No Of Transaction Per Schema Or Table

Hi all,
Is there any way to know how many transaction made on specific schema (insert, update, delete, query)

Just an idea, you may create trigger for DML and count them But what would the number mean?
For example, the number is a 1000 transactions (commits) done for the day that updated/inserted/deleted rows in the INVOICES table as part of the transaction.
It does not say how may rows from the INVOICES were affected. It does not say how much redo was consumed. It does not give an idea of the duration of the transaction. It does not say anything about how many other tables were affected by the transaction. It does not say anything about the amount of read and write I/O were spend by these transactions. That number of a 1000 transactions is meaningless.
So a simple way to get the number of transactions per table is to use the following SQL:
select table_name, round(dbms_random.value(:1,:2)) as TRANSACTIONS from user_tables order by 1;
where
:1 = minimum expected transactions (or roll 1d20 and multiply by 5)
:2 = maximum expected transactions (or roll 1d20 and multiply by a 1000)Click here for proof.

  • Calculate transaction per second

    Dear Friends ,
I have run the Oracle 10g with AIX unix server . I want to know "How many Transaction is occured per minute or second" in PEAK hour into my production server . How can I find it ? Give me some suggestions plz ... ..

An Oracle "transaction" isn't the same as Business "transaction". If you are getting "transactions per second" to report to management (even if it is IT management), you better be sure you identify which transactions you are counting.
If I run a PLSQL loop that does
    loop 1 to 1000
      insert into table ...
      commit ;
end loopI get 1,000 "transactions" and 1000 INSERT "executions" being reported by Oracle.
On the other hand if I run
      loop 1 to 1000
        insert into table ...
    end loop
commit;I get only 1 "transaction" and 1000 INSERT "executions" being reported by Oracle.
    Next, if I run
      insert into table ... select ... 1000 rows ..
commit;I get 1 "transaction" and 1 INSERT "execution".
Any database application will have a mix of "transactions" of different sizes being executed by different users / application server processes / clients.
If you take the aggregate "transactions" count you are going to be sorely disappointed and disappointing your managers !

  • Is XS Project right for Database Schema and tables

    Hi Friends
1.As per OpenSAP video it is suggesting to use XS Project for Database objects.
In my case I am planning to do AO Reporting and not creating any UI , is XS project still the right project type.
There is an option for General ->Project - would that be the right one.
    2. Also in my UI I am not able to see the Prefrences->SAP Hana Development ->Repository Access to set the regit.exe. I did see couple of post mentioned about it but the response was not very clear , hence asking the question again.

Project is used to group all the required development artifacts and the libraries required for them. So based on your requirement you can choose. I think "General" project would suffice your requirement if it is only to create schemas and tables.
But on the other hand if you choose to build an application using XS related libraries you can either choose to import those libraries later or create using a XS project now.
Will wait along with you to see  Thomas Jung comments on this.

Firstly from SP7, it is not required to setup regi.exe file. This file resides in hdbclient folder. So you need to check where you have installed hdbclient to see if you have that regi.exe file and configure it accordingly in the Path ( Preferences --> SAP HANA Development --> Repository Access ) you mentioned.

  • Global variable per schema

    Hi,
I want to define a variable per schema to hold a schema display name.
I thought about holding it in a specific table but I think it's wasteful to hold such a segment for that
and an access to the value causes block read.
I also thought about defining a function somthing like that:
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION getDisplayName RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
    BEGIN
    RETURN 'SchemaDisplayName';
    END getDisplayName ;
I also thought about session context but I want to avoid initializing it each time I connect to the schema.
Does anybody know what is the efficient way to hold it? Is the function solution is the best approach?
    Thanks
    dyahav

    Hi, Dyahav,
The function you posted does not take any arguments. Do you really want a constant, or do you want something that might return different values for different users? It would help if you posted more details about what you need, and how you see it being used.
If you want a constant, then a function is okay. If the value ever needs to change, the function will have to be changed. Although this may be a trivial change, not everyone is capable of doing it.
If you want to store some information keyed by username, tables were designed just for that sort of thing. I don't understand your objection to using a table. No matter where you store the information, it's going to take up space, and will require a disk read if it's not already in memory.
If the data is stored in a table, authorized users can be allowed to change it.
It's not unusual to have application-specific attributes attached to users. You may have others in the future. If you create a table, you can add more columns to the table to handle the new attributes.

