  • Automatic startup of weblogic admin server of OBIEE11g on linux box

    We stopped Admin server from weblogic admin console, now when we tried to start the admin server we are able to start it, but when we close the command line the Admin server stopped automatically, unable to access Console/EM, how to make Admin server to run as a background process on Linux box,
    If anyone has any thoughts on what might be going on here I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Have you tried to nohup the start script? I use this on AIX to start the apps. I don't have a Linux server but I think it would work there, too. At the command line you would type 'nohup start.sh &'. Replace start.sh with the name of your start script. This will run the script in the background and it will keep running even after you log off.

  • No output at all from stored procedure?

    if I compile and run stored procedure as follows:
    1. right click on stored proceudre, select "run"
    2. update input parameter with values
    3. select 'OK'
    I get the following in the running-log, but no result. If I run the in a SQL tab, the data will show in a result tab, but not when I run the stored procedure itself. any ideas?
    Connecting to the database xxxx.
    Process exited.
    Disconnecting from the database xxxx.

    No results if I run a simple sproc like this which contains a select statement. Is there anything I need to do to see the result when a cursor is used?
    If only execute the statement itself, the results is in the result query.

  • Java closes IE for all users except admin - help!

    I have citrix installed using AD and GPO's. If I login as administrator then I can use java fine. if I login as a user then anytime I try to goto a web site or luanch the java console it closes with no error messages. it is as if I didn't even run the application. I have enabled the setting int he GPO for java, is there another one I am mising?
    Please advise...

    I'd guess the 'legal' way to do this is via the Exchange Shell.  Try Get-OWAVirtualDirectory | fl and see what the authentication methods are.  Then try Get-ECPVirtualDirectory | fl
    Try also looking at the properties of the ECP directory in IIS Manager, and see if IWA is enabled.
    The settings should be configured using the shell, though, to make sure that what is stored in the Exchange configuration in AD correctly reflects what is set in IIS, which doesn't keep that sort of information in AD.

  • Invalidate session with weblogic.Admin

    Hi,
    I tried to invalidate sessions using weblogic.Admin using the command: java weblogic.Admin -url t3://localhost:8013 -username system -password *** GET -pretty -type ServletSessionRuntime. The output was:
    MBeanName: "R3:Location=PIA,Name=B0lYRDnVqlw1VzPZO1XszSFlIASW017b!1102341400731,ServerRuntime=PIA,Type=ServletSessionRuntime"

    Parent: PIA

    Then tried to invalidate it using:
    java weblogic.Admin -url t3://localhost:8013 -username system -password *** INVOKE -mbean "R3:Location=PIA,Name=B0lYRDnVqlw1VzPZO1XszSFlIASW017b!1102341400731,ServerRuntime=PIA,Type=ServletSessionRuntime" -method INVALIDATE
    ANd the error message: bash: !1102341400731: event not found
    Do you know how to handle this? Or any other way to invalidate session from weblogic.Admin?

    Hello,
    I have a system consisting of three different departments, each department has its own login page with different username and password.
    from the same browser, all three administrators can log in successfully, during there login, one session is created with different attributes for each of them, if any one administrator logs out, I invalidate the session, which logs out the other two administrators.
    Can I use session Id to log out on administrator while the other two can stay logs in?
    If I am using the wrong approach all together, can anyone suggest an alternative please?
    here is my code to create session:
    // if correct username and password entered then create session
    String financeAdminSess = adminUsername;
    session.setAttribute("financeAdminSess", adminUsername);
    String redirectURL = "finance_admin_home.jsp";
    response.sendRedirect(redirectURL);
    and here is the code for loggin out:
    // get session
    String financeAdminSess=(String) session.getAttribute("financeAdminSess");
    // remove session
    session.removeAttribute("financeAdminSess<br />");
    // invalidate session
    session.invalidate();
    Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Weblogic.Admin utility !!!

    Hi All,
    Will weblogic.Admin utility cause any load on the servers (performance issue), if used extensively to get the below runtime data of a domain
    --> server state using GETSTATE
    --> ExecuteQueueRuntime
    --> JMSDestinationRuntime
    --> MessagingBridgeRuntime
    weblogic version : 8.1 sp5
    Cheers,
    Thalla.

    Hi Thalla,
    One of our Production Env is setup to fetch Thread Dumps and Many kind of Runtime Details of <b>WLS 9.2 MP2</b> using "weblogic.Admin" utility Over SSL ...<b>At regular Interval of 6-Minutes</b> From past 2-3 Years we never saw any Performance related issue because of this utility...
    I hope the same behaviour we will find in WLS8.1 SP5 as well.. as we have already tested it in WLS9.2 MP2 ..so i can assure you that In WLS9.2 MP2...It works with Charm without any performance impact...And I expect that It will Just work Extremely great in WLS8.1 SP5 as well..

