No images or CSS in Dreamweaver CC in LIVE

After switching from Dreamweaver CS6 to Dreamweaver CC all images in LIVE are gone. Even when I open a new page, and only add 1 image, nothing else, no CSS, and SAVE. I then select LIVE, the image shows a broken link. I turn off LIVE and I see the image again.
When I do have css linked, it also does not work.
I go back to CS6 and it all works great.
It is okay in Preview for Browser.
What am I missing?

Hi Mitchell,
We're looking into it, thanks for alerting us.
Cheers – Marc.

    How to load images from css file in JavaFX 8 - Stack Overflow

    There is nothing special to do - you execute the statement from your program just like any other SQL statement.  The only thing to be aware of are the privilege/permission issues:
    When loading from a file on a client computer:
    READ CLIENT FILE privilege is also required for the database user.
    Read privileges are required on the directory being read from.
    The allow_read_client_file database option must be enabled.
    The read_client_file secure feature must be enabled.
    Revoking these privileges is also the only way you can prevent a user from executing the statement.

  • Send HTML Email with Embedded Images and CSS

    Hi All,
    I have a html page. I want to send that html page(not with attachment) with all images and css. i search and try but I cant find a good solution. can any one help... plz..........
    Thank You.....

    If you want to send the html page and have it
    reference the images and css files on your web
    site, that's pretty easy. Just create a message
    with text/html content that is your html page.
    If you want to include all the images and css files
    in your message along with the html page, you'll
    need to create a multipart/related message and
    you'll need to change all the html to reference the
    images and css files using "cid:" references.

  • How reference images in css

    Hi Everybody,
    how can i reference images in css of a JspDynPage? Until now i used the following piece of code which only works if i put the css inside my jsp file. What could be the reason? When i put the css part in a seperate file the images are not referenced.
    index.jsp:
    <%     String mimeUrl = componentRequest.getWebResourcePath(); %>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href='<%=mimeUrl+"/css/myStyle.css"%>' type="text/css" />
    <ul class="glossymenu">
         <li><a href="http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/"><b>CSS</b></a></li>
         <li><a href="http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/"><b>Forums</b></a></li>
    </ul>
    myStyle.css:
    <style>
    .glossymenu{
         position: relative;
         padding: 0 0 0 34px;
         margin: 0 auto 0 auto;
         background: url(<%=mimeUrl%>/images/menub_bg.gif) repeat-x;
         height: 46px;
         list-style: none;
    </style>

    Hi,
    the jsp code in your css file is never executed by the server. This line of code in your css file will remain the same (check by accessing the css file via your browser):
    url(<%=mimeUrl%>/images/menub_bg.gif)
    your options are:
    - add the full path in your css file (add the <%=mimeUrl%>/images/menub_bg.gif as a temporary printout to your jsp and view the full path)
    - put this section or all of the css definition locally in your jsp file
    - create a jsp file with all the css definitions that is included as a jsp file
    JSP code will only execute within jsp pages which are rendered by the application server. Any code added to external files such as js or css files will not render.
    Cheers,
    Dion

  • Centering Images using CSS but having links on the Images

    Hi all,
    I have a problem on centering an image using CSS. I read on many forums that you have to use margin-left , margin-right and set to auto. and also set the display:block which I had done.
    The problem is if I want to have a link from the image. Because I have set the display to block, the link will span the entire container containing it! How do I resolve that? I only want the image to be linkable and not the entire container!
    Thanks for reading!

    Murray *ACP* wrote:

    That's incorrect.  If the display:block is applied to only the IMAGE, the anchor tag will be exactly the same dimensions as the image and will not fill the container.
    Hi Murray,
    Weirdly it does in my experiments. (code below). Even if I set the 'a' tag to the width of the image it still makes the whole <div> container clickable:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

        width: 900px;
        margin: 0 auto;
        border: 1px solid #000;
    #imgWrapper img {
        margin: 0 auto;
        display: block;
    </style>
    </head>

  • To load image in css

    i have one problem:
    if i want to load an image from a rightcontext i do it so:
    <h:graphicImage url="<%=request.getContextPath() %>/img/myImage.gif"/>now i would like to use css (styleClass) and image should be loaded there:
    unfortunately no one of these possibilities works
    .myImage
         background: url('img/myImage.gif');
         background: url('<%=request.getContextPath() %>img/myImage.gif');
         background: url('<%=request.getContextPath() %>'+'img/myImage.gif');
    }how can i load the image in css with right context?

