No more table-backgorunds?!

hi...
im missing the option for [table]s to include images for the
background via editor! im using DW for easy and fast
work.....putting css "per pedes" together i would use a simple
text-editor!
where are all these (old) options hidden? are there
mods/tools for DW CS4?#

When I worked in software development retaining compatability was probably the most imortant aspect of bringing out a new version of a product.
The arrogance of removing features with no alternative is outrageous. What do Apple think? - spreadsheets are just visual toys? I run a business using numbers spreadsheets for costing, budgetting, TAX returns, project tracking... you name it. Spreadsheets are not toys, they are vital business tools, and if Apple add a feature because they think its useful (and categories are), they cant just take it away again.
Well they can, 'cause they have us over a barrel, but it shows a disregard for their customers which is disappointing and makes me angry given the care I used to take over compatability.
I have reverted to iWork 9. I dont like doing it - its important to keep up to date, otherwise I would still be using ClarisWorks. I hope Apple put categories, (or something similar for automatically doing subtotals) back in so I can move on.

You can write a custom SQL query and map it to an object as needed. You can also use the Toplink query language "anyOf" or "get" commands to map two tables as long as you map them as one to one (get command) or one to many (anyOf command) in the toplink mapping workbench.

Copying more tables from a SQL Server db to another one - SSIS 2012

in order to copy data of more tables (more an hundred) from a SQL Server db to a SQL Server destination db I'd like to use the Transfer SQL Server objects task, but the source tables belonged to the dbo schema and the destination schema is a different
one.
It seems that this task doesn't provide a such option.
Any suggests to me, please?

WHERE clause creating a join for two or more tables

The CS3 Dreamweaver book says that the WHERE clause can
create a join for two or more tables. The join was created, but the
data is repeating. I have searched the web and this forum and have
not found the answer.
My Master page filters the recordset by Style No and when a
customer clicks on a particular style, it sends him to the Detail
page. All the records are showing from all tables on the detail
page from the Dynamic List, except they are showing multiple times
(ex. Size table has 4 sizes and Color table has 2 colors - my Size
Drop Down list is showing 8 options and my Color Drop Down List is
showing 8 options) I have a Master Page with a recordset pointing
to a Detail Page using the same recordset.
Master page works perfectly.
Master Recordset SQL:
SELECT products.itemID, products.category, products.styleno,
products.name, products.description, products.ourprice,
products.imageTH, products.image, coloroption.color,
sizeoption.size
FROM products, coloroption, sizeoption
WHERE category = 'chefcoats' AND
products.styleno=sizeoption.styleno AND
products.styleno=coloroption.styleno
GROUP BY products.styleno
ORDER BY styleno ASC
The Detail Recordset:
SELECT products.itemID, products.category, products.styleno,
products.name, products.description, products.ourprice,

How to get more table rows to appear on form

I'm looking for a way to have more table rows appear on the actual form. I created a table with one header and one row with the add and delete button option. I like how the purchase order form sample has it setup where in designer it shows one row and then on the form it appears the table has three rows to start with. How do I do that? I looked at the code on the sample and I couldn't find it anywhere. Please help, thanks.

Hi,
The first part is easy to set up. If you select the object and go to the Object > Field palette. There you can click on display pattern and insert a null pattern, like "Name".
When the field doesn't have data, it will display "Name", but as soon as the user clicks in, this will automatically disappear.
The slight glitch is that by default this 'caption in the field' has the same text style as the rawValue, typically Myriad, black 10pt.
To achieve a grey, italic font to the null values, will require a little script.

ADF Business Components from Tables - adding more tables

I have already created a ADF Business Components from Tables and added tables from the Oracle database.
My question is:
Is it possible to add more tables to the same Business Components model?
Not as a new Component Table, but with the same tables so i can use the same relations and mappings?

Hi and thanks! Yes, I am talking about recreating a the same View Object that i already has created. In my first model i had the tables Name and Address. I want to add a new table called zipcode to the same View som i can choose colums from the zipcode-table in the same View as Name and Address.

Hi Kevin,
you can add new tables using File>Import functionality - you can import from database or DDL scripts.
Working in SQL Developer you can drag tables from SQL Dev browser and drop them on relational diagram. If Ctrl key is pressed while dropping then subordinate tables also will be added to the model.

you can use more than one table in smartform for that first you mention all the tables in the form interfaces and you have to mention the variables that you want to caliculate in the global definitions.
For caliculation right click on ant text and in that we have flow logic option in that we can select which type of code you want to write and you have to create those inbetween two text fields where the values are there and the other one is where you want to display the result.
in that code in input parameters we have to mention the variables which you want to use for caliculation and in output parameters mention the variables in which you want to store the result. And then we have to write the logic what ever we want.

firstly, thank you very much for your reply. I know how to create Multicube and InfoSet. My question is more specific. If you have let's say 4 tables from SAP STANDARD like:
      VBAP
      VBEP
       LIPS
      VBRP
You want to extract from each table only some important columns (like ProdHierarchy, company code, date, quantity, price ...).
How to handle this task to get really quick answers from BI system. If you have some million of records in each of this table, it's a bit SLOW with InfoSet or MultiProvider.
My taught was to write everything into one InfoCube. But how to do this, that I get all these information on one row? It would be nice to realize it without ABAP.
Is there any other solution?

Creating a Data Entry Form combining 2 or more tables like a Master Detail

I have a client requirement to create a data entry form which shows fields from 3 different tables joined by linking key. The data entry form should allow the user to enter a new record details. This should populate into 1 or more tables.
Example: User table with userid,username. userRoles with userid,roleid. The user can have one or more roles. There are 4 roles and possibility of expanding. The data entry form should show userid, username and all the possible roles fetching from a look-up table roles_lookup which has role_id, role_description. When a new user is created with 4 roles selected the system should create one user record and r userRoles records.
What is the best approach.

I found the solution. We can create a database routine to which we pass all the values and in the routine we create two different insert statements. Based on the number of roles selected we can control the loop to create number of records in role table.
