  • I can't see the photo tab when trying to sync my iphone from itunes

For some reason, all the tabs are not showing on itunes when trying to sync my iphone. The 'photos' tab in particular is missing. It shows I can scroll to the right to possibly see the rest of the tabs, but when I scroll across to the right, it moves the whole page across, but nothing from itunes moves across with the page. Sorry, it's hard to explain. I hope you can help.

Sorry, it's probably really easy to do, but I'm not sure how to change it. I have a Mac book. Can you help? It's strange that it seems to be the only tab missing, and only when I connect my iphone to sync, it doesn't happen when I sync my ipod. It's weird, and it never used to disappear. I need the photo tab back
Sorry, and thanks to anyone that can help

  • Error in recognizing the "photo" tab in Itunes when syncing to Ipad

    Hi guys,
I am not able to sync the photos with my Ipad anymore. When the IPad is connected to the Mac and ITunes is running, the Ipad is detected but the the last tab "Photos" in the upper right side if ITunes cannot show me the options to check the boxes of which photos I would like to sync. I've already restored the IPad, changed the computer, updated the iTunes version, but the problem remains. It seems not to be a problem with the ITunes since this event does not occur with my IPhone. My ITunes version is 11.2.2 (3), my Iphoto version in 8.1.2 (424) and my OS X version is 10.9.2. The device is an IPad 2 MC980GP/A.
I attached a printed screen image to give you an example.
And when a try to transfer photos by dragging files from iPhoto to Itunes, an error message indicates that the files could not be copied since the file type is not compatible with my iPad. As you can see, I am transferring .jpg, .png and .bmp photo files.... so
I could transfer some photos with the TunesGo for Mac but I really wanna fix this problem and continue transferring my photos from iPhoto using the iTunes.
    Thank y'll for the help.
    Bruno

my Iphoto version in 8.1.2 (424) and my OS X version is 10.9.2.
Your iPhoto version is not compatible with Mavericks, even if it is working. In the long run, consider to upgrade to iPhoto 9.5.1 and MacOS X 10.9.4.
You seem to have covered most of the trouble shooting already. Perhaps it is problem with broken preferences files.
Open your Home/Library/Preferences folder and move these files to the Desktop, if they exist:
    com.apple.iApps.plist
    com.apple.iApps.lockfile
Then reboot and try syncing the photos again.
Your User library is hidden by default since MacOS X 10.7.  Lion.
Select the "Home" folder icon (the little house)  in the Finder's sidebar and press the key combination ⌘J to open the "view options".
    Enable "Show Library Folder".
Then open the "Library" folder in your home folder, locate the "Preferences" folder and remove the  files
    mentioned above.

  • I am a new Apple/ipad user and trying to sync photos from pc to ipad. Picture moved to ipad in one giant  folder instead of the many specific folders that are on my pc. How do I sync multipule folders so that the photos show up in seperate folders on my

I am a new apple/ipad user and trying to transfer photos to my new ipad2 from my windows pc using itunes. The pictures all transfered to my ipad in one very large folder (My Pictures) on the ipad2 instead of the multipule folders that were on my pc. Do I have to re sort all of them into folders on the ipad2 or is it possible to sync the seperate folders to the ipad2?

    Create main folder e.g. Folder A, then sub-folders inside A e.g. B, C, D and have your Photos in B, C, D.
In iTunes Sync, click your device on the left Pane, then on right pane select "Photo" tab.
Make sure Sync photo box is checked, then select folder A, then All folders box within the selection.
Click Apply or Sync button at the lower right window.
you will have B,C,D folders under Albums.

  • My iPad won't sync photos with iTunes & the photos tab has gone on itunes

I'm using an iMac with itunes version 11.1.5 and I have been trying to sync my iPad to add photos but it keeps failing. However i have noticed that there doesnt seem to be a "photos" tab any longer on iTunes has this option been removed??
    Many thanks

You can never totally remove anything that you have purchased from iTunes, the App Store, or iBooks. Your purchases will always be tied to your Apple ID. You can hide those songs by going to Settings>iTunes and App Store>Show all>Music>Off. You can do the same for videos.
But bear in mind, all that you are doing is hiding the purchases and they will not be downloaded to your device unless you go back to that settings, show the songs again and then tap the cloud to download them to the iPad.

  • Syncing photo's from iphoto adds another 'photo library' without deleting 'camera roll' photo

    Hi there,
I found that I can add photo's (without deleting my existing camera roll) to my Iphone 4 from my girlfriends mac to my iphone by syncing from iphoto and selecting the photo events or folder I want. Then pressing 'apply' adds a new photo library to my phone with these selected pics in them. In this cercumstance I can only delete these photos using the same process by de-selecting them in 'sync from iphoto' and again pressing 'apply' There is no function / icon in my actual iphone to delete this library or even individual photo.
However when I try this exact same process on my girlfriends Iphone 4 (same model) the 'apply' function threatens to delete all photos from her phone, leaving her with ONLY the ones selected / checked.
Just in case it is part of explaining this I have tried this logged in on my account and hers but both have the same results in every combination. There appear to be two different set of rules going on here within I-tunes I would prefer to be able to add photo's without deleting existing ones but I would also like to be able to selectively delete these photo's once on my phone without going back to connect to tha mac.
Can anyone explain if this is possible or am I asking for 'my cake AND eat it' ?
Why are ther differences in our phones governing rules in Itunes?