  • Currency BAM is not in Table TCURR transaction were moved to table PTRV_CCC

    Hi Team,
we have problem , still we are maintaining currency  BAM not in TCURR table but when we upload the data credit card details
system shows error message " Currency BAM is not in Table TCURR transaction were moved to table PTRV_CCC for correctionot
we are maininting Exchaqnge rate like below
    GBP to BAM
can any one guide me where is the Mistake ,
    thanks
    Ranamka

    Hi,
To resolve this error, you will need the exchange rate defined in the TCURR table (ob08). Once defined, sap will just validate that it exists in teh system. The real exchange rate will be what Diner provides so the employees will see the correct GBP amount and the exchange rate from Diner (not from what you define in TCURR) and so the reimbursement in CAD will match what Diner is billing the employee.
Depending on your config, the exchange rate field should be grayed out for credit card charges so that employees cannot change it and so the amounts will always match the billed amount.
    Hope this helps.

    Your question makes no sense.
Tables are ALWAYS created by a USER. That user could be SYS, SYSTEM or any other user in the DB.

  • New User Database schema and table name

When i create a new user in Oracle Webcenter Spaces 11g, I am not able to get the name of the database schema and table, where it is stored. Any insight on this will be very helpful.

WebCenter (and WebCenter spaces) uses an 'identity store' instead of database schema for storing user information - in an 'out of the box' installation, users are maintained through an embedded WebLogic LDAP store.
See the Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle WebCenter, p. 34-2.
At the end of section 34.4.1:
WebCenter Spaces supports self-registration. When new WebCenter users
self-register, they create their own login and password and a new user account is
created in the identity store. See also, Section 34.4, "Allowing Self-Registration".

  • What is the exact purpose of Transaction NACE and NAST Table?

    Hi All,
What is the exact purpose of Transaction NACE and NAST Table?
    Pls help me…
    Akshitha.

    Hi
When a Output type in an apllication doc is configured with a Medium, Partner, Lang and other communication paramters an entry is created in NAST table
so to trigger the output an entry in NAST is compulsory
Output is a link between the Driver Program and the Sapscript,
An output type summarizes messages of the same meaning. It contains parameters that are valid for all its assigned messages, for example appropriate partner functions.
Transmission medium is a medium which the layout will be come out, this may be printout, Fax or Mail
    Check this link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/c8/19884743b111d1896f0000e8322d00/content.htm
    ex-how to config output type.
You will assign output types using Transaction NACE.
Do the follow steps to assign output type
1)Select Application Type V2 which will have description Shipping.
    2)Click on Output types button.
3)Go to change mode by pressing Ctrl+F4.
4)Select one output type which already exists
    5)Do Copy As(F6)
6)Give your output type against Output Type field.
7)Under General data Tab, Give Program and Form routine and Save the data.
i think it a work of functional guy but at senior level i think it is not a big deal for abaper.
    Check the following documentation
In NACE t-codewe have the application for each one. based on the application output type can be defined, based on output type script and print progrma can be defined.
If suppose data can be read from EDI then we should go for condition records.
So whenever we execute the script first composer checks the output type and then execute the program. in program whenever opn form FM will be populate then script will open first. After that again program till another FM will populate if it then script will populate........like it is cycle proces. Composer does all these things and at last it will submit that output to spool.
    Go to the Transaction NACE.
choose the related sub module.. like billing or shipping
    doubel click on Output Types
Choose the Output Type for which whcih you wanted your script to trigger
Then select the Output Type and double click on Processing Routine
Then go to create new entries--> Select the Medium (1- print output), then enter your Script and Print Program detls --> Save and come out
Now go to the Transaction (for which you have created the output type)... Issue output--> Select the output type --> Print....
Device Types for SAP Output Devices (Detail Information)
    Definition
The device type indicates the type of printer to be addressed. When you define an output device, choose the name of the device type that was defined in the SAP System for your printer model, such as Post2 for a PostScript printer. In the case of frontend printing under Microsoft Windows, you can also use the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN.
The system uses the information in the device type to convert a document from the internal SAP character representation (spool request in OTF or in text format) to a device-specific, print-ready data stream (output request). Since a device type specifies attributes that apply to all devices of a certain model, it can be shared among device definitions. For example, all devices in the SAP spool system that are compatible with Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIID printers would use the HPLJIIID device type.
You should not confuse the device type with the printer driver. The device type is the total of all attributes of an output device that the SAP System must know to control the output device correctly, such as control commands for font selection, page size, character set selection, and so on. These attributes also include the printer driver that SAPscript/Smart Forms (the SAP form processor) should use for this printer. The SAPscript printer driver that is to be used for devices of this type for output formatting is therefore only an attribute that the device type specifies.
How do I choose the correct device type?
    • In most cases, the SAP System already provides the appropriate device type for the printer type for the printer model that you want to use.
These standard device types are completely defined and need no modification or extension before you use them in device definitions.
    • You can also download missing device types from the sapserv server. For a current list of the supported device types, see SAP Note 8928 in the SAP Service Marketplace.
    • Most printers can be controlled using a generic format, such as PostScript. They can be switched to a mode that is compatible with one of the standard printers for which an SAP device type is available. In this case, a supported model is emulated.
    • Almost all printers are delivered with Microsoft Windows printer drivers. The system can control these printers with the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN. The Microsoft Windows spool system then performs the processing of the print data.
    • If the specified device types are not available, and generic device types cannot be used, you must create your own device type or edit a copy of an existing device type. We recommend that only those with specialist knowledge of the SAP Spool System and printer driver code do this. For more information, see Defining a New Device Type .
    Attributes of a Device Type
A device type is distinguished by the attributes listed below. If you change an existing device type or create a new device type, you must change at least some of these attributes.
    • Character set: A character set specifies the codes with which characters must be represented in the print-ready output stream (output request). This code replaces the generic SAP characters set that is used internally by the SAP spool system (spool request).
    • Printer driver: You can specify different printer drivers for printing SAPscript documents and ABAP lists.
    • Print controls: Print controls represent printer operations, such as boldface or changing the font size. These print control are replaced by printer-specific commands during the creation of the output request from a spool request.
    • Formats: Formats specify the format supported by the SAP system. The system differentiates between SAPScript formats (DINA4 and LETTER) and ABAP list formats (X_65_132 = 65 rows/132 columns).
    • Page format: A page format is the interface between a format and SAPscript. It specifies the paper dimensions with which SAPScript can calculate the row and column lengths.
    • Actions: Actions are output device-specific commands that are required for the implementation of a format. The action printer initialization, for example, can contain a printer command with which the number of rows on a page is defined. There is a set of actions for every format supported by a device type.

