No. of Generated Profile

Hi all,
Let me know how many generated profile does a role can have?
Because i have created a role & generated one profile (For eg: Ztest1_). After then i have inserted some profiles directly into that role. At that time the system automatially generates some new profiles (Ztest1_1, Ztest_2). On what basis the system generates these profiles.

  • How to be sure VueScan generated profiles are being used

I recently reprofiled everything. I know that the monitor profile is selected in Displays, and I am satisfied that it is being used correctly. I see the printer profile in (HD)/Library/ColorSync/Profiles, and I see the scanner profile in Users/usr/ColorSync/Profiles.
I am only certain that VueScan itself will use these. When I use the Safari File>Print dialog windows, I don't see any indication that it knows about the printer  icc in the Color Matching window. Same with the Preview File> Print dialog Color Matching windows. The generated monitor profile is in there for some strange reason, though.
In Photoshop CS5 Print , the PS Manages Colors window does not show the new profile.
In Epson Scan/ColorSync there is no new scanner profile identified by its actual name.
I haven't looked in Elements 10, why bother?
I have the VueScan Bible by Steinhoff, which provides a completely uninformative guide to profiling. The website shown in his book jacket is in German with no English version, and I don't see any link for questions anyway.
Hamrick gets irritable when you ask him anything that questions his software.  He never answered the last time.
I am going to presume that only VueScan will call the generated profiles. You set the paths in VueScan, so I suppose that means that only VueScan will see them.  I guess this means that you have to buy one of the profiling apps to make system wide profiles.

    Lundberg02,
That's where—in my opinion and experience—all profiles belong.  Try putting your scanner-generated profiles there.
Also, don't forget that all color profiles have two names:  an external and an internal name, so that the profile may not be in the alphabetical-order location you expect it to.  You can use the ColorSync utility to look at the guts of the profile: it will show you both internal and external names.

  • How to generate profile like report in APEX

    Hi,
I am trying to create a report similar to Image: !http://www.nomagic.ie/sample_report.jpg! . I thought this will be easy if I create a form and fetch rows for reach section seperately during page rendering. Each each is coming from different table . I am okay with this approach, However there are couple sections that have multiple rows . I am wondering, If there is any better way in APEX to generate profile like report.
    Thanks
    Aali

    Hi Aali
You could do this using reports rather than forms and you'd just need to have two columns returned by each query and change the alignment to mimic that look.
Then just create a custom report template that looks the same as that (removing all borders etc).

  • How to generate profile create in SU02

    Hi expert,
I had just create a profile in SU02 and i already activate it.
But still not been generate and there was no black button under Ty. column in SU02.
Is there other tcode to generate profile?
Please advice and my sap system is ver 4.0B.
    Thanks
    regards,
    ng chong chuan

    Chong,
As Alex mentioned - when you are creating profiles manually there is no generation of profiles involved.
When you are in SU02 and enter the profile name and press enter you come to a screen that says "Profile List", there you click on the create icon (F6) and then when you add objects in the next screen "Maintain Profile", you first need to activate the profiles in this screen and then use F3 to come back to screen 1"(Profile List) and activate again........

  • Problems in generating profile

    Hi experts,
I have created a model view named Master Data with logical systems named DEV01 and DEV02 on client 100 and 200 respectively .The two clients are copies of 000.
But when i am trying to create generate profile partners through the path Enviornment -> Generate Partner Profiles i got an message saying No messages have been defined for the selection conditions in the model, but i have already specified the message to be Matmas.
Any kind of help will be appreciated.
FYI : I have already searched the forum for the same question but the replies didn't help me out.
    Regards,
    Abhinab Mishra

    Hi Abhinab,
Before Generating partner profile for inbound sytem,Check whether outbound partner profile is set up correctly.
In outbound system, in Partner type LS category click on create, here you have to mention recieving logical system (dev02) and in outbound parameters add message type MATMAS AND SYNCH .When you will add message type it will ask for reciever port, so ensure that you have created port (we21) before.
Maintain SYNCH also in outbound parameters, basic type for this will be SYNCHRON.
Then try to generate partner profiles.
Instead of generating partner profiles for inbound systen from distribution model , you can also set up partner profile manually in inbound system, There you have to mention inbound parameters , add your message type and mention process code for sending Partner.
The order which we follow to distribute the data between two systems is:
    1)Create Logical systems(BD54)
    2) Assign logical systems to clients(SCC4)
    3) Create RFC destination (SM59)
    4) Create Port(we21)
    5) Create Partner profile(we20)
    7) Distibuton model( BD64)

  • How to find all generated profiles (with more than one nomenclature)

    Hello all,
I have an Solution Manager 4.0 system and I want to find out:
    a. all sap profiles created via SU02 (not generated profiles)
    b. all generated profiles
    b. all generated profiles with user assignment
Initially I extracted values from tables UST10C and UST10S for single and comp. profile information. For profile assignment, I searched UST04. But then I realized that generated profiles don't follow a standard nomenclature. Some start with T-54, some with T-56, then T-AA, T-MW [now there some T_MW profiles created via SU02 ]
Can anyone help me here please?
    Thanks and regards,
    Sundar.

    Hi Sundar,
    please check table USR10.
The interesting field for you is USR10-Typ.
    Field value meanings:
    C    Composite Profile
    G    Generated Profile
    S    Single profile

  • Authorization:  Note 825016 - $! in the generated profile

We recently were generating authorizations for info object 0employee using program RSSB_GENERATE_AUTHORIZATIONS and ODS 0PA_DS02.  When we viewed the user profile, we noticed instead of employee numbers being listed as authorized, it listed '$!'.  We found this SAP note 'Note 825016 - $! in the generated profile'.  It explains some new authorization functionality where SAP is now using cluster tables to store authorization values > 3500.
This all sounds great, but it is not working.  When I try to view my query, I have no authorization for the values we generated with the program.  What am I missing?

