No record fond in JSP

Question

Hi
I have writen JSP application wherein the consumers give there number and can get details related to them.In case consumer is not existent , the application should show login.jsp again. How can I get it done without writting two select statements as this increases overhead. I dont want to use procedures as well.

Hi,
I think it can be resolved in the Database itself - using something like this :-
CREATE TABLE TBL_LOGIN_DETAILS
        ID NUMBER,
        NAME VARCHAR2(100)
INSERT INTO TBL_LOGIN_DETAILS VALUES(1,'SANDEEP');
INSERT INTO TBL_LOGIN_DETAILS VALUES(2,'SESHAN');
COMMIT;
SELECT * FROM TBL_LOGIN_DETAILS
WHERE
EXISTS ( SELECT 1 FROM TBL_LOGIN_DETAILS WHERE ID = 100 )
AND ID = 100;Perhaps, you can use the usual ResultSet in your DAO ( or the JSP ) to check if the control enters the resultset.next() block & make a decision.