Thanks Winston, you are correct "sync". In fact I found the answer in a slightly different way. There is a check-box in the photo's tab that provides for syncing photo's before any media. Therefore this will in fact create the necessary space on the ATV for the photo's by moving other media content from syncing to streaming.
Of course the alternative, as you point out is to limit what actually gets synced in custom sync.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
    Regards

  • ITunes 9 only wants to sync photos ( huh? )

It looks like the new iTunes actually downgraded us AppleTV users, otherwise it's broke.
After setting up the ATV again to sync to iTunes the only tab available to manage syncing is "Photos". Then on my ATV it shows "shared [videos]" below "my [videos]" so all my available media is accessible through streaming but there's no controls for syncing to the ATV in anyway but photos.
    Very strange.

You'd be surprised at the number of issues that relate apparently to software updates, fortunately most are likely the result of the updated software finding issues with a not so well maintained system or incompatibilities with 3rd party software.
Personally I'm not convinced that Chenks didn't have the correct solution for the OP, the symptoms sound very much like the wrong type of library is in use.

  • How do I sync photos from iPhone to iMac with a hardwire?

How do I sync photos from my iPhone to my iMac with a hardwire now that I am on iCloud?

If you want to use your usb cable, you import them to your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  You transfer them from your Mac to your phone by selecting Sync Photos on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

  • Sync photo albums

I have spent considerable time organizing photos into albums iPhoto
in Mac (Lion).  Yet when I sync my iPad2 to this machine, it receives all the individual photos, but none of the "album" collections.   What am I missing here?

My Mac has Sync settings (within iTunes) on the iPhoto tab set as follows:
    - Sync iPhotos "From iPad" (Now I'm guessing this should be "From Mac" if I'm intending the Max to be the Boss machine)
    - Sync All Photos, Events, Faces and Albums
Thanks for the help as I struggle to wrap my mind around a new context/vernacular !

  • Issues Syncing Photos to PC from iPad with ios5 with Solution.

As far as transferring pictures TO your PC FROM the Ipad2 (in my case) with Windows 7, I have a done a lot of testing with the new IOS5. As far as I can tell, only pictures taken with the device can be uploaded. So pictures to the iPad using Dropbox; iCloud or services like that cannot be re-uploaded.
Having said that, it appears to me that syncing photos is a one-way sync operation, from the PC to the Ipad. I cannot get pictures taken on the Ipad to sync to the PC. I thought the camera roll was synching, but I was wrong. There is an 'IPOD Photo Cache' but there are no jpg's in there. I also took a photo with the IPAD and moved it to a new album with the new features of the Photo app. I then sync'd. This new album was NOT uploaded to my Pictures folder. The new IPAD IOS5 user guide does not even mention this. It only talks about the optional camera attachment kit.
I did some research and found this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
This shows that you have to use Autoplay to upload your photos. I tested this and it works, but only from the camera roll and not from any created albums, so don't delete any photos from the camera roll until you have uploaded.
This goes against conventional wisdom of the sync process and surprised me. I always assumed my camera roll was syncing .. I never tested it!! Sync is also dangerous in that if you delete on the PC and resynch, it will be gone.
(Note sync may restore the camera roll in the event of a problem. I have not tried that. I am talking about making sure you can access them on the PC later, or in the event of an issue and you lose them).
Another knock against Apple .. how convoluted can they make it?
Another option is to use a service like DropBox to upload photos to your PC. iCloud claims to do it as well, but only 1000 photos (quite a lot I think) but only for 30 days and then they are gone. Make sure you transfer them out on your PC if you use this. Sync does not do it.
Dropbox is great, but one photo at a time.

With the .avi. you'll need to import the videos into itunes which will optimize them for the iPad (if the .avi's dont work, look into something like Handbrake, mpegstreamclip or format facory(pc only) to convert the video to mp4 or m4v files. Then try syncing them via the video/movie tab in iTunes.

  • Syncing photos FROM iphone TO windows xp

How do I sync my photos FROM the iphone TO my xp desktop?
    inb4 buy a mac
    inb4 buy an app
    Itunes version 9.0.2.25
I have asked this question many times with no answer. *** is your problem, Apple?

in fact, if i remember correctly, it even worked in itunes, which no longer even has a photo tab.
Your memory is incorrect. iTunes has never handled the importing of photos from the iPhone's Camera Roll. The Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes is for transferring selected photos from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process ONLY.
(and btw thanks, if i could find the answer in the manual, i wouldn't have posted).
You're welcome. If you couldn't find this in the user guide, you didn't look very well or you spent very little time looking.
what does that even mean? is there a way to manipulate images from the camera roll to somewhere else?
It means exactly as I provided, which I can't provide any clearer.
Photos captured by your iPhone - photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll are not synced. *_Photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera._*

  • Syncing Photos with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0

I have an iphone and a 160GB iPod classic. I have been syncing my photos from Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 to these devices. However, I recently upgraded to version 7 of Elements. I kept version 6 on my computer as well in case I needed to go back to it. So, my photo catalog for v7 is a different name. My question is how I point my iphone and ipod to sync with the new catalog and not the old one. And, does syncing photos between iTune and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 even work yet?
    Thanks!

My question is how I point my iphone and ipod to sync with the new catalog and not the old one.
This is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences, and the same for your iPod sync preferences.
Syncing with Elements 7 should work.

  • How to sync photos in itunes 9.0 - help~~~

After downloading itunes 9.0, I couldn't find sync photos in itunes 9.0. What should I do??

  • ITunes has stopped working while sync photos

I have been having problems since I updated iTunes to 10.4, it keeps crashing (itunes has stopped working) while sync photos. After uninstalling and re-installing the problem still stayed. I therefore tried sync photos a batch at a time (15 photos at a time) IT WORKED but I still cannot sync my videos. I think that the problem is that this new version of itunes cannot cope with big files and therefore it crashes. I HOPE THAT APPLE WILL SORT OUT THIS PROBLEM

downgrade to itunes 10.3 as 10.4 broke this feature. if not, just unclick the include videos box and your sync should complete. here's hoping apple fixes this in itunes 10.5.