    Hi,
    refere this link,
    http://fuller.mit.edu/misc/creating_sm30_transaction.htm
VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL : or SM30 is actually called u201CCall View Maintenance
In a nutshell, this program provides a simple selection screen with VKORG, radiobutton for either dollar amount or quantity, and two pushbuttons: Display and Maintain. Then the program fills in the action field and the selection table (i_sellilst) according to the useru2019s selections. When the button is pushed, the screen goes to the same screen as SM30 (sans the first selection screen, of course) and brings up the values that fit the criteria. When the user clicks u201Cbacku201D (green arrow)

can some one tell me how can i solve this

    Hi,
I really don't know if it is possible to create an invoice in AR with no transaction lines. When I interface invoices from another system to AR (and there is no need to detail inventory items), I use a single line with a dummy inventory item or with no inventory item (inventory_item_id and warehouse_id set to null) in transaction lines, and I use the description field to describe the link to the other software in a user-friendly way.

You need a Database Designer and a Database Administrator.
    1. With experience of having done so earlier or having learned as an understudy to someone with expertise
    2. Look up the Oracle 11g database SQL documentation. See http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/homepage
    3. See the Oracle 11g database Administrator's Guide and Security Guide (from the above URL)
    4. Through a proper Change Control procedure. Each organisation has it's own methods of source code control and deployment.

  • New to Oracle, Need to connect forms 9i with oraclient 10g schemas n tables

    Hi,
I am very new to oracle applications and i am not even sure if the terminology i am using is right. I have trained on Oracle SQL/PL and Forms 9i recently and i am trying to create an oracle environment where i can practice.
I have downloaded the Oraclient 10g and 9i Developer suite. I want to use the forms applications and even do coding for SQL/PL from the forms sql/pl editor.
I am not able to connect the forms application to the database as it is asking for a username, pswd and a host string. During installation i have not given any id's or passwords.
can someone help me on how i can start using the existing tables from the oraclient and build forms.
thanks in advance for the help.

thanks. i don't know what to read as the course i did was totally on a developer track, i have knowledge of DB only through PL/SQL and i have forms 9i. I understand that one needs to link up the forms to some sort of a database schemas n tables to be able to start working with it's pl/sql editor. and i know i have the database with the oraclient 10g. all i need to know now is how to connect this database to the forms client. cuz everytime i go into the pl/sql editor it is asking of me to provide a user name, password and a host string which i don't know where to get from. please guide