    You don't need to specify request.getContextPath() in your CSS file simply provide a path in your CSS like background: url(relative path w.r.t. your context root).
    E.g. background-image: url("btnbg.bmp"); if the image is in the current directory as the CSS.
    Please ensure that you have linked the CSS into your JSF page with a
    <portlet:defineObjects />
    <LINK rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"
         href='<%= renderResponse.encodeURL(renderRequest.getContextPath() + "/theme/stylesheet.css") %>'

  • Absolute image links in Contribute/Dreamweaver

    Can anyone tell me how to force Contribute to make all the
    image links absolute (i.e.
    http://www.adobe.com/images/sampleimage.jpg)
    in Dreamweaver.
    I want to send out html emails and I spec out absolute links
    in Dreamweaver but when I edit the html document in Contribute, the
    links get changed to relative.
    HTML emails need absolute paths. I've read that Contribute
    fixed this in CS3 but I just bought Contribute the other day and my
    links keep switching back.
    HELP!?!?!?!
    Thanks in advance!
    Rodney

    How will you send the emails? Will you use an email-client on
    the client-side or create a server-side solution?
    Server-side:
    I solved this Contribute problem by using PHP and
    str_replace.
    $strMessageStrip = $_POST['message'];
    $strMessageStrip2 = str_replace("../", "
    http://www.yourdomain.com/",
    $strMessageStrip);
    $strMessageStrip3 = str_replace("../images/", "
    http://www.yourdomain.com/images/",
    $strMessageStrip2);
    etc...
    Client-side:
    The only solution I can think of is creating Editable regions
    for the text and use default image positions outside the editable
    regions and let your client change the images by putting new images
    on the server with the same name as the old ones.

  • Scene7 images not previewing in Dreamweaver

    I am working with Dreamweaver CC 2014 on OSX and I would like to use Adobe Scene7 for hosting images in emails that my company sends out.  However, I am running into a huge problem.  The images do not show in preview nor live view.  The only way to see them is by opening the html file in a browser.
    The odd thing is, Scene7 is the only service that this occurs with.  Other external images pull into to preview with any problems.  I did check make sure that Display External Files is checked.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Well, I don' t normally post the HTML email online, however,
    for this one I did, just to check and see if that would make a
    difference. It didn't. The link to my HTML email is:

    email example
    I have tried getting ideas from other forums and this seems
    to be common, once you set absolute links, you cannot preview the
    images in Dreamweaver anymore. Some people don't seem to mind and
    others find it annoying (like me), I guess I will just have to get
    used to it. The images are mostly jpgs created in Photoshop or
    Illustrator, saved for web. All the images are uploaded to the
    webserver.
    In the local settings in the http box I now have:

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 live view problems

    1.) As described in this Thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3204440#3204440 the Live View is very slow, when edit/design a php-page which uses external css files
    2.) The live view does not support/show css3 tags, e.g. box-shadow or border-radius, altough the css-panel knows these tags. it is necessary to open the page in a local browser or in multiscreen-preview to see the design.
    3.) The live view does not render the jqeury-mobile layout.

    -Live View is very slow?
    Only when the page contains CSS/JavaScript interactions.
    -Live view does not support/show css3 tags?
    Correct.
    -Live view does not render the jqeury-mobile?
    Actually, it does. You need, however, to choose a local path option for
    the scripts.
    Dreamweaver is a marvelous program, but like everything else made with
    human hands and minds - it's not perfect. Live View is a very misleading
    feature - actually, the only folks I know who find it useful are
    beginners (who believe it works) and authors who write books and
    tutorials that teach how to use it. It's worth at least one chapter of
    filler
    The only truth a novice should pull out of this topic is that when
    testing a web page, the only reliable test is that which involves real
    browsers.

  • How can I bring back image Align options in Dreamweaver CS6 (CSS not an option)?

    Why were the options to align images from the Property bar removed in Dreamweaver CS6? When CSS isn't an option (email, CMSs, etc ), what options are available to better edit the inline HTML code?
    For this purpose, is it better to revert to an older version of Dreamweaver?

    You can write inline code in any version of Dreamweaver, but you need to hand-code it. Versions later than CS2 or Dreamweaver MX don't really support inline code generation, as the idea for websites was to generate external style sheets.
    Here's what I do for emails: I use MailChimp. Their on-line email generators do write good code that is readable in any email application and they also allow the user to subscribe to a text-only email.
    If you still have your old copy of Dreamweaver MX or CS-2 that supports in-line code generation, keep using that. It will coexist nicely with Dreamweaver CS6 and you can have both open at the same time. As long as it continues to work correctly on your operating system, you're good to go.

