphics g) {
       g.drawImage(offScreen, 0, 0, this);
    public void update(Graphics g) {
       paint(g);
    }Might not be perfect, but it should give you an idea. Basically you want to draw the screen OFF the screen before drawing it to the screen. That way you don't clear the screen and draw the image. You do it all in one paint().

  • Displaying Images in EBS

    Hi,
    Does anybody know if it is possible to use the URL link against an invoice to display an image via UNC path (Oracle 11i)?
    I know it's possible to do this using a URL link through to a browser application but wondering if it's possible to just use the network file path so that the image opens in the native appication on the users machine (windows image viewer, abode etc.)
    Would this be the same method for dispaying images in iExpense too?
    Regards
    David

                    Tempgigs = (gigs) nit.next();
              g.setColor(Color.blue);
                    y+=10;
              g.drawString(Tempgigs.bands+ " " +Tempgigs.venue + " " +Tempgigs.city+ " " + Tempgigs.pc,x,y);

            String imageName=bf.readLine();
           File input = new File(imageName);

  • Background Image Question (CSS)

    I have the following CSS style in my head section:
    body { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;
    background: #fff
    url(/images/Home/TopGradBlack.jpg) 0 0 repeat-x; }
    ...where TopGradBlack.jpg is a black-white gradient measuring
    500 pixels
    high by 5 pixels wide. The image displays as it should, with
    the page
    appearing black at the top, grading into white below.
    But I want the background to consist of a black-white
    gradient on the
    left half of the page only, with a blue-white gradient on the
    right
    half. So I inserted a div (ID = Body2) inside the body and
    added another
    style, as follows:
    body { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;
    background: #fff
    url(/images/Home/TopGradBlack.jpg) 0 0 repeat-x; }
    #Body2 { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;
    background: #fff
    url(/images/Home/TopGradBlue.jpg) 50% 0 repeat-x; }
    But it doesn't work. Rather than displaying from the middle
    of the page
    rightward, TopGradBlue.jpg dispays clear across the page. If
    I change it
    to 0 50% repeat-x, then it works as it should, displaying
    across the
    middle of the page. But when I change it back to 50% 0
    repeat-x, it
    displays clear across the top of the page.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks.

    I would NEVER use GIF compression with gradients.

  • Adding Effects to text layers now causing image to "disappear."

    Ever since the latest update to PS CS6, when I add a simple effect to a text layer, like emboss, the working image disappears when I zoom in and out. Also, the layer effect does nothing to the type. It's almost like a dispay issue. When I turn the layer effect off, my image is visible again. Here's what it looks like:

    There were some bugs in layers with the latest update, especially on a Mac.  Adobe is working on it.

  • Any way to create still image of menu

    Is there a way in dvd sp to create a still image of a menu, complete with drop zones, buttons etc? I need something usable at full resolution, not like a screen shot or anything.
    Something like the save still feature on a video clip but for a menu?

    So I took a screenshot using capture me. The resolution of the image on the dispay ends up being 640 x 480, 4:3 aspect ratio.
    If I import that into dvd sp, it doesnt line up quite right, but almost right. its a little thin side to side.
    If I resize it in photoshop to 720 x 480, for some reason when I bring it back into dvd sp it doesnt unstretch it, but displays it as a letterbox. The pct file says its using square pixels in photosop so I must be missing something as to why it doesnt resolve back properly. Any ideas?