SAP proposed that we switch to the new authorizations concept in BW 7.0.  This resolved our issues.

  • Generating profiles using ODSs

    Hi,
When generating profiles using ODSs - one for the hierarchy and one for the value. What purpose do these 2 ODS do? Why is one for the Hierarchy and the one is for value?
    Thanks
    Will

    Hi Soumya,
I am following the "how to generate BW authorization profiles from a flat file". Instead of using a flat file, I have created a table to read the values and fill the ODSs with the data by providing and mapping the fields for the ODSs.
Would you happen to know what I should mapped these InfoObjects to:
    0TCTIOBJNM
0TCTNIOBJNM for this one I am mapping it to 0HIER_NODE for text node
    0TCTNODE
I am getting an error though:
<i>Warning no authority for the node from characteristic 0sales_grp, hier ztest
Warning your user master record is not sufficient maintained for object ZATH</i>
I no longer use object ZATH but it is giving me an error.
Would you happen to know what it is saying?
    Thanks

  • PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY doesnot generate profiles

    Hi,
I had to download roles from QA and upload them into Dev so that I could transport them into Prod. This is because, I had made changes to some roles in QA directly.
Now when I transported them over, both the Authorization tab and the Users tab in QA became yellow. All the objects are maintained in all the roles, so I ran PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY to generate profiles.
For some reason, that did not work. I'snt it supposed to generate the profiles and compare the User Master too ?
If yes, what could be the problem? Doing a profile generation for 200 roles is very cumbersome.
    Kunal

    Hi Olivier,
Why would you want to batch program SUPC? Its a good thought, however not practical.
Just generate the roles we touch and transport them accordingly up the stack.
Even if one does manage to configure this:
We do not generate roles in QA and PRD, hence this would run in DEV only. Each generation will update all the roles timestamp and show the last changed to be the batch id. Apart from growing change documents, the last changed date on the role would not match that of QA and PRD(as all generated roles would not be transported everyday), leading to more misery.
    Hope this clarifies your doubt
    Abhishek

  • Not able to generate profile

I am in Change Authorization Data screen of PFCG, I have maintained all the fields and org values
Now when I am trying to create profile, it says " 11,000 field values from object S_TCODE were not entered in profile"
I am able to go back to the main PFCG screen but I see status " current version not generated" in the authorization tab of PFCG.
    What am I missing?

Sounds like you have too many tcodes in the menu for it to build and generate.
This can happen if you are inserting such a large number of transactions into the menu then generating.  I'm assuming you are using the Profile Generator insert IMG functions to make this role.  You may need to split the IMG up into two pieces in order to make this role if this is what you are doing.  Use SPRO_ADMIN to work with the IMG.   I would not change the standard IMG in order not to interferer with other IMG uses--make a temporary one for security.
Try and keep it under 20,000 tcodes and you should be OK.
    Cheers,
    Ben

  • Loading a dynamic generated profile... not really working

Hey all - ok simple question sort of.
I am generating a dynamic profile for the encoder.  It's to save to c:\videos on output with each user's unique id in the file name.  The user goes to a secure login, clicks the download profile link - and bam I have the XML file set to auto-open in Flash Media Encoder.  Problem is - it is not using my dynamically generated filename.  If I go to flash media encoder and OPEN Profile - and open the profile that was downloaded - all is well and the filename in the save to file is correct.  If you try to click on the profile file (xml file) or have firefox auto-open xml file into flash media encoder - it opens up the encoder but does not adjust any settings including the save to file location.
So my question is - is it possible to start a custom profile by simply clicking on the profile xml file (default app for it is the encoder)??  I have read up on the cmd line - option but that won't be an option in this case as we just want users to download / start a recording session.
Here is a sample of the profile generated:
I bolded the part that gets dynamically generated....

    Unfortunately no.
Put simply, there are a few major intel-related changes going on right now, and the short story is that the intel drivers are using newer tech than Mesa and such are. However, the required packages haven't been brought up to date yet (I think they haven't been marked stable upstream and such).
The first step however is kernel 2.6.28, which includes half of the "fix", to simplify. Now, this won't make your FPS go straight back up - you'll need to wait for newer versions of Mesa and such to be rolled out - but it's a start, especially if you don't already have 2.6.28.
From there, I'm sure you've seen this thread which outlines what to recompile. I'll probably wait though, since 100FPS is quite an upgrade for me - I didn't have hardware rendering until a month or so ago (I think) - and my system is slow enough as it is (it can't use DDR2 RAM) for me to really bother with fast graphics anyway.

  • How to generate profile batchly?

    Hi Experts,
Is there any way to generate roles' profile batchly?
    THanks a lot!
    shaoming

You can use program "sapprofc_new" - e.g. with the "auto" variant or build your own selection variant, or use transaction SUPC - it call the same program....
On the other hand, I am not sure what you'd like to acheive. Normally, one would like to ensure User Profiles are Compared - not rebuilt - using report PFCG_TIME_DEPENDECY. Not sure why you would like an automatic role rebuild... especially in a PRD environment.
Please note that usually - I believe this is an option when you install the system - all recent SAP installation (4.6C from a certain patch level, defo 4.7 and above) do not actually require user comparison to be performed. You still can user compare, but it is not required. As stated before, this is an option that can be selected upon the first PFCG use.