  • How to get externally made nav bar css into dreamweaver

    How do I insert 'purecssmenu' made nav bar into dreamweaver? I have a zip file with just the interactive nav bar in it. There used to be an insert nav bar but that seems to have vanished in cs6 presumably because Adobe want you to use Spry!!!
    I am completely new to this game but it is not helpful to be constantly told that you should learn coding.
    I just want to make 1 tiny personal site. Any constructive help would be very much appreciated.

    Sorry you're having such a terrible time not only getting the navbar to work, but interpreting the help here. (That's what it is... help, only you really didn't give us a lot to go on)
    You need to do one of two things if you'd like people to stop "guessing" what's wrong with your page.
    1.Upload your page to your server and post the URL here so others can download the source code and analyze it.
    or
    2. Copy and paste your ENTIRE page of code here so it can be seen, downloaded and viewed in someone else's Dreamweaver on their computer. Something like this:

  • Image Space Problems with Dreamweaver 8

    I am having a bad issue with Dreamweaver 8 on Mac OS 10.4.8.
    It concerns images that have an assigned horizontal spacer of say,
    4 pixels. The images have a CSS class assigned to them that adds a
    5 pixel black border. In previous Dreamweaver versions, and within
    the Mac Browsers (Safari, Netscape, etc.), the black (CSS class)
    border is correctly along all four edges of the image. However,
    when viewed in Dreamweaver 8, the black border is now 5 pixels away
    from the image's verticle edges.

    I have tried this in DW8 on the Mac, and I'm not able to
    reproduce it.
    There must be some horizontal padding inheriting into that
    <img> to get what
    you are seeing.

  • Stacking images via css...

    how can I stack an image on top of a cell that already
    contains CSS?
    you are only alotted one background-image in the CSS...so,
    for example, I've got a 1px x 20 px tall graphic that repeats a
    pattern within its cell. Now I want to add another image within
    that cell and have it centered on top of the pattern. How?
    Also, I'd like to know why it is that sometimes my table
    cells are fixed an other times they are flexible. How does one set
    it so that a table cell will not collapse or have flexibility -- so
    it will conform to the dimensions I assign it? -- Is it as simple
    as making sure it's a defined attribute in the tag?
    thanks

    Here's an example...
    a background image to the left cell via the stylesheet and an
    image inserted
    into a table cell.