  • Weblogic.Admin command for stopping all Managed Servers in cluster

    Hello All,
    I am using Weblogic 9.2 MP3 on Linux env. I have a domain which has 16 Managed servers which are part of a cluster, I have eight Managed Servers running on one physical machine and other eight running on another physical Machine.
    I know we can do all stop and all start of Managed servers from console if we have node manager setup. We do not want to have node manager setup in our env.
    I am looking for a way to do that using java weblogic.Admin utility
    Please let me know on how we can achieve this using weblogic.Admin utility by passing clustername argument.
    Thanks
    Weblogic Consultant

    hi sir,
    I think in weblogic 9.2 weblogic.Admin utility is deprecated but it works in 9.2. We have better option than weblogic.Admin utility nothing but WLST. If u want to start using weblogic.Admin we have command
    java weblogic.Admin -url adminhost:listenport -username xxxx -password xxxx START managedservername
    java weblogic.Admin -url adminhost:listenport -username xxxx -password xxxx SHUTDOWN managedservername
    java weblogic.Admin -url adminhost:listenport -username xxxx -password xxxx START clustername
    java weblogic.Admin -url adminhost:listenport -username xxxx -password xxxx SHUTDOWN clustername
    If u want to use WLST for starting managed servers and clusters
    check the follwing steps.
    1. java weblogic.WLST
    2. startNodeManager()
    3. TAKE ANOTHER COMMAND PROMPT START ADMIN SERVER
    4. TAKE ANOTHER COMMAND PROMPT
    java weblogic.WLST
    5. start('man1','Server') or start('man1','Server','localhost:7003')
    6. start('mycluster','Cluster')
    7.shutdown('man1','Server') or start('man1','Server','localhost:7003')
    8.shutdown('mycluster','Cluster')

  • URGENT HELP on HTTP Handler class from WebLogic

              Hi,
              We are using a configuration where Weblogic is behind a firewall
              and we are making http calls to hosts on the same
              internal network and to hosts on the Internet. For Internet hosts
              we make the http calls pass thru a firewall configured to act as
              a proxy.
              The way you do it is use JVM settings http.proxyHost, http.proxyPort
              and http.nonProxyHosts.
              Now I found that the JVM setting "http.nonProxyHosts"
              is ignored by the weblogic http url connection class resulting
              in
              packets intended for local hosts being sent to the firewall/proxy
              and obviously getting rejected. This happens because Weblogic uses
              its own Http URL Connection class from weblogic.net.http.HttpURLConnection.
              This replaces Sun provided defualt HttpURLConnection class which
              works fine
              Is this a known problem in Version 5.1 sp8 on Solaris
              7 ? How can I make http calls (using java.net classes) to
              internal hosts directly when "http.proxyHost" property is set ?
              PLEASE HELP !!
              Thanks
              Atish

    There were quite a few problems reported here when using WebLogic's
              handlers for outgoing HTTP (and HTTPS) connection - all can be
              easily avoided by using Sun's implementation:
              streamhandler = get reference to a sun's stream handler
              URL url = new URL(null, urlString, streamhandler);
              URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();

Somehow all the invitations go out in German but for my colleages in Spain and in the UK it makes it difficult to understand what they have to do with this invitation. It doesn't help when I change the language in the admin console....Thanks for your help

    Hey Eric,
    Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
    Again, thanks for trying, it is appreciated.

  • Nano3rdgen Copying playlist from itunes to ipod and it says it can't copy certain songs to ipod cos of file type.These problem songs all from same album, all ACC file type and all copied fine when I copied the album itself few weeks ago-help!

    When copying playlist from itunes to nano3rd message comes saying 9 of songs can't be copied to ipod cos of file type. These 9 are all from same album, all ACC and all copied fine when I copied the album itselm some weeks ago.  Rest of playlist was ACC too.  P.S. album is a CD-R copied version-is this an issue? HELP I AM DESPAIRING!

    I never laughed in all my life. Here I was, inserting the cd Dance with Me, thinking it's not going to copy the whole thing. yeah, right.
    Sure, it prompted me, Do I want to replace the songs, so of course I said "no, don't replace the songs". and guess what it did. It copied the whole cd (at least I got my two songs).
    I went into the itunes library, and sure enough, all the songs were there twice. So what did my intelligent brain think of? I just unchecked the doubled songs and stuck my ipod into my computer and it synched up and I got what I wanted.
    Now what did I do wrong when it prompted me. I clicked on "don't replace" and it replaced them anyway.
    Am I dumb? or is itunes stupid?
    thanks, Melody