    thoroughly modern
    CSS and Scripting, we've taken great pains to ensure that

  • Missing Images and CSS when going to portal/server.pt can't login

    Hi,
    I installed WebCenterInteraction_10.3.0.0.0 on Windows and followed all the steps mentioned in the install doc. Deployed the portal.ear and here is what I see on the command line after deployment:
    Task #1 (InitPortalObjects) END (OK)
    Task #2 (CheckDevKit) END (OK)
    Task #3 (InitializePaths) END (OK)
    Task #4 (InitializeApplication) END (OK)
    Task #5 (InitializeAppWarmUpHelper) END (OK)
    Task #6 (InitializeImageServerHelper) END (OK)
    Task #7 (InitializeConfigHelper) END (OK)
    Task #8 (InitializeResourceManager) END (OK)
    Task #9 (LoadVersionHelper) END (OK)
    Task #10 (InitializeActivitySpaces) END (OK)
    Task #11 (InitializeVarPacks) END (OK)
    Task #12 (InitializeImageServerHelperPartII) END (OK)
    Task #13 (InitializeObjects) END (OK)
    Task #14 (LoadCustomLoads) END (OK)
    Task #15 (CheckDBVersion) END (OK)
    Aqualogic Interaction startup successful.
        ======= Diagnostic Run Complete =======
        Startup completion percentage: 100% (50 steps out of 50 complete)
        ===== Portal should now start successfully ===== But when I go to http://localhost:7001/portal/server.pt I don't see any images and the css is not applied so can't login. Any idea what might be wrong. Here is the Apache httpd.conf
    Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/"
    # Based upon the NCSA server configuration files originally by Rob McCool.
    # This is the main Apache server configuration file.  It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/> for detailed information about
    # the directives.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do.  They're here only as hints or reminders.  If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # The configuration directives are grouped into three basic sections:
    #  1. Directives that control the operation of the Apache server process as a
    #     whole (the 'global environment').
    #  2. Directives that define the parameters of the 'main' or 'default' server,
    #     which responds to requests that aren't handled by a virtual host.
    #     These directives also provide default values for the settings
    #     of all virtual hosts.
    #  3. Settings for virtual hosts, which allow Web requests to be sent to
    #     different IP addresses or hostnames and have them handled by the
    #     same Apache server process.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path.  If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/logs/foo.log".
    # NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
    # instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located
    # will be used by default.  It is recommended that you always supply
    # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths, however, to avoid
    # confusion.
    ### Section 1: Global Environment
    # The directives in this section affect the overall operation of Apache,
    # such as the number of concurrent requests it can handle or where it
    # can find its configuration files.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # NOTE!  If you intend to place this on an NFS (or otherwise network)
    # mounted filesystem then please read the LockFile documentation (available
    # at <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mpm_common.html#lockfile>);
    # you will save yourself a lot of trouble.
    # Do NOT add a slash at the end of the directory path.
    ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2"
    # ScoreBoardFile: File used to store internal server process information.
    # If unspecified (the default), the scoreboard will be stored in an
    # anonymous shared memory segment, and will be unavailable to third-party
    # applications.
    # If specified, ensure that no two invocations of Apache share the same
    # scoreboard file. The scoreboard file MUST BE STORED ON A LOCAL DISK.
    #ScoreBoardFile logs/apache_runtime_status
    # PidFile: The file in which the server should record its process
    # identification number when it starts.
    PidFile logs/httpd.pid
    # Timeout: The number of seconds before receives and sends time out.
    Timeout 300
    # KeepAlive: Whether or not to allow persistent connections (more than
    # one request per connection). Set to "Off" to deactivate.
    KeepAlive On
    # MaxKeepAliveRequests: The maximum number of requests to allow
    # during a persistent connection. Set to 0 to allow an unlimited amount.
    # We recommend you leave this number high, for maximum performance.
    MaxKeepAliveRequests 100
    # KeepAliveTimeout: Number of seconds to wait for the next request from the
    # same client on the same connection.

    ### Section 2: 'Main' server configuration
    # The directives in this section set up the values used by the 'main'
    # server, which responds to any requests that aren't handled by a
    # <VirtualHost> definition.  These values also provide defaults for
    # any <VirtualHost> containers you may define later in the file.
    # All of these directives may appear inside <VirtualHost> containers,
    # in which case these default settings will be overridden for the
    # virtual host being defined.
    # ServerAdmin: Your address, where problems with the server should be
    # e-mailed.  This address appears on some server-generated pages, such
    # as error documents.  e.g. [email protected]
    ServerAdmin [email protected]
    # ServerName gives the name and port that the server uses to identify itself.
    # This can often be determined automatically, but we recommend you specify
    # it explicitly to prevent problems during startup.
    # If this is not set to valid DNS name for your host, server-generated
    # redirections will not work.  See also the UseCanonicalName directive.
    # If your host doesn't have a registered DNS name, enter its IP address here.
    # You will have to access it by its address anyway, and this will make
    # redirections work in a sensible way.

    # UseCanonicalName: Determines how Apache constructs self-referencing
    # URLs and the SERVER_NAME and SERVER_PORT variables.

    # ServerName directive.

    I am not expert in these, but please check out the following things and see whether it would solve your issue. (All these changes can be easily rolled back in case I'm wrong :). So make note of what you do)
    As per your httpd.conf, you have chosen an automatic configuration of Apache by OWCI installer itself. What it does is create an imageserver.conf file in a separate directory and these settings will be included in your httpd.conf as you can see in the first line: Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/".
    If you check the imageserver.conf in that location, you would find a line like: Alias /imageserver/ "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/". This aliases the original path "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/" to /imageserver"
    To confirm whether this is done right, check the following:
    1. Acces 'http://<server ip / server name / localhost >/' from your browser
    This should display the Apache home page (as per your httpd.conf, it uses the default port 80; so no port number required)
    2. Access 'http://<server ip>/imageserver/' from your browser
    This should display the directory structure (if its not disabled) inside your 'C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/' folder. Also confirm that all the subfolders are accessible.
    3. If all the above is right, it means that your imageserver settings are right. Please check your portalconfig.xml for the correct settings: For example, <setting name="HTTPPort"> should be 7001 in your case. If its something else, change it and restart Weblogic for the settings to take effect.
    Hope this helps.
